Delighted to see the 10 euro menu is back having made a brief disappearance over the festive season. For starters we had some garlic mushrooms which were really tasty but I thought a portion of 4 a little small. I had my usual falaffel burger which I always enjoy and my friend had the BBQ which I was told was very tasty. I think the 10 euro deal is really good value and will definitely avail of it again in the future.

visted here yesterday on the way home.spotted there xmas menu in the window so thought id check out, The main says a choice of starters main dessert and tea or coffee. Went for the camembert to start I cant understand why the chef even sent it out it was so over cooked was afraid to put my knife into it incase it flew across the floor, did get to taste bit of cheese it was ok,told the waiter that i thought it was overdone silly move as when i got my burger the bun was burnt to bits!!! the choice for dessert was ice cream or cheesecake no cheesecake so had a lovely tub of ben and gerrys icecream. when i ordered coffee i was told it wasnt included in menu would be two euro extra no thanks, and this should be printed on the menu. GOURMET burger I dont think so.

My brother and myself went for a quick bite to eat here today. We decided to share a burger (cajun) and chicken wings. There was plenty in that for two. the wings were excellent and very close to elephant and castle wings for three quarters of the price. He had a milkshake and I had a sparkling water. Our total bill was 24 euro.really great value for money! Will return again :)

Visited here on Sunday before a trip down the country. Food was fab - we both had chicken burgers as our main. Was a great deal on with starter, burger and drink for 9 euro which was well worth it as burgers were very tasty and filling. We also got chicken as a starter and a portion chips to share which were lovely. And with free refills on soft drinks and a great atmosphere I will definately be back.

Got the buy one get one free offer here last night. I had a veg and camembert burger, while my friend had the cajun beef burger. They were massive!! We shared a side order of chips which were absolutely gorgeous!! I admit i wouldn't have considered going here without the vouchers, but now i've been converted - they have a fantastic range to suit all tastes, and you can even get the burger without the bun (you get extra salad instead). They regularly have other great deals on as well so its fantastic value for a meal.

Great value for money. On Monday they do a fantastic 5euro burger deal! The chips are sprinkled with tasty toasted rosemary and the garlic dip is yum. They often do meal deals for 10euro. Nice atmosphere, cool location and friendly staff!

Have been here on many occassions. Love, love, love the food, its always consistently good, really fresh and has an authentic feel to it. Love the new fries (homemade with rosemary-just yum) I seem to get the cajun burger most regularly-really good cajun mayo and relish. My boyfriend also loves it and is happy that beer is available too!!!!

I've been to GBK a number of times, and the food is always consistently good. I usually get the puy lentil veggie burger. All of GBK's veggie burgers are extremely substantial, which sets them apart from other burger joints that tend to skimp on the content when it comes to veggie burgers. The atmosphere at this restaurant is fine, it is always clean and when it isn't too crowded it can be a very nice place, but it isn't particularly comfortable, and when there is a crowd it can feel cramped and noisy. They usually have a deal on, either 1/2 price burgers for lunch, or a voucher that can be used for dinner during the week. When one avails of these deals GBK is quite reasonably priced, otherwise it is rather expensive at around 10 euro per burger.

Very sneaky special offer; A burger is €6, fries €3 and drinks €2 from the normal menu, so how does €9.99 for all three represent any kind of special offer?? Saving a euro is hardly worth it.

I went here recently for lunch with a friend. We were lured in with the 9.99€ deal. I was very disapointed that the only burger you can choose for that deal is the plain burger (I feel it defeats the purpose of going to gourmet burger if you just get the plain...). I ended up ordering the Garlic burger and my friend the pesteralla chicken. We split fries. While the burger was good, the garlic mayo that was on the burger could be found in any pub along the quays. While I will return, I don't think I will be rushing back. They have had much better burger deals in the past and I would be more drawn to that then their current deal. The service was pretty good, but because it was so quiet, they seemed to forget we were there and it took a while to get their attention. I found the place a little cold and it may have been just that day, but it seemed full of unhappy people still wearing their coats. Two burgers, fries and a soda came to 22€ for the two of us... I would go back, but I would want a slightly better deal. The burger can come to up to 10€ and that is all you get. At other places in Temple bar, you can get fries with that for only a euro or so more.

Had a student card that does two for one on burgers monday to friday so great value for money. My girlfriends a vegetarian and was pleasantly suprised with the amount of choices on the menu. Bit cramped but great for a quick bite. Burgers prehaps on the greasy side.

I visted the gbk last night and found the food to be quite nice. I did however find it to be somewhat over priced and found the service to be incredibly slow. This was particularly bothersome as the restaurant wasn't in the slightest bit busy.

Went there with a group of friends as I have always passed by this place in temple bar but actually never had the chance to eat there. Onion rings as starter were quite good portion, crunchy taste and well fried. My Habanero burger was indeed quite spicy but the ingredients were pretty fresh and the meat tasted good. Service was friendly as well. A nice alternative to fast food and pub food. Reasonably priced for what you get.

i came here with 2 for 1 vouchers. I am a vegetarian and usually find it hard to find options in a menu, but here I had the choice of at least 5 different burgers. I had the mushroom and feta burger which was delicious! I also had the oreo milkshake which was amazing too. The chips were also good. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again and recommend very highly!

This time I went for the habanero burger. It was really good, clearly my favorite. The service was fast but I had to wait a bit for the bill at the end... no big deal and clearly a better deal than the classic fast food.

