Went here for dinner, got a beef meatballs and classic Italian cold meat platter. Meatballs was nice but only warm, cold meat platter was nice but a bit expensive consider how much meat was on the plate tho. Got Etna for main which was spicy and delicious! The guy who serviced us was very polite and kept checking if we were ok.

You can't go wrong with Milano's really for a bit of banter and atmosphere, although, what used to be vouchers of "buy one get one free" has now changed to "25% discount". As a run of the mill pizza place is it expensive if you were not to have a voucher, and that is the only reason why I go. Pizza's are second to none, but the wine - €8.95 for a glass of wine? Madness!

Went for a cheap & cheerful with the kids. Kids can be cruel & critical and say it as it is, the place was busy food was functional and the comments were we should have ordered Dominoes. Overall I found it fine and fulfilled our requirements

I visited here after work, midweek for a dinner with a friend. I love the menu, especially for its low calorie pizzas and desserts, and the great selection of salads. I had a bosco salad. consisting of rocket, spinach, mushrooms, advocado, goats cheese and vine tomatoes. I ordered it with extra chicken, and it was delicious. I especially love the breadsticks that the salads are served with, as they always ensure that you're filled up after the meal. The waiter serving us was friendly, but the restaurant was clearly under staffed, and after waiting patiently for ages to order our coffees with no joy, we decided just to get the bill and leave. Bit of a disappointing way to end the evening, however, everything else about the experience was satisfactory.

Popped in here after a hard days shopping, and was impressed as usual with both the food and staff. Although it was busy on a Saturday evening they accommodated us with a table near the prep area, so I could watch all the pizzas being made. I love their dough balls and always have to ask for extra garlic butter to dip my pizza crusts into. I like the new Romano dough bases which are long and thin. Get yourself a hi-life a card and you will get buy on get one free on main courses all year so it makes Milano's prices a bit more affordable as otherwise you could end up dropping €50 to €75 for 2 even with just one glass of wine.

Visited this restaurant at 5 pm on a busy Sunday evening. Service was excellent, staff could not do enough. Food was great and children's menu very good value. My only complaint, alcohol is too pricey, in particular wine... but overall would definitely return.

Have always heard good things about this restaurant and decided to give it a try and it was exactly how I heard. It was absolutely delicious and they accomopdated the two of us and room for our buggy. The staff were very friendly and attentive and they had some great deals. The food was prepared beautifully and I would highly recommend it to others.

On a lovely sunny Saturday afternoon I enjoyed a glass of wine with friends. I wasn’t hungry enough for pizza but decided on two starters! The bruschetta and salad were lovely and the girls enjoyed their pizzas. The service was great. I realised I should take advantage of the dining facilities in Dundrum more so than the shopping in the future!

I had lunch here today with a friend. We didn't even have any time to look around Dundrum shopping Centre as it took about two hours to have a salad and coffee due to the absolutely atrocious service. We both had salads which were tasteless and cost around €14 euro each. Luckily I had a voucher so we only had to pay for one meal. We will definitely not be returning.

Me and my girlfriend went here and it was my first time ever in Milano's! I must say our waiter was the best. I could not fault his service. We sat at the tables by the water so can not comment on the Atmosphere inside the resturant, but to have teenagers who are not eating at the resturant sit at the next table, singing and messing around certainly took away from the atmosphere. The mushroom pancetta we shared as a starter and it was so so good, I had an Americano for the main course and asked for some black olives to be added, not much were added. I wasnt crazy about the cost. felt some offer could have been on the go. Pre-theater special offer or something.

I think this place is potentially good but just has too many flaws, downstairs is super noisey, the food can take a VERY long time and the waiter's don't really seem to give two hoot's about you. All that being said i think the pizza is actually really high grade, one of the best in dublin actually, i got buffalo mozzarella, chicken, artichoke and garlic oil and it really was very good as was the cheescake which it turned out costed 7 euro and you finish in about 5 bites so the place is a bit of a rip off.

Went here with a bunch of girlfriends one Friday nigh and we were treated appallingly. They took our orders eventually and after 1 and half hours the food arrived. But they couldn't remember who order what at that stage so we all had to look at our menus and try and remember. Shocking and the staff don't seem to care. Over priced and a remnant of the celtic tiger bad service.

Visited Milano Dundrum on a Friday at around 6.30....wont be repeating the experience again in a hurry! As would be expected the place was busy however the design/decor of the restaurant means that when its noisy.....its really noisy!! Sound seems to reverberate around the place. There were a lot of families with young children/babies and they all seemed to screaming for their food at the same time!! That aside, service was good if nothing impressive. Pizzas were adequate but really nothing special and I do feel the standard has dropped in this restaurant over the past year. Will be visiting a different local Pizzeria next time.

So disappointing! I usually love Milano, before a movie or for a midweek dinner but it has gone drastically downhill. The service was terribly slow, the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing or who was supposed to be covering what section. The pizzas were tasty enough, but not very warm. We didn't bother to send them back as we would have been waiting an age to get them back! I won't be going back in a hurry.

Went to Milano's last thurs for my daughters birthday, have been to lots of these restaurants but this was our first time in Dundrum and was very disappointed. The place was packed and the staff seemed unable to cope. When we arrived it took an age to order, we eventually got our starters, the plates were left ages on the table and then the waiter came with the mains. He seemed very put out when we pointed out that the starter dishes were still on the table and we needed new cutlery, he was quite rude. Again took ages to order desert, which was only one tirimusu and 3 expressos and when this arrived the coffee was luke warm. When we eventually got the bill, we had been overcharged by ten euro for a bottle of wine. This was rectified but again the waiter wasnt a bit nice about it. The food is always gorgeous in any Milano's but the staff in Dundrum are a lot to be desired, I wont be back.

Dropped in for a pizza and a coffee before heading to the cinema. Very disappointing! I ordered the sloppy giuseppe which is supposed to have hot spicy beef on it. There was beef on it but it most certainly was not spicy,. The pizza itself was lukewarm and far from crisp. Husbands was the same. Ordered a couple of coffees and again they were only lukewarm. Service was slow and slapdash. Wouldnt rush back. Only reason I didnt send the food and coffee back was that we were in a rush for the cinema. Well I say we were in a rush - we got there an hour before the show but the service was so slow we only got out 10 mins before the show was due to start.

Nice lunch here - to start we shared the dough balls, then for my main I had a pizza, with pepperoni, peppers and mushrooms. My mate had a pizza with pineapple, ham and peppers. Both were excellent, it was busy too, and as always the service was prompt and friendly. Nice spot, and very reasonable. A recession friendly restaurant!

Met a friend here for a long lunch and good chat. It was 2pm so the place was fairly quite apart from 4 other tables, but they must have had a busy lunch as there where about 7 or so dirty tables around. We got a nice table by the window. We had the dough balls and garlic bread followed by 2 American on Romana bases. The thing I like about Milano is the food always tastes the same and it is as it says on the menu, so you always know what you are getting. We had to glasses of wine (Cab Sauv) which was nice. We skipped dessert and had two Macchiato's which tasted a little too sharp ( maybe the machine needed a rinse after the lunch rush) The service was a little on the slow side but the waitress seem a little stressed she was the only one on the floor was trying to keep her eye on the door and service tables and make coffee and get wine, while trying to clean up after lunch. I wanted some more black pepper at one stage but I was afaird to ask the poor girl as she was busy. A manager did pass by and see where we ok, which I always like. But I only seen her once in the 1.5 hours we where there. Maybe she should have asked the waitress was she ok instead. Like I said it does what it says and I will be back.

Went on a Sunday evening with our 3 kids for pizza/pasta. The place was packed and tables too close together for comfort. There were lots of families there with small children like ourselves and yet there were couples seated all around us. I pitied them as they can't have had a very peaceful meal. It would have made sense to seat them upstairs or away from all the families. The food is expensive for what you get (the pizzas are very average) and the kids choices are not great. There is definitely better value and taste to be had in other pizza venues!

We go here often...great value for money especially with their email offers. Food is consistently good, my favourite is the Antipasto starter(great for sharing) and the Calbrese pizza....super spicy! really good wines available, perfect for all those girly chats! The staff are always very welcoming and extremely helpful. I'll be going back again soon!

Went here for my mothers in laws birthday and none of us were impressed. All 7 of us thought it was awful. The place was dead, the food was extremely bland, the portions were too small and its way overpriced. A man beside us gave us a voucher to get one main course free, but even with that the bill was massive! Cant say much for the staff as it was so hard to get their attention even though they werent busy. Will not be returning again.

I came here with my family (party of 12) in the evening. 2 members ordered the Lasagne and they BOTH had human hair in them. They were very apologetic and didn't charge for them but it really wasn't good. The food wasn't particularly hot either and when they apologised about the hair in the lasagne they said they came in prepackaged so there was nothing they could do. Had we known it was prepackaged we'd have bought one in Tesco and microwaved it at home rather than pay €€€. Our desserts arrived over a half hour period all at different times and most of us had finished our desserts before trying to make them last while we waited for tea and coffee, They failed to tell us they only had one piece of cheesecake left when we all ordered and only told us this when one of the slices had been both served and eaten! The upstairs where we were sitting was extremely short staffed and I felt sorry for our waitress who looked stressed, hot and bothered. None of us will be rushing back here.

