The Golden Dragon is mainly take out. But ... read on ... I often stop by here pick up food. The food is always good & staff are always very friendly. It's also good value for money. Love the salt chilli prawns, hot soups, thai curries & noodles. Extra chilli!! Now I shouldn't give this little secret away but ... there's a little restaurant area off to the left. Not hugely atmospheric (actually none whatsoever) but tables & chairs. Basic. But get this ... eat in is SAME PRICE as takeaway. Can't go wrong. So we go there to eat with the kids regularly (get them used to different foods & flavours). Staff always fuss over them and they love it there. Cheap family evening out with eats & beer. Usually 2 beers, 1 starter, 1 soup, 3 mains, 7up & fries - about €40-45. And don't forget the After 8s. Great place to stopover if on a car journey to/from Clifden. Have often recommended it to friends.
