I visited for the first time at an admittedly busy time: midweek at 1PM. The food was good. The place was clean, bright, nicely furnished and overall very well presented. The experience was ruined by some of the worst customer service I've experienced in Ireland. Having ordered food (for 2) I was directed to another queue to pay. This turned out to be the queue for coffee. Coffee was only being made only intermittently as chaos reigned behind the counter, as staff who may or may not speak a common language seemed to get in each other's way a lot (apart from one gent busy making sandwiches right in the middle of it all instead of off to one side). Have the owners ever had anyone queue up and give them feedback or measure how long it took on average for customers to get served? Sure, nobody walked away in frustration -- they were hungry and had jobs to get back to -- but I doubt I am the first who would not return in a hurry. After five minutes or so with little or no progress in the coffee queue, and facing the prospect of waiting a long time (10 or 15 minutes?), I inquired of a passing staff member if this was really necessary. No, I could pay at one of the checkout counters at the entrance. The staff member on the till sighed when I suggested that the arrangements for paying were inefficient. I got the impression that he was well aware of the problem and could do nothing about it. What a pity, particularly as everything else was pretty good. And we still had to wait some time before he could get away from that till and go bring us our food. The last place I encountered having to queue up in different places and waiting forever to pay was a town in Russia on the arctic circle. There there was at least the compensating amusement of babushkas stamping pieces of paper and vacuum tubes shuttling money about. Verdict: avoid if you are hungry and it's lunch time. Just go somewhere else.

Very busy. Staff not friendly but just do their job without a smile. I had tasty mushroom soup, lovely consistency but laden with salt. Bread boring. Hard to find free tables.

Great spot for breakfast! Only disappointment was the lack of eggs on the menu...

Great place, very nice food. I had a slice of lemon cake and it was delicious, as well as the hot chocolate. Also bought a spelt bread that is very good.

There is a good atmosphere and nice staff- but I think Wilde & Green has lost the edge- I went there for lunch today- poor selection of sandwiches- we need more healthy options and healthy options breads. I opted for salmon and salads- They had ran out of two salads that I wanted by 1pm- the beetroot salad and mixed salad were slimy and not very tasty. It was 12.50 which I thought was over priced- their cakes and scones and coffee are al good- sort out your salads and sambos please!!

I love W&G - the coffee is the best on the south side and I love their sandwiches. Ingredients are really fresh, lovely bread. They offer lots of salads and mains too. Service very friendly, there's always a nice atmosphere.

I have been here a number of times recently and will continue to go back again and again. Not only is it good value for what you get, but the salads are delicious. They are not too oily making them slightly better than other well known establishments that would have similar salads. the staff are very friendly and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Get there early for lunch or you may miss out though as everything is made fresh and some stuff will be gone before 12.30

I went here with my mother for lunch. Even at 12.30 it was quite busy. It is self service. There is a very good selection of hot and cold items. The price is based on your main course and you can get your main course and two salads / accompaniments for betwen 10 and 12 euro. I tried the Thai chicken and my mother had a lamb casserole - both excellent. The four salads were also nice and fresh. My mother ended her meal with a cappucino which she said was the best she had had for many years. I would be very happy to eat here again.

I have been here twice in one week. I was very impressed the first time. I had shephards pie and you get two side salads with it for €10.50. It was great value and very tasty. It feels like food at home. It is a café but not that cosy but nice for a bite to eat. The second time I had a chicken leg and that wasn’t that nice. The coffee and the cakes are very tasty. I will definitely go back as there are a lot of nice things to chose from. At the weekends it gets very busy and hard to get a table inside.
