This is a great place to go before the cinema. the burger selection is vast. The prices are good value and you wont be hungry. I love the falafel burger. It comes with skinny rosemary fries for 10E. It is what it is- a burger place but they are great burgers!

Ate here with a friend, the burgers were tasty as were the sides of onion rings and fries. The service howevver was a let down, we did get a very friendly greeting from who I assume was the manager but after that we were left at our table and ignored by the waitress. I spent about 15 minutes trying to get her attention for our drink refills, even when she came to clear the table next to us and I practically waved in her face she passed by our table and asked the people seated behind us if everything was OK. After some very intense waving she eventually came over to us and then took ages to bring the refills, by then we were finished eating anyway. The bill was €32 for the two of us which was not bad. Don't know if I will go back, I'd rather spend my money where I don't get ignored by the waitress!

I eat here alot when I am at the movies here. Love the Habanero Burger, my mouth is watering as I write that! Service is always friendly and efficient, and the same staff are here a long time which is always a good sign, food is consistently tasty.

I was in Liffey Valley recently with my daughter and we were a bit peckish. We decided to give the food court a miss and opted for GBK instead, boy were we glad we did. The food was yummy. I went for the habanero and my daughter the cajun with fries and a drink. The bill came to less than 16.00 euro as we had a bogof voucher from mylunch.ie. Cant wait to go back here again with the entire family. Great value with the voucher and the food is awesome. Highly recommended.

Was going to cinema so decided to have a bite to eat first. No queue here so decided to go - was a mistake. Were show the set menu for €15 so decided to go for that. I think in hindsight that was a mistake. Starters were ok though not plentiful. I went for the classic burger and it could have done with a much sharper knife to saw through it, it was dry and nasty. The chicken burger was apparently a bit better. The chips though were a disaster, soggy, lukewarm and looked as if they had been through the fryer a few times. Dessert was a tub of ice cream or a cheesecake so no complaints there it is what it is. the tea/coffee was never offered. At no stage did anyone come to ask was food ok, so I said I would wait until paying the bill and see what happened. Not a word to ask so hence the review. A complete waste of time and money - other tables who had obviously not gone for the set menu seemed to have much nicer looking food, hence the comment at start.

Hi, Decided to go for a quick burger after shopping in Liffey Valley as we were starving. First, we were kept waiting outside with 3 tables empty inside the restaurant. By the time we were seated about 3 couples behind us were seated the same time. Then they took the order of everyone else who came after us first and never came over to us. We had to shout for someone to come and take our order after about 15 minutes waiting. I was tempted to leave at this point. The starters came out pretty much straight away. I had the hollumi cheese which was okay but wouldn't have it again. Cajun chicken pieces were much nicer. I got L&P because i loved it when I lived in NZ but unfortunately it was flat and wasn't very nice. We were then waiting nearly an hour, watching burgers go out to every other table but ours. When we asked why was there such a delay we were told they accidentally stamped our docket and thought we had gotten our food already. They were very apologetic and gave us our meal for free and offered us more starters while we waited. I still wouldn't go back. Obviously very badly organized and managed. 1 1/2 hours for a burger. Disaster.

Burgers were fine, but my onion rings were very bland, with little or no taste of onion off them. Also, "background" music was a bit too loud.

i went to gbk last night with my husband and 2 of my children. We got there about 6.30pm and it was very busy. We were served within minutes. Food was excellent and great value. I had the blue cheese burger which i would highly recommend. Our bill was just under 40 euro which compared to the other fast food places, was outstanding value and the food quality far superior. Cant wait to return here and bring the remainder of my family too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tipped accordingly

Ate here about a month ago before going to the cinema. when we went in first you get the feeling that your sitting right next to every body i think they tried to fit maybe three or four more tables than they should have and as a result it feels very cramped. I wasn't very impressed burger was dry and bland and the fries were underdone. It is value for money but you expect a certain standard

Have eaten here a few times and to be honest it was only as there is little choice in the centre! The burgers have been overdone the chips bland, the service offhand, it's not good value for what it is.

Not one I would recommend. 9.99 for a burger, chips and soft drink. You have a choice of a regular, chicken or veggie burger. I opted for the chicken burger. When it came out it was in batter which had been deep fat fried and was very tuff and dry. I asked for mayonnaise, it took 15 mins and I had to ask again. The restaurant wasn't busy so they just forgot! Seemed reasonable but I would have enjoyed a chipper more! Chips were not cooked and were cold by the time they came out. I won't be going back there.

It really does do what it says on the tin. Delicious burgers at very affordable prices. Burger+side of home cut fries+glass of wine or beer for 12 euro. Service was very efficient.

I have visited GBK on a number of occasions with friends. It has failed to disappoint. I think it's very difficult to find a "posh" fast food chain that produces good quality food and I feel that GBK has managed to do what so many similiar chains have failed to. The chicken skewers are always a firm favourite, followed by the chilli burger and lovely chunky chips, yum! All of this washed down with a large coke or strawberry milkshake makes for an amazing shopping day treat! I'll definitely be back!