I stopped here for a quick bite on a friday night before heading to te movie. We were lucky and got a table outside. We ordered a habanero burger and a chorizo burger which were very good. We also shared a portion of fries and a large coke. This is a very good value place to eat with all the vouchers you can get from their website.

My burger cravings and the fiver voucher drew me back to this famous franchise.Feeling rather washed out of beef-I went straight for the chicken selection. For a peculiar reason I went for the camembert chicken with cranberry sauce.I must mentioned my disappointment that all of their chicken burgers are breaded and deep fried making them less attractive.A choice of grilled should be an option.Anyways, starving-i scoffed down most of my burger but found it a tad sweet over savoury because of the generous portions of cranberry despite having had this burger several times in the past.Meanwhile my mate enjoyed every bit of his burger.Kudos for him.Atmosphere was sublimed.Relatively speaking, the other branch off Grafton street has a nicer buzz.

Was here for lunch today. Their deals are €5 just for the classic beef, classic chicken or falafel. Alternatively free portion of chips with every burger from 5-7pm. I opted for the habernaro which comes with topped with salad, mozzeralla and a spicy mexican sauce. I think the burgers here are very tasty, probably the best out around. I feel their prices are a bit high as the normal price for a typical burger (outside of offer times) would be from E6 - E10, plus fries on top of that....but the burgers are good.

Enjoyed a Kiwi and Chorizo burger on Friday evening. We got the fiver deal which was great value. It strikes me as a bit cheeky charging extra for chips – apart from McDonald’s it must be the only burger in Dublin that comes without chips. The Kiwi burger is so big you’d need to be a pelican if you’re going to try and pick it up and put it in your mouth. I had to disassemble it to eat it, but it was very tasty. The terrace outside is great on a warm day, but I was a bit shocked by the violence and drunkenness I witnessed in the square. Obviously that’s not the fault of the restaurant, but the streets seem pretty bawdy around there. Friendly efficient service, although they did forget the onions rings.

Excellent value for money! I always either get the 5 euro burger offer or the 9.99 offer that comes with fries and a drink. You really can't beat the prices and the food is really good. The only thing i'd have to say is that their beef burgers are only average but their chicken burgers are probably the best i've had in Dublin! (The camembert and crandberry one I think is the best.) Also they are always very busy at lunch hour and sometime there can be quite a long wait so if you only have an hour off from work/ college by the time you get your burger you'll end up having to inhale it as you try get back in time! You really need to have a good amount of time to sit down in GBK to get to enjoy your meal if you're going at lunch time.

Went there yesterday for the first time with two teenagers who are fond of their burgers. I got the bacon and cheese and they each had the BBQ. I thought that the burger was very tasty and that it was of a generous size. The only small complaint I would have was that the fries were over done and the dips (Chilli, BBQ etc) were bland. The offer between 2 and 5, Mon to Fri for any burger at €5.00 is hard to beat and at under €50.00 for 3 adults with drinks and a starter is good value.

This was my second time eating in this particular GBK. I decided to go for one of the vegetarian options and my companion had the regular cheese burger. My falafel burger was delicious, the sauces that came with it really added to the taste. Likewise the regular cheese burger was cooked to perfection. Both burgers were accompanied by a simple salad, the huge plus to this salad was the fact that it was freshly prepared. It was obvious that the lettuce leaves were from a head of lettuce and not a packet. This little detail made all the difference. It seems to be possible to please everyone here as you can have a burger with out the bun, or any of the other ingredients you may not like. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not mad about the decor inside, reminds me of a cheap cafeteria.

At the moment the best burger in town so far: very tasty, well presented, wide choice and good value. Service is quick enough and polite. In the one in Temple bar some customers can be very loud.

I am so happy GBK has come to Ireland. The 5 euro burger deal before 5pm is fantastic, but it can be a little pricey after this. The burgers are fantastic (their veggie camembert option is a must) but the fries can be a bit oily. The staff are always friendly, at busy times service can be a bit slow but no major complaints. I'm always too full to opt for dessert. A good spot for a quick bite before hitting town or during a shopping spree.

Went here yesterday to take advantage of their current offer, 9.99 any burger, any drink. I had cajun, OH had Garlic Mayo. Took over 10 minutes to be served - there were two waiting staff and only 4 tables occupied, so this is quite bad for a burger joint. No pleasantries at all with the waitress, and the waiter was trying harder but clearly not happy. When a friend came to join us he was not acknowledged and we had to get a waiter to come to us to serve him. They did - then didnt deliver his drink. After 15 minutes we asked the waiter if he could change the drink - he was surprised we hadn't got it. Can't understand how he didn't notice - at this point only 5 tables occupied in a very open plan design! The waiting and kitchen staff could be hard chatting behind a pillar while all the tables waited for service. So, how was the food? Meat definitely overcooked - considering they say it's all cooked medium. good fresh ingredients and good price for drink and burger. Milkshake was chocolate and made with ice cream, so pretty good. When we were leaving there was a new member of staff in, who was cleaning tables, greeting people, and far more pleasant.

Popped in here for lunch last Saturday and overall I was impressed and would return. I had the small satay beef burger and my boyfriend had the habanero, both of which went down well. I have been to a number of gourmet burger places around Dublin and found the burgers in GBK to be nearly on par with the competition, however the chips are nowhere near as nice. Price is not too bad, however they have stopped doing their €5 lunchtime burger offers, which always attracted a crowd.

