I booked the dinner & a movie deal for my boyfriend's birthday. The staff at this hotel are exceptional and were attentive and helpful throughout. We were taken to our two-person table in one of the lounges staright away. I found it a bit strange to sit on an armchair for dinner so the waitress happily moved us to a more comfortable area. I had the Ceasar salad to start and my boyfriend chose the prawns. Both were delicious. I chose the steak for my main course which came with a potato gratin which was amazing. The asked for a medium steak which was cooked to perfection but was quite grisly and not of as high a quality as I had expected. My boyfriend ordered the burger which he enjoyed and found quite filling. We had a bottle of an organic merlot which was nice, but overpriced for it's quality. Our movie tickets were delivered with our bill which was handy. One suggestion would be to ban the use of mobile phones where people are having dinner. It dampened the atmosphere quite a bit. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience. Staff were all wonderful and deserve the highest possible praise.

What can i say about this place Oh MY GOD the atmosphere, food, service and value for money are all exceptional. We went for the cinema package which is a tow course meal and cinema tickets for 28euro. It was well worth the money. For starter i had the warm goats cheese tartlet with red onion marmalade it was to die for. I then had the g burger which when it can out i thought there could have been a few more chips but to be honest i couldnt finish what was on the plate. I have to say it was a truly exceptional expernice and will defo be doing it again. GREAT NITE OUT

I had a mixed experience when I ate in the G hotel lounge as part of their cinema deal - a 2 course meal and a cinema ticket. The cinema deal itself is nice - you can get a starter and main or a main and dessert from a set menu. I ordered the goat's cheese and asparagus tagliatelle and a dessert. Unfortunately there was no goat's cheese in the dish :( It was quite tasty, in a carbonara kind of a way (without the bacon of course), but it didn't have any goat's cheese! I should have complained when I realised, but I figured that was just the way they did it. Plus I was with a work crowd so didn't want to seem to be moany. However when some of the girls with me got the same dish as I was eating dessert, and I could clearly see the goat's cheese, I complained. I was sooo disappointed. The waitress was very good about it and did seem to really talk to the chef about it. But I was fobbed off with an excuse and offered a drink instead - but I was going to the cinema so had no time to stay for a drink. A drink doesn’t really cut it anyway. I'm not saying I wouldn't eat here again with the cinema deal, but it would not be my idea to go back. The dessert was very nice. Some of the people with me had the burgers and fish, and all enjoyed it.
