It is with a heavy heart that feel the need to publish this review. Bits an Pizzas has always been a firm favourite for my family, but our experience today was incredibly disappointing. We arrived after the lunch rush and the waitress was busy cleaning the restaurant but as we entered she seated us in a pleasant manner. We ordered chicken wings (yum yum!!) and a pizza to share. My mother-in-law was with us, and, as a vegetarian she ordered a pizza with onion and mushroom. She was disgusted when her pizza arrived loaded with ham. when we said it to the waitress she just said "eh no i think you said ham" which of course a vegetarian wouldnt ever do!!! She removed the pizza and then 10 minutes later it arrived back still loaded with ham!!!! pretty unacceptable in her book!! The waitress again said that my mother-in-law said she wanted ham! Our food was delicious but it was hard to enjoy as we saw how disgusted and disappointed she was!!

My husband and I needed to go somewhere familiar and relaxed to have an intimate discussion about some family stuff and this was the perfect location. The staff are so pleasant and attentive in an unobtrusive way. It was warm and there were THREE birthday celebrations, each conservative and discreet. The food was comforting in the way that only Italian food can be. I started with the Caprese salad and he enjoyed the Garlic mushrooms which were fresh, tasty and generous portions. To my husbands disappointment we both ordered the Buffalo NY Pizza! I just really needed to eat the whole thing to myself and not have to share! Washed down with a couple of Heineken and we were completely satisfied. Highly recommended on all fronts including value for money - once again!

Had some pre show food here Thursday night, as usual was fab, had chicken and mushroom pasta was yummy, garlic mushroom's which are their own unique recipe with melted cheese all delish, washed down with a lovely house white wine. Lunch specials run til 6 and are great value. Only draw back, deserts far to expensive for a cheap eats family pizza place.

We eat here often and love the pizzas. They come out piping hot, on wooden boards, have plenty of toppings and a nice medium crust. The value menu is great - especially the little nibbles beforehand and we like that they do a kids size me - so any pizza available in a kids size. My favourite is kentucky - bbq sauce, chicken, pineapple, red onion, yum.

I must say, I read reviews and wonder do people think they are professionals at this. Do they get a special buzz out of causing Restaurants problems. I am not a Professional at this, I just eat out a lot with my work. I am a customer. No more, No less. I ate here 15 years ago, and decided to drop in again the other day. The best, I mean the best Pizza in town, great staff and great service. I talk about the customer expectations when I write reviews, where they want more than is on offer. I had an expectation when I arrived and it was far over shadowed by the reality of my expectation. This is great restaurant. Cheap and Cheerful and Friendly. Thanks for a great night.

I think Bits and Pizzas are back up to their old high standards. I used the Menupages voucher and we had a really great meal - the Sicilian Pizza is just delicious. The service is really great and the staff are so friendly.

Had the menupages voucher and decided on the two courses. Lovely chicken and sweetcorn soup with a homemade brown roll as a bonus. Pizza with loads of topping. Couldn't finish it was very substantial. Will definitely be back!!

Very pleasant atmospehere. Friendly & courteous staff. Myself & my partner went for the 2 course €15.95 menu. Went for soup as a starter & a pizza could could have gone for garlic mushrooms or lasagne. Plenty of options available. Nice menu. Theres also a 3 course menu for €19.95. Competitive price for house wine. Nice personal service. Would highly recommend.

I used my menupoints for their generous 30 euro voucher. Me and my BF went for special menu 1each. Portions were a bit small, staff was very friendly and helpful, and food was tasty but average, nice place for a quick bite and casual dining.

I was once a regular visitor here many years ago so on Sunday myself and my wife decided to take a trip down memory lane. The service is still as good as ever and the pizza's were lovely too. We went for the value menu(2 courses for €16). They do a lovely kentucky pizza which has a barbeque base instead of the normal tomato and it still tastes magic. My wife had garlic bread with cheese for starter. I had garlic mushrooms,to be honest they were a bit greasy but to be fair i still polished them off. All in all a pretty good experience and we will return for sure.

We ordered from the value meal which gets you 2 courses for 16 euro. We both had pizzas, which were freshly made for you to see and really delicious. I had the Sicilian which is topped with sour cream which was a really interesting and tasty combination! The garlic bread was great too. The staff were lovely and were really accommodating about us changing our booking just a few hours before we were set to arrive. The place was really busy so it had a great atmosphere but i would recommend making a booking before you go to ensure you get a table, we saw quite a few people turned away because the place was full. I will definitely be back!!

Haven't been here in a while, but it is still as tasty as ever. Amazing food, excellent value available with their new special menu, excellent and fast service, very friendly staff, and the best pizzas on the southside! I strongly recommend the garlic mushrooms to start, and the little touches like the bread sticks while you are waiting, make the experience even nicer! We have been going here for years now, and it's still lovely place.

Just wanted to update my review of Bits & Pizzas (last one in August 2010) after two recent visits. I feel a lot of work has gone in to customer service and it has really paid off. The service has been absolutely wonderful the last two times I have been there. Really friendly staff going above and beyond what I would have expected. The food has been really delicious too. Today, I had a salad to start and a vegetarian pizza for main course and both were beautiful. There's a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant, and it's good value. I will definitely aim to return to Bits & Pizzas in the future. Thank you to them for a lovely experience today!

Lovely place, if a little hard to find! very good, kind, efficient service from the staff. Ate here last night, as a table for four, with my 30euro voucher from menupoints. As a gang, we enjoyed chicken skewers, bruschetta, calzone, pizzas, lasagne, banoffee, cheesecake and wine. Loved all of it. Very pleasant place. Might spend another 3000 menupoints on another visit!!! :)

Armed with our 30 euro menupages voucher we arrived at Bits & Pizzas yesterday afternoon and had such a lovely meal. We were greeted by the most lovely Irish lady and seated at our table. We ordered from their value menu €15.25 for two courses (which is amazing value) had mozzeralla and tomatoe salad and the garlic mushrooms to start, then two gorgeous pizzas with delicious potatoe wedges on the side. We also had a small bottle of wine which was great cos find the large bottle a little too much. Had no room for deserts, cant say enough good things about this restaurant, food is fantasic, great value for money and the staff are amazing, we will definitely be back. Well done Bits and Pizzas.

Ate here with a €30 voucher from menupages and glad I didn't have to pay for the meal myself. Hadn't been for a long time and it was a little disappointing. Ordered a portion of garlic mushrooms between us for starters. They were left sitting on the counter for ages and the melted cheese had gone a hard on the top. For mains, my 10 year old nephew had lasange with a side of greek salad, I had the prawns with a side of caeser salad and my sister had a pizza. The 2 salads were almost identical, except for the feta cheese and the olives in the greek salad. Ceaser salad is meant to have cos lettuce, which is the whole point of the dish. My prawns were not good. Cooked to within an inch of their life and they looked very sad all skewered together. It was difficult to get them off the skewer. The lasange the pizza was fine but disappointing overall.

One of my favorite restaurants, for a bit of cheap casual dining. Food is always really good, particularly the pizzas and the early bird is great value. When ever I'm looking for a good value meal in Dun Laoghaire this is always my first choice and has been for several years

I really enjoy visiting this restaurant regularly with my family. This has been a cult Dun Laoghaire eatery for years. The food is fresh, good quality and served with a smile; making good it all look so simple, which it is not. Can be sure to have many more fond memories of this place over the upcoming years.

I absolutely love this little gem of a restaurant. I have been here a good few times with my boyfriend and it never dissapoints. The stonebaked pizzas are so tasty and they add a nice little touch of giving you complimentary bread sticks and dip while you wait. V good value. Can't fault this place.

Used my Menupage.ie points to get a €30 voucher for this place. I hadn't eaten here in such a long time, but the food hasn't changed one bit. Five of us ate here on a Sunday evening, the restuarant was quiet (hadnt expected different given the time and day). We all had starters: 3 Garlic Bread with Cheese, 1 Ceaser Salad and 1 Potato Wedges. All were happy with the starters. If you have a small stomach I'd advise sharing the Wedges as the portion is more than ample for two (with small stomachs). Mains included 4 pizzas (all very nice) and 1 Lobster and Crab Ravioli which was also very nice. We were all too full for Deserts. The toal for the above and 8 bottles of beer came to €80. This price included the reduction of €30 voucher. Well worth the visit there and would definitely recommend it if you like a nice pizza. They have standard pizzas, but you can make you own without any trouble. The staff are very attentive and there was no feeling of being rushed during our visit. Overall, a very enjoyable meal. P.S. They also do take-away (collection) and there appeared to be quite a number of people coming in for this during our visit.

I have a lot of time for this restaurant. I've been twice and both visits were very enjoyable. It's tucked away in a quiet corner of Dun Laoghaire and given that it still seems to be going strong must be down to strong return business because I doubt it gets much opportune passing traffic. Staff are friendly and service was good. The restaurant is cosy and intimate but very simple. There's a great deal approx. e15 for a starter and mains. The garlic mushrooms are very good, as is the cheesey garlic bread (I'm getting hungry again thinking about it). The pizzas have been good too..... the first was the fairly unusual pizza with buffalo wing sauce, very enjoyable. Deserts were simple but lovely too.

I thought I'd update my review as I've been here several times now and absolutely love it! The staff are very friendly and attentive, and each time I've mentioned I am vegan they have managed to accommodate me very well without any hassle. There are SO many different panini fillings to choose from on the lunchtime menu. My favourite has to be spinach, sundried tomatoes, roasted peppers, onions and olives. I've also ordered pizzas without cheese and they've made me some lovely salads too on request. Their wedges are nice, as are their baked potatoes with a filling or two of your choice. I highly recommend this place, I come here every time I go to Dun Laoghaire :)

i have to admit i was dragged here by a relative who has been addicted to this pizzeria since she was a child so we have a long and fond association. the service was excellent, they really fuss over you and want you to enjoy the experience. i had the mushrooms to start which were delicious though very cheesey. I was a bit disappointed with the spinach lasagne it lacked freshness. my fellow eaters loved their pizzas and mother, who is a savage critic, even took her half away 'for later' Id highly recommend this restaurant if you want a casual pizzeria and have family with you

Went here with my €30.00 menupoints voucher and it was lovely, the name suggests a simple pizza place but actually it's a lot fancier. I had lobster and crab ravioli and my mum had a caesar salad. The pasta was really good but much smaller than the salad which was huge! this meant that i was finished way before my mum. Also i found the chicken on the salad a little dry as it was just plain breast you would need a lot of caesar dressing to make it easy to eat. The only other negative was that the menu said we would get complementary nibbles but there were none All in all it was great value for money and the food was tastey, the pizza's looked really good and there was a great atmosphere

Went here as a mini celebration with my other half, and weren't disappointed. I used to eat her quite frequently, so it was nice to see it hadn't changed. the staff were efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere bustling. We shared the chicken wings to start, and both had Americana pizza for mains, as we're both fans of the Jalapenos. We also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Sangiovese. A great reliable restaurant!

