Good size portions and many veggie options in this tiny restaurant which is very popular with students due to value for money. They offer many combos eg soup and sandwich or a drink with main courses. It is good wholesome food. Only downside is sometimes not that clean and you can see in behind the counter en route to TINY toilet beside kitchen....

Nice little spot for a quick lunch. Nothing fancy but its good wholesome food. Great value for portion size. One main with a side is plenty for 2 people looking for a light lunch.

Service was extremely slow-seemed as if there was only two people cooking and serving. Found the place very cramped Amount of food for price exceptional though.

I Have visited Home Plate loads of times now. The food is great. I always get the Veggie ciabatta with home fries.Its a delicious chunk of ciabatta stuffed with salads, and then a side of lovely fresh fries..Always satisfied and full after eating there. The staff are always lovely and the food is always consistent, Nice atmosphere, with a couch to if you wanna relax. Very reasonably priced too.. will return again and again.

What can I say?! If you ask anyone I know they all know I just love Home Plate! When I lived in Galway I was a regular. Staff are totally nice even when they're super busy. Every time I visit Galway now I make a point of going there. Whether for a yummy Thai Chicken Salad, Chicken Parmesan Ciabatta (with soup of course!) or the good ol' Full Irish after a night out! Never fails. Even back in the olden days when it was an organic restaurant it was fantastic. The true healthiness might have gone but the quality and great meals live on!

Great value! Have dropped in for lunch many times and also at Weekends - always a good crowd there and the food is lovely especially the philly steak with soup

Few months since I ate here, but it really is one of the best restaurants in Galway. Kind of earthier food than your average restaurant. Meals are always delicious..
