The restaurant was practically empty on Saturday night when we eat there. The service was excellent except that we had to wait longer for our dessert than our main course. The food was devine, I had a Duck salad for mains, I would highly recommend it. I had Dark chocolate Fondue for dessert...to die for. I will certainly be visiting it again in the not so distant future.

The restaurant is really nice. Modern relaxing decor. It was early Friday evening and very quiet. I think there were only two other tables occupied. We had the value menu starting with the Mangetu selection. This was very good and was acompanied by three sauces, peanut, chili and sweet & sour. Mains were green curry and masaman curry. Again very good. We had a white wine (French) which was crisp ang light. Overall a really good meal, service was excellent. I really don't understand why it was so quiet.

We were first in the door friday evening and were impressed with their early bird and value menu although I have my go to favourites so I opted for the normal menu. The vegetable tempura to start is delicious although I do wish they incorporated onion in the dish. I had the duck pancakes as my main dish and my partner had the red curry which I tried also and they did not disappoint. We had empty plates at the end of it! The staff were lovely and the service is consistent which is a big plus. Overall great experience, could not fault anything really.

Went for dinner here on a Monday night. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the food is beautiful. We will definitely go again but not on a Monday night as it was too quiet! Wouldn't stop me returning though

Went for an ealry bird last Friday - got there and ordered before 7, the place was very queit, and it didnt pick up at all, even when we were leaving about 9. For starters we shared the chicken satay, very tasty, for mains I had Prawn Pad Thai, and my friend had the beef green curry, both delicious, and then we shared a lemon sorbet between us with coffee's. We also had a glass of wine each. Bill came to 27 each inclsuing tip - not bad for location,a nd quality of food we got. Only downfall was the slow service, expecially considering the place was virtually empty.

I ate in the restaurant this evening and had the Early Bird Menu which was very good value for money. The only negative about my experience was being charged the full price for Cashew Rice in addition to the meal price. My wife didn't have rice with her meal. I had Cashew rice and they charged me €3.50 for the portion. It was explained afterwards that only 2 types were included on the menu. A point not made clear on the menu or by the waiter. I thought it was mean to charge when the difference in price was 0.50 cents. They saved on my wife meal and then tried to effectively charge double on mine. It soured a pleasant dining experience and would prevent my making a return visit.

I Just ate here for lunch, booking is usually necessary as it fills up quite easily. I had the ginger and vegetable stir fry for my main. It was really tasty, a lot off nice flavours. For desert I had the lemongrass creme brulee, which could have been a bit sweeter, but was nice all the same. The mains were 12euro the deserts 5euro so it's reasonably priced, but a bit filling for lunchtime. I would come again.

I had intended to go to elsewhere but it was fully booked so decided to try mange tu as it had been open a while and I'd never been. It's certainly very "designer" looking and could credibly be a cool HK restaurant. The service was pretty patchy and the waiter didn't understand us a lot of the time. We had to send one cocktail back as it wasn't blended properly and could make it through the straw. We ordered the duck pancakes to share and they were really tasty. Then Singapore noodles (nothing special - small portion) and prawns with basil and chile (nothing amazing). The wine list was really not great and over priced in my opinion. I don't think I'd go back -there are too many other good Asian restaurants in the area - it wasn't cheap either... 120€ for two and no desert with just one starter.

The decor is very modern - not in the usual Asian mode - but I found the overall atmosphere very pleasant. The restaurant was quiet the night we visited but even when full there would be plenty of space between the tables. Service was generally good but we were not offered tea/coffee afterwards despite the fact that these should be included (according to the early bird menu shown on the website). I didn't notice whether they were shown on the menu given to us on the night. They have a value menu as well as an early bird (for the same item portions were a little larger on the value menu). The food was delicious and all of us were very happy with our choices which included both European and Thai dishes. Overall it was a very good experience.

Ate here with my boyfriend a few weeks ago. We ordered off the early bird menu, which is great value for money. The food was delicious! I got the green curry and it was one of the best i've had. Good size portions too. It was a Sunday evening so the place was quite empty but didn't mind too much. The decor is lovely and the staff were really friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back again soon!

Hard to notice from the outside that it is a restaurant because of its dark surroundings and you can't see inside to diners but very nice decor and overall well worth dining experience! Day before Christmas Eve so not much atmosphere as far as other diners but didn't mind a bit. I also noticed several take away orders coming out of the kitchen while we ate which is a good sign that others enjoy this place also! Very enjoyable and will be back again!

I booked here for a work christmas lunch as it had been recommended to me and it was 1 of the only places that wasn't making us order off a set menu or pay a deposit! Well I have to say I was delighted with it as were all my colleagues. It was gorgeous, the decor was lovely and the atmosphere was good. The food was fabulous from starter to dessert even the ice cream! I couldn't fault a thing, everyone raved about it afterwards. They were good portion sizes also. We weren't rushed and I would definitely recommend it. I will be back.

I ate here with a group of 10 from work. The seating is very comfortable, the lighting effects very easy on the eye. Service was great, very prompt & friendly. The food was really great; I opted for the seafood for both starter and mains and it was really tasty. The restaurant was largely empty, just our crowd and another table with a simiilar size crowd, but in fairness this was a Tuesday so maybe it's a quiet day for them? There were little booth-like seats available for couples which looked very comfortable. All in all, a very enjoyable visit, I'll go again.

I met a friend for lunch here. I had been here a few times before, but my friend was a first timer. We shared the crab samosa starter, which was very tasty. My friend ordered chicken stir fry in ginger sauce, and she said it was nice but a bit too much ginger (and she really likes ginger)! Her portion was very good. I ordered prawn pad thai, which was delicous. I would have prefered more prawns to be honest, but I still went away satisfied. The lunch prices are reasonable, but I wouldn't say it's outstanding value (with mains being €12). I wasn't overly impressed by the service - a couple times we really struggled to get the attention of the waitress. All in all, we enjoyed the meal and I'd recommend it.