Took a dart out to Dun Laoghaire after work on Friday and arranged to meet my boyfriend there. He was late but my waitress had no difficulty seating me on my own and serving me wine and breadsticks while I waited. She even offered me a magazine but I said I was happy soaking up the atmosphere. My boyfriend loves cheesecake so he opted for the three course menu and I had two courses. We both had the garlic mushrooms and noted that they were cheesier than we have ever had before, but they were good if exceedingly calorific!. I had lasagne with greek salad and my boyfriend had the kentucky pizza and we enjoyed these immensley. Cheesecake was lovely homemade. We had the 30 euro menupages voucher and only had to hand over 23 euro for the wine and the rest of the bill. Definitely will be back. Recommended.

This has to be one of the most pleasant dining experiences I've had in Ireland! I went here with a voucher from menupages and really was not expecting much. Located on a quiet road, off the Dun Laoghaire high street, this restaurant is very warm, clean and cosy. All 3 courses were very nicely presented and tasty, and i write this without any hesitation... definitely well prepared. However what really knocked me over in this restaurant is the service. The waitresses were amazing. Of course, we actually go to a restaurant to eat... but the art of serving your customer is what really makes you digest the food nicely, and at Bits and Pizzas, they've mastered this art. The place is very relaxed, family-friendly and offers excellent special offers, and a value-menu. Definitely a place to go back to for dinner, again and again. Oh, and I found out - it seems the banoffee is vegetarian!

I booked a table here last Saturday and decided to cash in my menupoints for this excellent offer in Bits and Pizzas. Having had what may be my last swim of the year in Dublin bay, I was hungry enough to do justice to the restaurants special value meal, 3 courses for 19.50. Bits and Pizzas is up a side street, inside it has nice lighting with pleasant decor and friendly waitresses. The restaurant got busy fairly quickly, we were seated immediately and service was good. We both opted for a caprese salad for starters, and while we were waiting we were given breadsticks and a dip. For Mains I had the Vegetarian Pizza and my partner had the Spinach and mushroom lasagne, the pizza was tasty with just the right amount of topping. For dessert I ordered the white chocolate and lemon cheesecake, which was quite rich. The special value menu in Bits & Pizzas is definitely one of the best deals around considering the quality of the food and the service, they also had some great value wine, we had a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc for around 15 euro. I will definitely be back to Bits and Pizzas next time I’m in Dunlaoghaire for a night out.

My husband and I ate here last night thanks to our menupages voucher. Mucho impressed. Water was served immediately to our table. We both ordered off the value menu. 2 x garlic mushrooms which was delicious. We got complimentary nibbles with dip 1st which had us wanting more. My husband got Americano pizza which was perfect and I got the chicken caeser salad with garlic bread. It was huge, I finished it cause it was the tastiest I've ever had. We got the 50cl of Merlot for 13.50 (excellent value). The service was great and the staff were attentive, efficient and very friendly. Highly recommending this place to all my friends and we'll definitely return soon :)

Had a gorgeous meal here with my boyfriend using the €30 MenuPoints voucher. The restaurant is lovely and has a nice atmosphere. The staff were really nice. We each had the €18.90 value mean and had three courses. I had the garlic bread to start and the lasagane with caesar salad for main. Both dishes were piping hot and delicious. My boyfriend had the hawaiian pizza which was lovely too. For dessert, the chocoloate brownie was gorgeous! Really impressed with this place, I would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

I redeemed my menupages vouchers for a visit here yesterday, it was my first time here but I will definately return as this place is up a side street I've never noticed it before which is a pity becasue the food and service is excellent. We had two value meals and another couple of items not on the value menu, starters were really good chicken wings were delish and the meat was so tender the garlic mushroom are covered in cheese, for mains two pizzas and one prawn skewere dish both pizzas were good one a little dry but this was quickly rectified with some extra sauce from the chef, the menu is a little limited but if you like a good pizza then you're sorted staff are really good and friendly even the chef greeted regular customers which is a nice touch. I will definately return.

We ate here using our menupages points (thank you menupages). Luckily I booked our table as it was chock a block on a Sunday evening. Lots of people waiting for a table - good sign. For starter we both had garlic mushrooms which were smothered with mozzarella and put under a grill. They were fantastic. For mains I had lobster and crab ravioli. It was good, I think I ordered it as I was charmed by the seafood. It did not disappoint but I wouldn't order it again. My other half had Mexican calzone, bit of a rash decision as the pizza he wanted (buffalo) wasn't available. It seemed like dry mince meat in a pizza to me. He ate it all but prob wouldn't go there again. We ordered a bottle of Italian wine which was lovely. Staff were fine, very busy. We were very impressed with the dip we were given with our nibbles for free (if ordering off the value menu). It all started out great, we were blown away by the starter but the mains weren't as good. But I would go back again, good excuse to visit beautiful Dun Laoghaire.

Spent a lovely night in Dun Laoghaire recently and enjoyed a tasty meal in Bits and Pizzas. My boyfriend and I had a two course meal from the Special Value menu (€15.90 for two courses, €19.60 for three courses) that we thoroughly enjoyed, although the choice is quite limited on this menu. As soon as we were seated and orders taken, we were served with bread sticks and a basil dip – I always think free nibbles are a nice touch! I started with a Capri salad that was lovely and fresh and had plenty of mozzarella and followed this with a Florentine pizza. Both courses were very tasty and I really enjoyed them. My boyfriend had baked garlic mushrooms to start that were in butter, parmesan and mozzarella cheese – delicious! He had the Americana pizza that a real kick to it. We finished off with well made coffee. Overall, the food was made with fresh ingredients, was very tasty and was great value for money. The quiet atmosphere in the restaurant when we arrived picked up as things got busy around 8pm. The interior is bright and you can really feel the air-conditioning when you walk in (maybe it needs to be turned down just a tad). The staff were fantastic – two friendly, pleasant women that didn’t leave us waiting at any stage of our meal. The restaurant is situated on a quiet street in Dun Laoghaire so I imagine that the passing trade is not great which is a pity as this restaurant is really good value. We finished off the night with a stroll along the pier followed by a search for Bono’s house in Killiney (no luck!). I’ll definitely be back to Bits and Pizzas.

Have been here a few times and the food was good, but this time We found the pasta to be very dry both the lasagne and the chicken and mushroom pasta. The garlic mushrooms were burnt so wasnt impressed this time

Myself and my mum had lunch here and I used the 30 euro menu points voucher. We ate from the special value menu - which is great value. I had the Chicken pizza and mum had the Chicken Caesar salad and a portion of wedges. Then I had a caramel shortcake with coffee and mum had a Knickerbocker Glory from the main menu. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The total cost of the bill was €36.05. If in Dunlaoghaire area I would definitely recommend it.

Went here last saturday night with my girlfriend and used the menupages €30 voucher. We ordered from the value menu which was 3 courses for 18.80 or 2 for c. €15 For starter I had the mushrooms sfuffed with cheese and they were delicous. My girlfriend had a capri salad which was spot on. For main we both had pizzas which were very good, Medium to thin base, good flavour from the tomato sauce and tasted very fresh and tasty. I had a chocolcate brownie dessert which was pretty good, smallish. But I cant complain against the portion sizes because after three courses I was just nicely full and able to enjoy all three. So each course was just right. Overall the value was excellent. The service was no nonsense, friendly and not too in your face. The restaurant itsellf is cosy and nice and its easy to chat away and enjoy an evening with just some quiet music in the background. I would recommend as a very good value spot with nice food and will definately be revisiting.

Had a really great experience here. Greeted with a smile and service was swift. I just had the tiger prawns (delish!), but the other half went with the 3 course option-fresh Capri salad, a rich lobster&crab ravioli followed by apple crumble and cream. We shared a small bottle of pinot grigio-perfect! Excellent value, highly recommended. Already making plans to return!

I went here with my girlfriend and her brother for dinner. We had a menupages voucher, which made the meal quite affordable (we probably would have ordered differently had we not had the voucher). That being said, the food was very good. We each ordered from the value menu and got two (or three, in my case) courses. I started with the capri salad, which was good, and had the peppadew pizza, which was excellent. My girlfriend had the garlic mushrooms, which were quite nice and substanital. She got a pizza with blue cheese and walnuts, which was delicious, while her brother got the marinara which had prawns, and which he wolfed down. For dessert I got the apple and strawberry crumble, which was excellent, and the other two shared the chocolate brownie. The service at Bits and Pizzas is exemplary, and I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who finds himself or herself in Dun Laogharie.

Brilliant night. We had only booked a table for 2 but meet friends outside the restaurant and B&P were able to accommodate us and join two tables together. The staff are so friendly and very attentive! There was an option of two menus when we arrived one was a special menu which offers 2 courses for 15.90 or 3 courses for 19.50 I think. The other menu was a little more expensive but did have a huge selection. But all in all very good value. The food was exceptionally nice. Bits and Pizzas is quite central in Dun Laoghaire on Patrick street, so many buses and the dart operate close by. There is parking just outside the door if your lucky enough to get a spot. The atmosphere was lovely, the tables weren't on top of one another or anything. The restaurant is suitable for everyone from families to couples to groups. To be honest I haven't a bad word to say about the place!!

We shared a belated birthday meal here during the week, a little bit quiet being mid week, but still a nice soothing atmosphere. The staff were very friendly without being too intrusive. We both had garlic bread with cheese to start, which was lovely, a really generous portion but way too good to leave any! I can never go to a restaurnat with pizza on the menu and not order pizza! I had the Pepperdew, there were some lovely original pizza ideas on the menu. The other half opted for a more meaty pizza. We shared a bottle of white wine and were both far to content with the two courses to think about a dessert.I would most certainly return here, it was very enjoyable meal.

