The Cottage is well located and has a nice bubbly atmosphere. However, the service wasn't great, it was a busy night and they seemed to be understaffed. We waited over an hour to even get a drink without even an apology for the lateness. While the food was nice and tasty the portions were measly and everything was over priced. The desserts sounded nice and I ordered the Baileys bread and butter pudding for €5.50, I got a small slice of 'pudding' which was fine but didn't even vaguely taste like baileys. Over-all it was a disappointment.

Have eaten here a couple of times and always enjoyed it.It's irish style tapas in a nice pub. Ate with a group of four on a saturday night and it was quite busy with good atmosphere. We ordered spicy chorizo, lamb tagine, buttermilk chicken, bread and dips, all v good and tasty, while the prawn skewers were overdone and bland, usually much nicer and the goats cheese crostini was v nice thought the portion was much meaner than it used to be-just 3 pieces-and the carmelised onions were on the side which is not the same. We had some beers and €5 mojitos which were v good though some were stronger than others! The service was polite but not attentive enough and our waitress made some mistakes-bought a cocktail that wasn't ordered but let us keep it for free which was appreciated. However had to ask three times for a glass of water before I got one and the dinner was nearly finished at that stage. Overall would go back but they need to make sure not to scrimpt on some of the items as it's not that cheap. Seating anc also be a bit uncomfortable as you are leaning forward to eat.

Ate here with a friend and was very pleased. My friend lives in Spain and it was her choice of venue. Either I'm losing it or the menu we ate from was far more comprehensive than the menu posted on menupages.ie. I had a lovely platter and we shared potatas bravas and vegetable tapas - and it was all very good. There is and excellent range of wine sold by the glass - we were happy with both our choices. The interior is basic but I really recommend this place.

Stopped for a bite with the kids on the way home. The place was not busy, but the staff seemed under pressure. The food was better than expected, especially the chicken goujons the kids had. It would be a good spot for a night out without them though. Good value for money too.

The Cottage is a great all-rounder pub, the perfect mixture of great food, lots of different beers and a nice cosy atmosphere. They have a beer garden out the back for the smokers or for lunch on a sunny afternoon. The Thai Noodle Salad is really fab, as well as the meatballs. Go with some friends, order lots of different things and some nice beer. Voila, great night out!

The menu and prices on the site are slightly out of date now (6.50 - 8.00 Euro for small dishes and 12.00 for large ones), but the Cottage is a great place to go for a quick bite before going out or even make it the night out!
