I live near this restaurant so I go quite a bit, I have taken several different friends too and I have never been disappointed. It has got to the point where they request we go there and time they are visiting.
My most recent visit was with a work friend on a Thur night, we shared some homemade breads and dips - tasty, tangy, yummy dips. We both had the special of hake on a seafood risotto and so tasty.
I have had the set menu on several occasions also and again have never been disappointed, it would be nice, if the set menu changed a bit more frequently...but that is only a quibble.
I have given 5 stars, because it is consistently good, is really great value and the service has always been friendly and competent.

A hidden Gem in Dublin.

originally planned to use a voucher for our meal but was advised it wasnt valid on a Saturday.

The food was fantastic! we eat out a lot and were very impressed compared to a lot of places we eat in town. with it being BYOB, the bill was very reasonable. It was a bit roudy upstairs, as you would expect with BYOB, but downstairs seemed to have a nice quiet atmosphere.

I am glad we still have our voucher and will enjoy going back!

Fantastic food. We had starters of kidney /black pudding and smoked haddock salad. Mains were steak and belly of pork. Excellent presentation. Really enjoyed it. BYO also makes the experience that bit more affordable. Well done Seagrass. We'll be back

Went here for a meal with my boyfriend. i had been before, he had not. He could not get over the quality of the food. I had the breads and dips to start - he had the goats cheese. I had salmon for main and he had scallops. Everything was cooked to perfection, so tasty with beautiful presentation.
The only thing I was a little disappointed about was our table was by the door and with smokers leaving and coming back in made it a little chilly but that's the only downfall.
Will definitely be returning.

I go for lunch here now and again. It is a great restaurant and such good value. They really know how to flavour foods well. I had a seafood soup, which was lovely and a salad, which to be honest was a bit too healthy for me - not much in it apart from sald leaves!! I definitely want to try it for dinner sometime. Breads are also fab.

Had the Early Bird menu here and was really happy with what was on offer. Started with the spicy tomato seafood chowder which was an Irish take on gumbo and it was divine- would've been happy with it as a main.
My main was the pork belly and it was nice and moist, sometimes they are overdone to achieve the crackling but this was perfect.
The staff were attentive and knowledgeable and the BYOB with no corkage is a great option- will definitely return!