Very disappointed. Myself and my boyfriend were here on a Thursday. We were seated imediatly by a polite waitress. After that things started going downhill. Our table was right in front of the door. We had to keep our coats on for the duration of our stay as every time somebody entered or left a sharp wind would catch our table. Our waiter was quite inattentive. He didn't seem to notice our arrival, we waited a good 15 minutes to order. We were also quite close to the waiting service area and so we heard all the staff complaining and gossiping. I must admit, the food was quite tasty, but also the pricing was quite steep. We waited a long time to be served our main dishes which were cleared away promtly, but yet again we were left waiting maybe 15 more minutes to order dessert. After our waiter went missing again we had to go find him to pay our bill. The food was very good overall, but the staff here really let the place down. They give you a card on the way out with a code to a website where you can go write a review, but our waiter gave us an expired code, probably realising the bad service he gave!

This was very disappointing. The kids menu was 8.50 and drink was another €3 which came to €11.50. This was not good value. When I asked the waitress that the kids only wanted pizza and dessert, She told me that the kids would be charged €7 for the pizza and hence better off going for the kids menu. Their starter were little breads which were only ok and kids were not really interested in them. Their pizza was ok but their desserts were not great. They were small and they did not have all the syrups(only 3!) that they advertised. My husband had pollo chicken and there was about 3 small pieces of chicken in it. When he said it to the waitress, she said that is all you get! He returned it uneaten. I think this is the first time my husband has ever returned a meal. I had the sloppy guiesppe pizza and again the meat was so sparse on it that you could see the base. I didn't have any drink but my husband had a beer. It all came to about €70 and a hungry husband which is not good!!! This is not good value for a family and bad quality food restaurant. We will not be returning here.

An unplanned visit after an attempt to Christmas shop. 3 of us called in and put our name down for a table, and popped over the road for a drink. When we came back we were seated promptly and browsed the menu. As you can imagine at that time of year in Dundrum it was very busy so there was a nice atmosphere. We all had bruschetta or garlic bread style starters, all were delicious. I had the Goats cheese pizza, which on ordering money is donated to an Oxfam appeal, I felt that was a nice extra. One of us opted for Pasta and that also got the thumbs up. We shared a bottle of white wine which was a lovely addition to the meal. There was a slight wait to get the attention of someone for the bill, and in the end we did have to got to the desk to pay, however this didn't spoil a nice casual evening out.

Went here for a friends birthday. There were 5 of us all together. Very tasty food but the starters are very overpriced at 6.50 for one piece of bruschetta. The pasta dish I had was really good and a big portion. Main meals are good value. Dinner was €120 for 5 mains, 2 starters, 2 beers, a bottle of wine and a coke. The service here is excellent, very polite and friendly staff. I would definately eat here again.

Place has a nice laidback atmosphere, staff was attentive enough, but I had a terrible food experience with one of the items on the menu. I`ve ordered the special pizza Calabrese that is said to be hot and served on a thin and crispy dough. Calabrese is by far one of my favourite sausages used on pizza. But what I got was far disappointing. The pizza looked fine, but the dough was very soggy, there wasn`t much of the Calabrese sausage on the pizza and the worst of it all: the hot factor, described on the menu, is actually a extremelly spicy mix of chillies that gets your face red and numbs all your pallate. With only one bite, I felt my head was going to explode, and there was my dinner ruined. It`s a great idea to mix the Calabrese sausage with a bit of heat, but the pizza was very badly executed by the chef.

Sunday lunch with friends sitting outside in the sun here was so enjoyable. Our waiter couldn't have been more accomodating. The menu is extensive so everyone in the group was happy with their varied choices. I also like that they are innovative with their menu, it's constantly evolving and keeping things interesting for regulars. And it still manages to keep the right amount of old favourites. The highlight of my meal was the excellent idea of 'dolcetti-...selection of small but perfectly formed desserts. Served with coffee'. So you get something sweet without pigging out on a full dessert. I had the delicious chocolate one. So good I would even contemplate just popping in for a dolcetti to revive me in between shopping!

We came here on a Thursday afternoon around 2.30 for a late lunch, there were 4 of us and a baby in a pram. We were seated pretty quickly given the restaurant was quite busy, they ensured we had a good seat so that we could tuck the pram away. We had a main and a dessert. The food is always good here, and is even better when they have special offers by email. Our two courses cost us €14.95 each which was really good value. The restaurant is really child friendly, my sister needed to change baby and she told us that the restaurant even provides nappies!! I'd recommend this place for a casual lunch

Good spot for casual dining. Sitting outside beside the pond is nice on a sunny day. Food is mediocre, My chicken salad lacked both chicken and imagination, and my daughters pizza was just about ok. Overall a lukewarm dining experience. Would'nt be rushing back.

Milano do the best pizza in Dublin and the branch in Dundrum is no different. It is much louder than all the other branches I have been to though, so it is not the ideal place for catching up with friends. Being a vegetarian, I have plenty of choices and went for the one with goat's cheese, spinach and caramelised onions, it was delicious!

I went with my 2 sister's before a movie for an early dinner and we were all very happy with our food, we had between us for staters a ceser salad mushroom bruschetta and a mozzerela and tomato salad and for mian course we all had various pizza's with salad's in the middle which made them much lighter, the service was very good only thing that surprised us was the forwardness of the waiter whom after we'd paid our bill and were still sitting at the table helped himself to the tip right on front of us and added it to a roll of notes in his pocket !!

I have been here countless times and it never really disappoints! The food is always great and I lover the hustle and bustle atmosphere. The only downside is the staff always seem rushed off their feet and trying their best but do not come here if you are on a tight schedule or for your lunch if your tied to your one hour!

I have been to Milanos loads of times and i always think of it as somewhere cheap and cheerful. Not particularly exciting food but always a safe bet. Sunday was my first time going to the one in Dundrum. Myself and my boyfriend popped in for a quick dinner before heading to the cinema. The place had no atmosphere at all. This may have been because it was early in the evening but it was packed even at that time. It had about the level of atmosphere you would expect from a burger king. The service was fine, they were busy but we were not waiting for too long. The main problem we had was with the food. I ordered a chicken pizza which was fine, nothing special but nothing wrong with it either. My boyfriend ordered the lasagne and i have seen bigger childrens portions of food. The must be rationing the mince in there because the lasagne had one layer of mince about a milimetre in thickness sandwiched between two pieces of pasta with some runny sauce and cheese on top. its shocking to think that a restaurant can get away with serving such ridiculous portions of food. I always thought of Milanos as really good value so it was quite a shock to the system to leave the place grumbling about being ripped off. I will not be back.

Handy spot to pop into for casual eating. Great range in the menu. I'm a particular fan of the healthier pizzas available though in general the food isn't overly special. I have always found Milano to be have a lively atmosphere and attentive service.

I came to Milanos for a work night out so I was not paying much attention to the price. The food was nice and the staff took good care of us. I found it a little difficult to understand the waiters at times as there english was not great. We ordered a few bottles of wine before they finished and they did not rush us at all which was unusual. There is a fountain outside which is lovely in summer and right beside Dundrumb shopping centre. There is a taxi rank and a classie bar within two minutes walk.

I have visited Milano on numerous occassions and have always found it to be he same. Its good for what it is, but its not brilliant. On this occassion 2 of my friends pizzas were burnt but hte waitress was happy to take them back and returned with 2 freshly made pizzas. Service was a little slow but they were quite busy. Overall i would gice this a good rating as somewhere nice to go for something casual.I find the wine a little on the pricey side for the restaurant.Good choice of pizza's available. Will definitly be going back

This is my favourite of all the Milano's. The atmosphere is always good, lively, buzzy. Service as always was excellent and they were very accomodating when I wanted to substitute toppings. A great pit-stop pre-cinema/theatre or great for a catch up adfter a hard day's shopping!

Always nice to eat here. The food is remarkable and never disappoints me. We ate here for a hen party recently & everyone enjoyed the food. Each dish was full of fresh ingredients and flavour. The staff are always friendly & keen to help with any special requests. One thing that I never noticed until now is that there's no alternative to Italian at all so if someone in your group doesn't like pasta or pizza at all then it's unlucky. Although, I personally don't know anyone who doesn't but apparently some people in our group didn't like either!!! Has always been a pleasure to eat there.

Had heard great things about this busy spot adjacent to the Dundrum Shopping Centre and went there with high expectations. It did not dissappoint. The place was very busy and had a nice bussling atmosphere. The staff were fine, not over the top or overattentive which was to be expected given how busy the place was, The starter of doughballs was to die for. Seriously fresh and tasty doughballs served with garlic butter. Simple but delicious. Main pizza was good quality, thin base, tasty sauce. Dessert of choc fudge cake was lovely but i thought it would have been nicer heated. Overall a very good experience and I will go back.

Came here on a wednesday night and was suprised how busy it was for mid week, we had to wait around 10 minutes for a table. The menu is quite large with alot of choices, in my opinion there is too much reading in the menu and is quite time consuming to get through. Food was delicious I had dough balls to start which is a must if you go to Milano's they are so tasty. All four of us had pizza which we all loved no bad complaints about the food at all. Service was quite slow which was understandable as it was busy but later in the night when there was only us and another table left the service was still very slow. Overall had a good meal and good night, will definatly return again and would reccomend Milano's to everyone.