I went to Bits&Pizzas one friday afternoon with my friends. There was very little staff there that day and we were the only customers there. The staff were quite hostile towards us especially when we gave them a voucher to go towards our meal. I found the lunch menu very overpriced but had been assured that the €8.95 pizza and garlic bread was filling. We were waiting a long time for our food and when it eventually arrived it was on a small rectangular plate with two small pieces of garlic bread and a tiny pizza. The pizza and garlic bread were delicious but wasn't filling at all. Lets just say I was glad I had a voucher.

Visited here on a quiet sunday evening with my girlfriend for dinner. Looked closed and run down from the outside. Once we got in though was a different story very friendly staff and nice spacious restuarant inside. There is a main menu and a value menu with good options. We opted for the garlic mushromos with cheese and the Garlic bread to start with as previous reviewers have stated was very tasy, for mains then the Sicillian Pizza was really top notch along with the BBQ Chicken Kentucky. Would def go back again and recommend not on the main st in Dun Laoighaire so wouldnt have known it was there were it not for menupages article.

Used some of my menupoints to get a voucher for this place just to try it, wouldn't normally make my way to Dun Laoghaire but it was a halfway point for meeting some friends. It wasn't too busy which was kind of nice but there was enough people there for a rainy Tuesday to make a good omen. The free nibbles while you wait didn't fill me with excitement although the pesto mayonnaise dip was quite tasty. We ordered from the value menu, €19.50 for 3 courses. There was just enough choice to make it easy enough to make a decision rather than spending hours poring over the menu. I had the garlic bread with cheese to start - 4 pieces of fresh crispy bread with just enough garlic butter to bring out the taste without overpowering and not an over fill of cheese either. Perfect! I tried the mushroom and basil soup also, delicious mushroom soup, no need for the basil though. Not a fan of actual mushrooms but my 2 companions who had the garlic mushrooms declared them fabulous. For mains, I had the Americana pizza - the centre felt a little underdone - still tasty but I prefer mine a little crispier. Just the right amount of toppings though which can make all the difference. I tried the chicken and mushroom tagliatelle which didn't really faze or amaze me to be honest. Then.....dessert. I had the warm chocolate brownie, with ice cream and chocolate sauce. Totally calorific but I didn't care, it was fabulous! Everyone really enjoyed the various desserts and when we put my menupages voucher towards the bill - 3 course meal, with drinks and coffees, only worked out at €21 each (before tip). The staff were extremely courteous and welcoming so a decent tip was left. Looking forward to heading back again!!

Visited this restaurant for Fathers Day last Sunday for the first time in several years and left wondering why we had left it so long. This restaurant is in our opinion streets ahead of the large 'chain' pizza restaurants - the staff were excellent, smiling, pleasant and attentive and keen to point out special deals / best value on the menu. We all had excellent pizzas, and my chocolate brownie served warm with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream was simply divine! Hubby was happy to be able to order a pint of beer with his pizza and kids were delighted with a knickerbocker glory. 2 courses was roughly 15.50 and 3 courses approx 18.50 - really great value! Will definitely be visiting again in the near future and would recommend to anyone.

Using my Menupoints, my husband and I visited Bits and Pizzas - he had never been there and it is quite a while since I visited. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and efficient and added to a very good experience. We each had a starter and main course off the 3 Course menu and they were tasty and very filling - soup and lasagne for him with mushrooms and pizza for me. I couldn't manage to finish the pizza so was given the remainder in a box to bring home which is always a nice touch. Husband had a couple of beers and I had a glass of wine which really made the meal complete - otherwise I would have had the chocolate brownie and ice cream which looked absolutely delicious. We were both impressed with the place and will definitely return. Well done to everyone there.

Visited with my menu pages points and had a lovely evening. We ordered and when the wine was served we also were served breadsticks which I love with a lovely light pesto mayonnaise, nice touch. I had delicious mushrooms to start and my boyfriend has garlic bread which was good With both went for the pizza and it was a good pizza with lovely fresh and good quality ingredients, however the style of pizza would not be my favorite as I would prefer it thinner (this is merely personal taste and not a reflection on the pizza) Even without the points the value menu, which we both ate from is very good value The service was efficient, helpful and friendly in all I would recommend and I will return.

I went here on good friday with a friend. The restaurant itself is quite comfy. I had the wings for starter and she had the prawns , the prawns were a bit bland but the wings were lovely and spicy. We both shared a spicy meat pizza and it was delicous , very fresh and tasty, Its an ideal place for good nice food and cheap and cheerfull would go back again.

We go to Bits and Pizzas pretty regularly and we have never had a bad experience there. The food is excellent quality and value. Most people describe it as cheap and cheerful, it is, but without compromising on anything. The staff are all friendly and service is good. I like watching the kitchen too. The value menu is wonderful I usually start with the salad which has a nice amount of mozzarella and rocket and is just so fresh and wonderful. For mains I have had the lobster ravioli and a number of the pizzas and they have all been good. Hubby usually has the lasagna. I try really hard to have some ice cream, even if it is just one scoop. It is so delicious. The only problem is that with being so consistently good we very seldom want to try anywhere else.

my partner and my two sons went here for a saturday pizza in February, my sons ordered the kids pizza and icecream and both my partner and I ordered from the two course menu. I had a lovely pizza with rocket and very lean parma ham and the homemade icecream (rum and raisin) was fab! My partner had the Capri salad and the americana salad (and a fair bit of my ice cream... even though he doesn't like icecream) It was a lovely meal, extremely child friendly at 6.30 on a rainy saturday evening. we will definatley go again!

My SO had been heard positive things about this "cheap and cheerful" restaurant and so we decided to give it a go. First impressions: we could visibly see the pizzas being made which we liked, the decor was modern and the atmosphere was quite nice. We were seated in a very friendly manner, however we didn't like the table so we moved to another which was no problem. The menu is nice and varied, pricey enough (e15+ for a pizza) in hindsight as the pizzas were smaller than we expected when they came out. The service was prompt, efficient and friendly. Our pizzas were quite good. For 2 cokes, 2 pizzas, 2 cappucccinos the bill came to around the e45 mark. Not bad, but for the time that we ate (18.00) we easily could have availed of an Early Bird that would have amounted to better value. In this price conscientious time I did feel slightly hard done by in hindsight. But would definitely go back if I were in the mood for a pizza & maybe avail of their lunch specials....

I went here and from the min I got in it was packed but we were only waiting a few mins then got a nice quiet table down the back, the waitress was extremely nice and very helpfull with what food she recommended. I got chicken wings for the starter and Spagetti bolonaise for mains, the service was very quick and both dishes were served at the right moment. The chicken wings were delicious and would definitly be ones Id recommend getting again. The Spagetti bolonaise was basic but there was a good portion served out which made up for it.I would definitly return again to this restaurant as the meal both starter and main course with a gass of wine cost less then 20euro.

I used my menupages voucher to go to this restaurant and lets just say, I will definitely be returning. I DEFINITELY reccommend the chicken wings, they are the best I've ever had. The chicken is succulent and the sauce is so tasty you just want to keep licking your fingers!! :) The pizza I hadd would have been nice, but I chose toppings that I didn't like. Other than that it was lovely! The waitress was lovely, and you get breadsticks and dip to nibble on while you wait :) I cannot wait to return and try the chicken wings again.

This is a great place. Visited here last week and were more than satisfied. We started with the hot and spicy chicken wings and the soup of the day (vegetable) to start. Both were lovely - especially the chicken wings which were the best I've ever had. Really melt-in-the-mouth. For mains we had the chicken and mushroom tagliatelle and spaghetti bolognese. Both were absolutely huge and very good, especially the former. After such big mains, we were too stuffed for dessert but had nice, hot coffees. Service was grand and there was a special offer menu as well as the main one. We got in early so it was fairly quiet when we arrived but it had started to fill up by the time we left. Well worth a return visit.

I exchanged 2500 menu points and got a 30euro voucher for Bits and Pizzas. I booked the restaurant with Menupages at the same time which is very convenient ! We went to Dun laoghaire and had a lovely long wallk along the pier and worked up a nice appetite. We had 2 courses each for the great price of 15.90. I had Funghi Pizza which was delicious followed by a scrumptious white chocolate and lemon cheescake (to die for !). Hubby had garlic mushrooms followed by hawaian pizza and he cleared his plate with both. All in all a great day out. Restaurant was nicely busy, staff very friendly and service was excellent. I will definitely return, with or without vouchers, as the pizzas are great here.

We used out menupages voucher here and it was easier then expected, as a first timer I had no idea what to expect! We arrived at 4pm and understandably the place was empty but that didn't put us off. We started with Capri salad and potato wedges, both of which were acceptable, instead of basil leaves they used pesto in the salad, something I have seen in a few places now, it must save a few euros! For mains we had a pepperoni pizza and lasagne with Greek salad. The pizza was perfect, as was the lasagne and the salad was nice and fresh, though it wasn't a Greek salad (at least not according to the Greeks who fed me last summer!!!) We had some beers and espresso and as we were leaving I noticed the place was beginning to fill up, with fresh food and decent prices I'm sure this place is a regular for some folks. Finally the service could not have been better, the waitress was friendly without being familiar and all our needs were looked after.

Once again I have nothing but praise for bits and pizzas. The wings are addictive and if my husband tries to steal one there is trouble. The Mushrooms are to die for... Not the usual deep fried breaded type but proper cooked whole and juicey ones topped with stringy sweet motzarella and garlic. Yummy... Since my 2 yr old was with me I decided on the pizza so she could share some. I went for my own - extra cheese ham sweetcorn and pepperoni. The base is crisp and light the sauce mouthwatering and the topping plentyfull. We will be back next month again.

Ate here using a menupages voucher and we both enjoyed our visit. The service was extremely pleasant and smiling. For starters we both had garlic mushrooms which were pipng hot and very tasty. For mains I had a generous slice of homemade lasagne accompanied by garlic bread which I loved. My companion chose a quattro frommagio pizza which he raved about. I had a slice of cheesecake for desert whilst my companion had a rhubarb crumble. Both deserts were very enjoyable. This eatery offers excellent value for money. The atmosphere was fine albeit a tad quiet. I will return here again.

A friend and myself dined at Bits & Pizzas - I had a Menupages voucher. We had both eaten here before and weren't disappointed this time. The value menu is good. My friend had chicken wings starter - chilli-hot and finger-lickin' good - she asked for them specially! The lasagne and lobster and crab-filled ravioli were delicious and my side salad was large with a variety of leaves etc. The service was friendly and helpful without being overdone. So, we had a lovely meal - no pizzas for us this time but the alternatives offered are great.

