Got a GORGEOUS steak sandwich and fries from Gasworks, the chicken goujons are great too, the staff are so nice and would do anything for you if you ask, great service, not too pricey, and the food isdelicious, will come back here for sure and will recommend everyone to come here , they do gorgeous cocktails too, great atmosphere no matter what day/night of the week it is!! I love this place, its SO under-rated.

Very good value pre-theatre menu here but it only goes til 6.30. Simple food but well cooked and portions are generous. Very decent burger. They have those cool tables with beertaps in them too.

The carvery lunches are overpriced and not particularly good. Vegtables are generally undercooked and the choice of salads is poor. But what really lets this place down is the standard of service. Some of the junior waiters and waitresses are friendly, but the more senior and long-standing staff don't really seem to have the concept of "service with a smile". Further, the pub's loyalty card programme in fact inspires the opposite of loyalty - making it very difficult to claim under it, despite posters to the contrary. All-in-all there are lots better places to eat round here at lunchtime - or stretch your legs and walk over to Grand Canal Square, where there is much more choice, service and value for money.