Wasn't impressed. Service dreadful, waited for ages for order to be taken. Was about half 2 so presumably can be put down to lunchtime rush. Waiter was obviously new, not very efficient. Brought our stater to the table halfway through our main course & mumbled smth. before he ran off. Pizza was quite wet & soggy. Shocked at experience as I go to other Milano's quite regularly & am always impressed. Had voucher so meal v good value. Probably won't go back if I was in Dundrum. Would probably try elsewhere.

Went here last night with a friend after some shopping and was very pleasantly surprised. We had a voucher for offer of €15 for starter, main and glass of wine, limited choices obviously on this offer but was fantastic. Plenty to choose from and the pizza was the nicest I've had.The place was buzzing for a Tuesday night. Service was friendly and very efficient. Lovely table with views at the window. Will definitely be back.

Try to get a table at the window, nice views and a good spot for people watching. We had a voucher,so our meal was excellent value.Tasty food and decent portions.Service is fast, but does not seem genuinely friendly. With a bit of work on the friendliness and a bit of inprovement on the decor, this place could be top notch.

Went here with friends last night and it was half and half. Good quality food but very little for a ceoliac / non meat lovers. They consentrate very much on pasta and Pizza, which they really should expand on to attract more business. I had to go for a salad which was ok and they didn't serve Mayo which i had to go for salad dressing. Over all it has good service, friendly staff but a very limited menu.

Have Sunday lunch here. A bit pricey for small portions - 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 minerals cost €49. Nothing spectacular. Very busy spot though with friendly service.

Very disappointing. The only good thing about the visit to Milano's was the friendly service. Both our pizza's were so undercooked that they were of a dough consistency. There is no atmosphere in this restaurant and it was cold, it only serves to make you leave as soon as you have finished your meal. Won't be returning.

Had dinner here on Saturday night. Had their doughballs and goats cheese salad. Very good value with a decent reasonable wine menu. The food did take quite a long time but the staff were very apologetic and aware of the wait. Would definitely recommend. Good food at a good price!

Wasn't too long waiting for a table without a reservation and was able to sit outside under the heaters with a glass of wine and an italian beer while we did. The pizzas were great as usual and the chocolate glory was even better! I would have enjoyed it alot more though if it wasn't for our waiter who seemed keen to get us out as quickly as possible.Felt like he was hovering over us the entire night.

I stopped in here after some shopping on Sunday evening with my partner. We got a seat almost straight away which was great as it was quite busy. The building itself is all hard surfaces and so echoed loudly with children crying etc. I could hardly hear my partner across the table. The food is okay but not great value for what you get. The doughballs are to die for though! I should have just ordered them. Staff were busy but curteuous. I wouldn't be racing back here. I much prefer their outlet in Dun Laoghaire.

There are many Milanos in Dublin and a certain service and quality of food is expected from them. Dundrum does not disappoint. The menu is broad and all items seem tasty in their own way. Pizzas come how you like them and are reasonable in price. Wine list is extensive and offers good value also. Service is prompt and friendly. Overall I was impressed and my opinion of the milano chain was solidified.

My friend and I went for a late lunch to escape the madness of the Christmas shopping and catch up. The restaurant was not too busy but we didn't feel we got great service. Our waiter came twice to take away our plates before I was finished my meal. Food was very nice, but it would be great if they changed their menu a little more often.

Surprisingly nice wines served by the glass, and choice of volumes! Priced realistically too - in relation to the bottle price - that's a nice change! Pizzas are - well, pizzas! They are quite good, but not remarkable. Coffee, desert all okay. Service good, but we had to change tables because of the draft from the air conditioning/heating. This is a cheap (well comparatively speaking!)and cheerful restaurant. You may not want to linger, but you will be reasonably well & quickly fed.

Milanos has more of a cafe vibe than restaurant vibe and is the perfect place for a meal to catch up with friends/family. The service is great & food is reasonably priced. Although I personally find the menu somehwat limited as the range of pasta dishes offered is few and far between, but if you like your pizza, Milanos is the place to go. I tried the Leggera range and was pleasantly surprised. Not too filling, just enough. Milano's food is value for money although it's a shame they have not brought out a slightly more reasonable menu as an early bird offer. I also dislike that you are unable to reserve a table and have on occassions been sent off for up to an hour before they call me back to advise a table is ready. It's not a fancy restaurant or a place to take a date, but you get what you pay for and this is the perfect place to eat with friends.

My girlfriend always talks about Milano’s, as she goes quiet regularly for lunch, but until Friday I had never been. They don’t take bookings on a Friday for parties with less than 7 people. We had to wait for 15 mins for a free table, so not too bad. There is no early bird special, but we had a voucher for 2 for 1 main course. The restaurant was busy, but the staff were attentive, our waiter was friendly and helpful. We both went for a starter which I can’t remember the name of, but it was risotto rice balls in breadcrumbs. When they arrived, they were lukewarm, and lacked in flavour, as did the accompanying dip. So a disappointing starter, most likely re-heated. On to the mains, we both went for the Romano pizza bases which were impressive, very light and thin, reasonably crispy too. I had the diavola pizza (‘devilishly hot with………’), which was very tasty, but not spicy at all. We ended with the combo coffee and ice cream, which was lovely. Overall, it was reasonable fair, but I did have higher expectations from the Theo Randall backed chain. Also beware the glasses of wine are expensive! I would go back, but just for the pizzas.

I went to Milano's yesterday with a friend and as usual it was a very nice experience. We went in around 7.30 and it was packed - they said about 20 mins for a table but they rang us within 10 mins. We were sitting near the window which didn't have a nice view but that didn't really bother me. I shared a portion of olives with my friend - nicely seasoned and tasty. They now take the stones out, big improvement! I had the La Reine pizza - could maybe do with a few more olives on it but otherwise it was tasty. It was a little too soft in the middle - bit diffcult to manoeuvre but I managed it! Nice buzz in the restaurant and the staff were great - we never had to try too hard to get attention and neither were they hanging over us even though they were busy and under pressure for seats. We had a voucher for 2 mains for 15 euro so really it was astounding good value!

I visited Milano's for a quick bite to eat with my boyfriend, we had to wait ten minutes for a table, once seated we were served quickly, the pizza was nice, my boyfriend created his own margarita with chicken, tomato, ham, mozzarella. we were seated two rows from the door and with the constant coming and going we were cold, we had to put our coats on! . We asked any several waiters to close the door at different times and closed it ourselves. something needs to be looked at as several diners were complaining of the cold also. when we got our bill the pizza with had the added topping came in quite expensive as the toppings were costly, the waiter was lovely and pointed out a different pizza which we could change that would be the same as we had ordered and coming to cheaper for us next time , I thought this was very good service!

This is one of those places that one would pop into for a quick and easy bite to eat. The food was inoffensive but nondescript, a standard, basic Italian fare with little innovative flair. A cheap place, given a comparison to other restaurants in Dublin, but you do get what you pay for. Wines overpriced. The atmosphere was very, very poor. Apart from ourselves, there were very few people there and the place had the air of a large dining hall rather than a restaurant. A fine place for a convenient and somewhat satisfying dinner, but for dates or special occassions, give it a miss.

Even though it was quite busy in Milano they quickly found us a table and made us feel relaxed and not rushed - the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was great the meat platter for 2 was really nice and the salads were great the wine was a little overpriced for the quality but the venue was great and would be very happy to go back again!

Not much to say about Milano...if you go here you probably know what to expect. This branch in Dundrum was busy on Wed night, but we only had to wait less than 10 mins for a table for 2 - we were able to order wine in the waiting area. The service all round was excellent, from the friendly lady at reception through to the waiters - couldn't fault it. You know what the food is - we both ordered pizza - mine was the Romana (thin base), while my partner had a regular pizza variety but on the Romana base - no problem with doing this, I'm glad to say. Both pizzas were excellent. One weird thing about Milano is its penchant for strangely specific ingredient descriptions e.g. "santos" tomatoes..??? Some of these sound suspiciously made up, but we enjoy looking for new ones when we go, so please keep doing it Milano. With lots of wine, the bill was over €65, which for 2 pizzas can't be called good value, but we had a good midweek night out, with decent food.

I love sitting outside Milano in Dundrum with friends, it has a great vibe accompanied by a lovely sound of water. I had been at night a few times and Sunday afternoons. I swore Id never go back on a Sunday because it was swarming with young kids and quite expensive for what you get. However, they have introduced a 12.50 lunch with a main course and a drink. I had the romano based florentine pizza and a glass of house red. It was absolutely delcious but we still had to pay the extra 1.55 for the romano base on top of the lunch price. I would certainly return again for this offer.

Ate here on a Sun about 6pm. The wine I ordered was unavailable as was the shrimp pizza! Ordered another pizza and asked for a small portion of the creme fraiche and tomato sauce on the side. When the bill came I had been charged €3.75 extra for the sauce which was actually tomato sauce in one dish and mayonnaise in the other! My husband ordered the ice-cream desssert and got the figs!! I think a small gesture would have been in order - such as a glass of wine on the house - but that's not usual in Ireland. it appears we should put up and shut up with poor service. On the positive side the staff were very nice and friendly.

Ate here this evening, after receiving a 2 for 1 voucher from my phone company. We put our name down for a table and were called back in about 20 mins. It was packed, quite noisy but not overly so. Our waiter was very attentive. I had read previous reviews and was almost epecting bad service and rudeness upon arrival! Thankfully this was not the case! We ordered 2 pizzas, one Romana(thin base) nd 1 regular. Both were exceptionally good. Food is reasonably priced but the drinks are way over priced. Over €3 for a bottle of coke, seems a bit pricey. Was very happy with our dining experience all in all!!

