I ate here with my mum and we left very dissapointed. I got battered cod with chips. The bater was soggy and greasy and far from crispy, the fish was undercooked also. My mum ordered pork chops - which were definately reheated. Dry and tough and chewy. The service was good and the atmosphere was ok but we wont be returning any time soon. The prices were good but not for the standard of food your paying for.

I come here every sunday for lunch. The carvery is really good and best in maynooth and leixlip that ive eaten for choice and taste. The ham and turkey is good but the all day breakfast is great for a hang over cure.

Eat here quite often, food is always lovely, portion sizes large and the price is very reasonable. Really good quality food.Would highly recommend the stir fry chicken and the banoffee or pavloa for dessert (delicious!) Place has been recently decorated which has added to a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere

Been here a few times and have always found the staff to be quiet friendly. Have often requested a salad which was not on the menu and there has never been any problem. Availed of the carvery, on a sunday a few weeks back, and the portion size was quiet large and the options were good. Would definitely go back.

Have eaten here twice in the past 6 months; on our first occasion, my husband (who is a restaurant manager and owner for the past 20 years in a number of different countries, including Ireland) ordered a steak "medium rare"; the steak arrived well done (his pet peeve!) and he sent it back; the owner arrived at our table and asked what the problem was; my husband explained that he had requested a medium-rare steak, had received a well-done steak and would appreciate a new steak; the manager proceeded to explain how his chef does medium-rare and explained that medium-rare is different in Ireland to North America (husband's accent is obvious)!; we all basically laughed as if he had told a joke but it turned out, he wasn't joking! He tried to tell my husband that in future, if he wants his steak done medium-rare (i.e. pinky-red in the middle) he needs to request rare! This has been a great source of amusement to us ever since. Hubby said with all due respect, manager to manager, owner to owner, he can hardly expect customers to request something they don't want and suggested that he instruct his chefs to cook food as it is requested by the customer. If he ordered rare and received rare, should he send it back and say that he although he ordered rare he was expecting medium-rare?? Anyway, we went back two weeks ago and hubby ordered the steak again and would you believe, he ordered his steak m-r and received well-done - didn't complain this time but vowed never to return; if an owner cannot take constructive criticism on board and ensure that the basics are not covered, it has to make you wonder... I have given a service rating of 2 - this is for the staff that did bring food and drinks in a timely manner, not for the manager/owner and his attitude and poor customer service skills. He has been in the business long enough - he should know better.

I've eaten here regularly over the past couple of months, and the lunchtime carvery is one of the best around - very good food, well-cooked, good portions, and excellent value. And they keep the standard up in the evening, although it is a bit pricier. The redesign also makes it a very nice place to eat in. Highly recommended for lunch.

I have visited this restaurant on many occasions but have to say that the food and quality of service is severely lacking. Food portions for the carvery are very small- charged for extra scoop of mash or veg. Never experienced such greed at carvery before!!! Asked for extra slice of meat and was charged 4euro for this. Absolutely extortionate price! Certainly not value for money. I will not be returning again.

Had lunch here recently, and I have to say it was excellent. Just had panini with chips and salad, but it was really delicious. And it was great value, only 7.25 euro! They have recently refurbished the place and it looks great. Would highly recommend it for a quick bite at lunchtime. Will definitely return.

We eat there at least 20 times a year and have never ever had a bad meal there. Haven’t found anywhere to equal it either! I recommend the pepper burger, yum! And the garlic mushrooms! Everything is lovely.
