Managed to get a table on a busy Friday night at the last minute, the place was very busy indeed. For starters we shared chicken wings which were very nice. I had steak for main with a side of chips and salad. The meat was tender and cooked to my liking. I love my salad so was happy with the mixture of leaves and dressing produced. Mr. Mona had the duck on a bed of parsnip and mash, it was satisfactory but nothing amazing. For dessert we opted for a French and Irish coffee, both were dismal. There was an evident lack of liquer and the coffee was like dishwater. Our bottle of house wine also tasted of vinegar. The service was great but with not alot of change out of 100 bucks I won't be rushing back!

we popped in here on the offchance one Sunday evening. We got a lovely window table with comfy seats. the place wasn't very busy but it didn't feel like we were alone in a big restaurant either, it's laid out well. Service was good, adequate selection on wine and beer menu. Food was tasty with a good choice on the menu and overall good value. Turned out about €45 or so for two starters, two mains, a glass of wine and a beer.

Came here as part of the Friday feeling package with the girls.V nice hotel and great value for this package. Our menu was limited to the set early eve menu. i got the house pate to start v nice and flavoursome. Steak for the main course was ok,bit fatty/chewy type but the sauce was delicious. V nice wine selection too. Lovely cosy/buzzy atmosphere.

I just loved this restaurant. The atmosphere is great and the staff are so friendly and accomodating. The decor is modern and funky with low lighting. The bar area is small but comfortable. Great value to be had in the early bird specials with a free cocktail thrown in. We had sea food chowder and vegetable soup to start which were all cleared. We then had Ardrahan chicken and 6oz steaks for mains which were cooked perfectly. We didnt go for the deserts simply because we were too full. I would definately recommend the hotel and the restaurant and i will be returning there on my next visit to Galway.

A great find! We were passing by on the way to another restaurant and liked what we saw through the window. The place itself is lovely and there is a lovely relaxed atmosphere. It was very good value - the early bird is from 6 to 9 and was €19.95 for two courses and €24.95 for three. This includes a cocktail! The food was great, good portions and very tasty, especially the sirloin of beef. It was as good or better than any fillet I've ever had. The staff were very friendly and very efficient. Another plus - they do Prosecco by the glass, (a generous glass), for only €6.50. We really enjoyed the evening, Next time we are in Galway we will be back and we have already recommended to a number of others.

I love eating in this restaurant. The atmosphere is so relaxed and the staff are very friendly. The food is not amazing but it is very nice and good value for the price. I had a steak that was cooked perfectly and very tasty but the veg was a little bit of a let down. Saying that, I will be giving them a chance to change my mind about the veg as I will definately be back again.

This place has all the makings of a good restaurant, if they had the service to go with! The food was really good, but unfortunately half of the wine on the list was unavailable and they were out of some mains & desserts. For a bank holiday weekend and a restaurant that was fully booked, the staff should have been more informed and informative

We were staying in the House Hotel for the weekend. Having checked in after our drive from Dublin we decided to have a drink in the Parlour Bar before heading out to find a restaurant. We found the atmosphere so inviting and the staff so friendly we decided to check out the restaurant menu. It didn't take us long to decide to stay put and eat in the hotel. That was a great decision. There was a great buzz about the place and the service was excellent. Obviously the staff have been trained to a high standard yet without exception they were all very friendly. The food was very good and although my Hereford steak was slightly tough it was cooked to perfection. My partner has insisted that I mention the toilet facilities. The toilets were absolutely spotless and there were ample complementary supplies of deodorant, mouthwash, sanitary products etc. Overall we would highly recommend the Parlour Bar and Grill.
