I've been there loads of times, but last time was the day after mother's day. Four of us ordered off the early bird and we got dinner and dessert, with one of us getting just a main. The food was absolutely gorgeous. Piping hot and it came quick. My mam got the apple pie, which she was told was an individual pie, but it was very obvious that they had bought it in frozen and just defrosted it. Service was excellent and can't be faulted and I know that we'll be back again!

Great place for food and atmosphere. The carvery on a Sunday is the best in Clondalkin and their early bird deals are great value.

The food is always nice here but the menu is boring, they could do with more variety. Friendly staff but it IS just a pub that serves food. Don't go if you want a nice atmosphere while eating!

Excellent value for money and great service! The food was great and the portions were very generous. Full marks to the waitress on duty. Nice to have such a pleasant venue close to home. We will certainly go back.

Had dinner and drinks here last night with family. It was quiet inside but it seems a nice enough pub. Staff came straight over to offer us drinks. We ordered 3 starters and 4 mains including food from the early bird which runs up to 8pm. The early bird is great value for the food you get. Parents had been here before and enjoyed it and I found it really nice too. Portions are huge and food tastes great and is fresh. We tried the thai red curry, cajun chicken salad, cajun chicken burger and battered cod. Dinner and 2 rounds of drink for 4 people came in under 100 euro which we found great value. None of us could finish our mains and all really enjoyed the food. They also do a good deal of a pint of budweiser and a burger for 10 euro during premiership games which is great value considering the size and quality of the burger/chips. Will probably go back with friends for that offer

Went here last night to watch the football and have a bite to eat. They have a very good evening menu and a great value early bird @14.95 for starter&main or main&dessert with tea/coffee.As i was trying to decide what to have the waitress told me about the world cup special homemade burger and chips with salad & onion rings & pint of my choice €10.I didn't think she could be serious but went with it and was blowen away.First class chunck of mince beef on a big bap topped with onion rings homemade chips & pt of hineken.Top marks waterside value bet of the world cup see you for more world cup.

I am a regular customer to the Waterside, their carvery and evening food is always lovely. Their evening menu has great food at reasonable prices. It is always my first choice if I am with friends that aren't familiar with the area. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting and the staff are very helpful.

Was wary of trying the Waterside for food on a sunday afternoon on what happened to be Valentines day, but though quite full, the service was efficient and friendly, and the tables clean and readily available. The sunday lunch is a buffet affair, not exactly dirt cheap at around 11 or 12 euro for the main courses, but the helpings are very generous and the food is lovely! I had the home made burger with pepper sauce and it was delicious, served with mash and roast potatoes, several vegetables and stuffing. My companion happened to mention that he liked the fatty bits of meat that most other people won't eat, and the chef promptly loaded his plate with grizzley looking bits in addition to his serving.... I had to avoid looking at his plate, but apparently they were delicious! Desserts are reasonable, at around 3/4 euro. If only you had room. Actually it would be ideal if they offered half portions as an option, as you really do have to be hungry to do justice to the large servings. The staff are exceptionally friendly here and the lounge area is bright and cheerful.

Myself and my partner had the early bird and we both enjoyed it. The chicken wings starter were lovely. Big portions and at only 30 euro for 2 starters and 2 mains its great value for money and I will be back soon.

If you live in the Lucan/Clondalkin area or work in ParkWest, You really need to give this place a try. We've eaten here a few times and have just discovered their early bird menu! The early bird is excellent value-2 courses tea/coffee for €14.95-if you're gonna go for it, make sure you're hungry!! We usually get 1 starter, 2 mains and 1 dessert and we always have food over. Even if you don't fancy a huge portions, their regular menu is v good value-lots of mains bout €12. Most of their food is homemade and they have some lovely homemade desserts. Staff are friendly enough, depends on how busy they are! Def recommend!!

We have eaten here several times... very good value and very rarely anything wrong with our food. Nachos are mouth watering and presentation of food in general is good.Fillet steak is extremely good value (approx €22) and always a safe bet. Bar staff are not very attentive (sometimes) Carvery is usually good.. A worthwhile stop off if they leave their prices alone. Very good Chinese on second floor for extra choice.

Had dinner in this pub. My husband ate from the main menu and I ate from the early bird which was terrific value. Food was excellent, husband had the cod which was beautiful and fresh with a fab batter, I had garlic mushrooms to start with a great chicken kiev to follow. Service was very attentive . Their banoffi pie was really lovely. I would definitely visit here again.

The food is this place is really nice. I've had sunday lunch from the carvery a number of times & it's very tasty, not like the 'usual carvery slop' that is served in a lot of pubs around the city. The set menu is quite nice too, I ate from it one Sunday evening but unfortunately it tasted like the might have used some of the carvery leftovers, it was just after closing though!! They seem to have quite a nice variety of dishes on it which is always good, I like to have choices. To finish, this place is a nice local pub & is good for a cheap n' cheerful carvery dinner & I'm sure I will be back.

Ate here last Sunday evening with friends. The food was absolutely gorgeous! We got a large portion of ribs for starters which was very very nice. One of our party had the Bacon & Cheese burger which he said was really tasty. The rest of us had the fillet steaks which were perfectly cooked and were lovely. Their pepper sauce is the nicest I've tasted in ages and the portions are bigger than I've gotten in other places. 10/10 for this place

We visited this restaurant two weeks ago the food was ok the veg and chips were lovely but the chicken was very dried and over cooked, I had the southern fried chicken which had no flavour and was served with just mash I had to pay extra for chips and veg would not rush back to this place.

I ate here few weeks ago with my friend ...quite nice..I just hate the way places now give you a bowl for everything...a bowl wit salad a bowl wit coleslaw ..a bowl wit mushrooms and a bowl wit onions..I ordered the steak which was nice but come on restaurants what happened to putting onions and mushrooms on the plate with the steak and side salad on side...ended up there was hardly any room on table for all the extra bowls..and cost me alot more for all d extras....was not happy bout this..ribs for starter were lovely..
