On arrival we were met by a friendly member of staff who sat us at a table where the pub goers underneath could see us and we could hear everything they were saying. The restaurant itself was nearly empty but that was fine but she could have sat us somewhere a bit better. I was asked what I wanted to drink by another member of staff who quickly went off without asking my partner what he wanted. My starter of Mussels and main of Monkfish was delicious but my partner wasn't impressed with his. Said his starter was reheated and his steak was half done to the way he likes it. We found aswell that the food came out very quick. Our liquer coffees were the nicest part of the menu. Price wise we found it reasonable. It was our first time there and our last.

Went here on mothers day. There was 7 of us and we all really enjoyed our meal, there was nothing we could complain about. Service was good, quality of food was excellent, portions were good sized and early bird is great value. Have been here a few times and will definitely return again, would recommend.

I used go here a lot in the evenings for the early bird, I live and work near the village so it used be a favourite place to go for any work event. I hadn't been been here in awhile until this occasion, I was really disappointed, I don't know if they changed chef, the menu is not as it used to be and the portions are smaller. Very disappointed

Went there last Saturday night. I was very impressed with the look of the place, clean and very nice, soft lighting and cool music. The menu was varied with a choice for all ages. A great family place to dine. Kids have there own menu. Main meal very good value at €5.25. The seafood chowder for starters was scrumptious. The 10oz Strip loin Sirloin Steak was delicious and done exactly the way I like it. The Meringue Nest with fresh cream and strawberries is a must. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with suggestions and knowledgeable about the food being served. I have never gotten bad food there and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a great meal. Excellent service and not too expensive.

Ate here on a Wednesday night. Ordered al la Carte. Food took about 25-30 minutes to arrive and when it did was very overcooked. Ordered the half duck which was 2 duck legs and the mixed grill. Both were very dry. Fries served with the grill were actually undercooked and instead of a spice had a sweet powder, possibly sugar, sprinkled over them. Bill came to 45 which included 1 glass of wine. Food has been good in the past but appears to have slipped significantly in recent months. Must be a change of chef and definitely a change in staff. Would not recommend this restaurant anymore which is disappointing as we have recommended it to people in the past.

Ate here thursday evening with 3 of my family and it was a little 50:50 (evident in review). Starters were nice, baby back ribs (little mean with sauce though).Ordered scallops and monkfish for mains which were an unholy disaster! Supposed to be pan fried but instead i got deep fried food, and taste wise it was overcooked and it was clear the scallops were cooked from frozen. Left me feeling quite ill afterwards. The others enjoyed their food albeit the fillet steak was a little cold. Atmoshphere was average (we were the only ones in the place), where we were seated was overlooking a noisy section of the pub. Service was quick and waitresses were friendly. Menu was varied, which was good but overall pretty average for the price we paid.

I have been here a couple of times and I would not recommend this place for those that would like something a bit different - it's not a fine dining experience. However for those that like good honest, wholesome food - ie. proper carvary, pub grub served to the table then this place is good value for money. I do bring family from the country here whom are not into anything flash and they enjoy it's traditional choices on the menu. It's really a hit or miss really & fantastice value -especially the early bird menu.

We come here every year for my mum's birthday and every year we are left happy. The food is nice, and well priced. The service is brilliant. The waiters are so friendly. I would recommend for family dinners. It doesn't seem to be cosy enough for a romantic meal for two however.

Went here on a saturday evening and the first thing that met us was the smell of the downstairs toilets as we entered the premises and climbed the stairs. Got over that as we knew they had seperate toliets at the back of the restaurant, but they weren't much better. Where left waiting to order for ages and eventually had to call a waiter as the manageress was too busy having a chat. When we ordered the food was good and well presented. Just a pity about the rest, I felt they have let things slide here. It was one of my favourite restaurants in the area so hope they get things back on track.

Decided to eat here on a whim one Saturday night and was very pleasantly surprised. For starters we had baby back ribs and spring rolls, which were both gorgeous. Large portion sizes too. For main course I had the rack of lamb which was fantastic. Presentation was very good and there was plenty on your plate. My boyfriend got the Thai curry, which was fantastic. He'd never usually get a Thai dish outside of a Thai restaurant but it really was gorgeous, he said one of the best he ever had. The restaurant was pretty quiet so there wasn't much of an atmosphere up there, but the fact that we were seated at the banister made up for it, as we could see down into the pub where a piano player & singer were performing (who were brilliant). We had a very friendly waiter and had no hiccups with our meal. Will definitely be paying Tournedos another visit.

Dined here on Friday evening following good reviews on this site. Nice decor and quiet enough so had high hopes. Service was ridiculously slow. His ribs to start with had no sauce that we could see but they did bring extra eventually when we asked. Another 30 mins wait for mains. His was completely wrong and by the time his correct dish came, I was finished mine. In fairness, food was quite good and good value but the service ruined the whole experience.

