Dunne And Crescenzi (Sandymount) 3.0 star review: The restaurant has a nice cosy appearance and is quite informal. The service was of a very poor quality overall however. We ordered a starter of bruschetta which is a simplistic dish to make. It arrived 1 hour and 15 minutes after the order. The only consolation was that we were not rushed out the door & had time to enjoy our bottle of wine. One of the waiters began to clear our table as we finished the starter! Another waiter asked what main course was ordered. This is approx. 90 minutes after we had first entered. Need I say any more?

Dunne And Crescenzi (Sandymount) 4.0 star review: The starter (Bruschetta) and Dessert (Tiramisu) were both excellent, but the main was a bit of a let down - squid ink pasta with seafood. It was dried pasta as opposed to freshly made and the whole thing was a bit dry in general & not that much seafood in it. We ordered a couple of sides as well - rosemary potatoes were fine, but the roasted vegetables were dripping in oil and were cut into such tiny strips that it was hard to tell what each individual vegetable was. I did like the wine and the service was good. Overall, I'd come back & give it another go, but would not choose that main again.

Dunne And Crescenzi (Sandymount) 4.5 star review: Visited this well known and established restaurant in Sandymount last night not having been there for a few years. First thing I have noticed is they have seriously cut the prices compared to before. Very friendly staff food was excellent good selection of pastas and salads. Their desserts and Italian ice cream are top notch as well. Only gripe as previously is some of the tables are more or less on top of each other so not a first date venue unless you want to hear your fellow diners conversations!
Beware also of the clampers as well on the street outside the restaurant as pay and display is required up until 12 midnight and not 7pm like some adjoining streets! several people were caught last night.

Dunne And Crescenzi (Sandymount) 2.0 star review: I haven't been to Dunne & Crescenzi for over a year, after some bad experiences (we didn't get seated, we had to grab a table ourselves even though the restaurant was empty, the food took ages to be served, and the employees were cold and seemed very bored), so last night I decided to just go for a bottle of wine with the wife, thinking that it's impossible to mess up with just a quick drink... silly me!

The wine was great, good value and all, so we decided to order a cheese platter.. It all started when the waitress didn't know what a cheese platter was, and we had to point to their own menu.. (OMG!)

Then, after 30 minutes, I asked if the cheese platter was coming, she simple told me that "the kitchen is very busy, I can cancel the order for you?" which again showed no respect for us.

Anyway, to cut a long story short; I am not impressed by their customer service at all, and should have stayed away. Don't get me wrong, the food (for what I can remember) is great, but management should either change their policies or change their staff.

Dunne And Crescenzi (Sandymount) 4.0 star review: I'm from the area, best restaurant in Sandymount by a mile. Very relaxed and casual feel to the place, however, the pasta is second to none. Go once a week, and have never been disappointed with the food or service!

Dunne And Crescenzi (Sandymount) 3.5 star review: Generally I love this place so I was disappointed with my most recent visit. The food was up to its usual high standard but unfortunately the atmosphere and service have reduced somewhat. It was cold ( I kept my coat on throughout the meal), very bright (not the usual cosy vibe) and the staff, who were new all new (since my last visit less than a month ago) were unengaging and distracted. I started with a bruschetta which was excellent and had the ragu which again was very good but regardless left feeling disappointed.

Dunne And Crescenzi (Sandymount) 5.0 star review: I love this place, good atmosphere, great food and excellent wine list. Also quite affordable considering the quality of the ingredients. To be honest tables are a bit cramped but I actually think it adds to the atmoshere funny enough. Parking is not usually a problem and staff are friendly. Favourite dish is the Tuscan sausage with Borlotti beans.

Dunne And Crescenzi (Sandymount) 2.0 star review: I have previously enjoyed plates of bruschetta, veg and mozzerella in this small restaurant in Sandymount. However when I took someone there for dinner last week it was a different story. There was only one waiter and he wasn't the friendliest of fellows. Took ten minutes to get menus and another ten to give our order. Our starters (bruschetta and soup) took 30mins to arrive while we watched other tables around us that came in after us get similar. My pasta dish looked lovely but the pasta wasn't cooked when I bit into it....when I called the waiter over he gruffly told me that I was wrong, when I showed him the pasta he picked up the plate and walked over to the kitchen shouting. The person that was with me then cut into her cold lasagne which we also had to send back. Ten minutes later our food reappeared but alas my pasta was still not cooked and I had to send it back again. The lasagne was piping hot and burned both of our mouths, maybe the chef was trying to teach us a lesson. So two late starters, undercooked and then burning food and a forty euro bill made it a very unpleasant two and a half hours. And no sign of an apology. Won't be going back.

Dunne And Crescenzi (Sandymount) 4.0 star review: I have never been disappointed with food in here. The cheese and vegetables are always very good quality. Also the main meals.
Selection of vine is good. Stuff is friendly.
The only thing this place could be a bit quiet, but again, it’s depends on what you like.
