Mac's Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlour 4.5 star review: Popped in here after a days shopping just for coffee and dessert. All changed since I was last here, the whole self service thing is gone and it's now a restaurant, which I didn't know when going in for coffee. But considering it was the bank holiday weekend and all, they were totally okay with us just wanting dessert. But they were a bit slow serving us. It is a place local people go, which is always a positive!!

I've heard reports that the staff are briefed on events, such as the Rose of Tralee, happening throughout Munster so that they can advise tourists knowledgeably on where to go and what to do during their stay.

The atmosphere is terrific and the food is top notch - the ice cream is to die for.

Mac's Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlour 4.0 star review: This was my first time at this restaurant and I really liked it. I like the idea that you can go in for Dinner, Lunch or just an Ice-Cream. I had a lovely stirfry while my husband had the burger. The place was packed and we did have to wait a while for our table but it was worth it.

Mac's Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlour 4.0 star review: For lunchtime, I've been here many times. I've never eaten dinner here. I have also dropped in for icecream. There are 2 main icecream places in Killarney, and they are opposite each other on the same street. I'm sure this leads to a friendly rivalry! I would be hard pushed to say which is my favourite. For simplicity, I think I like this place the most. For no other reason than you can also eat here if you wish (the food is not bad either), and their hot fudge sauce is a better offering than across the road. I will review the other place too and give my opinion on what's best there so it's balanced!
