We have eaten in this pub a few times, over the years, the food has always been good value for money. A group of us had a meal their Friday night and "OH MY GOD" it had to be one of the best meals in a pub we had ever expeirienced , the food was delicious ,magical , served with same presentation and quality of that of a 5 star restaurant without the prices. These guys know what they are doing ,Kitchen boys are the new chefs and boy can they cook with attitude. Give it a try , they do these stands about a foot high which act like skewers ,or their almighty burger ,you won t be hungry after this !!! Worth every penny, cant wait to go back.

I went with a friend to the Old Punch Bowl for a sandwich at lunchtime. I really like the atmosphere in this pub. However, we ordered a sandwich each - one with fries and one without. The sandwiches arrived as if they were thrown together - slice of ham, slice of cheese, bread cut in two and on a plate - no effort to present them in an enticing manner - its a long time since I got a sandwich without a little salad or crisps on the side. The sandwiches tasted just as they looked - dull and uninteresting. I wont be going back
