Himalaya Tandoori 4.0 star review: My family and i would have been regulars here, but unfortunately have not visited since January. Service is always good. Food is as good, if not better than any decent indian around. if you catch them on the right day it can be excellent but restaurant needs to be more consistent. Chicken pakoras and boti lamb kebab for starters. any lamb main dishes are a favourite but staff will work with your own personal taste. good clean restaurant. nice atmosphere when busy.

Himalaya Tandoori 1.0 star review: went for the early bird after all the rave reviews i heard from people, not great, really disappointed, chicken tasted very cheap, if this is best indian in dublin i wouldnt bother going again, sauces were runny, not like nice thick rich sauces you get in curry houses in london, staff were very nice, just such a shame about the food.

Himalaya Tandoori 3.0 star review: Went for dinner here with my husband on Friday we booked a table for 6.45 they only open at 6 so the place was really cold. The restaurant is quite big so I'd say it ages awhile for the place to heat up. I do think they need to update the decor, so much could be done to give a more cosy feeling.
We had the €18 set menu which was good value, but ordered an extra starter as I wanted to try the butterflied Prawn and it was €6.99 and we got 1 prawn it was nice but not for the price, I wasn't impressed - other then that the food was nice - they had a special on a bottle of cono sur white which was €16 good value as the house special was €19.
I would return if I fancied an indian but I wouldn't be rushing back unless the place was made more welcoming, warmer feeling and maybe areas cornered off to make smaller areas instead of 1 large restaurant.
The staff were very nice couldn't fault them.

Himalaya Tandoori 4.5 star review: Had dinner here on Saturday with a few friends. The outside appearance isn't very inviting but inside is nice and warm - maybe the layout is a bit open but all clean and fresh. Food was delicious, I had onion bajee (?) it came flat rather than round but didn't take away from the taste, very nice! I had the chicken karai, never had it before, quite mild and very tasty. Everyone else were very happy with their meals - highly recommending everything. Waiters were lovely and attentive. All in all - tasty food, reasonable prices, nice staff - defo worth a visit!

Himalaya Tandoori 4.0 star review: Have been meaning to try this restaurant for a long time, so a friend and I went for sunday lunch recently. It looks rather offputting from the outside, and we suffered from being there so early on the Sunday as the place was just opening up and one of the members of staff was wielding some airfreshener with abandon - can't fault the intention, but the smell was chemically and cloying. The staff however were very friendly, helpful and professional and the surroundings were spotless. The sunday menu was rather limited but I picked the chicken korma which was lovely. The portion was a little on the small size, but I found that a good thing - there was plenty of food in the serving and the usual oversized offerings can be very offputting. Starter was rather strangely presented - although four choices were offered on the menu, our server informed us we would get a selection of all. My companion liked this system, but I have a more limited palatte and ended up giving half of my plate to him (no wonder he liked it). Dessert (vanilla icecream) and tea or coffee was included in the lunch special.

Himalaya Tandoori 4.0 star review: This is a favourite restaurant of my parents and they are regulars here, so lots of times myself & others have joined them. We usually go on a sunday evening which can be quiet enough, but usually there are a good few tables full. I never used to be a fan of indian, but only since ive tried several dishes (mainly here) have really started to enjoy it. The food here is gorgeous, very tasty but some dishes can be quite heavy. Ive tried a lot of the starters but usually try to get lighter options as I prefer my mains. The vegetable pakora is lovely. For mains ive tried a good few, all delicious, there is a lot to choose from, but my personal favourite is the tikka masala. The chicken & lamb they use are always so tender and gorgeous. The naan breads here are yummy too, particulary the peshwari one (has almonds on it). Ive always left here feeling nicely full and the staff are all so friendly & smiley, we always get a drink on the house too! Its a nice place for a family dinner or table for 2, quiet & intimate and has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Given that all my family bring my parents here for special occasions I know ill definitely be returning here many times and thats fine with me!

Himalaya Tandoori 3.0 star review: I have eatern here a number of times and I like the food. THe take out is not nearly as nice for some reason!! Myself and my partner came her for dinner at about 9 on a sunday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant. This has been the case everytime I have eaten here which is really strange and puts you off returning for a while as there is no atmosphere. Two other people came in a while after us. One thing I have always found disgustin about the place is the waiters all sniff alot and very loudly, big hearty sniffs. It's really rude. We both had a starter, main and a glass of houe wine. Our bill came to €58 without service, it's very expensive, way too expensive for the current times. I think I paid my last visit to this restaurant with the sniffing and the expense, it's not worth it

Himalaya Tandoori 1.0 star review: Not impressed at all. Got a take away here. Got the tandori chichen for 10 euro and all it was was 3-4 small pieces of chicken and a small few onions. Not much flavor or effort to it. My mate who Loves indian food got the chicken korma and again. not the nicest. Wouldnt go back.

Himalaya Tandoori 4.5 star review: Went for Sunday Lunch and we will be back again. The place was pretty empty but the food and staff made up for the lack of athmosphere.
The waiter was very friendly and very attentive of any special requirements. There was no problem making my food without garlic and teh food was top class, yum yum yum, actually now im getting hungry for indian again.

It was really great value for money.

I have tried most of the indians in Clondalkin and Tallaght and this is definitley the BEST.
