Voucher €19 for 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides & 2 glasses of wine, making this very good value for money. I did try to use the voucher a few times but they were fully booked. I eventually used it last friday. The tables all around me were all reseved for later times but there was nobody else there while I was there, however the waitress seemed distracted and bothered. Great value for money however I don't think I would hurry back.

Went out there on a Grabone voucher. I cannot remember what I paid for voucher but I am assuming it was very reasonably priced. I had been in the Eagle House before and had eaten in a restaurant upstairs which was very nice. I was therefore disappointed that we were dining in a cut off section of the bar area. Atmosphere was ok as opposed to great. It got buzzy later as there was a soccer match on the telly. Food really wasnt great. Menu had very little choices. The deal was only on the Indian section of the menu - that was not a problem as from the voucher I was aware that it was an Indian voucher that we purchased. Starter was nice and tasty. The sauces of both main courses were far too 'watery'. It would have been far better if they gave a thicker sauce and less of it rather than 2 bowls of watery liquid. In other words this was a watered down version of an Indian meal. There was a free glass of wine supplied with the meal. We asked if we could have a bottle of wine and take the price of the 2 glasses of wine off the cost of the bottle. They agreed to this which was exceptional customer service - which we rewarded with a good tip. As I stated above Service was excellent. Value has to be linked into the food - so I am giving food and value a 3.5 I would recommend - that they relook at the 'sauces situation'

Had a grab one deal for two starters, mains and rice or nan with two glasses of wine for 20 euro. It was great value for money. If I see this deal again will buy for sure. Nice pub with friendly staff.

Had dinner using the Grabone deal, 2 starters, 2 mains with pilau rice or naan bread each & a glass of wine each for €20. Staff were great & the food was really tasty. What a bargain for €20, will be buying this everytime i see the deal.

Very disappointing meal here on Friday, we both ordered steaks and I had to return mine as it was no where near what I'd asked for - this was not appreciated and I was made to feel very bad - only felt guilty for a minute as what returned was not much better. The steak was over done and tasteless.

Ate here with a friend in December using a voucher offering a starter, main course and a glass of wine. Staff were friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. The menu was quite limited however. We ordered the chicken and lamb for starters. Both were nicely presented and tasty, however both required more sauce, especially as the lamb was very spicy. Chicken tikka masala for mains was nice, however the salmon main course was a lot different to what is described on the menu. The salmon itself was cooked nicely, however some of the skin was left on with was a little off-putting. Pilau rice came instead of basmati, but was quickly replaced. Using the voucher we thought the meal and drinks were generally good value.

We took up the texting offer sent out from their special Indian menu of 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 rice/naan and 2 glasses of wine for just €20. WOW is all I could say! I read a review on the wall going in from Paolo Tullio the celeb restaurant reviewer on TV all the time in which he said it was unbeatable in Dublin....and I would agree with him. We will certainly go back there again soon and try out the full menu

Located 5 mins from Glasthule Dart Station - very convenient to public transport. Was using a coupon which covered a starter, main course & a glass of wine. Great service, nice and comfortable. Had a kebab for the started, chicken tikka with rice & naan bread - very tasty. I understand there is an Indian Chef working at the premises. Came with a glass of house wine. Very enjoyable & you can enjoy a pint of Tuborg for a special €3.50 afterwards!

Had to work very hard on saturday night to make it down to glasthule for dinner as with the dart problem ended up walking from the bus in dun laoghaire. Arrived hungry and ready for a nice Indian meal in a local pub setting. I was disappointed no tandoori dishes on the menu as was indicated on the menupages online menu, but I had a very enjoyable chicken tikka masala all the same. The mixed platter is no longer on the menu either, and i would have liked that too. Stayed around after the meal for a couple of pints, but felt a little pressure to give back the table because they were quite busy. Recommended, nonetheless.

We had one of those groupon vouchers for a 3 course meal. It is a bit of a strange set up as the restaurant is basically in the pub. Food was good though. We couldn't get prawns with the voucher and only 2 choices for dessert even though this was not mentioned when you booked the voucher, but it was lovely overall. Staff not overly friendly, but still had a really good night.

We had a voucher as other reviewers had for a 3 course gourmet indian meal. We opted for 2 different starters however by friend's chosen option of samosas were not available so she quickly choose something else. She opted for the vegetable fritters while I went for the mixed platter. Both were tasty dishes, however my potato cake appeared to be awfully similar to the veg. fritters!!! For mains we had chicken and lamb dishes both of which were tasty enough. We ordered one naan and one rice however two rice appeared so we had to return one for the naan as originally ordered. We finished on desserts which were standard pub type dishes. Portion sizes were smaller than you would normally get in an Indian but that's not necessarily complaint! Overall the food was nice and it was a pleasant evening.

