Myself, my husband and two small children ate at The Dew Drop Last Sunday. I will begin with the positives. The place was clean, had a pleasant atmosphere and our waiter was polite. However we found the food to be bland and slightly overpriced for what you get. It must be said that the Kid's Eat Free made things a bit easier on the wallet. Not too bad but not my favourite by a long shot.

I hadnt been here in years since its sloppy meat and 2 veg days, and had seen it was ran by the same group who own harte's bar in kildare, so we decided to try it out, to be honest the food was poor, not near the same in their kildare spot, i had the steak on the stone concept, opted for the fillet which was sour and grey around the edges,i reported this to my waiter who was lovely and was promptly given a second one which was better, though quite tough, (may have been put off by my first offering) the sauce was gloopy and looked like bisto and didnt taste much better, my brother had the chicken stuffed with chorizo and white wine sauce he said it was bizarre, i didnt disagree.my wife had the fishcakes which she loves in hartes, but said they were bland. kids ate free so we were happy with that.though friendly efficient service, The dew drop inn is not up to par with their other pub, or many other pubs with similar accolades.

I eat here quite regularly, and I must admit I enjoy it a lot. However, I have felt that one or two of their dishes can be touch and go in so far as they have tasted completely different, every now and then, and not always in a good way. Overall, I generally always leave pleased and well fed. My family and I always find the staff courteous and attentive, very child friendly. The atmosphere is great. Their sister restaurant, Hartes, is definitely a little more "up-market" but I would still count the Dew Drop Inn as one of my faves! They should start doing breakfast, they'd do great business!

Was here just after Christmas so as you can imagine they were very busy when we arrived, we were promptly sat at our table in the Lounge and given menus as per any place you would go into. We had gone here because we had eaten in Hartes bar, Kildare Town which we found lovely & their food presentation brilliant, as the Dew Drop is their sister pub we were expecting the same. The food although okay lacked a certain wow factor for me and also my friend would have said the same after our experience in their sister pub, good honest pub grub which willl fill you up but if your looking for something to wow you the Dew Drop will not be the place. All round pleasant experience though & good service

Was in with a good friend so it nice to be able to catch up as there wasn't large amounts of noise even though there was a crowd. Staff were friend & well able to handly the full lounge. Our waiter was very helpful, checking if we needed drinks & if our meals were satifactory (which they most certainly were). I'd highly sujest going for the HOTROCK steak. It was a novelty to be able to cook my own steak at the table - and the accompaning home made fries & onions were cooked to perfection.

Amazing value for money when you eat here on a Sunday. Once an adult buys a main course children under 14 years of age can get a free dinner and desert. Lovely staff and atmosphere too, highly recommend.

I live locally and I couldn't wish for a finer local pub and restaurant. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the food is fantastic There is a great diverse menu on offer, with something for everyone. We have had the steak cooked on the hot rocks that both looks and tastes great. They have a great incentive for families, with kids eating free with a paying adult. I am yet to be disappointed by the food in the dew drop.

This place is ok, nothing special. I was quite disappointed in fact considering some of the other reviews... We had to wait five minutes to be seated even though the place was practically empty. The food was fine - I had soup and beef - nothing special but definitely not the worst. It's fine if you're in a hurry and stuck for somewhere to eat but there are some other places nearby that I'd much prefer...

Absolutely delicious! Came here for a horse show in Kill and saw this place advertised. We got the bangers and mash and tea, so nice! HUGE portions! We could barely finish our plates! And the atmosphere was lovely! Felt like I was in a ski lodge or something it was so comfy with the fire going! If I'm ever back in Kill I will definitely come back! Only complaint would be it took about 20 minutes for the food to come out from when we ordered, so make sure you have the time to wait that long to enjoy your meal, not sure how long it takes for food to come out in general but judging from my experience since it wasn't that busy, this may not be the place for a quick bite of food.

