Fantastic food and great value for money (especially the Early Bird menu) in the best location. Service was friendly and polite and the decor authentic; and if you get a window seat the view of the Corrib isn't bad either!! One of my favourites in Galway

I have been here many times a few years ago and i got sick of it so this is my first time here in 3 years and i have to say i forgot how nice it was, I had the thai red curry for my main which was delicious and everyone in my party really enjoyed their meal... I have been back twice since and am planning to back very soon.

We had a lovely meal here last friday evening. I had the chicken Pad Thai which was lovely and my mom ordered from the early bird menu which is really good value. I think they do give you smaller portions if ordering from the early bird menu but that's fine because you wouldn't be able to eat full size portions. If you are not ordering from the early bird menu I would rate the value as average as some dishes are in the high teens and that's before you order rice/noodles. We went for the recommended wine of the week and it was lovely. The waiting staff are nearly too eager to serve you as they come over to your table a little more than is usual but I think that is just the way they are... The staff are so nice in saying that! I love chicken pad thai and I was really happy with my choice, it's always good in there! I'm never disappointed with a meal in Thai Garden, not that I go there often but it is lovely..

A friend of mine wanted to eat here 6 years ago and I can tell you it took some persuasion to get me in here. However I'm a regular in the true sense since then. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere even better. You actually feel like you're on holidays when you enter as the staff dress in beautiful clothing and greet you with a bow. This is not your typical Asian restaurant - it's simply indescribeable. You must eat here to experience the fit of giggles you get after the spicy mains and the pomp and splendour with which they serve gluai tod with sambuca (a dessert speciality). I can't say anything more - if you are reading reviews right now trying to decide where to eat - trust me this is the place. You can easily get a 3 course dinner with Jasmine tea for 2 and some wine for €70. Try the chicken in green curry with fried noodles. The delf is patterned and looks great. You will think the food is not enough to fill you but you'd be wrong. Just go here. Also - my parents (who think spices are salt and pepper) were easily converted and my dad now always wants to eat here now. They will ask you if you want the food mild medium or spicy. I'm a mild medium girl and it's hot enough. But just say if you don't want it spicy.

Went for my boyfriends 30th with another couple, had a great meal, we all got the starter sharing plate to start, so tried everything, all very nice. I had the pad thai which was delicious, and they even brough out icecream with a candle and started singing happy birthday for us. We had a very enjoyable evening. 50 euro each with wine and tip, which was good value as we went a la carte.

Perhaps the most impressive thing about this restaurant is the staff. They are polite, helpful, friendly and give the impression that they will go to any lengths to improve your visit. The service is quick and attentive without the staff being overbearing. The food was delicious but even though I chose a medium spiced dish I did find it quite mild. The restaurant is conveniently located in the city centre, which is a bonus. The one thing which annoyed me was the fuss made by the restaurant for diners celebrating their birthdays. It was loud, intrusive and took away from the overall experience for me.

Arrived here without reservation and was seated immediately even though they were quiet busy. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Started with "Ruamchoi Thai Garden " which was a lovely selection of starters. I continued with "Gang Pa-Nang Goong" Tiger prawns cooked in a spicy red curry and my other half had "Gai Lao Dang" Sliced chicken breast marinated in thai spices Both were delicious. If you are looking for Thai food in Galway look no further than the Thai Garden

Went here in a group of four for an early dinner on a Saturday evening and we were the only people in the restaurant, which surprised me. As per every visit here the food was delicious and the service excellent. I had the ribs for starter which were lovely and sticky and falling off the bone. My fellow diners had spring rolls and soups which were also suberb. This was followed by a prawn red curry in my case, which was beautifully flavoured and nicely spiced. Everyone else was similarly happy with their choice. I have been here several times and love going back as it never disappoints.

Beautiful place. Best Thai food i have tasted in ireland. Crackers are always too less, they can give few more of them if thats alrite. Start i had Tom Kha Kai Soup and in mains i had Green Curry and i requested it to be spicy and it was 5 star spicy. Fantastic food and reasonable value. Restaurant looks very thai.....

I was in Galway on Sunday evening and a friend recommended the Thai Garden. I must say it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The only criticism is that the rice came in very large silver serving bowls which looked awful and took up lots of space on the table. In saying that the most impressive part of the meal was the staff. My mother has a fish allergy and the staff were so helpful and really went above the call of duty in making sure she ordered the right meal.

Reading these few reviews on the restaurant i was sure it would be a good spot to spend Saturday's evening with my girlfriend. Decor is fantastic, so is atmosphere...but the food, gosh ,that was awful. We were about to leave the place just after a first bite but eventualy we finished our wine picking at food and moved to elsewhere just after 30 minutes from placing order. Maybe it was just a bad luck but surely we will never eat at Thai Garden again.

Thai Garden in Dublin is my favourite restaurant, so when my boyfriend & I were in Galway recently we decided we had to try the one there! The outside of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, when I first saw it I thought it must be closed down! They really need a lick of paint on it because it's far from inviting. The inside is gorgeous though, real authentic and cosy. It was very quiet as it was a Wednesday night at the start of January. Service was excellent, very attentitive but not pushy. I had spare ribs to start and my bf had satay chicken. Both were delicious. We asked for a bit of a break before they brought us our main course as we wanted to enjoy our wine and that was fine with them. We both had Thai chicken curries, I had the red and he had the green. Along with the curry from their Dublin restaurant, it was the best Thai curry I've ever had. We had 3 courses each and 2 bottles of wine and the bill was only around €90, very reasonable. We felt a bit pushed to leave at the end as we were the last table and the staff were sitting around waiting to leave! But a great evening all the same. Would definitely recommend it to anyone, a real hidden gem in Galway.

While on a quick break in Galway I had asked to Galway Bay Hotel to recommend a Thai restaurant in town. They chose this place and when approaching in the taxi I was wary because the outside looks cheap and unkempt. Inside is nothing of the sort. Ushered to our table we were served with the very best of everything. Thai fans this one is a MUST! Two comments, the staff don't speak much English, but enough. Secondly they do go a bit over-board on the sauces. My duck was dripping with sauce though thankfully this did not seem to be an attempt to hide anything as it is in all too many cases.

We dropped in here on a weekend break in Galway and loved it. There's a great range of vegetarian dishes and a great selection of desserts too, you can see a lot of thought went into the menu. I had the Pad Thai, which was very tasty, washed down with a good bottle of wine. I will definitely go back here on my next visit to Galway.

I found this restaurant expensive for the quality of food provided! The service was good, very courteous, but sadly that's all it had going for it! The early bird might be a better deal, but we lost out by seconds on the early bird and honestly eating out before 7 on a Monday evening should be cheaper that the same of a busy night!

Ate here on Saturday night and was not overly impressed with the food. To start they ushered away a couple of students sitting down drinking outside the window of the restaurant (why not place frosted glass on the lower half of the window?). The starter of rolls were stale and doughey and a tad tasteless. The main course of battered fish in a sweet sour and salty sauce was supposed to be snapper but was probably cod (and a smoked version of it I detected with certain pieces). Never order fish on a Monday was the old tune but seems stand with my dish. I have to admit that the place was full when leaving but wonder if it was just a bad night for the chef(s), or whether non popular dishes are being thrown at customers who willingly accept. I would think twice about eating here again accepting that they do not put any MSG in their dishes.

Ate here the other night and had the chicken pad thai - it was fab - very fresh and tasted great. I was impressed also that all dishes could be served at mild, medium of hot spice levels.
