Called in after work for food with my husband & child. Staff very friendly, very nice towards toddler that wanted to run around. There was no problem with her playing on the floor. We just had food from the bar menu, service was good, staff very nice food was lovely. Large portions neither of us couldn't finish

Booked here with my wife to take the mother-in-law out for Sunday Lunch near where she lived. Unfortunately we were located on the first floor having to take the lift and then down steps. Not great when an elderly person has a walking stick as an aid. Service was slow and place lacked atmosphere. There was a large party who had just arrived before us, in a room near us, which occupied the few staff available. The kitchen was not on the same floor. The food was palatable but did not stay hot for long, given the distance from kitchen to table. The veg went cold and after paying the bill, left almost full cold cups of coffee behind us. I won't be back.

Checked out this restaurant on one of my recent irish visits. The mood here is fantastic and set just the right atmosphere. Smiling staff is always nice and especially when they are as efficient as The Grill Room Staff. The hospitality was great and we felt like we were really well looked after. The food was unbelivablably delicious, with the steak being the best I’ve ever eaten. I’ve recommended The Grill Room to all of my Irish friends! Its definitely worth a visit!

The food wast nothing special. I asked for a rare steak but it arrived well done. The service was okay considering I think the place is very under-staffed. The floor staff seemed to be under a lot of pressure whilst the managers had a long and heated conversation in they're own language quite close to our table. I felt that instead of talking they could have been helping out. This could have been a once off incident but needless to say we didn't feel very comfortable while we eat our food and I will avoid this restaurant in the future.

There is no doubt about it; this is where you will get the best steak in Dublin. The food is incredible here1 Unfortunately the whole experience is let down by slack service which is a real shame. But if you honestly want a great meal take a drive to this place. The tasty food is just sublime, and if you are going to grab a steak...on my recommendation, try the chilli butter as its side. AMAZING!

I attended Grill Room for my daughters birthday, we decided to have bar food. Table we sat at had sofa on one side and two stools other side, the stools were to high for the low table which made it uncomfortable and sore on my husbands and other daughters back. We ordered food and waited for about half hour for starters, food was lovely. Then we waited and waited for mains which was nearly two hours after arriving there. The waitress asked was everything alright, we said no as three of us were served food and other daughter was not. They said mix up in kitchen, and it will be there in two minutes, the chicken burger arrived while rest of us had finished food, so we had sit looking at her eating, very disappointed experience here.

Really bad service. Waited at bar for 15 mins before anyone served me. Then a further hour before food arrived. Not like the place was packed. Barmaid and manager spoke their own language infront of us, quite rude. Will never return.

It was a very last minute decision to go to there for dinner but are were glad we went! Nothing of the old Trentino's remains and the atmosphere was great. It was busy for an early Wednesday evening but there was no problem getting a table for 2. We both had the earlybird, the Chicken and the Charred Salmon. And when our meals arrived we thought they'd given us the wrong menu....but no! The portions are just very generous and very well priced at €23.50 each! The Chicken was delicious and my Charred Salmon was mouth watering. Both meals automatically came with gorgeous mash but also fries (homemade). I will definitely go back and bring my friends next time. And will definitely try the Main Menu if the food on the earlybird menu is anything to go by!

Myself and my husband went here on friday. For starter he had chicken wings which were deli.I had chicken soup which didn't look very nice but was tasty. We ordered fillet steaks but got sirloins. These were very nice and well cooked. Our desserts were chocolate brownie and selection of ice-cream.The brownie wasn't very nice it tasted like it was out of a packet rather than homemade. The restaurant is beside a nighclub and the music from this really interferes with the atmosphere of the place. The service was excellent.Personally I will not be returning.

We had lunch in a large group, service was very fast, and the food arrived very quickly. I had a chicken salad: Chargrilled chicken on a bed of rocket red onion and sundried tomatoes, with sweet chilli and pesto. It sounds delicious but in reality it's a little lack lustre, and the portion was small. On the other hand my husband had the bacon cheese burger, which looked and smelt delicious. And he being a burger connoiseure gave it 4/5. Everyone at the table seemed satisfied with their meal, I certain would be willing to try again but next time would probably opt for the burger.

We eat in the bar here for lunch on the Sunday after New Year and we were the only ones in in the place. The food was standard pub grub but good value, particularly the kids portions. We will be back to try the restaurant some time.