We redeemed our Groupon voucher in Eagle House, and were quite pleased with our visit. The place was nice, service was good, and the food was quite tasty, indeed. We had Indian cuisine, and it was pretty good value for money. Garlic naan was quite different than one usually gets, but it was very good as well.

The staff were very friendly and the service was good. However, there were items on the menu that weren't available including prawns which featured in several dishes. Very poor selection of deserts. The food was nice and portion size was good.

the only positive thing I can say about this restaurant is that the staff were really lovely. After that, where do I start ? ? We went with a party of ten people. The lady serving us was fantastic but the service and food were abysmal. On arriving we were told there were at least two things not available that were on the menu. The orders came about sporadically with several members of our party left to wait until others had almost finished. Rice had to be sent back twice as it came out cold. A steak which was ordered was sent back. Nann bread which was ordered as an extra with the main was served by one waitress as another took our orders for desert. When ordering desert we were informed that there was just three deserts available from the menu.... All in all a most unpleasant evening was had by all concerned and probably more so for the person who was served the steak. An experience I would not like to repeat. Other dinners please take note...... Atrocious over all I will never return and would not recommend this restaurant to anybody.

My favourite place to go for their carvery lunch. Food is always fresh and "home-cooked" with an amazing collection of the usual suspects - turkey, beef, etc., and always a fabulous authentic Indian dish or two. The chef serves the food, he knows his job and is very proud of his cooking skills. Looking forward to going some evening soon for their Indian specials.

Myself and 3 friends visited here on a Friday night to try out the Indian food that we had heard so much about recently. The guy who showed us to our table had dealt with my friend on the phone when she made the booking and he gave a very good first impression. To be clear this is food in a pub but the food is excellent. We had 2 veggie Thali's and 1 meat one and the last in our party had chicken tandoori. All were delicious and the house wine was great. What was great was being able to have your drink of choice and good food at reasonable prices. Liked it a lot and bought a voucher online recently with the intention of going with my hubby and kids soon.

We went to have the Gourmet Indian menu on a voucher. To begin with the service was slow, but the staff explained that it was very busy because of all the people with vouchers, and the service did improve. The voucher excluded prawns, those I will go back for. We chose the mixed starter platter and some poppadoms. Each item in the platter had its own flavor, I thought that was brilliant. Not like the usual mixed plate of stuff that all tastes the same. The poppadoms had a lovely sauce that came with them. I think a wonderful taster of things to come. And was not disappointed. Usually we ordered different mains but didn't this time and I am sorry we didn't, we could have tasted more that way. We both had the lamb Rogan Josh and it was fantastic. Beautifully flavored and just a nice kick to it. Did justify another pint, but all good. Despite the fact that I was really full after that lot I decided to try the apple slice and that was absolutely wonderful. Tart apple with a spongy topping. Couldn't finish it, but will go back another day for that. Obviously we got full value as we had paid for the voucher only, but as the mains run at about E12 and they are so good, I feel it is very good value for money.

Went there for the indian gourmet menu, it was very busy as there was a match on. The girl serving was polite and courtous and told us there would be a wait as they were very busy. We ordered for starters the mixed platter at 8.95 and the lamb sheek 6.95, it did take almost an hour before we got them, they were very tasty not oversized portions but we enjoyed them, we then got our mains over half an hour later which was the chicken tika masala with rice 10.95 which was very nice and the tandore chicken 11.95 with naan bread, we ordered a side order of chips but didnt get them, we then ordered choc pudding which came with strawberry ice cream which was not too good but the bread and butter pudding was quite good both at 4.95. It is only really a pub not a restaurant from what we could see and is fine if u are not in a hurry, the people sitting beside us ordered fish and chips and complained, the fish looked very overcooked. I appreciate they were quite busy and understaffed but the service was slow, maybe it is worth a second visit!!!

A big group of us ordered at different stages during the day. I had the tikka masala and it was delicious. Major confusion when the bill came though as they put about 15 peoples bills together although we didn't order together so that was a pain. An they over charged us but the girl was helpful enough and rectified the mistakes. Would definately eat here again.

I ate here last night with 2 friends. We had the prawn curry, the chicken korma and the burger. The korma was really nice and over all it was good value- it came to €40 for the 3 of us. The decor is really nice here, but there wasn't much of an atmosphere, not many other people there. The staff could have been more helpful or friendly to us. I would go here again for the food and its a relaxing place to meet a few friends.

