Il Vicoletto 5.0 star review: I really like that this is a small intimate restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. This is my fourth visit in as many months and it's delivered every time! I visited with five family members and we had a variety of starters and main courses (try as we might, we were unable to find room for desserts!). The bruschetta, the beef, the sea bass, the ragu, the pasta - all really tasty. All complemented with good and reasonably priced wine.
I even get to practice my mangled Italian without being laughed out of the place.
Very much a hidden gem.

Il Vicoletto 4.5 star review: I simply cannot recommend this place enough! I've been here twice now and have not been disappointed on either occasion. The staff are wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable. They have no trouble in recommending delicious wines and explaining the dishes in minute detail. The food is so authentically Italian, and that is speaking as someone who lived there for a long period of time. Having a meal here sends me right back to Rome! One minor gripe would be that on both occasions that I dined here the table was not ready despite a booking being made well in advance. However, it wasn't too much hassle to go next door and have a quick drink to kill the time! I will definitely be back here and will be recommending it to my friends!

Il Vicoletto 5.0 star review: Everything was excellent! Five of us chose from the set menu. Calamari - the biggest ever seen, aubergine - fantastic, Pate- very good and the mushrooms - good. Mains Veal - scrumptious, Fish -- fantastic, chicken - full of flavour. Desserts were Panacotta, Pear and Chocolate fondant - all to die for!
Definitely coming here again. Very good value, great service and fantastic food!

Il Vicoletto 4.0 star review: Heard nice reviews of this restaurant and we had a lovely afternoon. However I do think it is not great value for lunch. I did not see a lunch menu on offer only early bird. Our bill was 90 euro and that was for 3 starters 3 mains with 3 glasses of wine and a dessert. We enjoyed the food. The calamari with the sweet and sour was too sweet for me but all in all a nice restaurant that I will visit perhaps at night next time. Loved the seabass fillet and great selection of wine. Staff were really friendly.

Il Vicoletto 5.0 star review: I have only good things to say about this place! This service is excellent, the food is authentic Italian and the atmosphere is lovely - feels like you're tucked away down a Rome street, not temple bar! It really is a gem. Can't say enough good about the staff!

Il Vicoletto 5.0 star review: Lovely cosy, comfortable on a chilly night in May! Really enjoyed our visit - lovely food, great service and plenty of time to eat and digest our food! Spicy prawns, baked aubergine, rib-eye steak and chicken with mushrooms - all fab! We will definitely be returning!

Il Vicoletto 4.5 star review: This is actually 2 reviews in1 as visited Saturday the 12th and also weekend previous. It is so v. nice to be able to write a positive review actually advising people to visit. Both nights spot on. Hubby's birthday on the 1st visit. He had the "new" spicy prawns. And they certainly did what they said on the tin. Spicy and full of garlic and v. much enjoyed. I had the calamari (a house special) and explained in detail to me. Soaked in milk overnight so tender and delish. Not a rubber band in sight. Mr. Boop had the steak, fine, nice but just steak. But my veal, yum. So v.v. Italian. (The one on the main menu). So full but shared the choc fondent and 2 coffees. Next visit with 2 friends. Even better than 1st time. Again I had calamari (but went with the set menu), hubby had the mixed seafood, friends choices of 1 pate and 1 spicy prawns. All lovely. This time I had the veal on set menu, in lemon and white wine. Beautiful. 2 had the lamb cutlets and 1 the chicken. All empty plates. All the time service is attentive but not in your face. V. friendly and helpful waiters. We shared 2 choc fondents and coffees. We were then offered choice of Italian drink on house. A lovely night, lovely food and service and can't wait for my next visit. My only slight niggle would be that wines are quite expensive and I would like a couple of "not so expensive" ones to chose from and also their steak is a little expensive for what it is. But rest of menu great especially the "set menu".

Il Vicoletto 4.0 star review: Meant to come here for ages and finally did last Sunday...the restaurant itself is really cosy and cute! Atmosphere was good, nice crowd for a Sunday evening.
Service was great - very friendly.
Had the bruschetta for starters - and wow, it was the nicest one I've ever had! Just divine.

For mains I had the linguine with clams, which was also gorgeous...so tasty, and had the cheeses for dessert.

I really enjoyed here, and will most definitely be back!

Il Vicoletto 5.0 star review: Lovely small restaurant giving authentic Italian dining experience. I visited this restaurant with a group of 10 clients for lunch. What I didn't realise is that they opened especially for us, so restaurant was quiet as a result. Nonetheless it was a superb experience with extremely friendly staff, attentive to our needs and lovely to chat with. The food was excellent – good fresh ingredients, very good value working from their dinner menu (gave us a discount on that for lunch), excellent recommendations on wine (the waiter seemed to be an expert on Italian wines – he said that they also run wine tasting evenings) and overall a very satisfied group of people.

Il Vicoletto 5.0 star review: My friend has been going on about this place for about a year. And I only got around to trying it. It certainly lived up to my expectations. For starter I had the brushetta, which was lovely and fresh. The pasta for main was probably the best pasta I have ever had. Then the chocolate fondant was amazing. The service is perfect, the staff are wonderful. I would have no problems in recommending this restaurant to anyone looking for good food in a beautiful romantic setting. I'm looking forward to going back!