As regular customers, once again we were not dissapointed in service or food. A lovely christmas tradition, no reservation required. Great value for money, never a let down at Bits and Pizzas. Best pizza around.

Went here with the family on a menupages voucher. Its a lovely place, clean and bright with candles lighting on the table. We ordered of the value menu which was 2 courses for 15.99. To be honest, I dont think that's great value. We had a mixture of starters from garlic mushrooms, garlic bread and salad, they were all delcioous particularly the mushrooms. The pizzas are 10 inch and with the average pizza coming in at 15 euro, I think they are way too expensive. The pizzas were lovely but I felt a little thick. The staff were very nice and we had a house nice wine. I would'nt have come here without the vouchers as the prices are way to high for a pizzeria and I think should be amended accordingly.

I exchanged my menupoints for a voucher here and it couldn't have been better spent. Firstly, it was such a good deal I had to go for it and secondly, the menu looked delicious and it really didn't disappoint. We had the chicken wings with the Sicilian pizza. Dear Lord - the meat just fell off the chicken wings. I'm usually quite picky about them but these were gorgeous. The pizza was the most delicious combination I had in a long time. The waitresses were nice and friendlly and the drinks and dessert menu good and varied. Would highly recommend going here, even if it involves a journey! And I will definitely be back.

This is one of the very few good reliable places to eat in Dun Laoghaire. It has a welcoming atmosphere, good-humoured staff and is very affordable. The food is unpretentious and filling. It is not a gourmet restaurant, but the pizzas are very tasty - my regular favourite is the bbq chicken pizza followed by a slice of wonderfully wicked banoffi pie. I have been ordering the same dish on every visit for the last 7 years, and it has never disappointed me. It is great for families, girl-night dinners, a casual romantic meal..... Good for the tastebuds and easy on your wallet!

Myself and my daughter visited here before a show in the area. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome and were wonderful with my young daughter. The food was excellent and I found it extremely good value. I used to go when I lived in the area so it was really nice to see the place still has kept up the high standard of food and service I remembered well.

Ate here last night and have to say I was more than happy with everything. For starters I had the Garlic Mushrooms which were very tasty and for Mains I had the Pollo pizza on a gluten free base. I have to say it was one of the nicer gluten free pizzas I have had in a long time and at no extra cost which was a bonus. Staff are very friendly and accomadating and service fast, I would recommend a visit :)

We liked this place. The food wasn't bad but we didn't have a great experience. I'd say that if we went again that we'd be likely to have a much better night. Reluctant to go back but Service was really good.

Love this restaurant. The food, service, value and location. I always find the staff are very accommodating with my specific tastes. The set lunch menu is great with the starter and main for €10. We got bread sticks one time while waiting on our main with the house sauce. Very nice I might add. Service is always very good. Atmosphere is great in the small cosy setting. Really like the way the kitchen is surrounded bu the seats and you can see everything. Favourite pizza place

Definitely one of the best little spots in Dun Laoghaire. I tried their Kentucky pizza with barbecue sauce, it is gorgeous. They also have really nice salads. Very cosy inside but they deliver too. Great and interesting pizza options; I will be back for sure!

I was here back in August, I went on a date with my partner. The atmosphere was enchanting, that of a small side street pizzeria - which it is! The staff were very friendly. We ate off the Special value menu. I've eaten off many early bird or special menus before and was a little worried because the standard you normal have with these deals is poor. However I was astonished by the standard of the food off this menu. For startes I had the capri salad which is very very morish! Mouth watering! I chose the americano pizza for my main and this was THE best pizza I have ever eaten! Perfect. I was quite full at this point and didnt really want dessert but i chose the chocolate brownie neverthe less... WOW! From start to finish this was definitley a perfect evening, from the atmosphere to the wine! Perfecto!

We arrived with our two children at 6pm on a Sunday. The waitress warned us that the only table available was next to a riotous party of 7 year olds. They certainly added to the atmosphere but I was somewhat relieved when the candles were blown out and the various parents arrived to collect their children. The waiting staff were remarkably calm and polite throughout and when we revealed that we have just survived a kids party ourselves at home the previous day they brought the kids' deserts with candles for our own birthday girl. She was very impressed. Pizzas were very good, thin and tasty. I had a chicken Caesar salad for 12.75 which was fresh but lacking flavour and dressing. I wouldn't order it again. Good for a cheap eat out with a young family although the deserts are pricey unless ordered from the special 2 / 3 courses menu. The friendly, efficient staff are the highlight of this place and made the experience special for us but overall there's a feeling of complacency about the food.

Always seem to have a pleasant experience when I come here and this time was no exception. Our food was fresh tasting and the portion size was decent. The set menu is great value for money. The pizzas also taste great the following morning! The staff are refreshingly helpful and friendly - something which is increasingly hard to find in Dublin. It's a great family restaurant, they are especially accommodating for birthdays and family meals. Have been going for years and will be back soon!

Went for dinner on Friday. The restaurant is of casual/relaxed style. We were served by 2 waitresses & they were very friendly and attentive. Food didn't let us down either. i had the pollo pizza(with pesto, chicken, chilli) and my friend had the minarara pizza (prawns, tomato, mozeralla). Both were delicious(though i find mine was a little bit oily) and of good size. We were too full for desserts. The place was almost full when we left at 7pm. would be back if around DL area.

Ate here using my Menu Pages points for the first time and really enjoyed it.It was a busy night with a couple of large groups including one of about 15 people but the staff coped very well and service was great. my companion had the cambozola with added jalapenos and I had the peppadew. Both were cooked well and had plenty of flavour if maybe a little lacking in the sundried tomatoes promised. I had a glass of the pinot grigio which though nice, I didn't find it complimented the food that well.Really like that they cook the food in full view of the diners. Overall, a nice restaurant but maybe not ideal for a romantic meal on a Friday night due to the large, loud groups. Will be back again as they have plenty of choice and some good dreals.

Came here again today with my family for lunch, with thanks to my Menupages 30 euro voucher. There are never any complaints from my 11 and 9 year olds when we come here. They went for a regular marguerita and chicken wings respectively and refrained from bickering for the duration of their meal, which is a feat in itself! I had the caesar salad. Service and atmosphere as usual is relaxed and easy going. Never any complaints with this wonderful family restaurant.

The atmosphere in this restaurant was relaxed and easy-going, and the staff were friendly and very helpful and pleasant. We had the tiger prawns for starters which were nice and juicy and the chicken salad and pizza for mains were also delicious. Their homemade ice-cream is yummy and there is a great more-ish selection on the dessert menu. This is good honest food and I look forward to my next visit.

Went here with few friends a few weeks ago, hadn't been here since the early 90's and it hasn't changed much. Iordered the chicken pizza with pesto base instead of tomato and it was quite bland. Service was okay as in fact was entire meal - left feeling as if something was missing from whole experience. I think value for money there's much better out there.

I have eaten in here a few times, and I always come away happy. With some unusual pizza choices you can get a bit startled at first, but I had the pizza with sour cream, which intrigued me as soon as I saw it on the menu, and it didn't disappoint. Lovely rich flavours, and the pizza was a decent size, if not a little too big! (which is a good complaint for a restaurant, I think!) It's not a romantic kind of place, but it does lovely food at pretty decent prices, and is worth the trip out of town if you don't live nearby. Recommended.

We dined here yesterday after receiving a voucher from menupages points. Did'nt look great from outside, but once we entered we were pleasantly surprised, warm welcoming decor, friendly staff, great atmosphere and fab italian food. We ordered the mushroom garlic starter followed by a pizza and then a chocolate fudge brownie served with home made ice cream. Full marks, would highly recommend.

We came in off the street one Sunday afternoon without a booking and were impressed with what we found. The menu has a variety of dishes on offer and I really enjoyed the pizza that I chose. The service is quick, and the waiters are friendly but not in your face. The bill was very reasonable and there was enough choice on the menu that I'd like to go back again. Although not an outstanding restaurant that I'd remember to go out and rave about to my friends, I'd have no hesitation in recommending 'Bits and Pizzas' if they came up in conversation.

We went here with friends for a quick bite to eat one Sunday. I must admit when I walked in, it didn't look up to much. We sat down and had a look at the menu, its not a huge menu but has enough options. The Garlic mushrooms were divine, I could of done with a double portion! I followed that with a chicken pesto pizza. The others had the mushrooms and pizzas also, very happy with the food. We will definitely be back... Soon!

I went the restaurant with a group of four friends to get something to eat before the cinema. We got a table straight away and ordered off the special value 2 course menu which is great value as it is only 15.90 and you can choose from a selection of starters or desserts and then any pizza off the menu or selected pasta dishes or salads. A few of us had the Capri salad to start which was amazing and full of flavour and just the right size. One of the girls had the baked mushrooms which were equally tasty. We all then had different pizzas for our mains. I found the pizzas to be the perfect size and the dough to be lovely and light and thin. We were all so impressed with our food and the service could not have been any better.

I used to go to this place literally every weekend as it was cheap tasty eats. Hadnt been here in ages and since then there seems to be much more choice with restaurants in the area. Too be honest found the pizza base way to thick, i like the starters though they aren't as good value as they used to be. The prices now reflect well known restaurants where as they used to be more reasonable. The staff are generally friendly and helpful though and the atmosphere is quite casual enough that you could stroll in and get a table.

I work in Dun Laoghaire so often come here on my lunch and have been for about 10 years! You can't beat Bitz&Pizzas, the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The pizzas are great and today my friend had the bolognaise which she said was top class. They have a lunch special too which is great value and they're always very quick which is good for a lunch break! I often get a take away pizza from here too which is much better than many other chain pizza stores. They do some great ice cream too for after. It's a real family restaurant too. If I was looking fr something a bit special I might go elsewhere but for a great dinner at good value in nice surroundings I'd definitely come here.