Really good atmosphere and staff. It's on the mezzanine of the pub so can be a bit noisy. But you'll forget the noise when you start eating. The food is really good, even if I would have preferred some veg instead of the mash served with all dishes. I'll go back there, definitely.

Excellent restaurant and I would highly recommend it. There is only one draw back - a must visit - BUT only go once or twice. On the third visit you may find that you've tasted it all before ... but do go. The staff are fantastic. Really helpful and deserve a medal for repeating how the menu works over and over and over again.Good!!!!

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends of ours who eat there on a regular basis. So we decided to give it a try, we booked a table for 8.30pm for 6 people when we got there the restaurant was quite busy we were seated to our table by a friendly hostess(she seemed to be the manager). WE must say the service and staff were excellent.. At around 10.30 we moved down stairs to the lounge were there was live piano music there was a guy playing and a girl singing must say it was very good the atmosphere was great.

I'd heard some really good things about this place-I wish I hadn't bother going. Went on A Sunday and there were 4 tables including ourselves. Had chicken wings for starters which were way too dry. The veg that came with the main course looked and smelt so bad I didn't bother trying it. Desert was basic also. Good Price, nice staff, bad food.

Returned today and was glad to find that they have made some changes to the early bird menu compared to when I was there 1 yr ago. For starter I had the seafood cocktail and bf had the chicken wings. Portions were still big as before. For mains I had the plaice and he had the pork chop. No complaints. We then had strawberry cheesecake & fruit crumble for dessert. Only complaint is that the fruit crumble was soggy, felt like it has been left there for ages. Cheesecake was big but a bit tasteless. Nevertheless they were nicely presented. The friendly staff made lots of difference and we enjoyed our time there. Will be back.

Cramped was my overall feeling. We went as a group of four and our table was quite tight. You felt it was a hassle to go to the toilet which is downstairs. The food was nice, nothing special though. The menu was varied and we all had a different main.

Tried this place out about a year ago for the early bird and was not impressed, greasy chips, melted ice-cream. I was talked into going for a meal on Friday as a group of four. I can happily say this time was a lot better. The menu is quite wide with specials of the day included. All were happy with the food apart from the Mississippi mud pudding. Very strange and not that appealing.

The bad smell entering the downstairs sets the scene, I went on a Friday night with my wife, when this place opened up it was all the rage, it has gone considerably downhill, starters were just ok but both main courses were not up to scratch, lots of little things wrong; small things like; The fish cakes were very dry The t-bone was tough The shallots just not up to scratch The second portion of veg arrived very late Small portion of chips (to be divided between us) French fried onions ordered but did not arrive with meal, they managed to get on the bill, when I pointed this out they were removed from the bill without even a “sorry about that” Lumps of ice in the ice-cream of the Knickerbocker-glory, the fruit at the bottom of this was also still frozen....just made for a bad night, sent a letter after but guess what ..no reply...one to avoid.

WOW! What a place. Went there last Saturday evening the place was full to capacity. We had to wait about ten minutes for our table but we didn't mind it gave us a chance to have a drink down stairs first. The restaurant was recommended to us by some friends and it did not disappoint, from the food quality to the efficient friendly service and reasonable prices. An enjoyable evening was had by all, and topped off by some beautiful piano music and singing in the lounge below. Will definitely be back soon. Beware of parking behind the premises it is 24 hr pay and display. Lucky we saw the notice or it would have been an expensive evening as we noticed 2 cars clamped beside us.

They have updated their early bird menu and the gas thing is that the old menu was nicer. Was there tonight with my mam and sisters, I ordered the cajun Haddock for main - but before I ordered I asked were they any bones in it, the Waitress assured me that there wouldn't be... but there were...loads actually. Everyone else enjoyed theirs - so overall.. not the worst.

They do a great early bird menu, but I wish they would update the menu - the starters are from the 1970's! (soup, melon, prawn cocktail, garlic mushrooms, spring roll etc). But overall, it can't be beaten for value & location.

Had a lovely early bird meal there. Well priced, lovely food, nearly too large portions(I like to finish my portions but was unable to). One negative for me was the heat in the restaurant. I actually had to leave between courses and stand outside to get some air as I started to get itchy and sweaty. Also the smell from the gent's toilets when you walk in is not a good first impression. However on the whole, I couldn't fault the food and it's value for money.

The early bird menu was fantastic and great value. We nipped in as a family. There were eight of us, and we really enjoyed our meals, and will definitely be going back. It is a handy local restaurant, the decor is attractive, the choice extensive, and I notice they welcome children which is a great plus for myself and my husband, as so many places do not cater towards the kids these days. All in all, a very satisfied customer.

A group o f six of us had the Sunday early bird lunch here recently, the starters went down well and were very taste but the main course was not quite the same. The veg was tasteless and the beef was fatty. Its great value for an early bird @ €15.95 per person but it will be sometime before I go back.

