Nice little restaurant with lovely atmosphere and service. Very cheap but found that it was cheap for a reason the food quality - Nice presentation but not so nice taste unfortunately. Can really see the quality factor is lost with the cheap cost. Still if you're looking for cheap food it's great. Found the tea a little expensive though 2euro :/ ..

I visited Buon Appetito with three friends for the breakfast special-a Full-Irish for €5 including tea or coffee. The breakfast included rashers, sausages, black and white pudding, two fried eggs, baked beans, toasted white bread and brown soda bread. The meal was cooked nicely and you simply can't go wrong for the price, particularly when a Full-Irish typically costs about €9 in Galway.

My husband and I dined here and were seriously dissapointed. The pizza looked and tasted like a cheap frozen pizza and it was burned so badly I couldn't cut it. I ended up leaving 3/4 of the 9.90euro pizza on the plate and the waitress didnt even ask why. The bolognese was filled with chunky carrots and the sauce was too thin. As for the atmosphere, its fine if you dont mind contorting yourself into confined spaces and having to get up when the people stuck next to you want to get up.

I visit Buon Appetito quite often for it's consistency. Rarely have a bad experience there. It's a very romantic little restaurant and the waitresses are lovely! The food is always delicious and comes in large portions for very little cost. However, on my last visit I waited almost 30 minutes for my meal, which was a little off-putting.

Came here on Sunday after my weekend in Dublin. The restaurant was quite enough as it was a Sunday. However what I had to eat was lovely and great value for money. Our waitress was nice and pleasnt. Will return!

I have eaten here on a number of occasions and to be brutally honest, have never been happy - the food is hugely overpriced for what you receive - fine for coffee as the location is great. There is huge potential but the food is a huge let down.

I was here for lunch on Monday with my boyfriend. We both chose from the specials menu which maybe was a bit of a mistake! I had the "prawns pasta" which actually tasted like tinned shrimp mixed with pasta and tomato sauce. My boyfriend chose a chicken dish in a mushroom and garlic sauce which he said was quite tasty but at €19 was overpriced considering it was served with frozen vegetables, bit disappointing to say the least. The only saving graces for this restaurant were the lovely atmosphere and friendly service.

Always good for a quick lunch of pasta or pizza but as others have said it's never too spectacular. Quite a tight spot and tends to be very busy but it's a great option after a saturday shopping and not too expensive. I really recommend the garlic pizza bread!

I have frequented this restaurant on many occasions, and the quality seems to depend on the days and times you visit. It can go either way in Buon Appetito, from a romantic quiet setting in which the staff attend to you impeccably, or on busier occasions such as a Saturday, they really rush you out the door and act as if they're doing you a favour to allow you to take time to enjoy your meal. The food is good, the vegetarian pizza especially, but the new higher prices make it difficult to justify spending as much for what can sometimes be second rate service. It is good for a casual lunch but otherwise you may be at risk of disappointment.

I ate here with a friend in the evening earlier this week. They have changed the menu since my last visit, with a bit of a price hike. I had the spinach and ricotta tortellini, which was tasty. We shared a bottle of the house merlot, which just acceptable for its €18 price tag. The atmosphere is quite relaxed and intimate. Staff are friendly, but annoyingly we had been asked twice if we were ready to order within 1 minute of sitting down. Food here is tasty and reasonably priced, but don't expect to be blown away!

It's fine for a good pizza, pasta, and cup of coffee. The service is fast and welcoming, not spectacular but hits the spot

I ate here with my boyfriend last weekend and was disappointed overall. The atmosphere of the place is nice and relaxed which I liked but the waitress who was working there spoke very loudly meaning our romantic atmosphere was somewhat ruined. When I requested parmesan she dutifully brought it out along with some black pepper and then proceeded to put the cheese on my dish for me - something I do not like. As the saying goes, never water another man's whiskey! For starters, I had mushrooms in a tomato and cheese sauce which was nice and quite filling. The main course, gnocchi, was disappointing as the only thing I could taste was garlic. Though the price was not high, it was irritating to pay for something that I did not enjoy
