We went on Friday 25th, five mums looking for a lovely meal without the distractions of feeding kids etc. We booked a table fro 6:50 pm and granted were arrived at approx 7:10 pm. Sat at the table ordered drinks and the waitress came to provide our menus. Out initial thought was that the menu was a little restricted and not fantastic choice so we asked if there was any chance we could get the early bird. To our own admission we were late but the manager said jokingly if we order plenty of wine we could have the early bird menu! so we were delighted! We place out order all from early bird and the starters came after a little wait but were delicious so we thought great! It took a while for our plates to be cleared Although it wasn't overly busy and had no wine left. So our meals came out..... I have to be honest and say mine was the only "OK" one out of the table. I had Steak. Two of the three steaks one rare one medium came out well done and two had turbot which in their opinion was over cooked. We had to ask waiter for more drinks And then we mentioned the food... Week the shock we had the way we were dealt with was UNBELIEVABLE to say the least !!!!!!! The "rare" steak was SWIPED of my friend without even an apology !! The medium steak the lady kept after she seen the attitude of the waiter! Then when the other two ladie mentioned the turbot they too were SWIPED awa without a word and then the manager and owner cam out to defend the turbot that it was not overcooked And ladies who ordered it didn't know what they were talking about!! No such thing here as the customer is right despite what the restaurant think!!!!! When we mentioned the steak they still never apologised and said"were getting you another aren't we!!" so the steak came back still supposed to be rare and appeared well done again!!! The fish never reappeared and to be honest at this stage our night was ruined and we asked for the bill to which we received for the full amount!!!! We got a lot of abuse from the owner we settled the drinks at owners request

We’ve walked passed here many times without even noticing it but this place is a little hidden gem. The service was very friendly, the seafood fresh and tasty and the place has a lovely cosy atmosphere. The Sunday lunch menu is good value and the selection is still good (The roast pork was especially tasty!). Looking forward to our next visit very soon.