Best pizza in Dublin! I've been going to Bits n' Pizzas for years and its consistently great. Delicious pizzas, great service and great value for money. I always get pizza but they have some other things like lasange on the menu which I've heard are also delicious from friends. They also deliver so if you live in the Dun Laoghaire area this is where to get your take away pizza from, and its usually very quick too and always piping hot when delivered. They often send me takeaway vouchers via text too which are great if you order from them a lot. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I went here to use our €30 voucher we got from menupages. We arrived at 6:30pm and were greeted by a very friendly girl who showed us to our seats and told us what the specials were. For starters, I had a mini Mushroom lasange which was beautiful. My boyfriend has baked mushrooms which were equally tasty. For mains, we both went for a pizza which again were faultless, just the right size and a nice thin(not doughy) base. For dessert, neither of use could resist the chocolate brownie which was served with a scoop of ice cream and warm chocolate sauce. Again, we were not disappointed. When we went to pay there were no issues using the menupages voucher which was great. Often times, using a voucher can cause a big stir and embarrassment for people but she didn't even bat an eyelid. We would have no hesitation in returning and will probably save up our menupoints again for another voucher. Not a negative thing to say about the place. All the staff were very friendly and the service was just the right speed.

Great little restaurant. Hope it never changes. I remember being brought to this restaurant as a child and hope to be bringing my own children here someday!. Reliable quality and good value. We ate here on a saturday night recently, it was suprisingly quiet enough which was fine for us. I had americana pizza & prawns for main & starter followed by chocolate brownie cake shared between 2 of us. Everything was tasty & cooked just fine.

Really lovely pizza though pricey at 15 euro for one. Baked potatos are lovely too. Busy at lunchtime but served quickly and will be back again.

I love Bits N Pizza - the food and service are always top notch. I love the caesar salad starter. They do a great lunch special which is great value, I only wish I still worked in DL so I could go there!

Visited here last Monday with Mam, my sister and 2 year old nephew, the restaurant was busy enough for a Monday. We chose from the value menu - the choice of starters was a bit limited but there were plenty of mains to choose from. The waiting staff were very good with my nephew and he enjoyed his pizza! Food was tasty, not spectacular but grand for a casual Monday night out!

used my menupoints here and was delighted. Great pizza, great salad, the service was very polite (if a little slow) and had no problem using our voucher. We ordered off the 15.50 for two courses menu and it seemed quite good value, even if we hadn't had the voucher. The portions are pretty big so you could definitely share if you wanted to. I had the ceaser salad, which was huge came with garlic bread and was very good. One fault is the place is a bit cold, I'd recommend sitting in at the back rather than at the front at the window.

Went here with hubby and two kids (6&2) for early dinner; service was excellent - our server looked after the kids very well with notebooks and pens and spoke directly to them rather than through us which was nice. Very friendly service. There was a great value offer on for two courses which my husband and I both opted for and we were delighted with the food. Nothing spectacular but tasty, hot and enjoyable - exactly what we wanted and expected. The girls each ate their FULL pizza which never happens so hats off to the chef! Great value - I used my menupoints to get a €30 voucher so was even better value! Would definitely recommend for a bite.

I have eaten here a few times, mostly with family, for which it is quite accomodating. There is a nice relaxed, cozy atmosphere. The food is cooked in the middle of the room so if you enjoy watching your pizza being made then youll like this place. Its mostly Italian pastas, pizzas and salads and the food is tasty, wholesome and the portions are just right. I thought that I got great value for money last week as there is currenlty a special offer running where you can get 2 courses for 15.90. So myself and my friend shared a starter, the delicious chessy, garlic mushrooms (perfect to share) and then got a caesar salad and pizza which we shared and then a desert, profiteroles and cream. It ended up being a lot of food and leaving both of us very full, all for just 30e. We had a bottle of wine also, they have a good selection. So all in all it was a good night. The service is a little slow but we were in no rush so there wasnt a problem and the waiting staff were friendly. The food isnt amazing, but it hits the spot!

Ate there on thursday night before a movie. We are a group of wheelchair users and the staff are very friendly and accomadating to us always. Food is mostly very nice sometimes chicken wings portions are bigger or smaller depending on who is serving. The special lunch menu is great value for money but if you go to the main menu it can end up a bit expensive.

We ate here last Saturday 2 adults and 2 children for dinner and I could not get over how expensive the place is. The two children's meals, one had pizza margherita, the other had spaghetti bolognese with a drink each and one scoop of ice cream for desert at a cost of 10.95 each, which is very expensive for a child's meal. We didn't have any starters, I had a calzone pizza for a main course which was €15 and in fact most of their pizzas are around €15 give or take a euro. The pizza itself was burnt on the top and even though it was a Mexican beef I was very disappointed as it lacked any real taste. My partner has the chicken Caesar salad which was very tasty and a good portion for a main course. We had a bottle of Australian red and the total bill came to €78. I wont be back, although the service was very good and friendly, I think for what we got it was very expensive and definitely not child friendly.

Nice laid back atmosphere, seemed very child friendly, lots of families in having Birthday parties etc.Chicken wings to start were really tasty and the cucumber mayonaise that came with whem refreshing. Mains fell down a bit, my spaghetti bolognaise contained alot of spagetti and very little meat/sauce (maybe they'd run out) My boyfriend liked his hawain pizza, he thought the base was particularily good. The pizzas and salads we saw being madeup looked really good though so maybe I just picked the wrong thing. The dessert menu was varied if a bit pricey. We had some really nice ice cream that tasted homemade and a large slice of bannofie pie. A really relaxed family style restaraunt with a bit more class than the usual pizza joint. I'd try it again if I was in the mood for something fast and filling.

Set menu of 2 courses for 15.50 or 3 for 19.00. Garlic mushrooms were fantastic, as always. I would usually have pasta, but had a hawaiian pizza for a change. Just enough toppings and a nice crispy base. Will definately be back

The pizzas are great. I went here with my boyfriend and we both had food from the set menu, which was great value. I had the garlic mushrooms and they were amazing! My boyfriend had the mushroom lasagne which seemed strange but was nice. Having breadsticks brought to the table while we waited for our food was lovely. The atmosphere isn't always good but I like going to this restaurant and I'd have no problem recommending it to other people.

Eat here once a week pizzas are incredible. Also love their salads, very tasty and great portions. Interior of restaurant is cozy and warm, service has always been friendly and attentive. Not a big fan of their pasta dishes, lasagna was soggy and stuffed with mince, it needed a bit more for me. Also Greek salad was nice but loaded with a mayo texture dressing, advice- ask for portion of dressing.

Bits and pizzas is an old favourite. Everything from the pizza's to the pastas and desserts are yum. The staff are very down to earth and helpful even at busy times. The value menu at the minute is a pretty good offer with two or three course options. Definitely a place to visit if in the Dun Laoghaire area.

Bits & Pizzas is a charming restaurant. Their pizzas are gorgeous, the base in particular marking them out an making it one of my favourite places to eat. They also offer a selection of pasta that are lways very generously portioned. They have a reasonable lunch meal deal with a small pizza and a side order for less than 9euro. The staff is usually quite friendly. Last time I was there, the aroma alone made my mouth water. Unfortunately I found that it is rather more expensive than the last time I was there.

I used my menu points for a €30 voucher, no restrictions! I was amazed waiting for some kind of catch but the waitress was very happy to take the voucher, no questions asked. Got the two course for €15.90. Lasagne as starter was delicious, not too filling. Husband got the garlic mushrooms with melted mozzarella! I couldn't stop stealing them! My pizza was Papadew, my husbands was the Carbalzano or however how you spell it :P The food really was yum. The waitress asked if I wanted extra parmesan and she ended up leaving the shaker there. Needless to say I made good use of it! Service was great, very pleasant and attentive people working there. Never had a waitress make sure our meal was ok so many times without being annoying. Very pleased over all. Will be back even though I live in the city centre and there's a bit of a commute to Dun Laoghaire. Overall this place was amazing and I will defo be back very soon to sample more on their menu.

I went here last night with my €30 menupages voucher in hand expecting some sort of a catch. However I was pleasantly surprised. We were allowed order from the special menu, two courses for under €16, which I had thought wouldn’t be allowed. We were given complimentary breadsticks and a red pesto type dip while we were waiting. I ordered the spinach and mushroom mini lasagne to start and my Mr. got the garlic mushrooms. Both were really tasty and big for a starter. We got the goat’s cheese, rocket and spicy peppers pizza and the vegetarian pizza for mains. The goat’s cheese pizza was absolutely gorgeous and the veggie was nice but not as good. I had a red Shiraz which was really tasty. All in all the meal came to €45 euro so with our voucher it was a really good deal. The waiter was so nice, attentive and helpful, it was the first time in ages I left a big tip. Would definitely visit again if I was out around Dunlaoghaire.

Nice food, great value. Went here on a busy Saturday night so unfortunatley were put at a table in the corner right beside the bathrooms. The Christmas value menu was fantastic value with two courses for 16euro. What made it even better was that we used 2.500 menupoints to get the 30euro voucher!! We had the garlic mushrooms to start, followed by the lasagne and pollo pizza for mains and the Christmas crumble for dessert - all of which were very tasty but the garlic mushrooms were my favourite part of the meal!

Spent my Menupoints here a few nights ago, I have to say I found it very tasty. The caesar Salad for starters was lovely and I had a veggy pizza for mains. Bits and Pizzas for me is like slipping into pyjamas and having a couch day. I have been a patron of this restaurant for over 12 years, the food is not gourmet but the value is excellent and pizza's are superb. I generally have the garlic mushrooms and a pasta dish. The mushrooms come served in oil and are a guilty pleasure! The chicken pasta dish is a small bit heavy and slightly bland, but good comfort food when your really hungry. I have tried many deserts here, ranging from fruit crumbles to chocolate cakes and they are always good. My dining partners always enjoy their pizza, and make comments on how good it is, especially the seafood pizza. Full bar and a sufficient wine list also. Lovely atmosphere and have never had bad service on any occasion here.

Very impressed with this place. Decided to use my menu points and got a €30 voucher for here. Went with my boyfriend and I think it is the best pizza in Dublin. We shared baked garlic mushrooms to start. Very nice but very bad for you. Lots of delicious garlic butter and melted cheese. Yum. For mains, I had the sicilian pizza, which had Italian sausage, caramelised onions and sour cream. It was fantastic. Really nice pizza base and the toppings were so tasty together. My boyfriend had the Florentine pizza which looked really good too! They seem to offer gluten free and cheese free pizzas too which is great. Best of all the meal cost €6 with my voucher and was rounded off by a stroll along the pier. Will be back.

We have been going to this place as a family for almost twenty years, and it is easily one of my favourites. Yes you can get far more 'Italian' pizzas elsewhere, yes the dessert menu is reassuringly old-fashioned - but it is always enjoyable. The food is simple and always piping hot (a merit overlooked in several restaurants!). The lunch special is great value, and the chicken wings alone make a walk down the pier and back up the hill worthwhile. The staff are always lovely, and the atmosphere is realaxed.