I visited here yesterday after a nice shopping trip in Dundrum, I really do like Milano's and I hate to do this but I will not be back here again, we were seated quickly but were left sitting with out menu's for 20 mins without anyone coming with as much as a glass of water! The two of us ordered pizza and after another lengthy wait they arrived and mine was cold??? I just got on with it as by the time we got someone's attention it was too late, they did speed up though as soon as I put the fork down after eating the plates were gone and we were asked did we want tea/coffe/the bill!!!? talk about pushing us out the door! I would recommend the Limerick branch but I won't be coming here again.

Ate hear late Sunday afternoon after a few hours strolling around Dundrum. It was a wet miserable afternoon & the experience here did nothing to lift the wet mood. This felt like an expensive version of a fast food outlet. I realise that Milano is a family restaurant & is fairly cheap affair. However the food & service was well below par. The restaurant itself is a large room, packed with tables & chairs – resembled a workplace canteen. The noise level was so high I could scarcely hear my fellow diner. I asked for salad for starter – out comes a bland salad of lettuce, 2 pieces of cucumber & half a tomato. No dressing what so ever. After asking 3 different waiters for some dressing, I finally got what was the worst most acidic vinegar dressing I ever tasted. My mains of lasagne was fine, nice rich amount of meat in between the layers of pasta. So overall the service was poor, the ambiance poor, the layout awful & the food was bland & unmemorable. Not good.

Milano in Dundrum is exactly what you'd expect from a Milano restaurant. They're normally fairly busy so the atmosphere is good but can be a bit noisy, especially when there are kids or when seated too close to a food or drinks preparation area; the food and service are very good, and overall it's fairly good value. No complaints, and an enjoyable meal.

I have loved this place in the past, although, I have been there a couple of recently and I haven't been impressed. I will have to go here again before I knock it completely as it has been tasty in the past.

Went to Milanos in Dundrum last night and it was lovely. We had no wait, we got seated straight away. The service was good throughout the meal, our waiter was very pleasant. I got the Americano pizza and it really nice. All three of our party got pizza and all enjoyed! We had the 2 for 1 vouchers so all in all, it was great value for what we got! I'll definitely be back. The only downside is they don't take bookings.

Was in Dundrum and we decided to go to Milano's for food when we arrived at the door no one came to us for at least five mins and when the girl came over she didnt even look at us just shouted 'there's a 25 min wait' and turned on her heels and walked away didnt even wait for us to say yes or no. I will never return after the rudeness of that girl

Took my son here after the movies for lunch today. He ordered a Margaherita pizza and I ordered the eggplant parm. The eggplant parm. was nice, however there was not a lot of eggplant in the dish. More eggplant and the dish would've been absolutely perfect. We also had olives and garlic bread for starters. My son loved the pizza and the garlic bread. My dish was nice, but I preferred the leggera pizza that I had in Temple Bar the last time I visited Milano. Overall the food is very nice here in Milano Dundrum too.

I love Milanos, Dundrum. I go here on a regular basis. It always has a really nice atmosphere, the food is fantastic every time and the staff are all very friendly. The only bad thing I would say about the place, which is not the restaurants fault, but the view onto the unfinished building site out the back is not the best. It would be lovely to have something nicer to look at, though the yummy food makes up for that. I would thoroughly recommend Milanos to anyone.

This was the first time I went to Milanos in Dundrum and I was very impressed. Myself and my boyfriend went for a quick bite to eat before going to the cinema. We have a promotion voucher - buy one main course and get on free which left this meal very cheap. We both got a pizza each and they were fab. the restaurant was very busy and it had a great athmosphere. The staff were really friendly and made sure that everything was okay. We'll defo go back soon

We live on the door step of Dundrum and eat here regularly if we don't have time to cook. I always really like to eat here. Service is always fine, and it is generally quite busy, and I enjoy the buzz of this. We only had really slow service on one occasion, and then some items were subtracted from the bill. My only gripe would be that sometimes they simply run out of things on the menu.

What can you say about Milano's? This is good, simple, tasty food and the key thing that they have gotten right for this day and age is the price. I went with my girlfriend and decided to go with a main and dessert instead of a starter/main or the greedy starter/main/dessert :) Don't be put off by the name, the Sloppy Giuseppe is delicious and even better if you add spinach. There's also only one dessert for me, the baked cheese cake. Fed and full for under €40 for both of us. Atmosphere isn't fantastic as there's more of a cafe feel to the place but for the price I can hardly complain.

It's a nice spot but for some reason wouldn't take bookings for groups of 4, we were going for my sisters birthday and wanted to be sure of getting a table when the cinema was out. In the end it wasn't too busy so this wasn't an issue, however despite it being quiet the service was very slow. (Although the staff were nice) We were waiting over 20mins for 3 dough balls, but was worth the wait as these are delicious! Again we were waiting a while for mains- though not as long, got the Leggera pizza, not as big or heavy as a full pizza, but very delicious! Cherry tomatoes are used to full effect, only complaint is the salad in the centre is very rocket heavy(not a fan of rocket). Sister and her friend shared a pizza which was slightly burnt but they seemed to enjoy it. Mother got a bruchetta with tomatoes, red onion and pesto. It was on a very large doughy base and swimming in pesto. Not the nicest! Not bad value, this place would be lot more appealing if service was quicker, have heard others complain about this before. Dough balls and leggera pizzas though are the stars of the menu that give the restaurant some edge.

I went with my boyfriend to have a quick meal which is exactly what I got. He of course ordered a margarita so it would be hard to go wrong with that! the size of it though was just right for him he said which must be true as he finished it but couldn't stretch to dessert. I had lasagne which was ok but nothing spectacular. the atmosphere was grand too, i think it was just because there no buzz as it was a bit quiet as it was early evening. much prefer sitting upstairs to down as its much brighter and you can see all in the kitchen. overall it was good especially for the money.

Sat on the patio here on sunday with my partner. Glorious sunshine. Thye were very busy and it took 20 minutes to take our order and another 30til we ate. However the food was delicious. My boyfriend got a fresh pizza with chicken and peppers which he loved. I had the salad with garlic mushrooms. My main problem with it was although I asked for the dressing on the side, I got dressingon the side but the leaves were dressed in olive oil...bit pointless but still pretty tasty. Good red wine and good big glass. My partner ordered a diet coke but got a coke and didnt want to wait while trying to send it back. Will definitely return beacuse the food is good but not for a quick bite to eat

Was here on Bank Holiday Monday and while it was a busy day, it just seemed totally unorganised. There were people queueing at the door, people with reservations, the hostess was trying to keep on top of it all and it just seemed to be somewhat chaotic and lacked direction and yet there were plenty of empty tables in the restaurant? We put our names down for a table and were told they'd phone us in approx 25 mins with a table. We shopped for about 45 mins and went back to the restaurant to wait another 10 mins to get a table. The food was decent but the service overall was very slow.

I visited Milano in Dundrum on Bank Holiday Monday. It too a while to be seated as they seemed to be really busy! Once we were seated everything was fine. We all had starters and main courses. Great Deal for Kids at €8.50 for starter main and dessert! Overall the service was a bit slow but great value for money!! Would go again!

I visited here with a friend recently and we had starters, a pizza each and a bottle of wine, we had a voucher for €60 and when we asked for the bill we were surprised to find that we hadn't even spent all of it so we got coffee and that helped us out. Food is really tasty, they have some ingredients on there pizza's I have never heard of before never mind tasted! I would recommend a trip to this restaurant, I will defo. be going again.

Went here on easter saturday with the kids and as always food was great, it has such a laid back atmosphere too that you can relax and enjoy your meal even if the kids are making a little bit of noise. Such a family restaurant. Food was great, service was just a little slower that usual but I expect that was as it was easter weekend. Kids menu great value and every bit was eaten. Well Done as usual!

Buzzing atmosphere the night we were there, very busy for a random Thursday night. The food at Milanos is always quite decent, their bruschetta is fantastic and could nearly do for a meal on its own! The Sloppy Giuseppe pizza is my favourite for a bit of spice, usually hard to finish and all for a reasonable price. My one complaint is that the service was not as attentive as it could have been, I understand that it was busy but it took a long time to get the bill and we had to approach the waitress ourselves to pay so that we could leave.

I really like the food in Milanos. My favourites on the menu are the dough balls to start and the Nicoise salad. The bread is amazing. Ok there isn't much choice on the menu but I think most people tend to have a favourite here and stick to it.. The service is good and the prices aren't bad at all. The only thing I don't like about it is the cafe style it has. But I go here at least twice a month.

We always get excellent food here. The Bruschetta is always so fresh and delicious. Only downside for us is the fact that there are usually a lot of children in the restaurant, and the high ceilings make it quite noisy. But would definitely put up with the noise as the food and service are great.

Got there just in time to take advantage of their great value lunch special, €12.95 for a main course and a glass of good wine. I had the Funghi di Bosco (wild mushroom) pizza on a very thin base (for a small supplement). The pizza was massive but so light, I didn't feel stuffed at all, and the toppings were generous and tasty. My friend had a Pollo Salad which comes with the most irresistible focaccia strips. On this occasion the restaurant was quite empty but not unpleasantly so. We find the tables are not very well laid out in the main section so on really busy days waiters and other patrons are constantly bumping off one's chair. Also, a high tolerance for small children is required - the acoustics tend to amplify all sounds and it's a really popular place for young parents, especially on the weekends.