Meet my mother for lunch here last week and had an okay lunch. Nothing spectular but very little to compain about also. I cant even remember the name of the burger I had but the spicy sauce wad delicious. The sides of fries were plentyful and hot. Coke was flat but replaced without fuss. Service was fine and time wise we we in and out within the hour. Price was somthing like a tenner each which for what we got was great value, Would I return? Prob going again today!!!

Located right in Temple Bar, I went there to try out their Mexican burger. It was really tasty, although a little messy (but I'm not complaining!). The best part of the dinner may have been the cajun chicken pieces, which come with a delicious dipping sauce. I think the sauce was a combination of cream cheese and sweet and sour sauce, but regardless it tasted great! Another big plus, which may seem a little basic, is the serving size of a Coke. Rather than just a small cup at a high price, they actually give you a large glass. Service was good and the place looked nice.

All in all a good value lunch. €5 for all burgers- what more do you want from Gourmet Burger!? Burgers are massive, so fries on the side really aren't necessary- although the blue cheese mayo they come with is gorgeous. Can highly recommend the avocado and bacon burger. Service was alright considering the place was packed, and they only seemd to have one bar man / waiter. Probably not the right place if you are in a hurry...

I think this place is very overpriced. The burgers are overfilled with lettuce, onion and tomato to make them look bigger but while theyre tasty they are definitely not worthy of their price tag. Some of them are close to 12 euro and the price doesn''t even include chips. I definitely won't be returning.

Great value for lunch here with all burgers 5 euro, you need to order a side but one side between two is plenty. Had the chicken burger and my companion had a spicy beef burgere, we were both really happy with our meals and will probably be back for lunch again.

This is a very nice spot in Temple Bar for a good burger. Good atmosphere in the place, always seems to be packed when we were there. Can also eat outside on the square if you so wish. Food and service are good, and consistent. One of our favorite places to eat out.

Went in for lunch here when they were doing their 'Any Burger for €5' deal. Great deal - would probably not go back to spend full price on a burger. It was delicious and worth a fiver but no more. The service was also not great at all, we were waiting nearly 20 minutes to order - it was busy but not that busy. Have heard that some of the other restaurants have better service!

I visited here on a recent Sunday. The restaurant was half full and all vacant tables had yet to be cleared of dirty plates..etc. Decided to give it a go as I had heard good things about the burgers. I ordered the kiwi burger and a glass of white wine. 20 minutes late my wine still had not arrived, there seemed to be only one waitress on duty. I actually spotted my white wine waiting on a counter and I had to call over the waitress and point over to my wine. Another 10 minutes later and the food arrived. Burger was good but not amazing, so I was a bit disappointed. The bad service was my main issue here though, especially as it wasn't particularly busy. I don't think I'll be rushing back..

after a hard afternoon shopping myself and my best buddy decided to treat ourselves, we heard it was a great place so we decided to give it a go. you cant go wrong with this place, a huge for 5 euro.... it was the best burger i ever tasted and they had a great combination of sauces on the side and with the burger. please try the onion rings there are fab. the staff are friendly and the only down fall was the atmosphere, it was not cosy and there was a draft coming from the window at the table we were at. the milkshakes were ok, i got choclate and tasted more like coffee. other than that if you want a great burger i would highly recommend it. I will be back jeanseb dublin

This is one of my favourite places to eat! I am not a fan of fast-food chain, but this is the best place to enjoy a healthier delicious burger! The choice of original burgers is great, with vegetarian options a nice touch, and their garlic mayo is fabulous. All for a very decent price. A must-visit and revisit again!

visited GBK a 2nd time after a recent positive experience. The food was still great, and the €5 burger offer is a bargain. But now I see what people mean about the slow service. We were 30 minutes waiting on our burgers, though they staff did let us know we would be and brought our chips out first to keep us going. Overall, still recommend it, but not if you are in a hurry to get back to the office - we were an hour in there in total. Service is poor, not due to the staff, but due to the lack of them

The €5 deal is great - all burgers are €5 before 5pm. My burger was very nice. Very well cooked and came with lovely relish and avocado. My girlfriend had a mango chilli burger that she was very happy with too. However, I would not be prepared to pay the full price after 5pm. It's just too much money for a burger.

Appalling. What you save in money you spend in wasted time. As far as burgers go, they're average, but not worth the wait. €5 for any burger seems like great value, but only so if you can afford to waste at least 45 minutes to an hour waiting for it because neither the kitchen nor the waiting staff can deal with business that such a deal attracts. Having waited 50 minutes for the no-show lunch that I ordered, I left hungry in order to return back to work on time. I, for one, will not return.

We dropped in for a quick lunch today, well I had hoped for it to be quick. Unfortunatley we barely made it out within the hour. We ordered almost as soon as we sat down and the drinks arrived promptly. To be fair the place was jam packed with people. We had a lovely cajun burger with a nice sweet relish and a side of chips. The chips came with salt on them already on them which I wasn't so keen on. Overall, great value as we we able to avail of the €5 burger. I thought €3.65 for chips was a bit steep though.

After finally finding the restaurant(on the GBK website the place wasn't located correctly)me and my boyfriend went in for dinner. The staff were very nice, although when they asked us for ID they didn't do it discreetly, which kind of embarrassed us.We both picked Cheese Burgers, and shared chips. We were waiting ages even thought the place wasn't that packed. When we finally got our food,I wasn't that impressed.Burgers were burnt, and the portion of chips was smaller than usual. It was too dear for what we got("burgers,1 portion of chips,1 beer and 1 small glass white wine)Won't be going back.

