we had a very nice meal here! It's plain, homey type of food. The steak was one of the nicest i've ever eaten - juicy and flavousome. I thought the accompanying onions etc were greasy though. it was fantastic value for money and service was excellent. I wish they still had boiled potatoes as an option 'cos they were the best potatoes ever but now it seems to be only mash or chips! Pity...so many restaurants serve only small watery ones but here they used to be fab!!

TERRIBLE! I have had the unfortunate experience of dining in Kate Browne's for three different occassions. It gets worse every time. The crab claws are served with mashed potato (cold), carrots & cabbage ???? They obvioulsy had been cooked hours previously and were tasteless. Pretty awful for e22.99! The 'hambuger' bun had butter on it!!! Yes, butter on it....as did the steak sandwich (which was probably the size a large rasher and and was very poor quality and fatty). Both were e12.99. When I asked where was my salad that came with the hamburger, the waitress informed me that the salad was on my burger -the half a lettice leaf & one slice of tomato. There is only an all day menu - no lunch / dinner menu. A truly disastrous meal where they obvioulsy just serve up any thing at all. Highly priced for very poor quality and unfresh food. Don't waste your time or money.

went here for sunday lunch. was exactly what you would expect from a pub. food was ok decent value. ordered mainly from value menu they had on that day 3 courses 22 euro. room ok and nothing wrong with service. would return

This was our second time eating at Kate Browne's, and both times it has been fantastic. The service was fast and friendly. Our server even brought a taste of the lamb curry to a member of our party, so she could determine if it was too spicy, which it wasn't. It was delightful as was everything else we ordered. We especially recommend the burger. I don't know how they did it, but that was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten, and it was also HUGE.
