Good place to go if you just want a simple, quick, reasonably priced meal. it's often fairly quiet so can lack atmosphere. It's decent value considering that the portions are large. Even the half portions that are a couple of euro cheaper are enough for a meal. Not somewhere to go if you want anything amazing - the food is basic, but I've found it reliable. The menu has a wide range of fillings available.

Stopped by Couch Potatas for a quick lunch at the weekend. I was looking for somewhere that could cater for both a coeliac and a vegetarian and both were well taken care of here. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a school canteen and the food is fairly expensive considering that most of the dishes are basically just a baked potato, but the portions are generous and the food was fine. I wouldn't rush back unless the prices come down.

If you like spuds and want a big feed that's light on the pocket, this is the perfect spot. A huge selection of potatoes - 2 baked potatoes, served with massive side salad and topping of your choice - my favourits is sir walter raleigh or nora barnacle! A very popular student hangout. They also offer 1/2 portions for the less hungry client. Only drawback really is the tiny toilet available for customers and sometimes have to share a table if dining alone.

i think the variety of dishes available here is good, there is something for everyone (i went with 2 vegetarians a vegan and a wheat intolerant). but the food is a little dry, i had a pizza potato.was good value, the portions are massive.

The best quality of Coach Potatas is most definitely the value for money, which is fantastic. The portions are quite large and the cost is minimal. However, the food most certainly doesn't suit my taste as they're quite unhealthy, bland and studentish... Though I guess the restaurant doesn't boast anything to the contrary!

i think the food was quite good relative to what happened....., i got the baked spud with the tomato meaty dish, it was nice until we were half was through our meal and i chipped my tooth on a stone....it wasn't like a stone that would get stuck in the skin of a spud this was a stone from gravel that you would have in a garden or something it was as big as one of the keyboards keys im typing on!!! i was never asked if i wanted anything else and they were going to charge me for my meal!!! i want to give zero for service but it wont let me

This restaurant is excelent value and the service is quite good. The portions are very large, twice what you would expect, and the salad dressing is delicious. It's a great place for a speedy hot lunch, especially on a rainy day when comforting food is called for.

Great value for your money. Simple food made simply. Baked potato - available with every topping imaginable. Food is great - only downfall is the size of the restaurant. But that would hardly keep you away! Try it - you won't be disappointed!!!!!

This is one of my favorite spots in Galway; try to go when I am down there. It’s always really busy and everyone knows that’s a good sign. The service is great, and there is a topping for every type of taste. I love the Santa Maria, ideal for lunch if you’re in town shopping. Fast and hits the spot.

Love this place - so so nice. Lovely comfort food! Love the Garlic baked potato and the chicken salad with the baked potato, this place is always busy but you'll never have to wait too long for a table. I would highly recommend
