Ended up in the Bloody Stream last night. Its about the 5th time Ive eaten there and was a little disappointing this time. If I take it in sections...atmosphere...there is often live music on from 8pm on a Sunday and depending on who it is you can love or hate it being piped through the bar. Last night's musicians were awful. Food...I always tend to order the same thing as overall the menu is not that exciting. It caters for most tastes but a bit more seafood would be appreciated. We shared calamari which came with a very nicely dressed salad. The calamari was beutiful and tender. We both agreed however that the large size option at 11.95 was not as generous as we would have hoped. We had already ordered our mains of Grilled Seabass and Smoked Cod and Hand cut chips..but it was only after we had finished our starter that the waiter informed me that there was only one filet of seabass left and they usually serve two...so I could have it at half price or order something else! I decided to order the Grilled Sea trout as I was still feeling peckish and wanted a whole main course. The mains took a little while to arrive but we werent in a hurry. The sea trout was fine, simply grilled, nice and tender and served with the same dressed salad and baby boiled potatoes. I had asked the waitress earlier if mine came with veg and she said yes but in fact I was then told they were extra so I didnt bother. He was very happy with his fish and chips. Finally he ordered the apple crumble dessert which is nicely served in a glass jar with a lid. He has had it before and its lovely. But this time it arrived and it was cold. We were kind of fed up by now so just asked for the bill. He did tell the waitress about the cold dessert and in fairness she rushed off to get the price of the dessert back and handed him his money back. But we left feeling, we would be back if we were stuck...which we were last night!

Got the offer for 10oz sirloin with homemade chips, onion rings and peppercorn sauce. All for €10 and a bottle of house wine for €10. It was cooked to perfection and delicious. I wont be cooking steak at home again with prices like this. Planning to return again this week :)