Very disappointing. We were told there was a 20min wait. When we returned we were ushered to our table ahead of another couple who had been ahead of us. As we sat checking out the menu we observed 4-5 free tables but a large queue of people being forced to wait??!! The bruschetta that was previously reason enough to visit has gone downhill - it was cold and served with chopped tomato - not the juicy cherry tomatoes they previously used. The main course was ok - on a par with any other pizzeria. Milanos pizzas used to be something special. Service was really good - quick, friendly and the above cold bruschettas were dealt with quickly and efficiently without a fuss. Never seems to be up to standard of other branches!

This location is not on a par with any other Milanos I have been in. The waitor seemed to forget about us, and we had to keep calling him. Got the garlic dough balls which are usually nice but this time burnt, and pizza for main which was fine. Dissappointing

Have eaten in Milano's a few times and was really disappointed on this occassion. Ordered bruschetta to start which arrived stone cold. Our waiter apologised and brought back a second one which was only marginally warmer. We shared a pizza for our main course, which also arrived stone cold. We tried for some time to get the waiters attention to take it back but failed. Won't be rushing back.

Middle of the road Italian which, in my opinion, offers very average, uninspiring food. The service and atmosphere are always good, but the standard of food seems to have declined with more locations opening. In Dundrum, two of a group of 10 had to send back dishes. The rest were again average.

nice casual restaurant for pizza or salad, the new selection of same is v good, especially the bosco salad, and all salads come with dough sticks. Pastas and deserts appear to be bought in as opposed to made on the premises and are not great. Also the front of the restaurant can be quite cold, so sit at back or upstairs if possible.

Nice enough casual restuarant. Went here for a quick bite before the cinema and got pretty much what I expected. The service is not great at all, I had to get the waiters attention when asking for both the menus and to order. The food is nice enough, we got a pizza and pasta, don't have any complaints there. After finishing the meal I had to ask the waitor fot the bill and go up to the till to pay - I'm not sure if this is their general practice or not? I'd go back to milanos for a casual meal or a lunch, definately not one for special occasions.

Met a friend here after Chrimbo shopping. Arrived alone as my friend works in the Centre. Stood at the door for a full 5 minutes while staff faffed about at the service counter. Eventually went over to ask if I should just take a seat to be told 'Get back in line' by a very frosty waitress. Almost walked out there and then. Fortunately our waiter was more friendly. Pizza was nice enough, nothing special and coffee was ok. Although my friend's tea was twice the size of my coffee (and was cheaper!). Also had considerable difficulty getting the bill, resorting to putting our coats on and standing by the till!! €60 for 2 pizzas, one glass of wine and tea & coffee. Not great value for money in my opinion.

My husband & I are frequent visitors to Milano's, so we decided to check Dundrum's version of the place, and see how it stacks up. Food was good, but service was atrocious! My husband & I both needed a 2nd drink at the end of our meal, and absolutely no one attended to us. We tried several times to get servers' attention, but this was proving to be near impossible. It eventually got to the point that we both agreed that if we got anyone's attention we would just get the bill and leave. I don't think we'll be back at this Milano location again. Very disappointing.

My boyfriend and i went here for a bit of nosh before the cinema and were not impressed. Not only is the restaurant impersonal and frankly plain, but the layout is awful too. We were given a table beside the service area and kitchen and it was so noisy, your sitting beside the cutlery banging and the kitchen doors swinging. you just cant relax. it was absolutley freezing in there too, every time the front doors opened we were greeted with a gust of icey wind around us. we just wanted out of there as quick as we could. I ate with my coat on. their special pizza selection at the bottom of the menu was yummy but everything else was really unsatisfactory. i would have enjoyed it more if i had of gotten take-away and eaten in the comfort of my own home. I am a huge Mario's fan and have always eaten in the temple bar location when in town, but this has honestly let the side down. :(

My boyfriend and I regularly eat here before going to the cinema. Its great for just a nice, quick meal. He always has the Lasange and garlic bread, which is always good although sometimes it is sold out! I get one of the Romana base pizzas which are thinner, larger and so tasty! Staff are friendly and the service is quick. Perfect for a quick, tasty meal thats not too expensive.

Have been here before and went again. The cannelloni didn't disappoint, but my boyfriend had one of the specials which wasn't properly explained by the waiter, and so ended up getting something far different from what he was expecting. I don't know if the waiting staff get a bonus for the most expensive bill they can get, but they're very pushy trying to sell you items you don't ask for, which can get irritating! Cheap and cheerful though, and we weren't waiting too long for a table.

was there last night for our friends leaving party. was sitting upstairs and we had a perfect seating arrangement which i asked for which was nice. Service staff very attentive but felt like we were being rushed out of the restaurant as soon as we finished our starter, our main came out there was no time in between to digest what we previously had. Ordered starter and they gave me the wrong one and when ordering my pizza, i asked could i create my own veggie pizza and they still got it wrong even though the waiter took the toppings down....... my pizza had to be sent back. very surprised how they had no sweetcorn or pineapple available as toppings. The dessert was awful, the chef needs a lesson on how to make banoffee pie as it was the worst i ever tasted. When we ordered our first round of drinks, two bottles of wine were not available on the menu that we had chosen so we had to choose a really bad rose. Found the bill very expensive for 6 people, i know it belongs to a chain of restaurants but i would never go back to Milano's again.

hi I went here for dinner with my aunt who raved about the cannelonni. it was overall very disappointing - I know Milano's well - there's one just by where I work so I'm pretty used to the offering. We were "offered" olives with our drinks which came just before the food - we had to remind the waiter to bring them. We were charged for them, even though it sounded like they were free when offered. My pizza wasn't cooked properly so I had to send it back, the caesar salad had chef's salad cream as the dressing, and on several occassions we had to remind the staff to bring us drinks. I don't mind chain resetaurants so long as they are consistent, but I don't see the point in them if the service and cooking varies so much from one place to the next - it certainly isn't cheap enough to warrant this.

Went for lunch one saturday with the two kids, it wasn't very busy so the service was very attentive. They were very good with the kids bringing colour books and pencils and a kids menu which at €8.50 is very good value for what you get, the two kids had one kids meal between them which was ample (although one of them preferred my pasta and tucked into it!) I had the pollo pesto which was only alright. The dish was piping hot yet the inside of the food was only lukewarm, I think I'll go for pizza the next time.

I ate here last night with 4 female friends. I tried to book a table but was told they did not take bookings for less than 7 people & if we arrived early we should have no problem getting a table. We arrived for 7ish & had to wait about 15 mins - there was nowhere to wait inside so we sat outside on the steps in the freezing cold until they called us in. We didn't have any starters & just went for mains & desserts which were all nice. I didn't like the fact that they have no flexibility on the pizzas even though they are making them fresh - you choose what's on the menu & that was that but otherwise everything was fine. Desserts were great - Chololate Glory is a must. In total it cost €100 for 5 main courses, 2 desserts, 2 teas, 2 hot chocolates & a coffee. It's a great place for a girlie night out as the place was packed with cackling women (me being one of them) but I doubt you'd see many men going here unless with their girlfriends. Overall it was fine but I've been to better places!

Ate here last night. Was ok! typical Milanos fare! We arrived about 8:45. We waited 20min, but when we were seated upstairs there were 6 empty tables. Service was fine. Had a lovely waitress. I had the pollo pesto which was burnt and dry and very small for 14€. I will stick to pizzas next time. Also, sitting upstairs we had a full view of the kitchen where all staff including the wait staff were using their bare hands to prepare and garnish the food! Am sure that will lead to complaints!

As you would expect from Milanos the food is predictably good, the service here is not quite so good which is probably the reason the queue always extends out the door in the evening (on any occasion I have been there its been almost impossible to get the bill!!). Ill be back but recommend lunchtime as a better option during the week.

Had a meal in Milanos last night and the food was absolutely appalling !! lettuce leaves & chopped tomato on a side plate for a starter!! The main course was worse, a bowl of pasta with dried up sauce and max 5 small cubes of chicken. Do milano actually employ a chef..............Staff friendly .Won't be back.

I've eaten here 3 times only because of geographical convenience and the pizza is tasty. The first time on a Sunday evening when it was very quiet and they left us standing waiting for a table (it was still quiet when we left) It was a nice meal and not pricey. The second a Saturday afternoon and it was like a Montessori. The waiter sat me and my gf next to a large party of adults and children in which the children had free reign. I asked to be moved but wasn't much better downstairs. Pizza was still good though. Third time we sat outside and was very nice there during the summer, the service was fine until we finished our main then they ignored us for 40mins! After complaining twice (and I'm very patient) to the head waitress we got desserts. Still charged us for them despite the fact that we said we were leaving and they insisted they would be out asap. When this restaurant is busy it creates a chaotic atmosphere, kids screaming and running around and waiters falling over them. Maybe try the Italian next door or Mao if you’re thinking on eating here.

I love this restaurant. I come here every few weeks and they always have some new starters to try. Their Pizzas are always amazing, they have a great variety of toppings and cater for genuine carnivores to goats’ cheese worshipers. My favourite salad is the Pollo but watch out for salads that come with dough balls mmmhh. The staff are friendly and you get what you pay for. Milanos does attract families with small children so be prepared for a buggy war at the entrance!

