My boyfriend and I came here last Saturday night as we had been here the week before and rather liked the food. I made a reservation just a few hours prior and there was no problem. As we had a loyalty card the 3 course meal with a bottle of wine was not very expensive as the wine came for free! For starters, the soup of the day was ordered. It was very nice and was served with a choice of breads. For the main course I went for the pork which was perfectly cooked and my boyfriend ordered the steak which he really enjoyed. I asked for some alterations to my dish and this wasn't a problem. For dessert we ordered the chocolate brownie and the orange polenta cake. I much preferred my dessert this time and was only barely able to finish it as the meal was very filling. All in all we had a very enjoyable evening, cannot fault the food in any way and with the loyalty card rewards we will definitely be returning!

Had a great experience in Cafe Sol on a recent trip to Kilkenny. Great choice on menu for both day time and night time. Pork belly and Indian chicken were very tasty and to follow the best sticky toffee pud. Reasonably priced and very pleasant staff. Will be back.
