I have to concur with all the other reviewers, I am from Galway and if i were a visitor i would highly reccomend this spot. Now i cannot vouch for their accomadation as i have my own bed, but i can honestly say the warmth and lux dining area is a must, the food is simple but it is fresh, appetising and great value for money, so far i have never had a bad eating experience.
The ambiance is welcoming, and the staff execute their roles to a high level of service.
I highly reccomend the Spanish Arch, and i think it gives most restaurants on busy Quay st, a run for their money.

As my husband and I eat out regularly in town, we have become very familiar with establishments that are all too quick to rip off their customers. I am pleased to say that the Spanish Arch Hotel is definitely not one of them. We had passed the hotel on many occasions and decided recently to try out their menu as it looked very reasonably priced - a little too good we thought. My husband had the club sandwich at 4.95 and I had the beed noodles at 8.95. We were bot extremely pleased with what we got, the food was absolutely delicious! We have returned many times since and we are absolutely hooked on their club sandwiches as they are really filling and huge for a fiver. We would recommend it to anyone looking for both hot food or a light snack. They definitely put their close competitors to shame.

We ate here in the bar in the evening time. We order starters and main course. The food was lovely, BUT, our starter came with our main couse, at he same time! I called the waitress back as I couldn't face eating one and looking at the other going cold. I called the waitress back and asked if she could take the main back until we were ready or even re make it as I'm a slow eater and figured it would be about 30mins before I would be ready. She wasn't too keen so I aked if they normally bring the 2 together and she told me I hadn't specified!! Anyway, the mains were taken back and they were made fresh for us again. We had wings for starter and burgers for main, the food was good.

Had lunch here on a Thursday afternoon....not very busy but we were hungry so our orders were taken right away which was great....We had chicken wings, burger and the steak pitta...everything was absolutely gorgeous esp the proper real chips which is fantastic to see..a place like this which puts an effort in is a true gem..couldn't fault a thing will definitely be back again.