I went to this restaurant midweek and was not overly impressed. The burger was fine but nothing to rave about and definitely not worth the price. There are so many of these gourmet burger type restaurants in Dublin now that this one needs to bring something different to its menu and perhaps bring down the prices. Could be a great location in the heart of Temple Bar but the lay out of the restaurant leads to an almost isolated feel at some tables.

i visited this resturant a few days ago, i must say i was very impressed! we checked out an ecomnic place to have some food in town on this site a few day's previous (finally got a babysiter) the food was great i was just expecting a big burger but it was absoultly delicious! i had a greek lamb it was so juicy and filling! the fries were proper big cut chips and there sour cream and sweet chillie sauce was amazing! the staff were great very attentive and it felt like everyone said good bye apart from the cheff, i felt very cared for and the waiter made some good suggestions about the menu will definatly be going back next time i get a baby sitter!!

I used to be a huge fan of GBK, however, I have been disappointed too many times to go back (maybe I'll be tempted to try a different location in the future). The food is too hit and miss and the staff friendly but too slow and unapologetic.

Popped in here after work on my way to the Olympia. I wasn't overly impressed and I don't think I'd be rushing back. Though packed outside in the square there wasn't many people inside. They tried to seat us in a squashed corner table but we asked to be moved. Service was very slow. The burgers were huge with too much lettuce and sauce, I had to make some adjustments to get it ready to eat with my hands. My partner went with a knife and fork. Overall our appetites were satisfied but it was pricy for what we got. Would have preferred a Big Mac.

The food was ok but totally not worth the wait or the price charged! The burgers are only ok and are not any nicer than regular fast food outlets the only difference is they are served with relish instead of Ketchup!! I wouldn't be going back in a hurry!

Had a absolutely horrible experience at Gourmet Burger. Firstly the restaurant was freezing cold with both doors wide open. Then, myself and two friends were left waiting for our order of three junior burgers and two sides of fries for over an hour. After complaining about the delay we were offered the fries and a side of chicken wings free as an apology. After another 10 minuets, we were served one of the smallest portions of chicken wings I have ever seen. Another 15 mins then went by until we got out original order. When we eventually got our bill they had charged us for the chicken wings. After complaining again we were left waiting, until eventually the manager came in and said all she could do was take the chicken wings and lentil burger off the bill. No real apology was given for either the ridiculous delays or the state of the food. I would never go to gourmet burger again!

I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend roughly around the time that it opened. Unfortunately we were not impressed - we were left standing waiting for a table for a good 5mins even though there were tables free. The burgers are ridiculously priced considering you do not get a side of fries or salad included. We had really high expectations as you would when you are paying that amount for a burger in a "burger only" restaurant, however I found the burger to be very bland, nothing amazing at all. The chips I had ordered were just frozen chips and we were really hoping for some home made chunky ones. Overall very disappointing.

Really enjoyed my burger but don't know why they have to put relish on all the burgers and they put far too much lettuce on it, but that can easily be removed. i ordered the onion rings they were a bit tasteless and the batter just falls off.

I got those free vouchers in a sunday news paper and theyw ere about to run out so I went along with a friend of mine to use it. We decided to go with a classic burger each and a portion of chips. I have eaten in a couple of the Gourmet Burger Kitchens in Dublin and so know what the food is like, the burgers are amazing, the chicken with camberet is fab and the chips are nice and chunky. However this time round in teh Temple Bar outlet I found the service to be seriously lacking. The place was not even half full but teh waitress still came over to take our plates away even though I was still picking at the chips that were left. Then as we were finishing our drinks the waiter came over and took the voucher that was sitting on the table to work out the bill for us, talk about hurring us out the door!! The food si great but maybe try a different outlet.

Why is it that the only burger place in the universe that seems to understands the number 1 golden irrefutable law of all burgers everywhere, is the big yellow 'M'? This law, of course, is: THE BURGER HAS TO BE ABLE TO FIT IN YOUR MOUTH SO YOU CAN TAKE A BITE WITHOUT IT SPILLING ALL OVER YOU. Apart from this qualm (also shared with 99% of places I've ever had a burger in) the service in GBK was good, food tasty and varied, and an overall messily enjoyable experience.

Was asked 3 times by 3 different waiters if they could help me as I was waiting for my companion. The bench I was sitting on had little pieces of a burger bun on it and the ketchup container was so greasy that I had to ask the staff to clean it. Our cutlery did not arrive till after we got our food and a glass of water we ordered never came (funny enough there was no problem in getting drinks we were paying for). The food was nice and so were the chips but it would be a bit much to call the burgers 'gourmet'.

I've been here a few times and overall its nice but pretty average. The chicken burger is good and I really like the relish they have, I ordered the garlic mayo burger and I didn't really like that they put too much sauce on it, they should give it to you on the side. The service is usually good but last time they were pretty bad, they forgot the fries and by the time they brought them down the burgers were already eaten

Top class burgers! Went there for a quick bite with my boyfriend as he was craving for a burger but was sick of cheap rubber you can't even call a burger! One of his friends told us this is the place to go and he was right. We got a table outside and the atmosphere was great! I ordered a Mexican burger with side of chips and Mark ordered Satay Burger with Homeslow which was amazing! Homeslow is served without mayo which was great, very refreshing. Both burgers were delicious. Can't wait to go back.

We went on a Thursday after work - there was a group of about 10-12. I was sitting near the door & it was freezing so try to get a table away from there if you can. The service wasnt amazing but they were packed so its understandable. The burgers are tasty tasty tasty! I was craving for one for a week afterwards! I would go again for a casual bite after shopping with a friend or something but not a great one if you want to go out for a nice meal in town.

