We have eaten in this pub a few times, over the years, the food has always been good value for money. A group of us had a meal their Friday night and "OH MY GOD" it had to be one of the best meals in a pub we had ever expeirienced , the food was delicious ,magical , served with same presentation and quality of that of a 5 star restaurant without the prices. These guys know what they are doing ,Kitchen boys are the new chefs and boy can they cook with attitude. Give it a try , they do these stands about a foot high which act like skewers ,or their almighty burger ,you won t be hungry after this !!! Worth every penny, cant wait to go back.

I went with a friend to the Old Punch Bowl for a sandwich at lunchtime. I really like the atmosphere in this pub. However, we ordered a sandwich each - one with fries and one without. The sandwiches arrived as if they were thrown together - slice of ham, slice of cheese, bread cut in two and on a plate - no effort to present them in an enticing manner - its a long time since I got a sandwich without a little salad or crisps on the side. The sandwiches tasted just as they looked - dull and uninteresting. I wont be going back

I live locally and eat here on a regular basis, the staff are always warm and welcoming and the food is consistantly good. I usually have the lasange or the steak and chips and they are good value for money and the portions are very generous so you won't be leaving hungry. If you haven't tried this place already you should give it a go, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Came here for lunch after a romantic morning on the beach and a DART ride back the Booterstown. Never again. It was not the worst place I've been to, but somehow even though we were virtually the only people there the staff contrived to make us feel that they were just too busy for us, and that our presence was a nuisance. The food was really below par and the place felt grubby and chilly. If it gets really revamped then it could be a nice place, but at the moment it needs to stick to the drink and lay off the food. It is a good place for a G&T on the way home from work though.

Typical pub grub but can be a bit hit and miss. Have had pretty good food on occasions and pretty poor other times. Pizza seems the most consistant option. Not a place I'd go to just for food but generally a half decent bite to eat when having a few drinks watching the rugby.

Disgrace. Went there for Mother's Day and definitely won't be going back there again. Ordered starters, had to wait 30mins, then soup came and it was could...sent it back which took another 30mins. The vegetables were out of a tin, and those that weren't could have been used as an assault weapon! The carvery was such a disgrace! Definitely won't be recommending this place to anyone!!!