Having read the glowing reports about the new look Dew Drop I decided to "drop in" a while ago. Fair play to the owners; they have shed the old image in terms of the decor and menu that the place used to be lumbered with. However, at the risk of sounding like a snob, there remained a few of the old guard of locals who saw it as their mission to try and recreate the atmosphere of a frontier era Gin Palace. I was eating with my wife and kids and the atmosphere just wasn't what I had expected.

had dinner there, moved table once, because of a horrific draught, was told it was coming thrugh the vent. was just as bad when we moved. terrible noisy and the speakers didnt help either. service was slow, but food very good. didnt make any difference when i informed the manager, barman pretended not to know about the draught.

Three words. Hot. Rock. Steak. Try it, you will not regret it! I've never had a steak like it. Add friendly, efficient service and a relaxed atmosphere and it made for a very enjoyable sunday afternoon, worth repeating.

What a delightful change the Dew Drop is from the now compulsory "Carvery". We went there on Sunday for Father's Day. There's a varied choice of starters but we went straight for the main courses. One of our party wanted an adult's portion of the kids pasta meal and it was absolutely no problem at all for them. It was also delicious. When a restaurant can be this accommodating, I believe it's because the food is freshly prepared and this get top marks from me. We also had the turkey and beef main courses. Both these came with veg served on seperate dishes and all were piping hot. The portions aren't huge - it's quality over quantity thankfully. I couldn't resist the sticky toffee pudding. It was warm & squidgy & heavenly. The presentation was faultless with a scoop of ice cream in a wafer basket & a tease of fresh cream garnished with a strawberry. We also had the warm apple pie & custard - served in sauce boat. Although it was busy we didn't feel rushed at all. The staff here deserve a special mention. They're attentive & friendly even when their patience is severely tested. The Dew Drop was a very pleasant surprise and definitely worth a visit.

On arrival to the DewDrop i was greeted by an open fire. On such a cold day it was exactly what i was looking for. It was not how i remembered. There has been some amazing refurbishments done here and the food and service was as good as i have got anywhere. I ordered the pan-fried Seabass with wild mushroom rissotto and it was delicious. This was a special on the day. The dessert menu looked very appetising but i had plenty. As i live in the area i will definitely be coming back and most certainly recommending it. The Chunk

I live locally and had not tried the restaraunt since it had reopened. Fancied a bit of food one Sunday so gave it a try. It is laid out lovely and the staff are very friendly. The menu was nice and simple but something for everyone on it. I went with the stroganoff. The food was piping hot,it was lovely. I was really impressed as I am not a fan of eating out on a Sunday -with the usual bland carvery meals handed out everywhere. This was a very enjoyable meal and I would definitely go back for more!

Heard This pub had a face lift. So was on some business in Naas and decided to give it a try and have to say it was brill. Staff couldnt do enough for us. The kids meals were very well presented. The open fire was well recieved on a bitter cold day (we sat right in front of it). Menu very well priced. The only fault i could find was a small choice for my vegetarian wife. Other than that it was top class. Well worth a visit.

The Dew Drop is a good homely venue, the food is of a decent quality and good quantity. The homemade burger is good value with choice of onions, mushrooms or fried egg, comes with Chips and side salad, all for 12.95. Kids meals are usual fare Nuggets or sausages and chips. Why do restaurants not add Fish Fingers? Kids get a mini drink and some ice cream for 5.95. Nice place for a quick and easy meal, good surroundings warm and friendly staff. Under new Management but I believe chefs are same.

This place has recently changed owners. Under the last regieme the food may not have won any Michelin stars but it was nonetheless quite good value. What the food lacked in finesse it generally made up for in quantity. I was here yesterday and if anything the standard has slipped. So too have the portion sizes. However, the prices have more than compensated by going through the roof. Pretty poor show.

I've eaten in the Dew Drop quite often for the past 4 years and always find the quality of food very good and the service at lunchtime during the week very quick. It is a very popular spot even though you 're in a pub but I do recommend it for their great variety in their menu as well.

Went for Sunday lunch here with the family. Very busy. Food was nice when it eventually arrived. The staff were very friendly but service very poor. For Pub Grub, it took 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. 40 mins to get mains and 20 mins for coffee. They had also ran out of hot water for tea. A bit cramped but nice atmosphere. Would skip it for Sunday Lunch