I visited Gourmet Burger yesterday for the first time and I would have to say it will be my last. It really is just a fastfood restaurant that they have tried to make posh but have failed. The atmosphere was non existent. It appeared that it was only a two man show, the Chef and the waiter/maitre D. When the food eventually came, the chicken was soo hard and overcooked, I have blisters in my mouth. The chips were unappealing and appeared reheated. Definitely on to miss

I went here with a friend for dinner one day after seeing a movie in the nearby cinema. The staff were efficient and the atmosphere was typical of a fast food burger outlet, although the quality of food was of a much better quality. I had a vegetarian burger option: a falafel burger with hummus and a spicy relish. It was delicious. My friend had a classic beef burger and chips and reported that her meal was also tasty. They were doing a burger+fries+soft drink deal all for under a tenner the day that we visited, which represented great value for money. I will definitely be returning to this burger joint for another falafel fix.

This place wasn't given a chance off the mark in my opinion! I think we just caught them on a bad day. Apparently it wasn't advertised that Liffey valley was shut on New Years day so they were understaffed & unprepared for the people filing into the restaurant. I had the low rise chicken burger, which was absolutley gorgeous, the chips were amazing & I never say that about chips! But I'd heard so much about them! Their chilli mayo was gorgeous also. The only bad thing I have to say is that it was slow but they were understaffed & it was New Years day, they did their best. We had ordered cokes with our meal and they came out with some oily substance on top & tasted watered down. The server changed them for us and explained it may be because of the water situation ( I think he meant unfiltered - Ice) but I'll leave that up to you to decide ;) Enjoy

Have eaten in most of the Gourmet Burger Kitchens at this stage and though the atmosphere and service can be a little hit and miss the food quality is pretty consistent and they do good value offers and regular vouchers so they are always a safe bet if you're not looking for anything too fancy. Also they are great for veggies as they have 4 great choices. This time my companion and I both had the falafel burger which was very nice.My main issue with falafel from cafes or stalls is it is often served too dry but this is not the case here. The three falafels come covered in yummy raita sauce. They are a little simpy with their relish though. We also had the chips which were nice but not great and the chilli dip which went very well with the burger. Will be back again with my next voucher.

I've eaten here lots of times and love it! Their burgers are fantastic and i've never left here feeling hard done by. Not much of an atmosphere but to be honest you go here for the amazing burgers, not the ambience. Big portions, great food and the staff are always polite. I'll definitely be returning again.

My friend and I decided to have some thing to eat here last night before a movie. There was plenty of choice on the menu and my friend decided to have a chicken burger with cranberries & camembert and I had the habenara burger. We both ordered fries and a garlic mayo dip. When the food arrived the chicken burger was over cooked, the cheese as not melted on both burgers and the chips were well over crispy. The mayo dip had been left lying so there was a skin on it. Not impressed and probably wouldn't return.

Called in last night for quick bite. Had to wait few minutes for a table as the place was really busy. Had the order taken pretty quickly considering how busy the staff were. I ordered Cheese & Bacon burger and my partner ordered the Chicken Burger, both ordered fries and water and Heiniken for drinks. Seemed to take a while for the food to arrive but that may well have been cos I was starving at this stage. Food arrived ans alas the order was wrong. Two Cheese & Bacon burgers instead of one and a Chicken burger. We called the waiter who went to check with the kitchen and he told us it would be about another 6 minutes or so. My partner decided not to wait and opted to eat the Cheese & Bacon. The waiter said he'd give him another glass of Heiniken on the house as an apology. It never arrive however but as my partner said , it was the thought that counts. Food was delicious and we had a voucher that entitled us to all of the above for €20, so really good value. Will defo come back.

Have been here on a couple of occasions as a friend of mine is a big fan - however I'm yet to be convinced! My view is that it's totally overpriced for what you get - granted the burgers and chips are a decent size but I still think for that money it would be better spent elsewhere. I agree with another review about the slow service to get the bill - I doubt I'll be returning in the near future.

I have been here a few times and was dissapointed this time they have stopped there €5 burger with a cinema ticket offer which was always great value. Anyway there was no queue which was unusual the staff where quick to seat us. I got the moroccan salad while my friend got the falafels which both loved our food my salad was huge I was stuffed after it. We shared chips which are very good they are huge with some spices on them which make them. I will be back here as very time I go I am never dissapointed my only problem is trying to get the bill again we were trying to get someones attaention for ages we ended up having to go to the till and pay.

Disappointed with my Cranberry Chicken Burger, there was to much sauce on burger which made it soggy and hard to eat, I left have of it. The chips are done in rosemary which are the best I have tasted. Staff very nice

Went here for lunch on Friday afternoon. I'm not a big fan of burgers so I was delighted to see my favourite, falafel, on the menu. Himself had a cheese and bacon burger which was full price; I had the falafel which was €5 and we both had chips. His burger disappeared within minutes and he looked very pleased with it. My falafel was very good; not too dry in the middle, the yoghurt sauce was lovely as was the hummus. Chips were good; home cut and nicely cooked. The bill came to €23 including a sparkling water which was very good value considering the amount of food we had. I'd definitely go back again and it's nice to have some place good to eat in the local area.

