The West End House is located just next to the Cathedral - peaceful and serine. The building itself look dated and suits The restaurants catch phrase - Old Traditions new. We had a group of 8 and sampled all things on the menu - an extensive menu may I add - You cannot imagine how well this food is prepared and presented - nearly too good to eat. Everything starts from basics - home made breads, wild trouts, local meats and home made desserts. Even the coffee at the end came with home made cookies and white chocolate. The surrounding are like something from times past, but service is sharp, friendly, humorous and Irish. The owner was full of information and made our evening even more enjoyable. We finished the evening by the open fire, sipping pints of guinness and chatting till late. A must for all visitors to Killarney - definitely the best meal of our holiday and the best value.

I recently had a family occasion and we all ate at the West End House. It was fabulous. The service, the food, the atmosphere and the attention to detail. Top quality. I recommend it.

Best meal i have had all year. This place is stunning a five minute walk from main street. For new years eve there was a set menu with a great choice including vegetarian options. the wine was brilliant value starting at 14euro a bottle. The staff were friendly and service excellent.

The food was absolutely delicious. The environment was extremely comfortable and the service was superb. It was a lovely night and I personally consider it to be one of my top restaurants in all of the British Isles. This place has a kind and peaceful resemblance to the owners well known son. Just amazing and extraordinary to eat here. I plan on coming back on my next visit. :)

This restaurant is lovely. It is set in a period house and there are several rooms, most with dining tables but also a really lovely sitting room/ library. The welcome is warm and the food is good. We were a large party and were given a private dining room. Our party ordered from the a la carte menu and selected varied meat and fish dishes. All were good and the selection of side vegetables was particularly interesting. Desserts were very good. Service was superb throughout the meal and we relaxed for a long time afterwards over coffee and drinks. The kind of place you find hard to leave. It is pricey but good for a treat.

I cannot fault a thing about this restaurant. I was there on the 12th Feb with my family. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel so welcome. There was a set menu being valentines weekend but there was incredible choice with 5 starters and 5 mains to choose from. Also a fabulous little sharing platter for dessert. The wine list was reasonably priced with a lot of variety. We were booked on the first sitting and to relax in the louge area afterwards was lovely rather then being rushed out. I will definitely go back, without a doubt my favourite restaurant in Killarney!

This resturant is just unique. One would not notice it as it is quite cute, but picturesque. I visited with my mother when I was young and their homemade chips (of couse thats what i noticed as a kid), homemade sauces, desserts just pure perfection. As I am much older i visited again, i must say there passion is in their food, i cannot praise this little beautiful resturant enough, and I guarantee you, your tummy and one's mood will be enlighten.