Lovely Italian food in a great location beside Dundrum cinema. Nice Italian beer but lots of kids around so good for families and not as good for couples. Some great starters and good pizza.

I ate in Milano Dundrum recently, I had a lovely Irish girl serve us,she was so attentive, bringing my kids a pizza sticker colouring sheet to colour in. The whole restaurant experience was fab, my kids had a three course kids meal for 8.50 and I had a delicious chicken salad. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, management came over to check on us throughout the course of our meal, all in all a great experience.

I have just read some reviews on Milano in Dundrum and I would like to say that as a Coeliac I have just had a lovely meal with excellent service there. I explained my position before we sat down and that I had brought my own pasta. The girl at the desk seemed to understand all about the condition as when my daughter went upstairs to the bathroom she overheard her telling someone in the kitchen how careful they had to be. When my dish arrived she came up and asked me to wait as she wondered if the sauce was ok for me to eat and having checked came back and told me it was safe.I thought she was very helpful and also the waiter who made up a dish for me as they actually have very few pasta dishes on the menu (mostly pizzas). For such a reasonable restaurant (they didn't charge me the full cost of a dish on the menu I presume because it was my own pasta but I would have been quite happy to pay the full cost)they went to a lot of trouble and were so pleasant about it. I will be back!

This place is so boring. Food is bland and unauthentic, chain restaurant food. I ordered a salad and asked for the dressing on the side, they couldn't manage that. My salad came out drowned in dressing. Won't be in a rush back!

Myself and my mother went here one day for lunch, she ordered lasagna and I ordered pizza, my mother took a few bites of the meat and then discovered a big piece of bone in the beef! Awful, put us all off our food. When she complained she got a letter from the owners in England stating that all their meals are brought in frozen, none is prepared in the restaurant. Nothing was freshly made up. If you ask them to alter your order for the way you want, they cant do it, they just heat it up and serve!!!!

Average across the board. Can be unfriendly. Service is usually interesting mix of average-to-appalling. Absolutely no interest in trying to accommodate someone who is gluten/wheat intolerant and would rather not eat salad. And the only non-pizza courses were not available at 8:30pm on a Monday evening... Dough balls are always fab, noci are a yummy amuse-bouche before your meal... but I wouldn't rush back.

This place is so over rated. I know a lot of people love it for a quick bite but I wouldn't go back. Their service and decor are grand but the food is not. I ordered a pizza which came with barely any tomato sauce and no cheese! As it was an anchovy pizza this was unexpected. Another time I visited I ordered a salad which was ok but lacked real effort and taste. The bread sticks that accompany it are gorgeous though, like long dough balls but they're served with garlic butter which is a bit restrictive. Over all it's an ok place to eat but I don't understand all the fuss.

I ate here last week and have done several times. I usually get a salad, Pollo or Nostrana and always enjoy them both. My boyfriend had lasagna, the portion is small for the price. Pizza's are nice, they also do take away. I enjoy eating here, it's cheap and cheerful.

Milano is the same every time you visit but that's not a bad thing! The food is always good and there's always a lovely buzz in the restaurant. Cheap and cheerful pizza/pasta that's always guaranteed to please. Nice to pop in before or after the cinema and if they're busy you can put your name on the list, have a drink and return with an added hunger!!

I like it here. When we want to eat near the house but don't want to use our imginations we end up in Milano's. It is always packed but they have a nice system. You pop off for a drink and they ring you when your table is ready. Nothing is super special but you know exactly what to expect. Personally I love pizza and I'm perfectly happy with the standard. The place to go before the cinema or if you enjoy being surrounded by loads of people.

You know what you're going to get with Milanos so no surprises here. They've introduced the system of putting your name down if they are really busy which is great as you can have a wander around the shops and then pop back. We only had to wait 15mins for our table and were seated upstairs which was half empty when we got there. Food was great as usual last time we went although we thought our waiter could have been more attentive - often forgot things and was running around do much that he made us tired! Great pit stop before the cinema!

Milanos is ok for a quick meal but wouldn't be somewhere I would go to really enjoy a meal out. I went last night with a few friends. The food was nice and there were lovely flavours in all our dishes. Pizza base was really lovely. The services was slow and most of the staff weren't overly friendly, however our waiter was very nice. I won't rush back but it's ok.

Blah is the best word to descrive Milano's. Popped in last night for a quick bite before the cinema, wish we'd gone somewhere else. Me and hub shared a tasty but very small plate of antipasto and then sat looking at the empty plate for about twenty minutes before our waitress came near us. I had the most lack lustre caesar salad I've ever tasted, the chicken was soggy the sauce way too salty and there were far too many brown bits on the cos lettuce. Hub's Americano pizza wasn't up too much and had a very strange fruity taste. Pizza far too small for E13. Had a lovely glass of the house white. Dining room is nicely spaced but not enticing enough to make up for blah food.

Milano is a good addition to Dundrum. They have a kids menu, which is very inventive with babucinos to end. It includes dough balls, main course, dessert and babucino. They only problem is its too small for children over I'd say the age of 6. I think they should give the option of two kids menus and charge more for older kids. I was there recently and they have added a thinner base option to their pizza for an additional 1.50 charge. We all opted for same and it was well worth the extra price. A lovely meal.

I went here for a work meal when I worked in the centre and I think we were all quite happy with the meal and service provided. Quite a nice look to the restaurant especially the upstairs. The dough balls were very nice but be warned the Diavolo is as hot as the menu claims, the kind of hot that breaks a sweat.

I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday night with another person... However it was probably the wrong time to go as there was plenty of people from the shopping centre there with children. Even without the kids at tables the restaurant seemed a bit cramped. The tables were too close to each other. It would have been nice as well to be able to ring and reserve a table instead of having to put our names down on a waiting list. Apart from those gripes, the food was nice. It was tasty. There was just enough in a small starter and main course to fill us up. The one thing I was surprised about the menu was the lack of meat/chicken dishes... normally there would be 1 or 2 of each on the menu. We didnt sample the wine menu.

Ended up in Milanos after the races. Had a lovely bottle of wine with bruschetta con funghi and Cannellioni for mains. My girlfriend had Garlic bread and a mushroom pizza. The bruschetta con funghi and pizza were fantastic but the cannellioni was a bit too rich after three forkfuls. The waiting staff were friendly but trying to get salt seemed to be a hassle for them as they did not appear to have enough to go around the rest of the tables. All in all the best pizza I have tasted and a great inexpensive place to eat. Try getting a table at the back window downstairs.

Went here a while ago with a group of friends and thought it was pretty decent. They do nice thin-based pizzas, nothing magnificent though. My friends and I had a lovely evening particularly because of the friendly out-going waiter. I would definitely recommend this place if going with a group. The food is only average, there's nothing special about it. Since they do such good business, you can tell that they dont put a lot of effort into the food. However, the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff are nice.

Visited Milanos with some family members for a pre-Christmas dinner recently. Was excited about the meal as it was my first time to dine in the venue. However, it was somewhat disappointing. The menu was quite limited, in that, they have a lot of pizzas on offer however when my sister requested a pizza with cheese, ham and pineapple - she was told it was not possible. My mother and I both ordered garlic bread and it came far too over cooked - parts of it were solid. Would not be in a rush to return to Milano's. It was disappointing.

Have eaten here a few times, food always nice. Salads are lovely & you get a treat of the dough balls that come with them (although not good if dieting!). Pasta and pizza dishes are also nce, although the menu is quite limited. It would be a huge improvemnt if there was slightly more varied menu. Service is usually quite good, if not a little slow sometimes. Will go back

My family & I ate here Christmas Eve for a late lunch (3.30pm). We were seated upstairs which I don't think is particularly nice, it's more atmospheric downstairs. Still we were a large group, with two children so it made sense to put us upstairs. Our waiter was excellent, very attentive but not in your face, and just very pleasant to deal with. I had the bruschetta con funghi as a starter (which I tend to have quite often) and recommended it to my sister and my father, who both thought it was very nice. Only thing with it is sometimes the mushrooms don't seem to be totally cooked but even so, it's very tasty. I then had the mushroom ravioli for a main which arrived piping hot and was gorgeous. Everyone was pleased with what they got, but more so commenting on how good the service and how nice the waiter was. Lovely eating out experience, and given how difficult it tends to be to find somewhere for lunch Christmas Eve it has an excellent chance to be our venue for next year.

I’ve been searching for an aubergine dish that I had in an Italian in Spain and I finally found it here! The no need for pasta dish is delicious, I highly recommend it. The savoury bread is an excellent accompaniment. Was too full for dessert but I will be returning so will definitely try it then!

Had a nice dinner with two friends. My pizza was very tasty, big in size but thin & crispy, so not too heavy. The toffee fudge glory dessert is lovely, but share between two, it's a lot for one person. We ate upstairs, it's a bit noisy so it's not the place for a first date. Fantastic coffee is served.

An old reliable..... I have been here many times with my family and I find you can't go wrong with Milano. The service is usually good here, the food also. The only thing I will say is if you don't like black pepper on your pizza, make sure you specify, because recently I noticed they started lashing it on - I'd rather have the choice please! That's such a minor thing though, and overall it's fine, and I find the service is usually friendly.