Overall not very impressed. We were seated but had to wait 10 mins and then ask a different waitress for some menus. I ordered the Pesterella burger. It was tasty but a bit overpowered by the pesto which I actually quite like. The actual burger had no flavour. My boyfriend had the chicken satay which he said tasted a bit too much like peanut butter. We had chips which were fine and onion rings which were a bit odd. The whole coating just kept flaking off so it really was just an ring of onion. The restaurant was freezing. Even my bf was cold and that never happens.

Came here last night again with a friend. Food was delicious as always. You just cant beat their blue cheese sauce or garlic sauce. Wine wasn't great though. What was really nice was that my friend and I had 1drink and main course each and we were there for over 3hours chatting and no one bothered us. They were quite happy to let us do our own thing

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I went here after being here couple of times and loving this place, but certainly they have lost 3 customers. When we arrived the place was quite empty with just two members of staff. We decided to have our food outside in the terrace area. The waiter took our order and then two more tables came in. When our food arrived we hadn't got our cutlery nor our drinks (the waiter was extremely busy cleaning the back of the bar to try to finish earlier instead of taking care of the customers) I was very disappointed coz I always recommended this place overall for the service, bubbly, cheerful and attentive. But the big let down came when we got our food!!!!! I went for the Moroccan salad which was bland and chewy, impossible to eat and the burger of my partner was a frozen one and far smaller than what it used to be!! When we were coming here before they were hand made and so much bigger than the one we got! Sorry but for less price you can get a better burger elsewhere

Great restaurant, they do a really cheap early bird of 10euro, during the week. Great milkshakes and selection if burgers. Prompt, friendly service, the only thing that let this place down is the air conditioning the restaurant is too cold which made both visits a bit uncomfortable

Our waitress was great, she was friendly, helpful and bubbly. The restaurant was really cold especially when the doors opened and closed it seem to freeze the whole place. I had the Pesterella burger and it was a tasty burger but I don't think it was worth €11.65. I coudn't believe that chips weren't included in that they were an additional €3.95. Basically a burger and chips costs €16, it was very tasty but not worth the price.

Tried out GBK as I'd heard from some kiwi friends in london it was worth a go (its New Zealand owned/operated). We each had a kiwiburger which was great- melted cheese, pineapple, beetroot and a fried egg is a great combo- with a bowl of chips and a Steinlager beer. Our waiter was pretty laid-back and friendly, and the restaurant was clean and bright although there was no heating and when the door opened the place was freezing! Overall we enjoyed it, and although it's fairly expensive for burger-and-chips (they charge 1.50 for extra sauce) I noticed they do an early-bird deal for ten euros.

I had the Kiwiburger, very unique burger! Definitely recommend it if you go there! Nice atmosphere, a little pricey as all I got was a burger for around 11 euro, no chips or drinks included. My friends each got a drink, one ordered small the other one a large, for only 30 cents more the large had way more bang for the buck! Would come back here again, their menu has endless possibilities!

i'm a big fan of another well known burger emporium in Dublin but decided to try out Gourmet Burger Kitchen as i was in Temple bar. while the choice of burgers is good, my main gripe is with the size of the bun! the bun in considerably smaller than the burger and while this might look quirky, as soon as you bite into you burger it just falls out the other side as there is not enough bun to hold it all together. apart from that there's nothing wrong with GBK but there's nothing great about it either

Came here a few weeks ago with a few people from work for a burger and beer. The menu had a wide range of burgers to choose from and it was difficult for us all to make our choices. I had one of the veggie lentil burgers which was delicous. We shared some chips n dips between us. I had the cajun dip and have been dreaming about it since! It was a cheap and cheerful place for us to relax after work.

Passed by here when in Temple bar and decided to give it a go as 1 of our party is a veggie!!! I got the pesteralla, which was really good!! Service on arrival was good, but once we received our food - we were forgetten about until we had finished eating!! It's a bit much having to pay extra for sauces!! Food was tasty though! Lack of dessert options were disappointing!!

Pleasantly surprised by this place, tried it in the off chance that their veggy offerings were good, and that they were. My friend opted for the falafel and loved it, i went for the mediterranean veg with camembert, while it tasted great, it was only served luke warm so by the time i was half way through it was cold. Staff were very friendly and helpful, however the atmosphere is lacking something, the decor looks unfinished and needs to be worked on the add a bit of ambience to the place. Will be back though as their vegetarian options really are good.

My first time in GBK, was very impressed overall. I ordered a burger w/ avocado and bacon, delicous! My girlfriend went for a veggie option, she was very happy with hers too. The staff were happy and friendly; the only complaint was that the food went cold after a few minutes. Maybe it was a cold wind coming in the door (which was left open continually) but they should do something to ensure the food stays hot for longer, try heating up the plates before serving. Oh we also got the marinated olives as a starter, delicious! As were the chips that came with the burger. The bill came to €34 for the two of us, not bad for city-centre eating IMO.

Fabulous choice. The burger (meat) itself was very good but by the time you are halfway through it it's cold. Something should be done there: heat the plates, heat the buns a lot more, etc... Bear in mind everything is extra: chips and even dip so it does add up for the bill. Smarter and less teenagers but lack of atmosphere a bit. Will go back.

