We loved our meal for two at The Wild Goose Grill. It was a busy Saturday night but service from first greeting to departure was still excellent. All the staff were well on the ball and very courteous. The restaurant has such an elegant ambiance, perfect for that special meal out. Food was delish. I would highly recommend the San Seared Scallop with Smoked Pork Belly for starter, cooked perfectly and the Goose Breast (cooked to Chef's choice medium rare) for main course, the combination of flavours married well and the plate was clean. Has to be topped off with the Assiette of Desserts for Two as it was too hard to decide between the other desserts. Would love to go back again soon.

Food and atmosphere were very good. However some basic errors on service, not naming the cheeses provided on the cheese plate, serving a 2012 wine when a 2009 wine was listed in the wine menu, and not telling us in advance that they expected the table back at a particular time even though we selected food from the more expensive a la carte menu.

First course scallops in Thermodore sauce were quite superb and remarked on my several of our group of 12. Three well travelled foodies went for Goose breast as maincourse and were raving about it. The Cahors Malbec 2011 tasted very good with the Goose and good value too. Fish eaters were equally happy with their orders and your lovely Austrian white wines. Congrats to the Chefs and to Kevin in particular for his warm welcome and genuine engagement with our guests. Our sincere thanks to all @Wild Goose last night. Greg.