It's nice to find a good restaurant that is open during the day and this is definitely one! I had the prawns on a skewer and a greek salad,my friend had the chicken caesar salad, both were very fresh and cooked to perfection. The portions were also generous, service was good and the restaurant is spacious and airy. I got the feeling that the staff pride themselves on giving customers a positive experience. A good italian cappucino rounded off the meal nicely. Will be back to try their pizzas next time! They looked delicious.

I came here for a pizza one evening. It's a nice little restaurant, looks quaint from the outside. Quite a mixed bunch of people seem to eat here, families, couples, young people and the restaurant caters for all. The pizza was a really Irish old style pizza, simple ingredients, didn't try to be too extravagant and creative. Was very impressed with the food and restaurant.

I ate here with a friend after some shopping. I got a pizza, my friend got pasta. My pizza was nice, I have eaten in places with much better value for price. The interior is ok for lunch time but for dining i don't think its one to set the mood. Its very simple and cafe like. They do delivery service of which i would most likely to not order from, as i would much prefare to order from take away pizza for more taste. Two word for this place - plain/pricey!

I had eaten in Bits & Pizza's once before and I have to say I wasn't that impressed with what I had eaten. But from anyone I had spoken to, it certainly seemed that I was the exception and not the rule. So I decided to give it one more go and booked a table for myself and my girlfriend. I have to say I really enjoyed the meal I had. We ate early on a Saturday evening, so the restaurant was quiet enough at this time. The staff were very friendly and attentive, without being overbearing, which can sometimes happened when eating in a restaurant that is not that busy. The food was really tasty and the portions were just right. We had starters, mains (with a couple of sides) and dessert, which came to just a little over €60. Which I definitely thought was value for money. I will definitely be calling in again.

I have been going to this place since I was a child. The food is genearlly excellent and the waters are friendly. I was here with my girlfriend last week. We each ordered a portion of the chicken wings, which are absolutely delicious, to start, and then shared a vegetarian pizza with pepperoni (I'm aware of the riony), we also shared a half bottle of the house red. I cannot fault the food, it is consistently tasty, or the staff who have always been friendly and helpful, however, we both felt that the food was overpriced. A 9 inch pizza costs an average of 15 euro, which I feel is just too much for what you get.

What appears to be a generic Italian restaurant has something that keeps bringing people back for years. For me it's the pizza, though on the pricey side, is deliciously authentic (the cheese is great and the pizza is cooked in front of you). Deserts are also very good.

Went here with my husband to use the €30 menupages voucher. We shared the garlic mushrooms for starter which were nice. We both got a pizza for rmain course. I got the peppadew (mozzarella, goats cheese, piquant peppers and rocket). This was nice except that the edges of the pizza were burnt i.e. black and the rocket was just thrown on top of the pizza in a big pile, I think it would have been better if it had been wilted slightly but overall the pizza was still tasty. My husband got the kentucky pizza which he was very happy with. I had the chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce and vanilla icecream for dessert. This was yummy and a really big portion. My husband had the icecream - strawberry cheesecake, choc chip and choc and peanut. These icecreams were yummy (I had a taste!) and again it was a very generous portion. Service was very good. The bill (with a beer and an espresso and a glass of wine) was €60. I think that this is too much for the type of food on offer so was glad we had the voucher. I think they should look at their prices.

I used my menupoints here this weekend and was very impressed by the quality of the pizza. Really top notch in terms of tase and presentation. The restaurant itself is nice and simple and its great to watch your pizza being made and baked in oven. My only concern (though it's a big one) is that it's quite pricey for what you get. At €15 a pop for a 10" pizza, it's not cheap, factor in a couple of beers, one side of garlic bread (also delicious) and one dessert to share the bill came to €48 not inc. tip. Quite a bit really and if i hadn't had the €30 voucher (thanks menupages!!) I might well have felt hard done by.

I went there on Monday night and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the price range. I had a french onion soup which was delicious although the portion was a bit small. My boyfriend had lasagne and he said it was very tasty although the lasagne was served with a salad dish side which in his opinion had too much cheese but I guess it depends on whether you like cheese or not.Overall, the place was very good and we will be back there again.

Went a while back to spend my menupoints, had a lovely evening, food was delicious. .My boyfriend ordered a large pizza, and they made a mistake of bringing a medium one, but it was okay becasue the medium was plenty, but then they gave us a pizza free of charge to bring home, which was very nice of them....will definatley be back!

I have been here a number of times and have always been impressed with both their food and friendly staff. Their set pizza menu is unique, with some unusual toppings on some pizza's but they are delicious. It is located on a fairly quiet street but it always seems quite busy.

I have been eating here for years. The pizza is exceptional, I've tried to copy their recipe on numerous occasions but it never tastes the same. it's the beat pizza in Dublin. I love the pepperoni. Pasta dishes could do with a bit of work. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Have eaten here many times over the last few years and it has always been good value. Nice enough food, not the best pasta dishes tho, have tried a couple and they can be a bit on the bland side.. On the plus side the garlic mushrooms and ceasar salad are fantastic! Atmosphere is usually good, as is the service! Be prepared to book though or you may be turned away!!

I like this place although I rarely go as it is not that near to me. I've always found the food good and not over priced. Atmosphere can be good at times but can be a little too family-filled so if your looking for a place where children are not a feature avoid it. Overall, a good restaurant

Was disappointed...ate here on saturday night with my bf, using our Menupages voucher. Usually I love this place but it was lacking something. The caeser salad which I usually love had some brown ilted leaves in it....put off. The wings that my bf had were very very spicy. Pizza was ok and he loved his prawns but there were not very many of them on the plate. I put it down to just a bad night as this place is usually faultless.

This is a local favourite & I have been countless times over the last 20 years as a child & adult. I have never had a bad meal which is a very rare thing to say! Even during the madness of the Celtic tiger, the prices, quality of food & staff remained constant. The staff are excellent & many have been there for years – always friendly & knowledgeable. Their garlic bread is infamous & I have it every time. The lunch special is particularly good value - €8.75 for a small pizza with 2 toppings & either coleslaw, side salad or half garlic bread. I used my €30 Menupages voucher on Saturday & thoroughly enjoyed my free lunch – thanks Menupages and Bits & Pizzas!

Great food, and good sized portions, plus there was a steady crowd there all evening, which is good to see. Staff were very friendly and efficient. It may be slightly pricier than other pizza places, but you really do get what you pay for.

Nice place, good pizzas but definitly overpriced - they could do with dropping a few euros off their pizzas. I know they need to make profits, cover costs etc but pizzas and pastas are some of the cheapest dishes to make, so there is no excuse. If they were a bit cheaper Id go back.

Went here with my boyfriend on Saturday night. Luckily we had booked a table as there was a constant queue for the whole evening! I had the chicken wings to start and my boyfriend had the garlic mushrooms. Both were delicious and plentiful. I had to leave some of my wings to keep room for my mains! I had the Kentucky pizza for mains which was gorgeous. My boyfriend had the sicilian which wasn't so great. I know it said on the menu that it came with sour cream but it wasn't presented very nicely, just a big dollop right in the middle of the pizza! Desserts were lovely, I had Baileys & choc cheesecake and my boyfriend had the chocolate sundae. 3 courses and a 7up each came to just less than €60 which we found to be very overpriced. I would recommend this place but be prepared to pay for higher than average for the food...

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, very relaxed and friendly. the food was made exactly to order and was piping hot. They do have some unusual pizza toppings such as pine nuts and walnuts. their desserts are all home made and i had the chocolate sundae whch was so big i couldn't finish it! Well worth a try. The service was excellent, some of the best i've seen. The waiter even enquired about the menupoints website! It was very good value for money for such a pleasant evening. Would definitely recommend it and will hopefully be going again soon.

Myself and my husband, our two kids and our baby had a quick bite here on Sunday. We were immediately made feel welcome and a high chair was organised for the youngest in our party. Our buggy was whisked away by the helpful waiter. We shared a garlic bread with cheese and the I had the vegetarian pizza which was delicious and loaded with toppings. My husband had the calzoni and our two daughters had the kids menu - one pizza and one spag bol. Our baby assisted them and was especially taken with the spaghetti. Soft drinks were 2 euro each which was better than most but I do think the veggie pizza is a tad expensive at 15 euro. Saying that, the food was delicious and service excellent. The room is nice but not my favourite environment ever. Reliable for a quick bite.

It's always great to see a restaurant with stamina. I have been coming here off (more so) and on since it opened. My kids choose here to have a nosebag. I don't often eat pizza as it adds to my Michelin man look. I do eat the odd pizza in the States when on my motorbike. After thundering across the plains of Montana or the twisties in the Rockies/Black Hills it suits the bike and a beer. I like familiar places so glad to see there are no major changes. It is a cosy clean place and you have full view of the kitchens. Now for the grub....the waitress was a grump. No smile, no greeting and couldn't have been more off putting. What the heck.....ignore her. My Pizza was ok-good....not great which I would expect from a specialist place such as here. Base was not dry and crisp which I insist on....the toppings fair but not generous and olives poorly spaced out. The offspring liked theirs so this counts more as they do eat the things and they will be back.

Always enjoy my meals in Bits and Pizzas. Have been a lot of times with friends and my girlfriend. The food is always top notch. The only problem I've had is that the last time I was there, my girlfriend asked for only peppers on her pizza as she is a vegetarian and they ended up smothering the pizza in peppers to the point that she couldn't really enjoy it without having to remove mass amounts of peppers (also they were all the same colour peppers for some reason) Other than that, I've always enjoyed my food without problems. The service is one of the top draws of this restaurant and staff are always friendly, smiling and willing to give their opinions. I'd highly recommend here for any meal, lunch or dinner. The early bird menu is amazing value for a low cost great tasting meal. Highly recommend.

I read previous reviews about the pizzas being really great and good value but went here yesterday for lunch and it was very disappointing to say the least. The place was empty when we got there but that was fine. We ordered our pizzas anbd got chicken wings to start with dip. I wouldnt even rate them! Anyway I was looking forward to my pizza when it arrived and much to my frustration was so bland with a dribble of tomato sauce on it! For the first time in my life I had to sprinkle salt onto a pizza!! How hard is it to make a pizza taste good, its not rocket science? Not good, not good at all! Will never ever be going back and will be warning all my friends.

