It was a wet Sunday evening and due to its location it’s not surprising Fillies was very quite, but warm and welcoming all the same. The 2 course meal voucher I bought from menupages for €39 included 2 cocktails which was great value considering you could choose anything from their al a carte menu, including the fillet steak. The steak was delicious however, it day say accompanied by herb mash which it wasn’t and the chips with it weren’t very nice. The Flirtini cocktail went down a treat all in all an enjoyable experience.

Great place, fabulous service, they included the steak into the offer as well which ended up saving us money, generous portions and excellent cocktails!

The service is great and the menu is well stocked. I'd reccomend the bangers and mash but not the burger. I had it on our last visit and it was soggy with grease, very un-appetising. Other than that experience though i've always enjoyed it, a nice little spot to pop into for lunch.

The staff here are friendly and they often have drink promos on. The food platters they offer are always freshly made and tasty.

Availed of a CityDeal. Arrived at 7 pm on a Saturday just as restaurant opened. We had soup and tiger prawns for starters. Both very tasty. Friendly prompt service. Beef (5 euro extra) + duck (today's special) for main courses. Allowed to have coffee in place of dessert. Food is of an excellent quality. Fantastic value for money with a CutyDeal.

Absolutely loved it here....the food is amazing! We got the prawn tails and black pudding for starters....so delicious! I got the steak for mains which was melt-in-the-mouth....my partner got the lamb which he thought was ok but a little fatty. The only downside with both our mains was the potato gratin that came as a side....it was pretty bad and tasted nothing like potato gratin! Luckily mine came with basil mash anyway, which was gorgeous.. Service was impeccable, staff extremely polite and efficient...

I ate in Fillies last night as we haven’t been in a long time. We started with a cocktail in their new chill Lounge area, cool leather sofas , relaxed style furniture, just a nice atmosphere . We then ate off their evening menu, food was really good & excellent value , I had the soup and the rack of lamb as main , my partner had the black budding & hen's egg as her starter followed by the sea bass. Both meals very good plus best value wine list in the area by a mile. well worth a visit.

Fillies is always worth a visit. I've been coming here for a few years now and the quality of food has never been anything but excellent. It can lack atmosphere during the day if you are there for lunch, but with two courses from a decent menu for €15, the value more than makes up for that. Fillies gets a thumbs up from me, so if you give it a go, try the BBQ chicken wings, they're amazing!!!

I dropped in here today to have a quick lunch with a friend of mine. It's really nothing to look at from the outside (or from the inside for that matter) but I have to say I was very pleasantly suprized with the staffs attitude. They were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was ok. Perfect for a quick lunch. I had a cajun chicken panini with fries and it was exactly what it "said on the tin". Its was served with a basic side salad and the panini could have been cooked slightly better. However, it was cheap and cheerful so I can't really complain. My friend had the Brie salad and she enjoyed it. It was a basic salad served with deep fired Brie in breadcrums and a small dish of sweet chilli sauce. Again it was quite reasonable at just 10.95. Overall it was pleasant experience. I wouldn't RUSH back there, but I certainly wouldn't avoid the place. Cheap and cheery with good staff. Fine for lunch

We brought our 5 month old daughter here after work on a Friday. It was a lovely day out and many people were sitting outside, but we sat inside to eat. There wasn't much athmosphere because of that. I had the brie salad. It was delicious. The brie was grilled and went lovely with the fruit sauce. The chips were lovely too and the garlic mayo went well with them. It was happy hour so I had a few cocktails outside afterwards. It was lovely sitting back looking over the ring enclosure for the races. The service was excellent and they were very attentive and helpful with my daughter. overall the food is very nice pub grub, but a little expensive for what you get.

I have to say that the food in Fillies is always very good. I like my food to be nice and hot and I am never disappointed. I've only ever gone for lunch, and the menu has great variety! The portions are decent and I come away satisfied. I had the Thai Green Curry this day and you can ask for it to be spicy to your taste. The service is always good. When you see the same staff working there long term then you know they must be doing something right. The only fault (if you want to find fault) is that there's not much atmosphere. It usually feels a little cold, although the decor is ok. I tend to visit about 3 or 4 times per year.

