I have been here twice once for the buffet which was lovely and great value for money. The second time i visited the food was terrible, we where the only people in the restaurtant i could hear our starters being cooked in the microwave. When it arrived at our table it was cold. I could be more understanding if the restaurant was busy but as i said we where the only ones there. The main wasnt great either. All in all i wouldnt recommend.

Have as yet only had takeaways delivered from this restaurant but in that regard, I have no complaints. Food is very tasty and good value, and delivery service friendly, although it could be more prompt.

First time to eat from this restuarant. Got a take away, but was very disappointed. There was only one couple eating in, and I waited about 40 mins for the food. The food was very poor, Tikka masala and Korma were extremely sweet. The appetisers were not bad, Bombay roll and the Palok Paneer Chat - deep fried spinach and tofu!! The two sauces, Tikka and Korma, were a bright orange and yellow sauce. Both looked like paint you'd see in a playschool!! Bit watery also. Myself and my partner were looking for something different to eat this evening, and decided Indian. We completely regret this decision, having spent €27 and most of the food went in the bin. First time to eat here and defenitly the last !!!

I knew something was wrong as we were approaching this Indian Restaurant and all I could see were signs on the windows advertising pizza and a cavery. The service wasn't the greatest. I think the low point was when we were presented with a wine list and then advised that there was actually only one house white and red. When our red was delivered I commented that it looked like a bottle that probably came from Lidl or Aldi. From the taste I really think it was. It probably cost the restaurant less than 5 euros for this horrible red wine we had to pay EUR 18.50 for. Indian is my favourite food and I was so disappointed when my Lamb Chilli Masala was mild. Not even a kick to it. My finance's Tandoori chicken had more kick and was lovely. The decor of the restautant was extremely tacky. Would I dine here again? ... absolutely not! Would I get a take away? Probably yes. Least I can add my own chillis.

I order deliveries from here every so often and I have dined in on a few occassions. The food is very tasty and the price is reasonable, they have a good menu and over all once you get your food its enjoyable. The only problem is the service. its very bad and although its never busy the staff cannot cope. once someone else got our starters and we got theirs - not what we ordered and no apology. Not a great atmosphere here either and its a pity as the food is good.

Visited this restaurant shortly after it opened. Had been on hols and travelling all day, so went to wash hands but sink didn't work in ladie's. Boyf had same problem in the gent's. Cold night and we were seated by the door even though only one other table was occupied. Very strange decor-more nightclub than restaurant. Very quiet- we could hear the others diners' conversation. Went for two person special meal. Found the curry very mild although it was suposed to be hot. Not sure what spring rolls were doing on an Indian menu. Wine was quite pleasant for the price. Haven't been back as not much atmosphere- maybe a Saturday night might be more lively. Never been there for a take-away- prefer the Indian down the road as food is good and spicy as it should be.

A friend recommended The Bombay Cafe and I felt compelled to give it a try. We went on our Wedding Anniversary and boy was I disapointed I had chosen such a special occasion to give this establishment a shot. We arrived at 10.30 and were the only diners in the Restaraunt. There was a lot of coming and going with food deliveries which can be noisy and quite distracting. We ordered the special dinner for two. The wine was just about acceptable and the food was average. At no point did any member of staff come over to us to see if we needed anything. There was one other diner in the Restaraunt at this point. We eventually went up to pay and left. My husband discovered when he was checking his bank statement that he had been charged twice and when he rang he was asked for his address which was irrelevent, and if he could call in which was inconvenient. It took some time for the matter to be rectified and I found it all quite off putting.

Without doubt one of my worst dining experiences in Dublin. The restaurant was so cold and while we were there they took a delivery of food and the door kept opening and was left open and I can't explain to you the breeze that came in the door. I am not sure how many times I had to get up and close the door. As a result of this, never really had an opportunity to enjoy the food.

I've eaten here a few times and mostly have enjoyed the food, but the last time I was a little disappointed. I always order the lamb as their chicken is not free range so I asked if I could have Butter Lamb instead of the Butter Chicken which was on the menu, as far as I could tell it would just be a case of substituting one meat for the other, but they refused and said they couldn't do this - I was a bit perplexed as to why they couldn't, but ordered a Lamb Curry instead. Normally the Lamb here is very tender, but this time it was tough and sinewy - I ended up popping it in my napkin and taking it home for the dog! As I said, normally the food here is very good value for money, so maybe I just caught them on a bad night.

I have been here a few times. Its a great value restaurant with great staff and service. The owner really cares and it shows. The dinner special for two is great value particularly considering the great house red/white wine available. Food is very good for this price range. Atmosphere is ok - this is a classic shortcoming for indian restaurants in ireland. Decent indian food at keen prices make it the one of the better indian restaurants this side of dublin city centre.

Two of us ate here on Saturday night. Five stars all round. The staff were very attentive. We shared the bombay platter for a starter. I had chicken biriyani and my other half had the hot chicken tikka masala. Both dishes were delicious. The sauces were very light and you didn't feel like you had stuffed yourself. Had enough room for dessert, all that and a lovely bottle of wine came to 68euro. I'm definitely going back.

Two of us ate here on Monday night. It's a little hidden away off the main street but we'd spotted it and decided to give it a try. I'm very glad we did. It was quiet when we arrived but soon filled up, the waiter was very friendly and helpful, the menu had plenty of choice. We ordered the Bombay Special Platter to share, really tasty and good portion size. The boyf had Balti Thawa Exotica which he really liked and I had the Chicken Tikka Delight which was delicious. We will definitely be going back and will change from our usual takeaway to this restaurant.

We got a takeaway from this Indian last night for the first time. Food was lovely not real thick and heavy like some indians. I had the Chicken and cheese kofta, which was gorgeous. Reasonably priced compared to some takeaways. Eating in set menus look very good. Great value!!! Next time we are going to eat in and see what the restaurant is like.

Visited for the first time last week having found it on this website and have to say I was very impressed with the food and service. Very attentive and pleasant staff that would make you want to go back even if the food wasn't nice. I will definitely be back. Great to have such a great place in my area.

Four of us visited this restaurant just after Christmas. Because it's very new and the night that we chose there were very few customers there at the time. This meant that there was a lack of atmosphere but my guess is that this restaurant could be quite buzzy when there are more customers around. We had three starters, four mains, two bottles of wine, two Cobra beers, a large bottle of still water, one dessert and three coffees. The total bill was just over €135. This was excellent value especially as each of us really enjoyed the food. The service was good and the staff were very attentive. If this restaurant maintains these standards and value for money I will be a regular visitor.

Was delighted to see a restaurant like this in my neighbourhood. Very good service, polite and pleasant staff who are genuinely interested in your opinion on the food, improvements, etc. Food was very good, I liked mushroom rice, korma and peshawari naan bread. Will definitely become a regular!

Five stars all round. This restaurant is brand new. It is deceptive from the outside, and when we were pleasantly surprised. The decor was lovely. The manager greeted us and made us feel really welcome. Everyone in our group was impressed with the place, the staff and all of our meals. The standard of the food was really high. A great night was had by all. We will be back regularly. Especially for their belly dancing evenings which should be something new and completely different? Would recommend this restaurant.
