The Grasshopper Inn 3.0 star review: I ate here for the second time this month.I had the carvery the first time but it was nothing special,in fact it was quite bland. This time we went for the al carte menu. The food is good but not amazing. The steak on the stone is nice enough but I've had nicer. The chicken fajitas are tasty and there's plenty of eating in them althoughthey are very oily. The best part of the meal was the starters, the spicy chicken wings are really good. I would eat here again but I wouldn't be over excited about the prospect of it.

The Grasshopper Inn 3.5 star review: We went there for a meal on Tuesday evening, 2 adults + 1 child. Spacious and well laid out bar restaurant, good menu options and the early bird menu for €15.90 for two courses is good value for money. Their special offer "Steak on a Stone" seems to be a hit, 10 oz sirloin steak with all the sides for €15.00 though none of us went for it as not being too hungry. We had garlic mushroom and soup of the day for starters, child had chicken goujons and chips and a juice. We had thai green curry and chicken goujons for the mains. A glass of wine each for €4.95
Adults: €15.90 per person and child €6.95. We also had desserts, apple pie with ice-cream, and profiterole with cream, each for €4.95. The total bill came to €58.35
Food was reasonably good, atmosphere pleasant and quiet, and the server was polite and attentive girl.
We would recommend this place, and would like to return some time soon.
Thanks a lot ....

The Grasshopper Inn 5.0 star review: My first time in here on Friday. Didn't get anything very exciting - just chicken gougons and chips but it was yum!! Simple/plain food is always the best. Nice pub too - will come back next time I'm in the area!

The Grasshopper Inn 4.0 star review: Have been here many times for the carvery on Sunday. The place is always very busy. Food is good and the portions are huge. In the summer they have a band outside and its always a very good atmosphere. Have never had a la carte there but would certainly recommend the carvery.

The Grasshopper Inn 4.0 star review: Have eaten here on many occasions and find the quality of both the al la carte menu and the sunday carvery very good, if not one of the best around.

The Sunday Lunch is always spot on with generous portions and the service is prompt and friendly.

Some of the best dishes on a somewhat limited a la carte menu is the burger and the chicken curry. They also do the nicest pepper sauce around.

The prices are a little bit steep for what you get but the quality of the food is always consistent and enjoyable.

The Grasshopper Inn 4.0 star review: A group of us popped in here for a bite to eat. Service was good and waitress checked if everything was ok during the meal. Food was good and portions were huge. There is a good variety and choice on the menu and it's great value. Will definitely return.

The Grasshopper Inn 3.0 star review: I was here a bout a month ago with my husband. We live in the area and had driven past it many times so we decided to give it try. It didn't strike us as particularly clean (there were quite a few crumbs on our seats) but the atmosphere was good enough, thanks to the nice weather. We ordered nachos for starter: a huge portion that we could barely finish between the two of us! I then had a burger and the hubby has steak: they were both of decent quality but nothing too exciting.
I think it's a nice place to gribe a bite but definitely not fancy.

The Grasshopper Inn 5.0 star review: Extremely good value for the service and high quality food we received. We arrived early so the atmosphere wasn't great but this did not detract from the experience in the slightest.

Since visiting the first time we've been back on a few occasions, and have brought friends. We have never had bad food or service.

Great place to pop in when you don't feel like cooking in the evening or you just feel hungry when passing.

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