We visited the pub on Friday for the carvery offer of €6.99 which was a must as I have never seen a carvery to be advertised as low a price as this. The carvery portion choice was very good and also the portion size was very good also. The staff were efficient and friendly, nice atmosphere where local people go. Will return.

We visited here for Sunday lunch to find out if the carvery priced at €8.99 was good value for money. First impressions of the Eagle House is that it is old and quite drab and in need of a refurbishment. However the carvery choice and portions were generous and overall good value for money. We were served by a very friendly member of staff who told us he was from India, We will return during the week to try the same carvery priced at €6.99 each. I would recommend a visit to the Eagle House.

We visited this place after at least half an hour looking for a place where they do fish and chips in Dun Laoghaire. They were serving a carvery lunch but we asked about fish & chips and they made that for us. Very nice staff and great value. We will be back again when we're in Dun Laoghaire.

What a find... Was just passing one day with my starved boyfriend in tow and decided to go in and expected the usual pub grub.. mostly deep fried stuff but it wasnt to be . They have a large menu with the usual pub grub choices but they also have an extensive Asian Fusion section on the menu which is too die for. The indian food is terrific and as good as any restaurant quality but at a fraction of the cost.As it was mid week when i attended it wasnt too busy and i got a seat comfortably and the back ground music and hum of conversation was very relaxing although i did spot fliers advertising singers at the weekend whic il definitely try as its very rare nowadays to get some live music which i love. Staff where chatty and helpful, good night had by all il definitely be back.

We ate in the Eagle for my mother's birthday meal. Between 8 of us we ordered various dishes from traditional pub grub (eg cod and chips, steak sandwich etc) and Indian dishes on the new Asian Fusion menu. Every single one of us was really impressed with our meals, even those of us new to Indian food. The staff were really friendly and we found the prices exceptionally reasonable in these recessionary times! Great wine list and dessert menu. The waitress advised us that they do full carvery dinners for €6.99 Mon to Sat and €8.99 on a Sun. We will definitely return. A real find.

My absolute favourite place for lunch! The food is the nicest for miles and the staff are so friendly. For €7 you can get a great range of consistently excellent food and if you want to, you can be in and out again in half an hour. Would highly recommend this place. Very funky outdoor area upstairs too!

Great place to watch the matches as there is always a good crowd. Good value and tasty carvery, very popular on a Sunday. However don't order the side of chips as for €3.95 you get about ten chips, rip off!

We have been eating in the Eagle House on and off for the past 28 years - it is a pub with great atmosphere, even with the several changes over the years, it always maintained that bright and cheerful atmosphere. We recently re-visited the Eagle House after reading reviews that were not over enthusiastic, but we were very pleasantly surprised. We both had deep fried bread crumbed fresh cod and potato wedges, served by a very friendly efficient young man. The fish was excellent and the portions were of the standard of a large appetite, nicely accommodated. A good pint of Guinness gave that extra zest to a very pleasant meal. We will be back again and again.

We recently had a slightly disappointing visit here on Paddy’s day. The food wasn't the best, but what can I say. The manager somehow googled me and contacted me by email to come for a complimentary meal. So myself and the wife headed straight down yesterday evening. We shared some crumbed mushrooms for starters and both had the salmon fillet for mains and American chocolate for dessert. The food was delicious and what can I say, any place that cares this much about their customers comments deserves my recommendation.

I always thought the food in The Eagle House was the best pub food for miles around, but after visiting recently I was very disappointed, have they changed the Chef or was it just a bad day?? This place had been so good it is worth another visit to change my mind about the last visit

I think they may have changed chef because the food was delicious, I've been a few times before and always found the food to be nice, had to wait a while but then they were busy and they do say all food is cooked from fresh. I'll be going back to try something else on the menu. I had the salmon and prawn on a bed of baby potatoes yum :-)

The quality and variety of food has deteriorated in recent times. I went with my family a few weeks ago. A few of us had the steak sandwich which was quite stodgy and tasteless not to mention that the sides were missing, my sister had the pizza which was overladen with cheese and my mum had the salmon which she quite enjoyed. The seafood chowder on a Saturday afternoon with a couple of beers was guaranteed to be great but now has far too much salt and not enough fish. Great upstairs beer garden!

The food in the Eagle House was, until recently, very good pub grub. However, they have now limited the menu substantially and the food has deteriorated. It's a pity as it's a smashing pub that's losing mid-week diners.