When I heard about the Valentines menu in Fillies, I thought it sounded like fantastic value! Three main courses and a glass of champagne for €20, you cant go too far wrong. We had the chicken wings and prawn cocktail for starters, followed by the steak and fish and chips. There was no choice of desert, we were given pafitarolls which was a slight disappointment on my part! No part of the meal was completely fantastic but it was still an overall enjoyable experience!

I attended my Christmas party here at Fillies.. Excellent food and excellent night and recently a family do which was equally as good. To my surprise my husband had booked us in for today for lunch. We had the valentines menu which was suggested by the young lady who served us. I had the brie salad and my husband had the prawn cocktail for start. We both had the steak with roast veg. I had apple crumble and he just had the complimentary glass of champagne and mine, (I was driving). The food was tasty and well presented. The home made crumble took me back and so will we. Thank you for another lovely day.

Went here for lunch with a friend we both had only main course, I chose fillet of plaice which was a special and my friend had fish and chips. The service was quick and the food arrived 5/6 mins after ordering, begs the question of how long it was waiting in the kitchen. The plaice was over cooked and dry and was served with a salad on the side of the plate which looked and tasted dreadful, some lettuce leaves with greated carrot on top. My friends fish which was cod was succelent and tasty and was served with the same salad. the bill with a soft drink each was €28 not very expensive buy definately the food wasnt worth it. The place was very quiet for a Friday lunchtime that in itself tells a story.

A lunch with my girlfriend. Don't think much of the interior, it's distracting, but the place is comfy enough with space between the tables so it's possible to have a decent natter without having to resort to miming. The service is good, attentive and quick, pleasant and down-to-earth. The soup of the day was truly delicious (fennel and leek) and the bread was very good. My seafood pasta was a grave disappointment; tasteless and watery with overcooked prawns. My girlfriend had the brie salad which was tasty. Had the seafood pasta been good the food would have been worth the price. I suspect that had I chosen a better dish it would have been a good price.

First time here for lunch and will return. We all had panini's with either wedges & fries and the postion sizes are very good. Downside was the chicken did tast a bit processed, upside was that the prices are reasonable. Friendly efficient staff too.

I had lunch here early last Friday (about 12pm) with my mother & really enjoyed the meal. I Has the steak sandwich ( I don't usually like steak at all but just felt like it) and she had chicken pannini. The food was fantastic and we both commented on the service. It was second to none. Any of the guys that served us were lovely and friendly. I like the atmosphere here and we found it to be decent value for money. I will certainly venture down here for this cafe again (I live in Citywest & the trip is worth it).

Went here for lunch, had the Chicken Caesar Salad which contianed all the ususal suspects, cos leaves, parmesan cheese, croutons, olives and garlic dressing etc... The food is nice but nothing special. The place has a nice modern feel to it. I'll go back again but only because I work across the road and its grand for a change.

I visited Fillies on a Saturday afternoon and had the most enjoyable experience. There was a fantastic atmosphere as the rugby match was showing. The staff were really friendly and polite. We were delighted to see they had an early bird menu with 3 courses for only €20 and the drinks prices were excellent value too. The food was delicious especially the brie salad and steak. We have already booked in to go this weekend again with family.

I visited Fillies last sunday and generally do every weekend.. and have a very different opinion to some of the reviews below. I have always enjoyed a lovely meal here and i have to say the Fillet steak is one of the best i have ever had!! I always find the staff very helpful, know most of them by name now, they can be busy sometimes but i've never waited too long to be looked after..also just discovered they have reduced their drinks prices by about 50%, i enjoyed my glass of wine even more !!! i'll be back next sunday..

