As per usual the place was rather busy though I was still able to chat with my friend without feeling rushed or pressured to leave. I decided to order the Chicken caesar salad this time. There is the option to have it as a starter or as a main course. In my opinion, what is given as the starter is plenty. I was not disappointed at all when it was served in front of me. There was plenty of chicken and it was very fresh and filling. My only query is whether brown bread was supposed to come with it as I didn't get any but thought it was mentioned on the menu. However, it didn't matter as what I had was plenty and I didn't need anymore. My friend ordered the sandwich special and it came with chips. We both enjoyed our food and I am sure that I will return here for lunch in the not so distant future. I would recommend this place for good quality food in comfortable surroundings. However, be careful about when you come as it can often get quite busy.

I always enjoy visiting the tea rooms! I went in during lunch and was very busy. I had the honey baked ham panini, with my friend having a toasted sandwich. Both were very tasty indeed. The service was polite, but a little slow. Also had a white tea from their extensive tea range. Delicious! I have eaten here before and have always found the experience positive, with both the food and atmosphere being top notch. They serve the nicest fried breakfast I have eaten! They are however slightly more expensive, but Im sure you get what you pay for in this case!

A party of 5 of us arrived without a booking but we were catered for so well. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Extensive menu. The food arrived very quickly and it was all delicious. The Moroccan Tagine was highly recommended by friends. I enjoyed the alternative version of Caesar Salad with prawns. Will definately revisit when in Kilkenny again.

Have visted here a few times and have always found the service pretty slow which is very disappointing. Ordered d mixed grill-3 of us ordered the same- and it took over a half hour for it to arrive at our table and the same day was not busy at all.Staff would'nt be the friendliest either. Hugely diappointed considering it is part of Langtons House Hotel.

I adore the food and their cheesecake is to die for! Service with a smile and this is one of my favourite places. As it is usually quite busy, I find it takes a while for the fod to arrive but otherwise superb!

I was really disappointed with this place having heard so many great reviews! We had a couple of hot chocolates which arrived at different times and as my friend was vegetarian she asked for a vegetarian sandwich which came with some lettuce tomato and mayonnaise! We had the Ice cream selection for desert which was fine but the experience was tarnished at that stage.

I love this place. I have been a couple of times and each time exceeds the last. There breakfast is superb and their homemade desserts are to die for! Great value as well. Its should be called the Magic Tea Rooms because even though it is always jammed packed just people are coming in here always seems to be people leaving. Some of the staff are really friendly others are not so friendly.

I am a regular costumer of this place, even though I live quite far away from there - 45 mins drive. Their homemade cheesecake is my favorite, I actually have I specially ordered for my birthday. I have tried all the dishes on their menu, just fabulous, so tasty... really looking forward to go back there this weekend.

Have been quite a number of times in the day however went with a few friends for something to eat before heading out on a Saturday night. The food was lovely and we ate from the value meal where we had two courses for €20 - good sizes. Would highly recommend the stickie toffee pudding! A good one to bear in mind in these recessionary times!

I'm a regular here most weekends. On every visit the place has been very busy. There is something for everyone on the menu and I have tried numerous items now and and have really enjoyed each one. The service is fast and effecient, the atmosphere nice and it's casual which means no need to dress up. It's worth checking out for a nice lunch after shopping, Sunday dinner or even a casual evening meal.