Had lunch there yesterday - cheeseburger and fries delicious - toasted burger bun, lettuce, tomato and onion were lovely and fresh. Good value once you steer clear of alcohol! Ledges on the partitions could do with being dusted however.

Met two friends here for a bit of a celebration early lunch, and the food did not disappoint. I had the BBQ burger, which was melt-in-the-mouth good, and the milk shakes were lovely too, just a little bit too watery to be absolutely perfect, but still went down very well. My friends paid, so can't comment on value for money, but the prices did seem just a little on the expensive side. Nice clean seating area, and the staff were attentive enough.

We went here for the first time after a long hard days shopping, we didnt have to wait for a seat which was great, I ordered the avacado burger which is amazing but its huge so my other half had to finish it off as it was too big for me! Our bill came to 50 euro which I thought was a little on the pricy side, We ordered 2 burgers 2 glasses of wine and a soda with a side order of onion rings, Service was good but I think they need to look at their prices!

I had a late lunch/early dinner here on Sunday with my sister. I didn't want a burger/breaded chicken so I ordered a salad. I ordered off the menu because I wanted to make sure it was wheat-free so I asked for grilled chicken with sweet potato, rocket and tomato. My sister ordered the Moroccan salad with avocado. We had to wait a while as it was busy but the waiter was accomodating with me making up my own salad. It wasn't a very big portion but it was a tasty meal. The sweet potato was hard though -not fully cooked and I was charged €11 which is more than I would expect for a basic salad. My sister loved her salad. It was a big portion with plenty of couscous, chicken and avocado. Sparkling water was €2-good value as I am used to being ripped off when I order water

Eateries like GBK symbolise everything I hate about eating out...CHAIN RESTAURANTS!! The problem with restaurant chains is that they become overlly familiar If eaten in too often and eventually become boring. Im aware that there burgers have rave reviews and are the favourite of many, but nah ah, not for me!! My last visit, burger was cooked gto death, not an ounce of juice, well then whats the point in a hamburger?? Priced ridiculously with some burgers costing around the 12 euro mark? Dont think Im the only one who thinks the joint is over rated!!

One of the tastiest burgers i've ever had! Stopped here for a bite to eat after some shopping. All the restaurants nearby had queue's but we'd never eaten in one of these burger places before so queued for a few minutes to get in. Shopping centre was obviously busy with January sales shoppers. We were given a seat near the entrance which ended up quite cold as there is no actual door to the restaurant. My girlfriend kept her coat on throughtout our meal which wasnt great. Service was fine but they were obvioulsy under presure due to it being busy. Ordered a bacon n cheese burger each with chips but they were out of chicken wings. Got chicken dunkers instead which were gorgeous but small portions. Then came the burger which was fantastic! Chips were ok but paid extra for bbq sauce which didnt even taste like bbq sauce! The bill was resonable enough and we left satisfied except cold due to lack of door or good heating!

Went here for a cheap and cheerful meal with three others. I had the Harbernero which was slightly hot but not too bad. It was tasty and are big so the 4oz burger was more than enough!! One of the girls had the chicken burger with camembert and cranberry which was quite nice too. The chips were not great - a little on the greasy side which was disappointing but the smoked chilli dip was yum! The strawberry milkshake is a nice treat! As burger places go its nice! Would definitely go again if I was after something quick and filling!

went in for a burger and chips today, had olives to start which were really tasty, i got the cajun burger which was really tasty and my sister the honey mustard chicken. We also got a side of the homeslaw!food was delicious as usual (nice to see the consistency from branch to branch!) the only downfall is the wait but the lindt chocolate when you get your bill makes up for it! also excellent value when you flash your cinema ticket!

Great service at GBK and great offers too, that the staff are always willing to tell you about :)
Response:
I love all these first timer 5 start reviews for the various GBK's. Doesnt lend ANY credibility and the dead giveaway always seems to mention the service before the food!

Went here for a quick burger before the movies.. Our burgers were delicious but the wait for them was agonising.. I have to say that the service here is not the best but it was a busy night in the centre.. but i think the 15 min wait for your burger is a little ott.. our chips and onion rings arrived half way through our burger which was annoying.. Im not sure i would visit this place again if i was going to the movies straight after.. but i would go back for the burgers, they are the nicest i have tasted out of all the Fancy Burger joints in Dublin...