Have eaten here before & always liked it, but this time i was in a group and the service was SO slow, booked the table in advance and we waited 20 mins to get waiters attention to take our order. He nodded and said he'd be over then proceeded to take orders off two other tables, one in front of us at that. His female colleague took our order in the end. It wasn't too long waiting on food to arrive and everyones was tasty but the wait to be served was definitely too long I recommend Fillies for small groups, anything over 4 and you'll be in for a wait

This place is good for a pub lunch if a little over priced for what you get. Avoid the chicken wrap, not good at all! The hot chicken sandwich is nice and the soups are usually good. I'd really only go there for lunch though, the staff need to be trained a little better & learn to be a little more polite.

This place is pretty mediocre, have been for lunch a few times, its always fairly packed so the waiting staff are always riun off thier feet, the wedges are pretty yummy, but last time I was there we both ordered the goats cheese salad which is described on the menu as having baby spinach leaves and sun dried tomatos, neither of which were in it, it was mainly just iceberg lettuce, carrots, peppers and a wheel of goats cheese, totally different from the menu! If you fancy a panini and chips nothing too fancy its an ok spot for lunch.

Went up here one night. Food was nice, service was ok. The waiter hadn't got a clue. No atmosphere as the place was empty for a Friday night. The food portions were small. Had prawn curry. Couldn't find the prawns. With small portion of rice. My partner had the caeser salad that was ok. Don't think i would rush back though.

Went to Fillies yesterday for lunch. Had called the day before to ask could we reserve a seat outside as the weather was beautiful, they couldnt promise but they would see what they could do. We arrived at 1 & a table for 5 was reserved for us. The service was fast even though they were very busy, the food delicious & plenty of it. It was all very fresh. I think the next time I will just get the Ceaser without the chicken as I was stuffed leaving. I dont think Fillies is expensive, you always leave feeling full. Will defo be going back.

Food's only ok here. About half of the times I've eaten at Fillies I've suspected that my meal was taken from a packet. Staff are friendly though and at least two of their waiters are cute, so that nearly makes up for it!!

Delicious food - HUGE portions! The chicken strips contained the same amount of chicken as 2 chicken breasts and the Cajun chicken thin base pizza was about 4cm thick there was so much topping! I ate here at 7pm and didn't get hungry again until the following evening... will just order a starter next time!!!

I ate there as part of a family party. It was a Sunday, so it was a bit hard to know whether this atmosphere was representative of the place on a normal day (it was pretty quiet). Food is an expansive 'pub-grub style' menu. Service was friendly & brisk, but the bar staff doubled as waiting staff, which meant periods of staring forlornly at the taps on the bar. Food portions were substantial (I had Thai fishcakes starter and traditional fish and chips main). The downside was sense of being overly stuffed after dinner. Prices were reasonable compared to other local establishments. Overall: Good!

Great stop for lunch Mon-Fri. Apart from that I wouldn't really go there for food. Nothing amazing on the menu and even some of the lunch portions are tiny. I had a panini and chips and it was good. One of the girls had beef kebab and was impressed. Perfect for the lunch crowd from Sandyford. Plenty of parking!

I had agreat meal here the first time I visited, but the second time was a bit disappointing. I asked twice for a bread basket and it never arrived, service was slow, and my chicken tasted like it had been re-heated. On the plus side, it's a lovely bar and staff are very nice.

Nice atmosphere and ok food. Children welcome for lunch and there are quite a few families at the weekend. Not great value for the quality, but then that's not unusual in County Dublin from my experience.

Very pleasant surroundings, clean location, experienced staff, good food. Menu varies from paninis to steak to pizza, excellent location for lunch (with a very cosy feeling). Very busy during lunch period, which is always, a good sign. Touch on the pricy side (with breakfast way over priced for contents) A must try??... The Lamb Stew (Portion a bit on the small side) but what a taste.

It is very handy if you work in Sandyford Industrial estate, the place was quite busy when I went on my break one day I ordered the Cajun chicken baguette which was delicious, waitress was very friendly and the food came quickly, overall I would recommend for a nice quick snack at very reasonable prices.

Ideal for lunch if you work in the Sandyford area. Quick service because they know your on a lunch break. Everything I’ve tried on the menu has been nice however I wouldn’t recommend the goat’s cheese salad as my sister was presented with a lump of cheese on some bread with a few scabby lettuce leaves around it until she sent it back!
