I visited this restaurant with two friends on a Thursday afternoon around 3 pm for lunch. We actually thought the whole situation was a set-up and we were on a candid-camera program or something. The service we received was an absolute joke. When we arrived it took almost 15 minutes for the waiter to come over and see if we were ready to order. We had to ask for water. My starter and one of my friend's starters arrived fairly quickly. We had nearly finished our starters when our friend's food arrived, over ten minutes later. The waiter then brought out my friend's starter and main course ON THE SAME PLATE??!! It was so weird. We then had to struggle to catch the waiter's attention every time we needed something for the rest of the meal. A friend of the waiter's came in when we were nearly finshed our meal and the two of them sat down together and ate a meal of their own, which lasted at least 20 mins if not more. I have never experienced service as deplorable as this before and will undoubtedly never return to this restaurant.

Dined here while in Galway for a break, Monday night, we were only one of four tables occupied. The service was friendly and quick, opted for the house red which was really nice. Food was nice and main course was very generous.

ate here wth a friend of mine, we arriVed quite late about ten the restaurant was closed at 11. the food was nothing special. but the worst thing were the staff. they looked really annoyed we were there and were so unfrendly. they got increasingly annoyed when we asked for dessert which was some form of chocolate cake that didnt taste nice. when i asked for tea the waiter barely responded so i asked for a smile and he stlll didnt respond. to really push things to the limit the waitress started to get changed in a room behind the main reception but left the door slghtly ajar so she could be seen.then to top it all off about 5 members of staff just stood there sighing whilst staring at us!! no exaggeration terrible serVice...

Nice restaurant, reasonable atmosphere. Not great value for money. The lack of prawn crackers as an appetiser was noted.

called in ere for lunch yesterday as i was n galway. i ordered a green curry, my partner had a veg curry and my son spare ribs. i ordered a coke and it was brough to me in a can. we were the only diners and i know y now. i got my green curry and had to send it back straight away, no green curry paste and no coconut, when i said so to the waiter he said there was, i asked him to take it back and that i didnt want to order anyting else. what it tasted like was the chicken and sweet corn soup, without the chicken and sweet corn, the gel like look. never again, then to top it off, was charged 2euro for the can of coke.

Ate here while visiting Galway for the weekend. Loved it. The restaurant wasn't that busy so we were seated straight away and the staff was pleasant (The member of staffs baby was in the restaurant and cried a bit which wasn't a highlight) The food came out soon after it was ordered and it was fab. The nicest Chicken curry I ever had to be honest. Defo would go to this restaurant the next time I'm in Galway.

I visited this restaurant with friends earlier in the month on a Sat night. It wasn't too busy but still maintained a nice atmosphere. Decor is absolutely beautiful. Staff very helpful, polite and efficient, Vegetarian Spring rolls for starters were beautiful. Had Chicken Satay for mains, wasn't mad about it, Sauce didn't taste like Satay! Everyone else was quite pleased. Good wine and beer selection. When back in Galway will definitely revisit.

Ate here while visiting Galway for a weekend. It's a lovely restaurant.We were seated straight away. Food was delicious and portions were generous.Service was excellent. Staff were very friendly.

I've eaten here a few times and really enjoyed it. Food is really good and there is a really nice atmosphere. Ask for a table near the street side windows, great for people watching between courses. Staff are very attentive and friendly and service is prompt. Definetly worth a visit. I do recommend avoiding a Sat night as it can be packed with groups and large crowds of hen and stag parties which unfortunatly detracted from my last experience. That said I think its the best chinese in Galway city.

One of my favorite places to eat out, the portions are more than enough and you're usually seated right away - I've never been turned away at the door. The waiters are friendly, and while they pay attention to detail there is something "lacking". They also have a modestly priced winelist, unlike a lot of Galway places.

We went here on Sat while visiting Galway. We had read the reviews on here and were instantly turned off the place - that's why I feel I should post a comment. This restaurant is gorgeous. The decor is lovely, very cosy. The staff aren't overly smiley or overly fussy with placing napkins on your lap or filling your water each time you take a sip and I like that. Nothing worse than a waiter who checks up on you after every mouthful. We got the Yuk Sung as a starter - a nice portion.I got the beef chow mein which had a lot of flavour for a chow mein. My partner got chefs special- 3 delights(with chicken) and it was very tasty with plenty of eating in it. I would recommend here for anyone looking for a Chinese in Galway city. We didn't book and were seated straight away.

Went here on Saturday. Was left queuing for approx 20 mins, fair enough we had no reservations, but we were getting in the way and no drinks etc were offered or menus. Then when we did get a table, we were left there for half an hour nearly before they took our orders. No drinks taken or anything. Food came out pretty slowly too, and nobody thought to see if we were happy. Customer service is what it is all about!!!! Most likely wont be back!!

I ate here on Saturday night. The food was very good and it was great value for money. The service was not the best. We had a different server each time and it was a bit all over the place. Not once did any of the waiters even give us so much as a smile, and i noticed the same attitudes towards all customers. Would be an excellent restaurant other than that.

I've been here twice, and both times I've really enjoyed everything - I always taste other people's dishes too :) Good service, not too pricey and the food is plentiful and tasty.

Visited this Chinese over the weekend. Starter Salt Chilli Prawn which was spicy yet tasty, main course of the Thai Green Curry Beef Fillet, very nice main and for dessert I had what can best be described as a large mushroom shaped HB Feast. I washed the dinner down with a Tiger Beer. I loved my experience in Ming Garden and would return, maybe for a birthday as they catered two in the time I was there last Saturday. One tip would be a bit of background music as the chatter can be a tad much to sit through.
