Terenure has had some really nice little cafes open up over the last few years but this one has become my new favourite. I went to the Lovely Food Co yesterday for lunch with my mother and really enjoyed it. I had the special that day which was a Cajun chicken breast with roast vegetable cous cous and salad. It was really fresh and tasty (in particular the fantastic little semi sun dried cherry tomatoes. Wish I knew where I could buy some!) They have a huge selection of delicious looking cakes on display too which I plan on heading back soon to sample. I also have to compliment their staff who were friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit.

Have been to The Lovely Food Co. a few times now and it never disappoints. This visit was for lunch on a Thursday. My wife and I arrived at around 2pm and the place was still buzzing. It's a small restaurant with about 24 seats but thats one of the best aspects of this place. I ordered the lunch special which was chicken arrabiatta and my wife had a tuna melt on a rustic roll. Both were delicious, as the food there always is. We both had coffee after and shared a warm chocolate brownie with ice cream. The staff are always very friendly and attentive and make you feel very welcome. We have been for the dinner in the evening too and the food is of the highest quality. They are also in the process of building an outdoor heated area to the back of the restaurant which will simply enhance this already excellent gem of a place. We will be regular visitors to the Lovely Food Co., In fact were going again for lunch tomorrow!!

I ate here with a friend last night after she had read an excellent review. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere and welcome were warm and friendly on a miserably wet Tuesday night. Having planned to only have a main course and glass of wine we opted the special offer of 3 courses plus tea/coffee and a bottle of house wine for €50 for 2 as it was such excellent value and a good chance to check out the food. The food and service were great throughout our meal. Particular highlights were the duck and hake main courses and the piping hot tea to end the meal. I will definitely be back for dinner again and look forward to trying brunch also. This is an excellent addition to the area and if future visits are like last night could become a local favourite.