I have been a fan of gourmet burger since it opened and have eaten in the Ranelagh and Naas branches a few times. This was my first time in this one and I hate to say it, but may be my last. We dropped in before the cinema and gave ourselves an hour. When we ordered, the waitress asked if we would like to order starters as our mains would be at least 20 minutes which was fair enough. We did this and 25 minutes laster, still no starters! When we asked, we were told that they had said it would be 20 minutes but that wasn't the issue, it was that we hadn't received the starters, so she brought them out and it was obvious that they had been sitting a while. We then got our mains and the chips were soggy and only just warm. Fair enough, they seemed understaffed but it would put me off going there again and one of the dips we received with our starters looked as though it may have been re-cycled from another table!! Nice staff but service wasn't great and neither was the food. One good thing - if you show your cinema ticket when ordering, all burgers are €5!

Just the same as the other GBK's- nice for cheap eats in Liffey Valley though when the five euro burger deal is on. In love with the Kiwi Burger, and they did it exceptionally juicy here! The vegetarian range is also great.

Nothing exceptional, but the burgers are very tasty. It's good for a bite to eat before going to the cinema. There can be a bit of a wait for a table though, so allow a bit of time.

I have been here a few times. I find its just ok. In liffey valley we were served cold dry chips. They charge for the extra sauce even though my burger was served far too dry, have not been back since, its junk food with a fancy name.

We decided to pop in here to try some place different before heading to the movies. With the offer of €5 for your burger if you have a movie ticket made it more appealing as €11.50 for only a burger I would have felt was a bit too expensive. The burgers were tasty and not over done. I had the bacon/ avo but could taste the avo was slightly unripe. The goats cheese burger with aubergine got the thumbs up as did the chips and onion rings. We had just under an hour to eat and all went well and we got out in time for the movie feeling satisfied.

we ended up going to the cinema because of the cinema&burger deal they have. they forgot our order so we had to wait a long time, but I do like the burgers here, the chicken is very good, it's breaded and tasty

was in there mid afternoon, was given table straight away, service was good, no complaints about staff at all, they were extremely helpful, as i explained to the waitress i like my burgers rare to medium, she explained to me because of the size of the burger it would need to be done more,Understood what she meant when the burger arrived, I had the kiwi burger, chips, and chilli dip, had no complaints at all with the meal, staff over every so often to check everything ok, got my bill when i asked for it, very enjoyable, and will be back

Went here for Friday lunch, 2 adults and 2 kids, first time in GBK. I wont be back. Chicken dippers were almost burnt, slimy, greasy. kids wouldnt touch them. The sweet chilli and garlic mayo dips never materialised and when I requested them the waitress plonked down a single plastic tub with mayo on the bottom and the chilli blobbed on top, flowing over the sides. So you couldnt have the mayo without chili - whats the point of advertising them as separate? Junior burger was VERY well done - almost burnt, but was also cold, with the cheese topping so congealed I suspect it was a burger someone else had sent back. Bacon avocado burger okay but for that dreadful disgusting relish, as other reviewers have said - its horrible. Fries okay, milkshakes okay, staff okay but quite disinterested. When clearing away the uneaten food I mentioned the chicken was inedible, waitress went "ummm, okay". And still charged for it. Gourmet? They must be joking.

Ate here last night with some friends and it was fine, None of us had been here before so it was first for all of us.. We got a seat no problem and the staff were very nice and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere - we sat and chatted for a while before we ordered and there was no rush on either the staff or us. When we did order our food came quickly enf and was tasty. I had the chicken breast burger but i took of the relish as i really did not think it worked at all apart from that it was nice and tasty. My friend had the cheese burger and she said it was lovely and was well impressed and also there was a salad had too and a chips to share. All in all not a bad night out - food was fine, not over filling but was tasty - would not be rushing back but would not rule it out as a no go either.. Give it a go anyways and if you get there before 6 you can get the deal, burger, chips and drink for €10, not a bad price but unfortunately we jst missed the meal deal with about 15 mins..

Absolutely apalling. I registered with menupages just so I could write a review about how terrible this "restaurant" is. The food was absolutely atrocious, chips were obviously out of a frozen packet onion rings were awful, starters were measly, bland and ridiculously overpriced, as is the whole menu. As my partner put it, I wouldn't send my worst enemy here.

My sister and I went into GBK on sunday to grab some lunch. We ordered the Junior chicken burgers, chips, and onion rings. When are food finally arrived we realised that the junior chicken burger isn't a chicken burger at all, but over-cooked fried chicken tenders in a bun. The chicken was dry and greesy. The relish in the burger was distgusting, seriously horrible. Even though the chips looked nice and chunky most of them had black rotten bits going right through them. Overall it was really dissapointing and there was nothing gourmet about the experience.

Myself and My Boyfriend have been to GBK quite a few times, We love it! The Food Is excellent. The staff could be a bit more friendly but other than that its lovely. Although they would probably be better if they did "meals" instead of just burgers and then buying everything seperate.

was here monday afternoon for lunch. waitresses were friendly. atmosphere is as you would expect in a shopping centre restaurant. food was good- HUGE burgers, we ordered chips also but didnt need them! nice variety of burgers that you can't really get anywhere else. although the food was slightly cold, dont know why because there was only 3 other tables in at the time. It is good value for money especially with the portion size. Will be back to try out more of the menu!