I’ve eaten here three times and every time was the same. It all started well with the starters being very tasty for both me and my partner. And then arrived the mains; the potatoes and vegetables were absolutely tasteless so much so that if you closed your eyes it'd be hard to distinguish what you were eating. It’s beyond my understanding how somebody would go about doing this to food. The first time I left I decided to give it another chance but was the same again and then after a few months I’d heard a few people giving it good reviews so gave it one last chance but it was obviously people who didn't know what they're talking about when it comes to good food and are used to eating pub grub. This one's a definite no no for me and I’d advise anyone else who respects their taste buds to do the same.

Was here Monday evening with my bf. Had the soup of the day for starters and we were shocked when we got a very small and very hard roll of bread on the side of a huge plate. We asked for another roll of bread and got an even smaller and harder bread. It was quite disappointing. We were happier with the main courses. The Fish Special of the day was lovely and the T Bone Steak too, but the price of 21.50 euro for the 16 oz steak wasn't that worth it coz of the portion. I suggest just getting the 10 oz. Overall price wasn't that bad. Food was alright. And the service was just fine. But we won't be going back there anytime soon.

Discovered this restaurant 6 months ago and have been going back at least once a month for the early bird menu. Great value for 16.95Euro(4 courses). Starters were very generous portion so are the main courses and deserts. Have tried basically everything on the menu (early bird) would recommend fried chicken wings, seafood chowder, seafood cocktail, etc. chocolate cake for desert has always been my choice but sometimes can been a bit dry (left out for too long). Very nice atmosphere and friendly staffs. Will be going back soon!

I was in Tournedos last night for a truly grim culinary experience. The restaurant was packed when I arrived at 20:00. This appeared to be a good sign, but I later discovered that this was the draw of the cheap early bird menu. By 21:00 the place was virtually empty. The dining space is pleasant and the staff were friendly. We were handed a menu that contained dishes from all over the world, which is rarely a good sign. As the restaurant is called Tournedos and the menu has a section dedicated to steaks, I opted for this. The steak was forgettable, the sauce rancid and the lumpy, crusty mash ... well, enough said. The obvious draw is for the generous portions, but you need to check your taste buds in at the door.

Only ever go here for the early bird menu as you get loads for you money. Outside that, the restaurant if fairly costly. Very good location though and really nice staff

I love Tournedos for the quality of food, the value for money and the service. The early bird menu is terrific, the presentation of the chicken wings in an edible basket and the prawn cocktail looks beautiful, then there’s a great selection of mains and good desserts. We ate there before Christmas with a group of eight, and not one had a complaint. It was around the time of my birthday, and the waitress brought out a birthday cake (which one of my friends had organised) then she took a Polaroid of myself and my husband and presented it to me in a birthday card! How about that for a nice touch. We will continue to go to Tournedos, where else would you get a great meal for two for less than e40?

We were happy to get a reservation for the time we asked for, 8pm on a Saturday but after eating there we know why, we were very disappointed with this restaurant. Within about 3 minutes of ordering we received the first course, not a good sign especially when you order cannelloni. Totally agree with Boavista's comments, our 2 starters were simply reheated, Cannelloni and my partner's starter, Mushrooms and Chicken wings. The main courses' were mediocre, the Poussin of Chicken was below restaurant standard, we felt we could have cooked similar ourselves at home, it was nothing special. The Monkfish was well cooked but the Pernod sauce was too overpowering and half way through I didn’t want to taste any more Pernod. Chips which were included in the price were just frozen chips, we can cook them ourselves anytime at home. We are normally big dessert fans but because of the quality of the first 2 courses we decided to not risk it and buy a tub of ice cream in the local shop instead. The meal cost us €70 which is reasonable enough and includes 2 half bottles of wine but we feel we did not get value for money in this restaurant.

I've eaten here quite a few times and have also recommended this place to friends. The waiters were very efficient and the food was tasty. My wife is partial to the Beef Wellington. All in all, good service & good food reasonably priced!

Arrived in this restaurant with high hopes. Started off with no jackets taken - not a biggie but always a nice arrival touch. Looked at menu and plenty to choose from. I went for mushrooms and chicken wings, my wife went for prawn cocktail. All jokes aside, the starters appeared within 2 minutes. Not impressed. Prawn cocktail was taken straight from fridge as brown bread was ice cold, mushrooms and wings were simply re-heated - say no more. For mains I got a 16 oz t-bone, and my wife got the 10oz fillet. Served with fries - vegetables are all extras! Steaks were mediocre - nothing to write home about - sauté mushrooms and onion rings were tasty. I think our mains were ruined because of the starters. Finished with some ice cream - hard to get it wrong. Bill was 130 eur - including a 25 eur bottle of wine. All in all, not impressed. Will not be re-visiting. This day and age, re-heating is not on - at least try and delay the starters so as not to make it so obvious.

A colleague from work has being going to this restaurant since the opening. So I decide to check it out. The staff are very friendly and very professional. Portions are quire large in here so don’t feel like you have to order extras. They have a great early bird menu for around 17 euro. If you’re in Blanchardstown, check it out!