Myself and my Mother and Sister visited here for dinner on Friday evening. It was not busy at all, yet they told us that half of the seats were reserved, while the waiters chatted among themselves. We ordered two starters and three main courses and 20mins later the main courses arrived - and no starters. When asked for the starters, they looked blankly at us. Two of the main courses were cold and when sent back, they took another 20mins to arrive, along with the starters. At this stage we complained to the waiter and he was so rude and responded ''its not my fault if the kitchen is slow...''. Charming?! true though it maybe - what happened to putting the customer first?! Following this, the only hot meal was finished, but the others still had no dinner, we called the manager whom was very polite and apologetic. But we decided to leave, after over an hour and no dinner. Shocking place - never go there!

Consistently good pizzas. Service can range from average to excellent. Very reasonable prices. Perfect before movies. Really good pizzas for a chain. My favorites: Sloppy Giusseppe and Padana.

Went for a family evening Friday 2 weeks ago, place was very busy. My 7year old ordered the kids menu, very disappointed in the size of portion, also the dessert's very poor and you don't get what is stated on the menu. Service was only ok. Food very poor and very over priced. Will not be going back.

We've ended up here several times recently on impulse. Sometimes have to queue for a table but not for long and it's not something we mind if we haven't booked. Good choice of pizzas and lovely starters, decent wine. Lovely desserts and coffee (the figs and coffee combination is great for dessert). Very reasonable prices and great attentive service. Not really somewhere for a romantic meal but good buzzy atmosphere to drop in for food.

Wasn’t overall impressed with this place. Food was nice but a bit bland with no real kick to it. Atmosphere was very rushed and prices are too dear for such small portions. I wont be going back here.

I visited Milano last night with my boyfriend for an anniversary celebration. Really liked the service and the location was very handy. Not great food selection though for an Italian - only 4 pasta dishes and the rest all pizza.

I love Milano. I came here on an extremly busy evening and the place was packed. Despite this, the service was excellent, the food was absolutly delicious, sitting outside by the fountains is beautiful and overall I really enjoyed my evening. I will definitely be going back and would recommend it to anyone.

I used to love Milano's in Dundrum. Great place to bring kids and enjoy a nice salad, vegetable crisps, dough balls and good coffee. But recently we had the most awful experience. Dreadful service, some of the food never arrived, it all arrived out of sequence and the manager was not overly attentive when we asked where our food was. It ruined what should have been a birthday celebration. To their credit they didn't charge us for our wine but I won't be rushing back, that's for sure.

I have eaten here a few times and each time I leave asking meself why I have chosen to eat there. When they first opened Milano served tasty but small pizzas and fairly large generous salads but each time I go I find the standard of food and portion size has decreased.

We managed to get a table outside on a Friday evening. Service left a bit to be desired. Our waitress said they only sell full bottles of wine, however I could see two other tables with half bottles and when bringing out our drinks, she had glasses of wine on her tray for another table. Waited at least 15mins to have our starter plate cleared. The pizzas arrived and were crisp, light and generous with toppings. After we finished our pizzas another 15 mins passed and managed to get our waitress's attention and asked for the bill. Great food but wouldn't recommend if you are looking for a quick meal.

Lovely, authentic yet chic and modern. Went with a work friend. Both ordered pizzas. Pollo con funghi and polla ad astra. Both fab! Got choc sundae and choc fudge cake with tea and coffee after. Nice too. But service VERY BAD! Kept having to ask people twice or 3 times for water, bill etc. That said, I would still go again. So handy for pre cinema quality food.

Milano is a restaurant for people who really like their pizza. The food is delicious. It is obvious that they employ only the best chefs to cook the nicest pizzas. The service is not too good though. It took about 10 mins for the waiter to take my order. Above all I would rate the restaurant highly

I'm surprised to see such a range of reviews for Milano’s, as I don't think I have had a bad meal in of the branches. I was here last night with my wife and had a really nice meal. Both our pizzas were excellent: light crispy bases, thick sauce and all the ingredients in decent quantities. The staff (all 4 who looked after us) were also very pleasant, friendly and attentive and the food was served quickly. My only gripe was the €1.85 extra they charged for some sweet peppers on my wife’s pizza but with everything else being so good it's easy to overlook it.

This is the best pizza you can find in Dublin, thin, crispy gorgeous! I go there regularly after shopping. If you want to make it even more special ask for buffalo mozzarella instead of the regular one, I am sure you'll love it!

Bit disappointing! Went here on a Sunday afternoon and found the food just ok-have been to the ones in town and remember the food as being better. Also if you don't have kids-I don't recommend that you go on a Sunday afternoon as at least 70% of the tables had kids at them-mostly well behaved-but you always get a few that don't!

I have eaten here a lot; it is very nice to have a quick bite to eat here before the Cinema. The service is great- you are guaranteed to be in and out in 40 minutes. I have to agree that the menu could do with some upgrading and it would nice if there were some signature dishes for each branch so it is not all the same. I will definitely go back though.

I go quite often the summer during (about once a week). Food is ok but they could be doing it so much better. I normally have the rustica tomatoes and a Peroni beer to start and the Diavolo pizza and a glass of house red. Service is ok, food is prompt and quality ok. If it ever came up for sale, I would be in like flynn, as it's a opportunity wasted.

After waiting a long time for our food the 2 lasagnes ordered were burnt to a crisp and the pizza was cold. We sent back the lasagnes but the staff were very intimidating when we did so even though they were blatantly burnt. When we were leaving there was another couple sending back their lasagnes cause they were burnt too. When we talked to the manager he said that the couple were allergic to something in the lasagnes but why would they order it in the first place if they were allergic. Blatant lie. He didn’t even apologise for food. We will never return to this restaurant and make sure no one we know does either.

The layout and decor of this Milano's is quite austere and clinical, with grey walls, blue lights and graphic art. However, overlooking the interior, the food is great (as you would expect of Milano's, the Dawson street branch is always packed out!), and the staff are efficient and friendly. The air conditioning can make sitting at dinner and little bit nippy, but the food makes up for it. The menu is the same in all of its restaurants, so you know what you can expect. The pizzas are really flavoursome and satisfying. With fresh dough, herbs, vegetables and meats. Their vegetarian spinach and ricotta cannelloni is heavenly! A meal for two with starters, mains, a soft drink and a bottle of wine would set you back about €55-€60. Many repeat visits will be made!

Food was nice, our wait staff were good BUT the other wait staff had a massive argument in front of us, to make matters worse my partner had ordered pepperoni on his pizza but we couldn't see any, we returned the pizza and saw the Chef sticking his fingers into the pizza picking out the pepperoni and it was handed back to us! We didn't want it after that so it went back again and the Chef got so angry. Our meal was nearly over my partner went for a cigarette I was on my own at the table and I was being stared at by one member of staff, I was being intimidated!! My heart was pounding!! A letter of complaint is on is way to head office and Dundrum TC. Won't be returning ever.

Wonderful food lovely atmosphere - I ate here for lunch on Sunday the 8th of July on a brief sunny period in the day, we sat outside and it really is a wonderful setting with a bit of sunshine. I brought my 9 year old son with me who is quite hard to please mostly. The food was absolutely delicious and we were both very pleased, the children’s menu is great value at only €9.00 for starter (4 dough balls) main course (perfect size pizza for children) and dessert really great value. We can’t wait to go back.

Really disappointing. We were expecting basic Italian, nothing more, but the food and service were both sub-standard. Waited 20 mins for starters (bruschetta & garlic bread) which were ok. Mains were terrible - my cannelloni was slightly burnt, but completely overcooked - dry and bland and far too hot. Friend's pizza was nice, but only lukewarm and thus a bit hard. Found broken glass on the table that had been there since the previous sitting, according to the table beside us. Desserts looked delicious, so we ordered some and coffees. Coffees arrived before the dessert, and we had finished them by the time the desserts eventually arrived. Friend's ice cream served in a hot sundae glass, causing it to melt immediately. My banoffi was just out of the freezer - still had ice crystals in it, and could barely chew it, it was so cold. Waited some more for our bill to arrive after asking for it then waited about 15 mins for them to come and take payment - in fact, the table beside us who had come in while we were eating our mains had finished their desserts by the time we paid, and they had a three-course meal, too. Overall, bad food and bad service - we had to wait for cutlery to be brought at every course after the food arrived. Just plain shoddy.

Though I'm normally a big Milano fan I was disappointed on a visit there a couple of Sundays ago. The food just didn't seem as fresh as it usually does and the whole thing seemed a bit chaotic. It was very hard to get staff attention and it was a bit snotty when you did finally manage to get it. I have only been in this branch twice before and it was fine on both occasions so hopefully it was just bad luck.

Ate in Milano on Sunday. I go there regularly; plenty of space when we arrived at about 9.00pm, staff helpful and friendly, as always menu is basic Italian but everything is well prepared and you will rarely get a nasty surprise, if ever. They are operating to a template but that makes for consistency in a restaurant of this price range...and after all isn't consistency what matters.

Went there on the June bank holiday at about 7.30pm. We had to wait 10 minutes for a table but they rang us to say the table was ready which we found quite helpful. The quality of food was quite good and very reasonably priced apart from the deserts (more of that later). We all had bruschetta for starter and it was delicious. The only problem with the main course was that they ran out of tortellini, we felt they should have informed us of this when they gave us the menus. We were then given a wide selection of expensive desert menus, however they had ran out of ice- cream which narrowed it down to about 3 deserts from a selection of about 10. Again we were never informed of this. We had all picked out our chosen desert to be told they had none of them. All in all it was a lovely experience and we will be back however an Italian restaurant should not run out of tortellini or ice- cream.