Visited the Gourmet Burger Kitchen in Liffey Valley with my partner and son. The server was great and very helpful. My son ordered a milkshake and it didn't taste right. He brought another one to the table straight away and gave him an adult sized one to compensate. I ordered the lamb burger and it was fabulous. Don't order the milkshakes however (esp. chocolate) as mine separated like my son's did after a little while as well. If I go back I will NOT order the milkshakes. Only other complaint is that chips do not come with the burger. Everything else on the menu is ala carte style and it is a bit pricey for burger and chips. The lamb burger however was fantastic!

Ate here on Tuesday night. Service was awful. Starters were medicore - mostly frozen food I'd imagine. We still had our plates from starters on front of us when they brought our mains. I had the cheeseburger which was tasty, not cooked to the medium they said it would be but it was tasty all the same, way too much lettuce as mentioned here before. Everyone else enjoyed their burgers too.

I went here with my husband on Friday 24.04.09. We'd never been before so when we saw the queue outside we thought it looked promising. The staff were friendly but service was slow. We ordered a starter that turned out to be very medicore and over-priced. We then both had burgers for our main course. As a previous reviewer commented, our burgers were also way too overdone and each was covered with what seemed to be half a butterhead lettuce and 3 slices of beef tomatoe in a lame attempt to disguise their atrocious condition. We were going to complain about the burgers but when we looked around and saw everyone else's burgers were also like charcoal! We thought it was just the way they cook them there. The chips were disgusting - they were out of a packet and were just hollow. This morning I tried to ring the premises five times to complain but the phone was incessantly engaged. I suspect they were dealing with countless other complaints from the weekend.

Went here yesterday afternoon prior to going to the cinema. A little bit of a wait but we weren't in too much of a hurry. The three children asked for burgers from the main menu - none wanted the salad and relish. The spouse and I both went for the blue cheese burgers. Everything was very tasty - the chips were delicious (three portions between five of us was sufficient, given the size of the burgers and the sesame buns), and the salad with pecorino was surprisingly good. We enjoyed our meal - a little pricey maybe for a children's treat, but the food is of good quality. The service was a little slow, but very obliging.

Met my daughter off the college bus and called into liffey valley for some lunch. The lunch was advertised for E10 including a drink. We said we would give it a try. Well it is no wonder it is so busy. Staff, service and food absolutely gorgeous. Will definitely call back. Great value

Had lunch here today with a friend - nice place, bright and pleasant. Our waiter explained the lunch 'offers' of the day. Yep, you guessed it - it only applied to about 4 of the burgers from their menu, but we weren't interested in any of those 4 burgers. Didn't order chips as the waiter told us the burgers were 'huge' - he wasn't kidding. Food arrived quickly and was tasty enough, but nothing spectacular. The spectacular element was the cost - I do think that €10 (and upwards) is FAR too much for ANY burger, regardless of where it's purchased. It was almost €30 for lunch - that's too expensive for what we got. Luckily we didn't order chips as well, which brings me to another point - nearly €4 for a portion of chips is unacceptable - and they're small portions at that (saw them being served to other tables). Can anyone explain why there are no prices against the food items on the sample menus for GBK on the MenuPage site? (apart from the fact that it might scare people off before they even get going there)

We were looking for somewhere to eat and happened upon this place. The waiting staff were pleasant but the food was awful. I ordered the Mexican and himself ordered the Blue Cheese burger. We ordered a portion of fries and a portion of coleslaw. The burgers themselves are impossible to eat as they're stacked so tall. I actually had to go looking for the patty it was so small and it was burned too and tasted horrible. No sign of the refried beans it mentioned on the menu, kidney beans instead. His burger had so much bland sauce on it that it kept squirting out the sides whenever he tried to eat it. The prices are ridiculous, over €10 for a burned burger and over €3 for a tiny portion of fries and the same for horrible coleslaw. Won't be going back.

Very disappointed with this place. Decided to try it recently on a trip to the cinema. Ordered two cheeseburgers, two fries, and 2 soft drinks. Took what felt like an eternity for the food to arrive. Burgers were very overdone, small and burned. They were served on an enormous burger bun with a huge chunk of tomato and lettuce to give the appearance that it was a big burger. Chips were frozen rather than home made, bit of a cheek considering the prices they charge for them. The bill came to over thirty euro, unbelivable for two mediocre cheeseburgers with chips. Substandard fast food served at restaurant prices. Won't be going back.

Wasn't too impressed with this burger joint. The burger was nice but no nicer than a fast food restaurant. Didn't find the staff too friendly and the service was slow. They also got the order wrong. Maybe I just went at the wrong time. They were only open a week or so. Maybe I'll go back and give it another go just to make sure.

Popped in here on Sunday while in Liffey Valley, wasn't looking for anything fancy and this hit the spot nicely, would rather a burger from here than some of the other fast food places in the shopping centre and although an avergae burger is about €10 without fries, it's worth it!