First off, one would have to compliment the service here. The managers & waiters were very friendly from the moment we wallked right until we left. We were told they were short a waiter but there was never a problem & there were a few big tables. All in all we were happy with the food. The mixed starter for 2 was plentiful & tasty. Steaks for main, the missus went for the sirloin & Diane Sauce & I the ribeye with pepper corn sauce. My steak was tender being a ribeye, but the sirloin was on the tough side even for medium rare. For a steakhouse you would expect your steak to be aged & tender. The Diane sauce was a little different to what we were told, a reduced red wine sauce turned out to be a pepper corn sauce with tomatoe?? The pepper sauce was good. Too full for desert except for a French coffee which was lovely. All in all we were satisfied & might venture back again.

Had the early bird here. Food was lovely, had the wings and sirloin, really nice! the only bad thing was i'm sure the soft drinks were from the dispenser instead of fresh bottles!!! good value, would definitely go back again!

Stopped here for something snackish and had spring rolls from the bar menu.Quite a good selection available for a bar menu, the usual burgers, lasagne, sandwiches etc.Companion had guinness and said it was the best pint he had tasted in a long time. Were told the restaurant is re-opening this week, so it will be worth giving it a try. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

I brought the girl here for a nice meal last saturday night and i have to say it's was great value for money. It's a set menu for €39.95 but you have a choice of 5 or 6 different thing for each course so there was plenty of options. I had the mussels for starters,10oz sirloin and i have to say it was super, the pepper sauce was one of the best ive ever had and crème brulee for dessert. The other half had the roast veg soup, roasted chicken breast and selection of ice creams. I have to say i was really happy with the food and the atmosphere was really relaxed. After are meal we went for a few drinks in the bar which had decent music. We never felt rushed like in some restuarants in town and they ordered us a taxi at the bar and everything to get home.

Iam delighted to see that Kingswood Bar and restaurant has reopened, these guys seem to have got the mix right with a substantial bar food menu in the beer garden and bar area which was never avaialble before. There were a couple of large parties in for communion lunch which was great for the kids as there is plenty of room outside for them to run around while the adults relaxed food was good, staff were attentive all in all good value and we enjoyed the visit.

Brought the family here yesterday for Sunday lunch as I enjoyed it so much the first time and I have to say it was even better this time around. My parents would be hard to please but they did not have one complaint. Things improved with each course which was no mean feat as the starters were lovely. A very reasonably priced Sunday lunch menu with a great selection. The food was delicious and the service impeccable.

I had one of the nicest meals here. I ordered rabbit to start and weal for my main course. Both were absolutely delicious. My partner had spinach and broccoli soup and medallions which were also delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly medium and we shared the most amazing bottle of wine with our meal. The staff were extremely attentive and were very polite. The espressos were perfect but I wasn't too keen on my poached pear but I think it was because I was full rather than not liking it. I've been here on several occasions and will be back many more times. The only thing is the prices. My main cost 32euro and my partners medallions cost 31euro. I didn't mind paying because the restaurant is really nice and the food is delicious. I do think that if they lowered the prices slightly, the restaurant would appeal to more people though.

We popped into the Kingswood house for lunch last sunday. The staff were very friendly and service was good. As it was just lunch we only had soup and wraps but both were very tasty and well presented, it was a little pricey for just a lunch you could probably get the same anywhere else so it did disappoint in that way.. Probably wouldn't go back for lunch just because of the price, but would stop in for a drink!

My partner and I had a meal here a couple of weeks ago. I must say I was a little disappointed. While the interior is now very modern and nice, I felt the food was not up to such a high standard. For my main course I chose the monkfish, which was lovely, but for €28 I expected more than two small pieces of fish. Although I must say the service was very good. Another off putting thing was an American took off his shoes at a nearby table which I thought was very rude, he even went to the toilet in his stocking feet. We probably will go back to the Kingswood Country House but maybe this time I will try the bar food, as the new bar is lovely and relaxing.

Grabbed a quick meal in the bar at Kingswood last night. The entire place has been totally modernised and nicely so. Big deck area with decent tables for drinks/food outside. Cod and chucky chips were delicious and their toasted wraps make a substantial snack. Will be back!