I agree with previous poster, Burgers are nice, a bit more meat would be great, i got a foot high burger today with 4 mm of a beef patty, but burger was proper delicious, cajun chicken pieces with crisp and fresh but why on earth can they not go the extra litle way and do proper chips, was a bit put out, ordering chips then having to pay 1.50 for a sauce to go with them especialy as the chips are 4 bucks a portion. its a bit too expensive for a burger joint as the hidden extras knock it up quite a bit, the €10 lunch deal is good value though. Ambience is like mcDonalds with plates and waitresses, NIce staff though, must say.

Menu looks good, some nice combinations on offer. I went for the chicken, camembert and cranberry combination - unfortunately, the chicken was a little on the dry side and quite tough. Other than that, I can't really complain. Service was pretty good, but the prices are a little on the high side - they'd probably have to drop a little to get me back. All in all, decent eatery, but there is definitely room for improvement.

They serve up a decent enough burger here, but dear oh dear what are they doing with the frozen chips? I've been in a couple of times now, service is solid, it's good value and if you get a window seat,it's a great place to people watch. Now if they could just serve up decent fries..........

I left GBK disappointed being a big fan of burgers and a bigger fan of gourmet burgers. I went for the lamb burger which was tasteless, gristly and dry. My friend's cheesburger seemed to fare slightly better but was just a sea of grease. Although the burgers aren't extortionate when you add in the extras your pretty much paying €20 for a bog standard burger and chips. There are some far better options out there, I won't be back.

I went to GBK just after it opened. Being a Kiwi, i was mainly excited for the prospect of having some proper beer (just joking - seriously Macs is soooo nice) than the food. However, the burgers we had were really good, just like back home, down to the beetroot in the middle, just how a burger should be. The only downside was we were crammed into a tiny table at the window but then it was jammers the night we went. Pricewide, paying more than E5 for a burger anywhere is kinda silly but this was worth it as it was delicious and a huge burger to boot.

After reading the bad reviews about this place, i went down on Monday evening. It was busy enough for a Monday. We were greeted by a very friendly steward, shown to our seats and the menu explained to us.I ordered the Pesterella, fries, onion rings and the milkshake, banana, was one of the best. The food was great,i mean you go to a burger place, you get a burger. The atmosphere was lovely although i think the music needs attention. The meal was a bit pricey but i think one would expect that price in the Temple bar area.It comes with the place. My food was great, i couldnt finish,so next i am there,i will order less but i will be back again.

There are quite a few places calling themselves gourmet burger shops and some of them are quite right in doing so. The burger that I had in the Temple Bar outlet of the gourmet Burger Kitchen was anything but a gourmet burger. In comparison with other gourmet burger places it was a real let down. The chicken is breaded which usually means that it is not the freshest. Service was fine and the location is pretty good but all in all it was a let down.

Really, you are paying far more than you should be in this place. After 3 visits and no improvement, I'm not returning. Apart from the good service, I cannot find a thing to like about the place. My burgers, of all descriptions, have always been swimming in grease. The beef is fatty and poor quality and even the vegetarian options suffer- I had to squeeze my portobello mushrooms in a napkin to remove the unwanted oil. All in all, nasty and overpriced.

I am happy to see the last reviewer had time to eat in this branch and the other one on the same day! it seems they gave 2 differnet reviews but both very very very very very almost too good!!!! Its not all that. Its a poor english attempt at what we already have in Ireland. We have a few Gourmet Burger places of our own and they are better. This one in temple bar is in fact cold and canteen like. The meat tastes cheap and today when I was there I asked where the beef was from, I was told with not a hint of a joke, a cow.....with all the food issues at them moment I would expect staff to be a bit better trained. Leave this joint alone, you wont be happy if you go. Unless you somehow seem to travel around eating in only one chain of restaurants like the last reviewer.

A very underwhelming experience-The decor and lighting is too coldand clinical, more resembling a dentists than a burger joint. The range of burgers is good, but the prep and execution was just wrong, the cheeseburger could be got in any of the "gourmet" burger establishments that have popped up all over the place. Chips were lukewarm at best a big no-no.

I went to Gourmet Burger Kitchen and i totally loved it, the burgers were huge and big, totally worth the money value and comparing to London Gourmet Burger Kitchen it's even better, the whole decor is nicer and warmer, great place, fries and garlic sauce is amazing who likes strong taste and chicken avocado bacon burger is the best, staff very attentive...will visit again and would recommend to others.Well done!

Having just moved here from london 2 weeks ago I was keen to try out Ireland's Gourmet Burger Kitchen. I have frequented GBK in london and have to say that I was very impressed Irish version of this chain. I really enjoyed the fact that here you get table service, which just makes your meal out with friends so much more pleasant. The food was outstanding as always and great value for money. You are guranteed to have to be rolled out of the venue. Its always great to be waited on by friendly efficient staff as well.

This restaurant just doesn't compare with the other gourmet burger type places yet surprise, surprise, it charges the same kind of prices! Decor wise, the lighting could do with some softening. Servicewise, the relentless upselling got a bit tiresome after a while (no, we don't want to purchase olives to have with our glass of wine) and foodwise, it just wasn't great. The chips were clearly frozen, the chicken in the burger was breaded. The one positive was that the house wine was alot nicer than the wine sold by the glass in other burger places. All in all though, I definitely wouldn't return.