One word..YUMMY!!! This was my first visit to GBK with a group of girlfriends after a hard day's Christmas shopping. We were so glad we stuck out the queue as it moved fairly quickly and the food was out of this world. Great vegetarian selection and an even better non-veggie one. Decor is clean and simple, lots of space for everyone.Service was excellent. Will definitely be back over and over and over!

I guess it is still relatively new, but they still have quite a few kinks to work out! Like we arrived to be told that half the menu wasn't available, and they had run out of coke. Which I think is a pretty serious thing, because it doesn't come across as professional at all. The food was nice, nothing mind blowing but not too expensive so I wasn't too cut up about it. I wouldn't rush back.

I had been sort of put off visiting the GBK in Liffey Valley having read some of the less positive reviews here on Menupages; but when I did go to have lunch there last weekend, I was pleasantly surprised. My burger was enormous (chips are clearly ordered separately for good reason!), juicy, tasty, and loaded with toppings. Messy eating, but casual and relaxed.

I came here with my friend and was interested as I have eaten in alot of the new gourmet burger places. Each seem to do the majority of there offering well, but this place was a differnt matter. And not in a good way. The "restaurant" is in the middle of the shopping centre walkway which is awful. The staff were rude and unhelpful flung the bill at me.The meat was dry and overcooked dispite telling me it would be medium. The bun contray to the last reviewer was hugh and a bit stale. The deep fried chicken bits to start are frozen and very expensive, as too are the chips. This place is a rip off, the other gourmet burger places know what they are doing, this place it would appear are trying to piggyback on them and failing.

Wow! Hadn't planned on eating here but was shopping in Liffey Valley so decided to pop in. The service was fast and efficient and I had my drink after about 2 mins. I had the cajun burger which was delish! Perfect size as well as I find similar restaurants go overboard on the amount of bread which is pointless. The fries were gorgeous and we also had some cajun chicken pieces which were fab with the smoked chilli mayo! I'd definitely go back and the price was reasonable as well.

Burger King, McDonalds does not come no where near Gourmet Burger Kitchen (Quality over quantity . The burgers are massive, very tasty and cooked to perfection. The fries are not oily they are crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. The garlic and blue cheese dips are delicious. The staff where very friendly and explained the menu well to me. I would recommend to anyone GBK is the business, the real deal the best burgers out. Its about time we got a real decent burger place. From Gourmet Burger Fan.

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The options are great. The beefburger is delicious (I don't like fancy burgers, the plainer the better, with the meat speaking for itself). The fries are yummy. The staff, to give them their due, warned us that portion sizes (mains) are large and to just share a fries, which we did. Their smoked mayo type dip was stunning, amazing, yummy. But we did wait a while, and others were seated ahead of us, and the staff were a bit up-their-bum unfriendly. Excellent options for veggies, which is nice for a change. Starters of broadbeans were nice, but I wouldn't bother again. The olives probably would have been nice if we ever got them (and then didn't have to argue about it when the bill arrived), but how and ever. So - mixed feelings. I'd probably go again, but might not rush there.

What can I say about this place, other than I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Service was awful we had to wait 10 minutes for a drink. When the food arrived I knew it was going to be bad, the fries were overcooked and full of oil. I made an error and ordered the BBQ burger. To say it was vile is an understatement. The burger itself was overcooked and chewy but it was covered and I mean covered in freezing cold slop that was supposed to be BBQ sauce. I had to scrape it off and try to work around it. Even thinking about how horrible it was turns my stomach. I left very hungry and will never ever go back. Don't waste your time or money, it's not worth it.

Well, mixed feelings about this one. I love the food. The burger with the bacon and avocado is my favourtie. I also found the chips quite nice. Staff are pleasant, haven't had a problem with them. But I do think the food is over-priced. We get cajun chicken strips or something for starter, and we always ask for the one to share (it says on the menu it is for two people) and to be honest, if it was for one person, I would think it was a miserably small starter. Tastes great though. As for atmosphere. It's hard to have any atmosphere when you're staring out into a shopping centre. I get distracted by all the shoppers walking by and staring in at me... Overall, good food, but could be cheaper...

Went to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago as I had heard so much about it. Staff attentive and pleasant at all times but if you are looking for value for money then you wont get it at Gourmet Burger. The food itself was tasty and attractively displayed. Seating is very uncomfortable and the llighting and decor is not suitable to a diner like this, wont be back.

Not sure where the last reviewers are talking about but its not here. The service was awful, rude and non interested. The meat was way over cooked and tastless. They dont even use organic or free range beef, so whats so gourmet about it. No desserts which is plain stupid. The chips were cooked in what tasted like dirty oil and for E4 its too much. The size of the meat in the burger was small for the price considering it was just a quarter pounder size. This is one of the worst Gourmet Burger places in Dublin, there are a couple of others in D4 and D6 which far out class this excuse of a restaurant.