Haven't been to this restaurant in years - the last time I had been, our table had a very bad experience with an older waitress who actually shouted at a friend of ours for speaking "too loudly" when ordering - our friend in fact, aside from actually not speaking too loudly at all (it was something she was conscious of) had a hearing impairment and was very upset by the fuss that the waitress made which drew attention from other tables nearby. However, I did go back this weekend and found the pizzas to be still as good as ever - nothing fancy but it does exactly what it says on the menu. Would reccomend it to anyone for lunch or after the cinema.

Ate here last night with my voucher, and had a very pleasant evening, probably somewhere i would never have come across only for menu pages, the restaurant is nicely laid out, love the way you can see them cooking right in front of you. Had the special pizza which was delightful, everything was so fresh, my bf cleaned his plate within minutes, had the full three courses and couldn't fault a thing!

Restaurant has a nice laid back feel to it. Pizza's are great. Other items on the menu aren't fantastic but when the pizzas are so good why look for something else! They do a good lunch offer up until 6pm so you can often catch this straight from work and it works out great value. One of the best pizza's restaurants around! Their Coleslaw is recommended also!

Hadn't been to this restaurant in over year. We were pleasantly surprised by both the value for money and quality of the pizzas. Liked the fact that they have beer on tap, as well as wine. The recent upgrade of the premises also stood out. As parents of a young child, can honestly say that they are super child-friendly. Will be going back as a regular.

I visited bits and pizzas early on a saturday evening just before it started getting busy. The decor and layout were to my liking as often restaurants try to cram in more seats than a restaurant can actually take. Greeted by the friendly staff I perused the menu. Opting to skip the starter I ordered the calzone mexicano. The food arrived promptly and looked delicious... and it was delicious until the chillies really started to kick in and I needed to order a whole jug of water! Unfortunately this meant I could not finish my meal even though I was still hungry, therefore I feel that a spice rating should be added to the menu to warn people that this dish is quite overpowering to one's sensitive tastebuds! After this slight disappointment I was met with what one can only describe as a brief dessert menu consisting of only a handful of out-of-the-fridge dishes. Choosing the brownie, I was given what I would consider a chocolate sponge rather than a "brownie" although for what it was, it was rather tasty. I do believe I would revisit bits and pizzas opting for something milder on the tastebuds and even throwing in a starter. A pleasant place for a quiet meal.

These are great pizzas - toppings are generous and just that bit different from your average pizzeria. I love the fact that you can see (and smell) the oven too. Its probably not the kind of place you would hand around for hours, but great for a shorter meal and as service is fast you can be in a rush if you need to.

Ate here on a Thursday night using a voucher from menu pages. The restaurant was busy but service was good. The starters were just ok - we had chiken wings and mushrooms, nothing to write home about. Pizza's were great and good value, and we shared the chocoltae brownie for dessert which was also very good. I would def eat here again tho will probably just stick to the pizza as thats what they seem to do best.

I've been going to Bits and Pizzas for years now and it's always been of a very high standard. After my visit last night I was once again very impressed. The pizzas are incredible; certainly the best I've ever had, and sharing the epic Chocolate Sundae is a Bits and Pizzas tradition! Add that to really friendly and plesant staff and a lovely family atmosphere and it's easy to understand why Bits and Pizzas are celebrating their 21st year in business.

I went here on Saturday night with my girlfriend. She had a voucher from this website to use and I was impressed by the place. We were well greeted and offered our choice of seat. The food was very nice. I had the chicken wings, which came with a lovely cucumber dip, and a pizza as the main course. The pizza was very filling but lovely. She had the mushrooms to start and the mushrooms and chicken with pasta as her main, and enjoyed them both. In terms of value for money, it was very food. Three courses and drinks for both coming to less than €70. Would gladly go again

I like this place. im a big fan of italian food and this seemed to have all the flavours i was looking for. i got the mushrooms for starters and as promised, they were delicious wasn't overally impressed with the pizza that followed though. it was small and i was still hungry after and forced to resort to dessert just to fill myself. other than that, it was a lovely evening.....just don't go starving!

Wouldn’t rave about Bits and Pizzas but I do have many a fond memory here! The pizzas are good for what you get in Ireland, the service is friendly and I have to agree with the comment about being greeted by warmth and delicious smells every time you walk in! One complaint is, if you’re getting a take away there anyway, toppings can be quite unreasonable - I remember we paid something like an extra 2.50 for olives and got about 5 at most.

This is one of my favourite restaurants to go to for a quick bite to eat. It is quite casual but the quality of the food is great. The mushrooms are a must for anyone who has never tried them, they are one of my favouite starters full stop! I dont agree with previuos comments about the pizzas being doughy and small, they are deliciuos and always filling. The staff are very friendly and the food is reasonably priced. This is the perfect place to go if your looking for somewhere casual to eat. I have been going here for years and have yet to have a bad meal. I would highly recommend this place!

The only word I can use to describe this place is mediocre. The food is bland, and not particularly good value with a meal for 2 of shared starter and pizza costing €36 with just soft drinks. The service is quite attentive, but that’s about the only good point. The topping was stingy and cost €3.75 each on a 12” pizza. There was a queue at the door as we were leaving which can only make me wonder about the standard of the other restaurants in Don Laoghaire.

The pizzas are tiny and doughy, tasteless and expensive. The Caesar salad is horribe: way too much dressing and lifeless lettuce. When I go I end up resenting paying for the food there. And it's not even cheap anymore. I vowed never to go there again after I went with for friends for a midweek meal and it cost us over €90 for disappointing main meals and a few drinks.

My girlfriend and I went here on Saturday evening for a quiet meal. We had initially tried to make reservations in town but we were told they were booked up. The unavailability of a table in town was to work out very well as we had a lovely meal and a great evening. It's nice to go on excursions away from the usual and a nice drive up the coast and the laid back atmosphere of Bits and Pizzas was just what the doctor ordered. We had garlic bread and baked mushrooms to start and although the garlic bread wasn't fantastic, the mushrooms were delish. The choice of a main course was a difficult one as the pizzas looked very nice but just werent what we were in the mood for. I opted for the tagliatelle and my girlfriend had the lasagne. The portions were something to write home about and the tagliatelle was the right balance of sauce, mushrooms and chicken, with an abundance of pasta. My girlfriend ordered the ice cream sundae for dessert which was an immense affair of chocolate and ice cream, far more than she had bargained for. A lovely meal, a great night and our waitress was very friendly, personifying the pleasant atmosphere of the place.

I had the baked garlic mushrooms and they were amazing, my boyfriend had the tiger prawns and said they were very nice. The starter portions felt good size. There is a large selection of pizzas to choose from and alot of ingredients to have on top,yum yum. I have eaten here a few times and will come back, and would also recommend it to others.

I don't want to be totally negative, as after all we did get a 30 euro voucher and I do condone Bits and Pizzas for taking part. First the positives. A cosy restaurant with nice staff and good icecream. However, much as we were hoping for a perfect night some things had to be improved. We had booked a table and yet were kept waiting for 25 minutes. Half way through our starters we were told our main course was ready and could they bring it to the table...mmmm, do we have any choice? The pizzas, costing 15.70 were tiny (and mine had no tomato sauce...it was not meant to, the waitress told me...if you ask me it was meant to, very dry) Boyf enjoyed his chicken pasta though. To top it off we were charged 5.25 for one espresso, they charged for a wine by accident. Not all bad, but we won't be returning in a hurry.

The baked garlic mushrooms make a delicious starter and the tiger prawns are also very tasty. I feel the starter portions could be a little bigger though. The selection of pizzas to choose from is imaginative and encaptures a wide selection of tastes and ingredients. I have eaten here 3 times and will come back, and would also recommend it to others.

We had lunch here today & really enjoyed it. The staff were incredibly friendly and our paninis tasted great - I had the Parma Ham with mushroom, mozzarella & sundried tomatoes and Himself had the Chicken & Mozzarella. The coleslaw & salad which accompanied the paninis were excellent and all in all, a great lunch

I have been coming here for years, since I was a kid! Lunch specials are very reasonable, €9 for a small pizza and coleslaw, fast and yummy food. This is without doubt my favourite pizza, however, it has gotten more and more expensive over the years, it used to a cheap pizzeria which served really good food. My husband and I went for pizza the other evening and both had a 9 inch pizza, we shared garlic bread and coleslaw, and a couple of soft drinks. The bill was almost €60 which I honestly find excessive. The time I was there previously, it was a Tuesday night and we were the only ones left in the restaurant at 10pm, the staff made it very very clear that we were keeping them late and proceeded to put all of the chairs on the tables around us and mop the floor! The pizza is still the best around though and should always be accompanied by their delicious coleslaw!

Went here for lunch earlier today. Nice service and atmosphere. Food very ordinary. But i guess they are aiming for a quick and simple italian menu with nice pizzas served in a friendly and efficient manner - and i reckon they succeed in this.

Given the quality of the various new restaurants in Dun Laoghaire, I think Bits&Pizzas needs to raise its game. It seems pretty popular with young families but as other reviewers have said the pizzas are pricey enough for the size. The calzone was very good but my marinara had a bit too much cheese. Chicken wings seemed suspiciously warm as if a microwave had been involved. I'd agree with other reviewers that it would be a bit offputting to have the chefs staring out at you so look for a table down the back. Having said that the waitresses were all charming, in particular the girl on the till.

I've recently discovered this place is quite handy for lunch but service can be a little slow so you don't want to be on a strict hour long lunch. Always buzzing and good food though. Worth a try.

Its been a while since I was here and went before Christmas with the family. I felt it was pricy for what it is, we would have saved a lot of money going with a takeaway elsewhere---even their takeaway prices are above the normal in an area well serviced by pizza takeaways

I was in Bits and Pizzas just before Christmas. Read the reviews here and though it would be a good choice before going to the cinema in Dun Laoghaire. Although the overall experience was ok, It didn't really live up to my expectations following all the positive reviews here. It’s more of a café style, than a restaurant per se. I had the chicken and mushroom tagliatelle, which was very nice, and not too sickly as some cream based dishes can be. I was going to order the pizza, but judging by what was presented to the diners around me, was glad I didn’t. They looked very small, and at nearly €16, could be regarded as pretty extortionate for a pizza! Also, I would avoid if you want a quiet early evening meal, as was full of families with very loud screaming children, whose voices reverberated throughout the restaurant.

