Can't recommend the food at this Italian restaurant enough! It is run by an Italian family who specialise in quality Italian food. The menu is wide ranging and includes antipasti, starters,, pasta, steaks, and chefs specials including cajun chicken. I had the funghi bruschetta which was delicious, its like a small pizza topped with a cream and mushroom sauce. My friend tried the chicken with a broccoli pesto cream sauce which was so nice and the sauce was very tasty with a hint of chilli. We shared a bottle of red wine, would really recommend number 237 in case you can't decide!! The service was a little slow because it was race week and that was to be expected but just go for the food it is definitely worth it and not over priced for the quality you get.

This is a smaller restaurant attached to Da Robertas in Salthill run by the same family. It is quieter and more romantic than its next door neighbour. The food is amazing and the service impeccible. Even on the coldest winter nights, this place is cozy.

This restaurant is a proper italian authentic place with great homemade food. The selection is huge to choose from. The platters of antipasto are great for starters to share along with garlic bread. Then there is lots of pasta dishes, I like the bolongese because the sauce is very rich. It is usually busy at the weekends because it is small enough compared to its sister restaurant next door.

We ate at this restaurant on the Saturday night of our weekend break. Food is fab, service was excellent. Wine selection is great, a lot to choose from. Overall we were very happy. We ate at their other restaurant on the Friday night. This is more for couples and the other for families with children. Menus are different in both restaurant. The lady owner has excellent customer service. Very busy restaurant, would advise to book in advance.

I love this place and ive had the same main course the last two times ive been here. We arrived early just after opening. We had a lovely seat by the window. The only thing i dont like about this restaurant is that its a bit narrow and the tables are on top of each other but there is little they can do about it. I had the parma ham and ricotta cheese starter at 8 euro. This was really yum and came with some rocket and dressing. He had crostini and it was almost a main course the portion was so big. For mains we both had stuffed pasta. I had the pasta stuffed with mushrooms and in a parmesan and pancetta sauce. this was gorgeous. the nicest stuffed pasta i have ever had. but be warned its very rich. He had the spinach and ricotta stuffed pasta with a sauce. that was very nice too, but i preferred mine! We were nicely full then and couldnt have managed desert so we had coffee, an espresso for him and a cappucino for me which were well made. Ill be back as soon as i can!

Nice italian food at reasonable prices in quaint surroundings with friendly service. Do not confuse it with it's larger sister restaurant two doors away. The smaller "L'Osteria" offers a much more intricate menu while the larger "Da Roberto's" is more standard italian fare with a large choice of pizza's etc. Overall a plesant dining experience.

I was in Galway over New Year's last year and loved this little pizzeria so had to go back this year, only to find it has been transformed into a lovely big bustling restaurant! And the food was even better than last year! There were 8 at our table and we experienced great service, and we didn't feel rushed out the door or anything. We all had a variety of brushettas and garlic breads to start which were lovely. I can't remember what my main course was called but it was penne with chicken and mushrooms in a pesto cream sauce, and was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had!! Everyone else raved about their meals too. We had icecreams and chocolate fondants for dessert and literally had to be rolled out afterwards!! Overall a fantastic restaurant and I will definitely be back next time I'm in Galway.

I ate here on Sunday with my boyfriend and will never go back. The service was terrible. We waited an hour for our main course. The food was awful. I am a vegetarian and there was a big lump of meat in my main course. They were not overally apologetic when I complained. All they said was that the chef must have let it fall in by mistake. I felt like they were doing me a favour by not charging me for my main but I would not have paid for it anyway. I would recommend staying away from this restaurant. The food was bad and the attitude worse.

Ate there last Saturday night with my family, 5 of us in total so got to try a number of dishes. Crostini are delicious, as are mushrooms to start. I had steak with cajun spices and while sauce was fairly creamy it was delicious. My son wanted to mix and match sea food from different dishes and this was no problem. Wine selection is outstanding, something for every budget. Staff very friendly, and while there was a large hen party of over 20 people we did not experience any delays. Only disappointment is that I live in Dublin and won't be able to eat here again soon!

Lovely restaurant, very comfortable atmosphere, great food. Myself and five friends arrived without a reservation but were immediately greeted by a waiter and looked after. Service was a little slow at times but the food was well worth it. Sauces can be a little heavy and creamy but the flavours are balanced and blended very well. Quite a good menu, some dishes are a little steep. Starters can be quite generous in size and the desserts are lovely also. Very nice staff.

Have eaten here a few times usually when Da Roberta Pizzaria was over full. However the experience is always good. More authentic Italian cuisine than their sister restaurant which is pizza and pasta affair. Worth a visit.

Had a lovely evening here on a Saturday night - the place was packed, a very varied crowd. Food was good, but particularly enjoyed the atmosphere; even though tables are very close together, there's a great buzz. Staff are lovely too, very Italian! well worth a visit and remember to book