I have to say i really enjoyed the food here alot! i came here and ordered the chicken pieces with the chili sauce for sarters- the chicken was well cooked yet tender with a genourous herb coatinting and i liked that the chili sauce was sitting in the tub on some sour cream, mmm. for the main i had the classic burger, my waiter(the smiley chap) was helpful in telling me that they cook to preference i.e. its real meat!, so i went for medium nice and juicy. My impression; mince steak not mince beef, tastes like the way i barbeque and very fillng :)

I ordered a blue cheese burger from here, added in some bacon & had some chicken bites for a starter along with some fries. Chicken bites were lovely, however the sweet chili sauce was gloopy & stodgy, which was akin to the slop dominos pizza send out as sweet chili sauce. The Burger was fine, a little dry but nothing spectacular to justify it's pricing, & the scary part was being charged €3.50 extra for three tiny pieces of crispy bacon. If the food here was of an exceptional quality, it's prices would be justified as they'd be using high quality ingredients. The fact is they're not. Also to note, nowhere on the menu, or on their pricing board on the wall did it mention the prices for adding in something like bacon to the burger, nor did my waiter inform me of the extra costs associated to the price of the bacon When I did question the price of the bacon added, the managed more or less took a 'like or or lump it, but you're paying attitude' about it despite the fact I pointed out the pricing was never imparted to me which the waiter even admitted to. Another case of over-priced, low-to-mid quality food & very very poor customer service.

Do not judge this book by the cover!!! It is sadly let down by the staff. The food was good and it was great to have the option of a decent salad while himself had a burger, but it was badly let down by the deplorable service.

WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY....Went to GBK last night for the first time and will never return. When we arrived we had to wait for 5 mins to be seated...not because it was busy...but because the staff were talking amongst themselves at the counter. Several tables were seated after us yet all of their orders were taken before ours. We waited so long I went to the counter and asked could I place the order. Eventually the food arrived, again we were served after people that we had been there before. We had a chicken starter that was nice but fairly average. After we finished our starters the empty plates were left in front of us for ages, despite several waiting staff passing our table with their hands free. When the burgers eventually arrived the waiter pushed the used plates to the side to put the burgers down and HE LEFT THEM THERE. The burgers are just OK, a lot of garnish but not much substance. Fairly expensive for what you get. They're impressive at first sight but that is very short lived. All bun and no meat!! I'd strongly suggest to bypass GBK.

Yummy! Food was great. We tried the spicy Broad bean starter and thought it was super, served like nuts (i know it sounds strange but we enjoyed them) - small portion but for less than €3 what do you expect! The place was packed but well staffed so we weren't waiting long for anything. My partner had a Beef Cheese Burger and I had a Chicken Burger. We got two sides of fries but I hardly touched mine as there was so much in the burger! The buns were seaseme seed and looked homemade, plenty of fresh salad and the salsa was tasty! The fries were chunky home cut and they were good!!! No dessert menu though : ( Nevermind - we were full and happy leaving. Think the bill came to €35 altogether(with drinks) which I thought was ok!

We ate here the other afternoon before going into the cinema. Had I read the reviews first I probably wouldn't have bothered, but we went in unaware! Have to say, our burgers were delicious - and hot! I had the chicken, Camembert & cranberry and hubby had the Kiwi Burger, which I thought had a bit of a strange combination of ingredients (egg & beetroot amongst others), but he thoroughly enjoyed it and said it was the best burger he's ever had - high praise indeed from the burger connoisseur! Chips were ok and the 'Homeslaw' was kind of nice and 'different'. Service was friendly and efficient. We were disappointed that they didn't serve dessert though as we were in the mood to pig out. After reading all the previous bad reviews I'm not sure if I'd go back again as it sounds like our delicious burgers were in the minority and I certainly don't want to be paying for an expensive burger that's badly cooked!

We visited the Gourmet Burger Kitchen for the first time last night, and it will be the last - it is just not worth a repeat visit. Burgers were expensive, average in terms of taste, and were stacked high with loose fillings that are bound to fall out the first time you pick up the burger. Fries on the side were very average. I ordered the Mexican burger and the sludge of sour cream / avocado / the tiniest speck of salsa was adequate but no more. My husband ordered the barbeque burger and said it was "fine". The chicken pieces we had as a starter were, again, average but no more than that. We ordered two burgers and two sets of fries and only one set of fries came (after our burgers were brought). We waited for some time and then had to request the second set. My husband also ordered the lime milkshake and was told they were all gone. In the short time we were in the restaurant we noticed that the table beside us had the same problem (some of their order was not brought to them and had to be requested); another table had food brought to them and sent it back for some reason, and a woman requested milk as the coffee she'd ordered had "burned the mouth off her". This is all in the space of less than an hour on one particular night. I think we can safely gather that as well as the food being mediocre, the service wasn't up to much! There were empty tables in the Gourmet Burger Kitchen on the Sunday night we visited (typically a busy night for cinema-goers), while there was a queue outside Eddie Rockets. I think that tells you all you need to know - people who have already tried the GBK would rather queue for Eddie Rockets than visit again. And Eddie's is cheaper. If you charge the prices GBK do, and add the word "Gourmet" to your name, you should serve up a higher standard of food than this. And pay attention to service.