Poor showing all in all, especially considering the other reviews posted here. Pizza was 9" which is very small considering the price (over 13 euros). Somewhere in the creation of the pizza something was added that left my mouth feeling incredibly dry and tacky, not sure what it was but it took multiple glasses of water to combat the horrible sensation. The chef's, when there was nothing else to do, stood around or glared vacantly at the diners, perhaps to see how well their dry-powder was working out? Maybe the locals have nothing better to choose from and so are willing to fork out way over the odds for substandard pizza, a shame really when there's other restaurants in town on Parliment street that offer a pizza literally twice the size, a starter and a glass of wine, ALL for two euros less than it cost me to purchase an oddly dusty 9" pizza made by an overly curious chef and served on a block of wood! My advice is to stay away.

Went here for lunch yesterday (my second trip). We pre-ordered so lunch was almost ready by the time we got ourselves settled. The lunch menu is very reasonable. I had the lasagne with greek salad and a side order of coleslaw which was delicious. We also had a pollo pizza and ham & mushroom lunch special pizzas. No one was disappointed. I can't comment on the total cost as I was treated but the prices are very reasonable. It does get very busy at lunchtime but well worth booking ahead and pre-ordering.

The atmosphere was lovely as you walk in - a nice warm glow and delicious smells! Food was excellent - Tiger prawn starter and pizza. However the service was very disappointing - we waited a long time to order and had to get up to leave before we could catch anyone’s attention to get desserts or the bill! I would go back for the food - but the service badly needs an overhaul!

Great for lunch - lunch special menu is great value. I would advise booking a table if you are on your lunchbreak as by the time you queue and order your food you will be a bit pushed for time. I used to book and pre-order so you get your food straight away and can enjoy it! Pizzas / lasagnes etc. are great, service is good, nothing bad to say!

Having read the reviews and the ratings I wondered if I was in the same restaurant. Firstly the place is shabby and run down. What restaurant in the Dublin area still has carpet (most unhygienic) on the floor? The place is open at least 20 years and is in need of gutting. On a Sunday recently we got bad food and bad mannered staff. If I was starving I wouldn’t go near it again. It was good value 10 years ago - now you can see nobody cares. We only went there because somewhere else was booked out.

I was slightly disappointed with this Restaurant. The choice of starters is limited, as is the menu in general, and the lack of choice is unfortunately not compensated by the quality of food, which is quite plain and bland. The pizzas are very mediocre. However, the service is good and the setting and atmosphere are quite enjoyable.

I love the food here. I had the tiger prawns for starters which were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection - quite a reasonable size portion too. The pizza menu isn’t extensive but the option of choosing your own toppings is great! Will definitely be back when I’m in the area!

I always enjoy the pizzas here. They are cooked to perfection and you can have your own selection of toppings if you want. Pizza bases are delicious and the tomato sauce they use on their pizzas is absolutely delicious - really full of flavour and you can taste the basil. For starters, the prawns with a kind of lime mayonnaise are good, if a little expensive. The banoffi for dessert is lovely too. I like the way they have different specials - even for desserts. The last time I was here the waitress could have had a bit more enthusiasm and smiled a bit more but the other waitress was friendly and the place has a good atmosphere overall. As soon as you come in the door (especially in winter), the warmth of the place (and the delicious smell) greets you! I took a friend here a while back and she said she was really impressed with the food and the special lunch deal. A great place to try for absolutely delicious pizza!

You can’t beat a bits and pizzas pizza. The ingredients are fresh and the base is just right. The toppings are so plenty full, which is a rarity in Dublin. The chocolate brownies are homemade and melt in the mouth. I love this place because you can come casual and no one bats an eyelid. Its cosy atmosphere makes it a great place for a bite to eat before drinks.

Great family restaurant, also great for a low key meal with friends...they do great food at reasonable prices...only problem is sometimes it can be a bit cramped, but its always fun! They do take away food as well... Yum!

Nice restaurant, it seems to be generally packed with families so avoid in the early evening if boisterous kids are not your thing. Good value overall, and the pizzas are lovely - as are their desserts. The only problem I had was that we were waiting to be seated for ages (we were ignored for about twenty minutes despite being passed countless times by waitresses), but it was really busy at the time, and once seated the service was fine.

I have been here a few times and only ever ordered the margherita- which they do very well. The restaurant can get very busy so I wouldn't advise going in too hungry, but the staff are friendly and the food is good. The best thing about this place is that the atmosphere is just right for a pizzeria, cosy and inviting. Overall a nice place to go with family or friends.

Always busy, which is a good sign! The menu is small, simple and hasn't really changed in the years that I've been heading here. The pizzas are a bit on the oily side. But they still taste good. A friend of mine had a pasta dish and said it was pretty good. This place is great if you want a casual dinner before heading to the movies or after a day out in the harbour. The staff are really friendly, the service is fairly swift and the pizzas are freshly made in an oven/kitchen, which is in plain view of nearly everyone in the cosy dining space. The fire oven is quite a fascination to the many of the children that dine there, they also provide colouring books and crayons so they won't get bored during dinner. So that keeps everyone happy!

Staff are very friendly here and the pizzas are yummy. The only problem with the place is that if you sit anywhere near the brick oven you walk out smelling like a pizza! Not a good look for a night on the town!

My family has been going to Bits and Pizzas since I was small, but I haven't been in a few years. We went for a quick dinner before the cinema and were very pleased. It was cosy and family orientated without us all being too crowded. We ordered a Caesar salad, garlic bread and a pizza to share. I think the Caesar salad here is the best I've tasted. The service was quick and friendly and the bill wasn't too dear. You can't ask for more than that for a mid-week meal!

This place is very small and has a very small menu; its always full so I guess this is a good sign! The pizza is amazing but it could do with a bit more variety, it’s lacking the "bits" of the bits and pizza.

Myself and all the generations of my family have been going to Bits and Pizzas for years (in fact my sister worked there for some time, years ago!). Its a great place for all - the food is delicious (although I do find that their ham is pretty awful - very fatty and processed) but apart from that its all seriously yummy! The kids and adults alike love it. They welcome everyone and service is generally very good. Excellent value for money. Toilets could do with a bit of a shape up though... We will remain regulars here!

It was at least two or three yeats since our last visit. At the time, there had been a great review in a saturday newspaper and for a time it has been difficult to even get a booking. It was a little on the quiet side last Sunday when we arrived. We shared the mushroom starter, and then had a pizza and the chicken and mushroom pasta. Both were fantastic. Although we didnt drink, they had a wine of the month, a Salice Salentino for 16 euro. The very same retails for 10.99 in most shops. Our lunch, (including a banoffi pie and irish coffee) came to 48 euro. The service was excellent. I cant wait to go back again.

Children and teenagers love this place so it's great for a family meal. Wonderful Pizza, the pasta dishes are excellent, and the atmosphere is young and lively. Great desserts too if you're not too full, especially the ice cream. It's almost always busy here and you may have to wait for a table, but if you're after cheap, cheerful and delicious it's perfect.

Bits and Pizzas serves great pizzas, I haven't eaten anything else off the menu so can't comment. The pizzas are very very good though. As far as cost goes it is probably a little on the expensive side for a pizza place. I will eat there again, and I would recommend it to friends!

Booked online thru MenuPages.ie - too easy. A good cheap and cheery meal out with friends - good service, good atmosphere, yummy food at a reasonable price. The wine list is small, but it's a pizza place so no one took offence- might be better off offering BYO. The desserts looked good and tasted great. We'll be back for sure.

Regular Favourite! Myself and my husband eat here very regularly; Pizza's are the best to be found anywhere! Love the Kentucky and Pordenone. Restaurant is a little cramped and could do with a bit of a makeover but it’s still a cosy and friendly spot. Heineken on tap is also very good.

I have to say I decided to go to this place due to the comments on the site it was a bit out for us to travel but its nice to get the dart out to Dun Laoghaire anyway. I have to say I enjoyed the food the wine was lovely and very reasonable at 16.95 a bottle I really liked the garlic mushrooms. My pizza was nice not great though, got the Thai pizza I wouldn't rush back to the place but it was a nice and relaxing restaurant and very laid back good for families especially...

This has to be our favourite restaurant, the staff are so friendly, consistency being the key word, the food is delicious every time and B&P's is top of our list when we eat out. Starters garlic mushrooms yummie, chicken wings so so nice, we always like to share one for her five for me. Pizzas made to order, always just the way you like them, check out the Calzoni excellent oh and how could I forget the marinated chicken salad its the best salad ever even if your not a salad eater you will be converted I am. I've got to leave some room for dessert the BROWNIES are gorgeous as are the cheesecakes and ice cream. There's not a week goes by that we don't drop in for an evening meal or an excellent value lunch special we cant resist.

Bits and Pizzas is a favourite of ours. Definitely the best pizza in Dublin (love the Florentine). It's not a pretentious place, but it's homely and you're put at ease the minute you walk in the door. The Caesar salad in particular is fabulous. And the peanut and chocolate ice cream is really good! The staff are always great, very helpful and friendly!

Ah Bits and Pizzas, sure a staple location that I've grown up with and had many cheap and cheerful moments over the years. This place is a casual pizza trattoria -type establishment with a brick-fire over turning our tasty and consistently good food. They also do fine heart-clogging desserts and the place is always full of families out for a treat. They're garlic mushrooms are tasty, their desserts are recommended but obviously the pizzas are the main draw. You're looking at approx. €30 a head for a proper meal with wine in here.

Have been in here on several occasions, and always enjoy it. Very relaxed atmosphere, good, helpful staff, and of course, nice food. Value for money is good, keep in mind it can get really busy. At certain times, waiting for a table isn't unusual - not the norm in a pizza place, and a good indicator.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had chicken wings for starter and they were yummy, my boyfriend had the mushrooms also lovely. For main I had Hawaiian pizza it really was gorgeous, I've read other reviews where people have said the pizzas are yummy, they weren't lying! I got a small side salad to go with and the dressing was amazing. My boyfriend had the prawns and all over the salad with them were pine nuts, he's allergic to nuts!! We explained to the waiter and he said it was no problem and about 10 minutes later they produced a fresh dinner for him. It was great there was no hassle about it like in some places. We both had dessert, I had a really tasty strawberry cheesecake and he had a baileys coffee. We washed the whole thing down with a nice bottle of red wine and the bill came to €80 including our tip. It was very reasonably priced yummy food.

Still as good as the first time we ate here 15 years ago. Kiddie friendly and good value. The chilli beef calzone hits the spot everytime while there's no problem making up a pizza for the kids to share.
