Was a fan of toasted sandwiches in Murphys years ago but havent been back in a while so was looking forward to my visit, along with a recommendation from a friend. Must say that I was disappointed. Ordered the lasagne, thought it was a bit expensive. It was edible- The cheese was nice but the mince wasnt very fresh, very disappointing. A friend ordered the special- Chicken and ham. Another disappointing dish as there was not much ham, and the little bit of ham that was there looked like it was the shop bought sliced sandwich ham. Again, another overpriced dish. All in all, a very disappointing experience from a place that I used to like. Theres too many finer places in Killarney to revisit this place

Ate here with my family, having been recommended by a very nice shop owner in the town. The pub was very crowded when we arrived which was a good sign but we were lucky to get a table just minutes after. The menu is very extensive catering for meat and fish eaters, with a very impressive seafood platter on offer for just 28 euro!!! We ordered a beef lasagne for my husband, prawn salad for me and a kiddes portion of sausages & chips. Al the meals arrived, very nice my sald had about a pound of prawns on it, lovely. All the food was really nice, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere buzzing. I did consider at 6 euro the kiddies portion of sausage and chips very expensive. Will definately go back though. Great menu!

Working in Killarney at a conference. Murphys was near our hotel and we decided to give it a try. We both had steak and it was cooked just the way we wanted it. Even though it was a quiet time of the year, there was a goog friendly atmosphere in the pub. Check out Murphy's anytime you are in Killarney
