the whole place was very cold and we had to all wear our coats the whole time. Eddies is always quiet expensive for what it offers. we had the cheese chip - which were not very nice at all. the hot dog was nice, but the bum was a bit stale. I had the BLT which was average. Milk shakes were, as always, work going for

Went here for lunch and was majorly disappointed. has the bitsy nachos to start which came out and were just nachos swimming in cheese and the tiniest blob of guacamole and salsa. not nice at all. had chicken tenders with sides of garlic mayo and cajun sauce as well as a portion of regular fries. the tenders were fine but the cajun sauce was like brown water! i had to ask for it to be changed which they did but the second attempt wasn't much better. the chips were inedible as they were severely over-salted which was another disappointment. maybe the chef was having an off day but the place was nearly empty so really there is no excuse.

Ate here for lunch with work colleagues on a Friday. It was a lot quieter than it used to be and very cold inside. The burger was nice but didn't taste as good as they used to and the chips were ok, but I'm not sure if my tastebuds were just off that day. My colleague's hot dog was so smothered in cheese, including the outside of the roll, that it was inedible and they didn't finish it. I do like Eddie Rockets normally, but they could do with a bit of heat in there!

A smaller Eddie Rockets right in the centre of Donnybrook.Had a 2 for 1 burger voucher so me meal worked out very good value. The veggie burger is surprisingly tasty and there's plenty of it.A little messy to eat but good value overall.Service was fine and reasonably quick.Toilets were clean. One of the better fast food places. Will eat here again when in a hurry and have a voucher.

Hungover yesterday & fancied an Eddies! A portion of cheese fries, chicken tenders & chocolate malt later, I felt almost human again! Well worth paying the extra for this fabulous fast food

Great hangover food (greasy, tasty, hits the spot). Had large coke, no ice, but it was seriously watered down and horrible taste. Very expensice for what you get. As they say "Eddie Rockets, empty your pockets".

Went here with my mammy and had the chicken filllet. My mam had the classic beef burger. we had a portion of fries between us. It was dead when we were eating. i loved the food but my mam hated it. the service was quite good. eddie rockets is never good value for money but good for a treat.

Assuming I was going to a fast-food bar, I was pleasantly surprised by Eddie Rockets' restaurant-like way of serving meals, especially the fact that the dish was actually prepared to order. The 50s/60s ambience with actual working jukeboxes (tested! ;) ) gives the place a nice retro touch and the quality of food definitely distinguishes it from other fast-food chains. Of course it is not a place to go if you're looking for fine cuisine but I'd recommend it to anybody who likes a good burger and a laid-back atmosphere.

this place is old and dated. The food isn't great and there isn't much of an atmosphere. I wouldn't go back

Love this restaurant - food is gorgeous and atmosphere is fun and lively. Its WAY OVER PRICED though - €10 for a burger and that doesn’t even include the chips, this is too dear for a fast food type restaurant.

Eddie Rockets is a great place for hangover food! Greasy and just what is needed...however they've raised the prices yet again! I think each time I go another euro gets added to the price of a burger. And although the chips are good- 4.65 for garlic fries is way more than excessive!!!

It's really just a high class fast food outlet, but it fills the void perfectly if that's all you need. If you want gourmet burgers, you'll go to a restaurant proper, where they come with a choice of 10 different garnishes and 5 different meats, but if you just want a good quality, normal burger, Ed's does the job just fine. The drinks are all very big- but at big prices. Their new Oreo Cookie malts are just delicious- you won't regret trying one!

Well, you are not going to expect much, and you are not going to be surprised. The burger was overdone and while it was a very big burger, it was still unexciting. The staff were poor - not one I dealt with spoke good enough English to understand specific changes requested with our order (one burger no lettuce, and one coke with no ice - we get, burger with lettuce, coke with ice!). The one saving grace was the cheese sauce on the bacon cheese fries. Very synthetic - think melted easy singles - but tastes sooo good! Definitely not one to go to on a date, but it will do for a lunchtime bite.

All ingredients are there for Eddie Rocket's to be a really nice diner. Nice 50's interior, funny uniforms, large menu, couple of jokes on the wall. Unfortunately they got greedy. Burgers taste very good but they are a little on the small side. Small portion of normal fries cost a whopping 3.45 with no menu option available. I am always an advocate for the underdog but when you compare a menu at the big chains (Burger, fries, soft drink) for around 6.50 with ER's 12.95 you really have to look hard to see the added value.

Cheap and cheerful. Bright and brash. What you see is what you get. Formica abounds. The atomic burger has a kick and the ice cream floats are fun. Very much a 'spur of the moment' choice of venue - go when the mood is upon you. The booth style seating isn't cozy or intimate and there are no hiding places!

Does what its says on the tin, better value and more satisfying than a burger chain
