Dublin's hottest, hip and much talked about restaurant Fire on Dawson is comfortable 200 seat eclectic restaurant, a food lover's haven situated to the left of the Lord Mayor's Residence in the heart of Dublins' city centre. Offering a modern European menu with a twist, Fire on Dawson offers something mouth-watering to suit every taste. The tantalising lunch menu is available Thursday to Saturday, whilst the pre theatre menu runs 6 days a week. The a la carte menu is also available from 5.30pm Monday - Wednesday, or from 5pm Thursday to Saturday. With its stylish interior & new refurbished heated terrace, Fire provides a unique setting for a memorable dining experience. An absolute must to anyone visiting Dublin. In light of the 4.5% VAT reduction on restaurant food, Fire is delighted to have passed on a 5% saving on every dish to all our customers. Effective from the 1st July 2011.

I had dinner in Fire with my Mam on a Saturday Night at 10pm. I had always wanted to try this Restaurant however I had heard a lot of mixed reviews on it so was not sure what to expect. We had the 10pm sitting as I booked at last minute on the way into town at 8pm. When we entered the Restaurant we were greeted immediately and brought to our table, the restaurant is larger than I had expected but has a great atmosphere and is well laid out. We sat near the top of the room as you enter the door where the fire oven is which looks great. We were served complementary warm garlic & brown bread which was really nice as we were very hungry. We ordered a bottle of Brut costing circa €36.00 which was extremely nice. My Mam had the Fire Wood Tiger Prawns and said they were absolutely delicious. I’m a very fussy eater and went for the pork wrapped in bacon which was served with mash, beans and gravy it was delicious! I did not have a starter or desert as it was quite late to be eating for me. I would strongly recommend this restaurant the staff are very polite, efficient with excellent service for such a large restaurant. The atmosphere is great with the tables well spaced so your not too close to the person beside you. I will definitely go back to Fire!

My husband and myself decided to try Fire after an afternoon of shopping. We ordered from the pre-theatre menu which is very good value for money. For starters, my husband had the anitpasti which was very nice and I had the goats cheese which I couldn't fault. For mains, he had the lemon sole and I had the herbed cod. Both dishes were presented very well and tasted as good as they looked. We didn't have desserts as we were both full. The service throughout was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and we didn't have to refill our glasses once ourselves. I would thoroughly recommend Fire and I shall be returning to try some more of their delicious food.

The food is good, along with the atmosphere. However, the service could be slightly improved in some aspects.