Wasn't impressed at all! The burgers were over cooked, we complained as they were almost burnt and we were told that this was how they cooked all the burgers. The service was friendly but the place was so busy that there was a queue out the door and for the life of me I can't understand why.

Visited this restaurant yesterday for the first time around 6pm after been at the movies in Liffey Valley. There was a slight queue outside so had to wait about ten minutes for a table. When we sat down we were waiting quite a while before our server asked whether we wanted drinks. We ordered a bottle of wine and one beer, the wine came to the table already opened and the server just poured, never enquiring whether we wanted to taste it, it was lucky we liked it! We then order 3 burgers, one chicken, one cheese and one cajun, was surpised that it didnt come with any chips or sauce so we ordered 3 chips and 3 sauces extra. In fairness the burgers are huge but for the price of a burger (which ranged from 10 euro approx to 14 euro) you would expect at least the sauce to accompany it. We then had 3 espressos which were lovely and hot (I hate ordering an espresso and it comes out luke warm) and at the stage we were very full. All in all it was an OK meal but the staff needs a bit more training and I wouldnt be rushing to go back for the price cos its quite expensive for just a burger and chips!

Had a great meal. Have eaten there in the UK, and prefer the table service here. Bit overcooked, but when I spoke to the manager he told me that they have to cook it med well here as per the health authority. Will definitely be back.

Very dry, tasteless food all around. Had falafel, which waiter said was mixed vegetables, but were just very very dry patties with little lettuce & a large raw tasting bun. Wife's chicken was dry too. Obviously frozen stuff, prepared without any thought. Price for a plastic bottle of small water 2.95, fries 3.65 (small bowl) wobbly table. Truly felt robbed. It's a pity, as we were so much looking forward to it's opening. First and the last visit for sure.

Visited this evening and like previous review had chicken camembert and cranberry burger. It was very nice. Unless you were very hungry, you would not eat chips with the burger as the burgers are huge. Pricewise, it is a little on the steep side for what it is, burgers anything from €10-€12 for just the burger without chips. I agree €1.50 is a bit OTT for the little tub of garlic mayonaise. Also, tables are a bit cramped, but it was a buzzy atmosphere so enjoyed the visit. Would return.

Not even close to a chipper. Me and my girfriend got a burger each to take away. I got the 11.50 euro chicken and cranberry one which was mostly made up of a giant burger bun, lettuce and an overly cooked piece of tasteless chicken. I wouldn't recommend it. My girlfriend got the chilli beef burger which was burnt to a crisp. You can get better food and value at your closest chipper.

For a pre-cinema bite I wasn't expecting anything special and that's what I got - nothing special. Having said that the wait wasn't too long, the staff seemed hassled but get the job done in a friendly way and the food came out in okay time. I love a good burger, what I got was fine but certainly not gormet. It's one step up from a chipper.

Mixed feelings about this one! After waiting 40 minutes to get in, I had to fight with the staff to stop another party being seated first. Everyone is clearly stressed and finding their feet, so decided to cut them some slack. The waitress in turn, ensured that we got our orders in straight away. The food was good for what it was - burgers and fries. Anyone who is expecting more will be sorely disappointed. However, was really impressed with the range of veggie and chicken options. Price wise it's a bit steep. They charge an average of 12 euro per burger and then ask another 4 euro for a small bowl of fries. No amount of packing the burger with salad, so it resembles a tower, will change anyones mind about value for money. Will go back again, but don't see it as a regular venue.

Underwhelmed and don't think I'll be going back in a hurry. Decor is nice, staff still finding their feet (we were asked if we were ready to order, then in the same breath asked to move from a booth to a table, said order was not taken, we had to wait for another waitress. Also had to ask for cutlery). The atmosphere is nice but borders on cramped. 20 min wait for 2 burgers, one mexican which was pleasant but not worth €11.40 on its own, one chorizo which at €10.25 could have been a bit more substantial considering 2 slices of chorizo is all you get under a sea of salad and an enormous bun. At these prices you absolutely should not be expected to order fries on the side at €3.65 a pop. They were nice but my enthusiasm was shortlived when we asked for some garlic mayo. If the amount of garlic in this stuff doesn't kill you being charged €1.50 for a tiny tub of the stuff will. All in all for 2burgers, 1 fries and 2 drinks I think a bill of €34.25 is pretty steep bordering on day-light robbery. Places will keep charging what they like for average food if they know people will pay for it.

I went here before the cinema on friday night. Was really lovely. Had the chicken burger with camembert, really original. The place was mad busy, we were lucky to get in the door! 5 minutes after we sat down there were about 15 people queuing outside. the only downside is that we were sitting beside the entrance and the people waiting in the queue are gawping at you while you're trying to eat the biggest burger you've ever seen. Chips were great too. Overall, nice concept and an enjoyable meal.
