Food has become very bad (carvery) meat is very fatty and also have risen their prices. Cost us nearly e50 for 2 adults and 1 child portion and a baby bowl (with minerals)

Had lunch here on saturday with my sister. She had the vegetable soup and was pleasantly surprised that it was actually homemade. It came with two thick slices of seeded brown bread. I had a roast pork sandwich with stuffing. The pork was tasty and not dried up the way carvery meat often is. We saw people eating dinner portions of food and the plates were loaded with food. It is what it is pub grub food but decent and generous amounts of it. The lady who brought our food to the table was very nice as well. Overall it seems like good value.

I used to lunch in the Goblet quite a lot but have virtually stopped recently due to the portions. They took on a new chief a few months back & the portions he dishes out are a disgrace, he has no problem leaving gaps on your plate and ignores you when you ask for plenty of something. The chips have also changed to those straw fries form real chips!! It used to be a great spot and I just hope they wake up and start giving there customers better value! The quality of the food is very good and the bar staff are great but sort the portions & I'll be back!!
