The Oranmore Lodge is a quirky family run hotel, which comes across slightly rubbed and dated but it is clean, friendly and well appointed. The Hunt room fits with this theme. It's like sitting in someone's granny's dining room but you could feel that every one in the room was relaxed and people smiled at each other which I have very rarely seen in a restaurant. The décor is very old fashioned and even haphazard but that is part of the charm. The waiting staff were wonderful, chatty, friendly and very attentive with out being in the way. And the food is excellent. We had one fish dish a couple chicken dishs, a vegetarian and a couple steak dishes. the steaks were cook exactly to order and all were very happy with their mains. The actual surrounds may not be to everybody's taste but for us it was an excellent night.