I am in agreement with comments already made. The atmosphere is cold, probably because of the glass walls and if its raining outside you can almost feel it! I went because my mother is a burger addict and she was keen to try it out. I think its ridiculous that the Chips are priced separately as it makes a Burger and Chips quite pricey for such an ordinary place. I ordered the Cajun Burger and she had the Mexican burger. I asked if I could have it rare assuming that a specialist burger joint would use real beef prepared onsite, but no its the ready made lot that can only be served medium to well done. Disaster for me! The bugers arrived on cold plates with the result that they started to go cold instantly so no waiting on the chips!. Now I will admit that I found the flavours very good, definitely tasty but the meat was just average. We ordered one Chips and I was surprised that they were served already salted..fine as I dont mind salt but not if you dont take salt. They were tasty. My impression was that they were catering for young student types who would arrive in gangs, have quick burgers and leave...but I do wonder if young students can afford an 11 euros upwards burger?...and that is without the chips!

Visted here the orther evening.. And i have to say the place is a disgrace.. The lighting is all wrong no atmosphere at all.. the food is crap and over priced. I had the chorizo burger which was terrible, the chips were cold but they did replace them straight away. The staff are friendly but very inexperienced. All in all the place feels like you're sitting in Mc Donald's there is no feel to the place.. Its disappointing to see as it looked like it had great potential . Sorry:(

We visited Gourmet Burger last Friday evening 7th of November and we greeted by a very polite and friendly host. Having never eaten here before I was looking forward to trying out this popular venue. We ordered our burgers from the menu and fries and soft. Service was excellent as staff were attentive and efficient throughout our visit. However our food although tasty was very bad value for money, fries priced at €3.65 each while burgers worked out at about €19 - €11 each. Soft drinks were grossly overpriced too. To sum up we wont return as value for money was not good.

I went here after hearing Spin 103.8 advertise it for the last couple of days! I believed it was the same chain which i have enjoyed on many occasions, however i was extremely disappointed with the gourmet burger kitchen. I ordered the chicken as a starter which cost 4:30 Euro and you only get about 3 popcorn pieces of chicken, then i ordered the bbq beef burger and my boyfriend ordered the chilli burger. When they arrived we could not taste the difference between the two. The chips were at an additional cost and FROZEN, I ordered a garlic mayo on the side for an additional 1.50 Euro and it came out green and tasting of soap!! I would not recommend this to anyone and i am deeply disappointed with the overall experience i will not be visiting again!!

As I do not have a vested interest in this place like it appears some of the last reviewers do I will give an accurate review. The meat is small and bland in comparrison to the other Irish Gourmet Burger restaurants, they do not use free range or organic produce like their Irish counterparts. The fries are not good and the extra expensive sauces are very processed tasting. The staff are not friendly and the place is like a cold school canteen. Stick to the original Irish burger joints of which there are a couple around.

Ate here last night with my friend after a bit of shopping. We were warmly welcomed by a very attentive waitress who asked if we would like a window seat. We are huge people watchers so took it - should have known better - when we were tucking in to our humongous burgers it was us who were being watched by passers by reading the menu. This didn't put me off too much tho. I opted for the Thai Red curry burger, it was amazing. Not over sauced to make it soggy but had a nice kick and also came with grilled pineapple which I would normally not like - but it worked!!! My friend had a chicken burger with bacon and avacado and declared it to be the best chicken burger she had ever eaten. We both had our own portion of fries. We ordered 2 dips, smoked chilli and the garlic. I love garlic and did find it a bit strong, but then the waitress did pre-warn me :) I would just stick to kethup if I went again. Had 2 large red wines, a huge ckoe and a tea - bill came to 50 bucks. This place is a long time coming and I'll be back.

Went here with my girlfriend on the recent chilly bank holiday monday. There was a bit of a buzz in the place, enjoyed the funky clean decor and chilled house tunes. Greeted by a friendly supervisor or manager very quickly and sat, had the menu explained and ordered a couple of beers. I opted for the Kiwiburger, a huge stack of a burger with all these unusual topping and my girlfriend selected one of the veggie options. We shared the GBK fries and a smoked chilli mayo. All was excellent, totally stuffed after, just what was needed for the bank holiday hangover. Would recommend it to anyone.

It was cold and miserable out one evening after work and myself and himself decided to find somewhere cosy to hide rather than get soaked waiting for the bus. We headed to Temple Bar and headed straight to this place. We'd noticed it before as it looks clean and inviting which is more than can be said for some places in the same area! We were quickly looked after by a pleasant waitress who gave aus a nice table near the window and took our drink orders. Funnily enough we both had burgers! I chose the Jamacian burger with Mango and Ginger sauce. Delicious. He had the Avocado & bacon, his silence throughout the meal tells me it was good. In an atempt to keep things sensible we opted to share a portion of GBK chips...yum yum yum. Homemade, skins on, simple and tasty. Whilst we were there we observed that this place suits all. People looking to sit quietly whilst reading, families with kids and elders, friends and last but not least romantics hiding from the rain!

Apart from the waiting staff and them getting our order almost incorrect, the burgers in the place are quite decent and the big chunky chips were tasty, however the garlic mayo tastes like a whole garlic and i love my garlic but the garlic mayo way too strong. The food was quite good. I would go back but not in a rush.

Called in here last week with a few friends. Cant say we were impressed. The chips were crap - seriously, put some effort in people! Burger was ok but nothing exciting or particularly tasty. My friends agreed. There was extra toppings ordered that never came out. And a side of salsa was like water! They got our neighbours orders wrong too but they couldnt be bothered sending it back. It wasnt that busy on the night in question. When the bill came down we realised it was much lower than it should be - again they had gotten something wrong. And this is something i would never usually do but we played dumb and under paid them - only because the food was substandard and the service not great either!

