One statement says it all for me... Avoid at all costs. As I actually live in the local vicinity of the Hotel, I would tend to drop in for a couple of drinks at the weekend. On a couple of occasions, I have ordered something to eat here. Once I got the curry, sadly to say there was no taste and it was very watery. And recently I ordered something as simple as Garlic and Cheese fries. 3 times the waiter had to ask me what I wanted on the fries, and 3 times I responded. When they finally came out, 30 minutes later, there was no cheese on it!!! My partner also got a toasted sandwich costing €4.95 - in comparison to other restaurants they normally give you a bit of salad on the side, well there was salad alright but it was one leaf of something with a half attempt at putting some type of dressing over it but nothing could mask the fact that the salad was withered. It's pricey for what you actually get, and as they get a large crowd for matches and the likes, there is no proper menu catering for this customer type. Overall disappointing

service and entertainment is great here... Staff are very friendly. Selection of food wouldn't be very extensive but good for a bar menu. They do a good value lunch deal 2 course for €10 midweek!

We came in here one evening around 9.30. We were staying in the hotel so rather than rushing out to the town where the restaurants mightn't take people after 10, we thought this would be a safe bet. The waitress sulkily told us it was very late but eventually let us have a table. We raced through our main course - the only course we felt we could have ( I had an overcooked pasta dish) and even decided to finish the wine in our room, as we were so embarrassed to have the staff possibly staying on late for us. We hurried an paid up but we saw there were still people at a couple of tables who looked in no rush to go anywhere. I felt very uncomfortable here as the waitress was obviously annoyed with us. Wouldn't go back, the food wasn't worth the icy atmosphere.

Stayed at Claybaun Hotel recently and decided to give this place a try. It was a pleasant experience indeed. The decor was simple and contemporary. There is a great selection of food ranging from pasta, pizza, salad, seafood & grills(mainly beef). Find the menu very interesting compared to others of similar standard. For starter I had the mussels, my friend had the Thai Dim Sum. The mains were also nicely presented and quite generous with the portions. Since it's a bit far out from the city, wouldn't purposely come out here but will drop by if passing by again.
