I had an even booked here - a christening, the bar staff were great the food was lovely, but the manager was abusive towards me. I was overcharged, which can happen no issue so I just looked for a refund of the overcharge, I was told not today - I tried to explain what I had asked for but to no avail the manager did not want to know and then proceeded to say that I "should book finger food for a Christening" I was so upset and offended. I am local and I have been to this hotel on many occassions and I have ha d a fantastic time my 30th my afters of my wedding but this has shocked me.

No matter when you visit Cloonacaueen Castle it is always an exceptional experience from the welcome you get in the bar to the service and food in the restaurant it can not be faulted. The Atmosphere is very relaxing whether you are having a romantic meal for two or dinner with friends or family it is truly worth a visit