A wonderful place to have lunch on a sunny day. We sat outside on a sunny day and enjoyed their lasagne, pizza, and two large glasses of wine. The food was great -- the lasagne was easily one of the best we've ever had. But even more impressive is their large portion size for the very affordable price. We'll definitely be coming back.

Overall: Great food but terrible management and service. We (4 adults, 2 young kids) went there around 7 pm on a Tuesday evening. Surprisingly, we had to wait for a table, 30 mins, no complaints there. When we were seated, service was extremely slow, 40 mins for our starters (dough balls and a salad) and further 20 mins for mains (pizzas). The waitress made no attempt to explain the delay, she avoided eye contact completely. On occasions when we called her, she just shrugged that our food was "in the oven". We asked to speak to the manager before our mains arrived and the reason given was that they normally don't seat people upstairs or outside on a Tuesday and so they only had waiting and cooking staff for the downstairs area. However, instead of turning people away, they opened the upstairs and outside areas, hence they were stretched thin and this caused big delays. The manager's so-called gesture for this screw-up was an insult - he knocked a half-bottle of house wine (€11) off our bill. The food was excellent; it's just a shame that the service and management was appalling. This was the only time I have ever - in 20 years of eating out - left no tip at all.

Myself and my boyfriend went to Milano in Dundrum we both got starters which were resonable enough. Then we both had the Tortelli for our main course which looked like macaroni and cheese. It was unapealing and not garnished for the price we paid for it was unacceptable. The bowl it was presentd it was burnt, never mind that, the pasta was stuck to the bottom of the dish. Very disappointing and definately wouldn't be risking eating there again.

I like Milano's, the food is tasty and fresh. The have more or less the same pizzas as Pizza Express in the UK so I guess they're owned by the same company. The quality of the food is consistent. More suited to a 'quick bite' than an evening out.

Milano's was all right. Waiter was efficient but not very friendly. The pizza was tasty enough but I found the choice on the menu really limiting. Starters consist of a lot of pizza dough balls, followed by a choice of pizzas but very few pastas. Overall, enjoyed myself and it was as expected apart from the restrictive menu.

Milano's all over Dublin impress me and this one was no different. World class pizza every time. My only warning is that the menu is limited, if you don't like pizza, this might not be the place for you, and though there are a few great pastas and salads, the tastes are limited. Staff in this particular branch need to smile more!

Was here on a Sunday evening after the cinema. We found it cheap and cheerful as usual. The two mushroom starters were delicious and the pizza, while no crispy was tasty and exactly what we wanted. Our waiter was really slow and it felt like he didn't want to be there but at the end of the day the food was tasty and was good value, something that many Dublin restaurants are missing these days. What they need is a Milano's on the Northside somewhere.

Yeah, Milano's is good enough but there is something missing. The menu is quite limited as it’s a bit pizza heavy. Okay, they do some unusual pizzas with egg etc.. But I have always found the service consistently dreadful. They do not have a kids menu so it makes it quite prohibitive for us to dine there as a family. Maybe, it’s just too big. I get exhausted watching the staff flying up and down the stairs, maybe that explains their grumpy attitude!

Great before cinema, good simple well executed risotto and some bread selection to start washed down with a good Sauvignon Blanc, Not a place to linger or for that romantic dinner. But would certainly go back.

Good value, but food is nice rather than great. Service can be a bit hit and miss. Would go there for a bite to eat after shopping or before the cinema, rather than for a romantic dinner

Good restaurant, modern decor but friendly, helpful staff. Great food, mostly pizzas on the menu but the different options are unusual but tasty and I love the dough balls and garlic bread. Reasonable value for money and I'll be going again and again!

Don't bother. Really average pizzas and pastas in an overly noisy, uncomfortable restaurant. Pretty poor service too. Not at all amenable to having a chat and some food and wine. We wolfed down our (substandard) food and got the hell out.

I would consider this good food for people who aren't really into food. They do the typical pastas and pizzas and lasagnes. I used to like going there for a pizza and for the thrill of not being ripped off in a Dublin restaurant. However, last time I went, I got a cannelloni dish that consisted almost entirely of white sauce, very little tomato sauce and very little meat. No matter how cheap, it was a rip off. The staff were very nice I have to say, and there was no delay between the courses. The quality can be hit and miss though.

I agree with the majority here in that the service was awful! Visited here for a meal with my mother and we were left waiting at the door for five minutes before anyone took notice of us. The coffee-making facilities are very inconveniently placed in one of the main walkways of the restaurant. On being brought to and leaving our table, the staff literally bumped into us. My mother didn't really enjoy her pizza. My cannelloni was...ok. Dessert was lovely though - Banoffee!

Had a bite here with friends from work one eve, was ok nothing special, the cold clinical atmosphere inside does nothing for me. I hate metal garden furniture in restaurants, food was average.

Ran in for a quick bite on Saturday at approx 5pm. We got a table no problem, the place did seem to fill up just after we arrived! Our waitress was friendly and the food was nice. My only gripe was that we’d ordered a portion of dough balls and they had problems with them so they brought garlic bread out instead, we would have rather been told first as none of us ate the garlic bread we would have just been happy with our pizzas and when we saw it on the bill I thought it would have been a nice gesture to have this removed as we didn’t eat it and it wasn’t what we ordered. Would recommend for a quick bite…

The food is ok here however the staff are terrible and so rude. Was here once and will never set foot here again. We were waiting nearly 20 mins to get a menu then another half hour for our food. No one came to see were we ok, the staff were nowhere in sight. When we did get our food the other person I was with asked for some sort of pepper on her food when the girl brought it over she started shaking it all over mine without asking me first she had it done so fast it was too late to stop her, I HATE pepper she totally ruined my meal. Needless to say I wasn’t leaving a tip here and the food was sooooo expensive for something I couldn’t even eat.

This branch of Milano's is only one step above a take away.... its cold, the waiters are more interested in themselves & service is slow.... A tummy filler before the cinema only

I've been to Milano Dundrum 3 times in the last fortnight (not by choice) and found the food pretty good. Their pizzas are definitely to be recommended. Good desserts and a nice atmosphere too. Bit cold though.

Went recently with a friend and thought it would be safe bet but it was terrible. We were at the back and it was freezing. They had no lasagne - this is not good & the waiter did not even apologise - they simply asked my friend to chose something else. My tortellini was only okay but it was a very small portion. My friend chose the cannelloni instead and didn't enjoy it at all - when it was taken away, the waiter kind of grinned and asked did she not like it, she said no and he didn't apologise, offer anything else or a complementary dessert or anything. Very poor. But my main gripe - €7.95 for a glass of house white. Unreal!! Will not be returning.

I had dinner here last Sunday and I always find with Milano's it's hit and miss. The food was quite nice but it's basically a step up from fast food. I found the restaurant very cold, we were down the back at the big windows and it was dark out but they had the blinds up so most people were shivering. The staff didn't seem to care either way about us, taking our order appeared to be a nuisance to our waitress.

Went to Milano's before the cinema the other night and I have to say I was really disappointed my pizza was burnt on the edges which just takes the whole buzz out of going for pizza. My boyfriend had to send his back it was the 4 seasons which sounds like on the menu it has lots of different toppings when in fact its a pizza split into four sections with different toppings when it came out the pizza looked depressed. I remember the days of going to Milano's on Dawson Street and it was a real treat bring back good pizzas in Milano’s, Please!

What a disappointment. You would think as a chain of restaurants that they would monitor its quality. Poor service, very slow and seems to be a lack of communication between staff. Food arrived half cooked (lasagne) and an avocado salad had no avocado in it! Heard reports from others who have walked out after waiting so long for their meal.

Nice premises but food is terrible, portions are miserable, service awful. I went with a party of 12. Waiters preferred to argue rather than fix problems e.g. one of the party did not get their starter. Lasagne had little or no meat, I needed a paint scraper to get my flavourless Tortellini off the bottom of the dish. At 8pm!!!! They had no ingredients to make several of the pizzas??? No ice cream for the desserts that are supposed to be served with same (we still had to pay for it though). They appear to be interested in a large turn over and not quality. Needless to say my first and last visit here. Incidentally the whole party were unimpressed not just me.

This is a cheap and cheerful place but oh dear the food isn’t good. The salads are nice but they haven’t changed their menu EVER.... its so dull and the meat they use in lasagnes and cannelloni is awful. Would like to know if its Irish beef or what...never go here cuz it’s just not worth it...dough balls are good. That’s it.

25 of us went here for dinner last night. Dough balls to start are really good, as are the tortellini. Only 1 waiter for all of us though, and he forgot to put through one of the orders, so a second waiter would've helped him somewhat. It was only e25 each for starter, pizza/pasta, coffee/dessert and wine, so we were also impressed with the price. We’ll be back there again soon

Went here during the Summer and had a really enjoyable afternoon sitting outside. The atmosphere round dundrum was great. The food was ok and the price was acceptable. However I have to say I had a bit of a bizarre experience with the staff - they said they didn't do white wine spritzers as they didn't sell sprite or soda water!!! - WHAT??? When we established that they had sprite it then took another three attempts to get the drink we wanted. I would assume that a white wine spritzer is a popular drink these days - especially with ladies that lunch - I never thought I’d hear a waiter and bar man in Ireland say they had never heard of them so don't do them... Very poor show!!