Not an enjoyable experience. The staff as has been mentioned were very unattentive and dissinterested. The burger was not "Gourmet" I have eaten in many burger restaurants both in Ireland and abroad and this is not Gourmet. There is one other burger restaurants in dublin on the luas line which far out shines this restaurtant. The lights are too bright as said before, the chips are flavourless, the burger, supposed to be the star of the show was burnt and tough and the filling and bun was all I could taste. This place is indeed a tourist trap, just like times square in NYC the worst places are were the most tourists are as they will not be coming back and the restaurant only needs them once. Stay away from GBK and go eleswhere unless you are a tourist and then go and complain when you get back to your home land.

My experience wasn't as bad as the ones below. Although the staff were a little distracted (at one point our waitress went outside to look at commotion going on outside with Dave McSavage) on the whole the service was fine - quite quick. I had the bacon avacado burger which I found quite nice - though I agree a little pricey, considering you have to pay extra for chips. However, one portion for me and my boyfriend was enough.

I went here yesterday after work with my friend. I was very very disappointed by it. Firstly it feels like a canteen - the lights are super bright and there is no atmosphere. We both ordered South African ciders - they tasted like cough medicine. We ordered burgers well done but when they arrived they were medium. I don't eat burgers which are pink in the middle. The chips cost about 4 euro and they are really bad. No flavour at all. We were so unimpressed by the place that I called the manager and told her that we didn't to stay. She didn't seem very bothered. 'Gourmet' burger is just a tourist trap. Don't waste your money or your time here.

Judging from the other reviews it can be a bit hit and miss. Apart from waiting a bit long the burger was very nice as well as the chips. The only thing I didn't like was the side order of garlic mayonnaise with the chips. All you could taste was raw garlic. I was still reeking of it the following day. Mayonnaise with garlic please, not the other way round!

I ate in a branch of GBK in London before, so this I assume is the same English chain. The one in London was fine, but better burger places in London and this one in Temple Bar is VERY poor. The service was awful, the staff had no idea what they were doing and spent most of the time chatting amongst themselves. The food was below the standard of a Gourmet Burger joint. The meat was bland and unseasoned, the chips were as I think has been said here, frozen. The sides of sauces are more expensive than bottled water in the shops and they come in a thimble like pot. I am not sure what is going on in this place but it is not good. Rotton service, Poor food, Inflated prices and overall very disappointing.

BAD BAD BAD.Went here with a couple of friends over the weekend all of us had a bad experience.Firstly my burger was cold and I sent it back and it came back totally burnt. The manager/host was very unhelpful when this happened. In fact the staff on the whole were rude and unhelpful. Two of my friends burgers were hot but like mine, burnt.Another of my party had the falafel which was as dry as a bone. The buns were so big it was like eating bread not a burger as the meat itself was no bigger than a quater pounder in McD's.The location is Temple Bar so not exactly St Marks square and the drunks were out in flight so made for a very uncomfortable time. The chips as was said are frozen and this is a total travisty as I was paying close to €4 for them.Even my local chipper makes its own chips and costs €2.90.This place is supposed to be Gourmet but in our opinion it is one of the worst Gourmet Burger places around, there are several others that I know of all of whom I am told are better than this one, although I have never tried them.I will never be returning to GBK, but I will try the other Gourmet Burger Restaurants to see if what I am told is right and GBK is the exception.

Tried this place at the weekend and loved it - I had the mexican burger - talk about loads of toppings. There was way too much food for me, but thankfully my partner had no problem polishing off the leftovers. I wasn't so taken by the chips - they were a bit bland, but the burger made up for that. I will definitely be returning.

Thank god it's finally got to Ireland. I always visit when I'm in London. It is counter service in London, so its nice that it's waiter service here. Sitting outside on a Friday night watching all the entetainment that is Temple Bar drinking good but inexpensive wine and eating a mexican with cheese or a greek lamb with some good friends and walking away full while not getting ripped off is my idea of a good night out. Nice one keep it up GBK

This place is great. I went here with my husband and had a burger each and shared a portion of chips and were stuffed! I think our bill was only €15-€20 with a drink. I had been to their branch in Liffey Valley and had a Blue Cheese burger which was to die for, but this time only fancied the plain burger, I could taste the quality. Must say it's nice to sit outside and enjoy the buzz of Templebar @ the same time. Would deffinatly recomend it!!

Terrible. The place is a rip off, as the reviewer said frozen chips for €4 is daylight robbery. The burger is small and the bun is massive. The service is very cold and the whole experience was bad. There are other gourmet burger places around Dublin a couple of which I have eaten in and they are far better than this dive. As I do not travel around from Liffey Valley to Temple bar I cannot say what the other branch is like but as they are the same chain I would say as bad and I will not be going to find out.

I've eating in GBK in Temple Bar & Liffey valley a number of times now and each time it has been a good experience. The food has been delicious and waiting staff both friendly & willing to answer questions about the menu etc. I have recommended it to friends who have also enjoyed their meal there and I will definitely be visiting it again.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen in Temple Bar is an absolute rip off. I went there for an early lunch last week. First of all the hostess was extremely rude and appeared to be nursing a hangover and had no interest in answering any queries that we had. The service was dismal, 20 mins waiting on drinks and a further 25 mins on burgers? at 12.30pm? Also the burgers are far too expensive €15 for an avocado and bacon burger???? A side order of chips is €4 and it should be noted that these are FROZEN CHIPS. I was really looking forward to giving GBK a go as it is close to my office and would be an ideal quite bite lunch stop but I will not be recommending it to friends.