This was a spontaneous follow-up to my visit in August and it didn't disappoint. I'd forgotten what I'd eaten then and went for the chicken satay again whilst my partner went for the spring rolls. For the main course I had the stir fried beef and my partner had the stir fried chicken with basil and fried rice with cashew nuts. My choice was fine but having tasted the chicken, I wish I had gone for that instead! Service was efficient and as we arrived just after 6pm it was not at all crowded though tables filled whilst we ate.

Great Value,Great Service! Went on the recommendation of a work colleague and was very pleasantly surprised..lunch menu for €12 seemed a little over the odds until I realised it was actually a main course we were recieving. Staff were excellent, friendly, fast and polite. Food was very good, nice and spicy like it should be. Overall an excellent first visit. Will be going back there asap!

I was here last Wednesday at lunch time with 2 colleagues. We've come here quite a few times as we always find it good value, good food and a nice place to have a lunch. Each time we go, we are always surprised that the recession seems to be non existant here, as the restaurant is always busy. Maybe it's because they do a good value lunch of all main courses just €12, which is pretty decent for what you get. Each of us had a different main and all were lovely. Wines are reasonable value and I can recommend the La Legua Tempranillo, if you like red. We will definitely be back for lunch again.

Ate here on Saturday, very pleasantly suprised as was not expecting much. It seems to me that most restaurants advertising themselves as 'Asian fusion' view it as an excuse to tack on a premium to what should be reasonably priced food. Mangetu, while not inexpensive, delivers excellent food in very nice surroundings. Flavours were diverse and distinct, texture was pleasing, food was presented well, and service was friendly. Highly recommended!

Ate here on Saturday night with my girlfriend and we had a good night. Food was good and the service excellent. I like my food as spicey as the chief can make it and he did not disappoint, seriously hot. The only thing wrong is that the tables for two are too close together. I appreciate that they have limited space but if you go as a couple be prepared for another couple sitting very close. Whilst having a nice after dinner chat with my girlfriend I could see the woman next to us listening intently to our not so interesting conversation. I would say try this restaurant because the service is very good but go in a group not as a couple.

Nice Restaurant, good value. Went here on a Friday night and it was busy enough but not packed, however I dont think they had enough staff that night as they weren't attentive at all and took quite a while to take our orders. We opted for the two courses for €18 meal which is great value. For starters we had the dumplings and chicken satay - I would definately reccommend the dumplings, they were delicious! For main course we had the drunken noodles and chilli chicken and basil which were both amazing. They also do a great variety of cocktails - the wild berry daquiri was especially tastey! The decor of the restaurant is also very modern looking and creates a great atmosphere - especially if you're in a booth. I'd definately reccommend this restaurant for any occassion.

We visited this restaurant at lunchtime mid-week. The two of us ordered curries, one red chicken curry and one green curry. The curries arrived promptly as one would wish at a lunchtime service. The curries were delicious, looking and tasting good. There was also a generous portion of rice. The curry came to 12 euro each, which I felt was reasonable. The restaurant has a modern feel to it, bright and comfortable. Will be returning!

We had another wonderful meal in Mangetu a few days ago; this restaurant deserves to be hopping with customers every evening of the week.We shared dim sum which were plump and delicious. My seafood noodles were delightful and fresh, and my other half's curry was light, tasty and full of super-fresh veggies. The wine list is quite interesting and keenly priced, and the Nepalese staff are absolutely charming, not to mention efficient.

We dropped in to Mangetu yesterday evening not knowing what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. The decor is very modern, the seating comfortable, string curtain dividers around the booth-like areas give the illusion of being within a private space - overall, very nice to look at. The food matched the decor in its style and presentation, and tasted good to boot. Although not a big fan of prawn crackers, Mangetu's appeared to be the real McCoy and possibly made on site. A shared starter of Chicken in Padang Leaves got gobbled up, and the mains of Drunken Noodles and Singapore Noodles, with chicken, were delicious. The tastes of flavourings, spices, meat and veg were well defined. To top it off, the service was excellent, even to the point that the waitress checked if we wanted a break before our mains were prepared - a nice change from the being hustled out the door approach of other establishments.

After reading the good reviews on Mangetu I decided to give it a go last Saturday night. On arrival we were given the menus but the special offer (2 courses for €18) was not mentioned until we asked. The food was presented beautifully but nothing special for what you are paying. The place itself is really nice, plenty of room at the tables but there was absolutely no atmosphere as the place was so quiet.

Today was my first time to Mangetu, I decided to go at lunchtime for a change. The decor in the restaurant is very nice and it's very spacious. The staff took our order quickly after us being seated but we were waiting for 35 mins for our lunch and as we all know restaurants need to be much faster at lunch time to get people to come back and what I don't get is you have to book so it wasn't like they didn't know they would be busy. The food was very tasty but the fact that we had to gobble it down meant didn't get to appreciate it. Overall I would go back but with hope the service will speed up.

I would recommend this place to all whole love good Asian/Thai food. The curries are great, you can actually taste all different spices (not a gluey mix of coconut and ginger) and enjoy a proper meal. The atmosphere is nice a quiet and the staff is very friendly. Well recommended!

Went for lunch with a friend as we both work near by and thought the setting was fab, service was good and food was yummy. Service was pretty fast considering it was nearly full so didn;t have to take too long of a lunch break. Can't wait to try it in the evening.

Went here to get a take-away dinner, and was very excited about having a nice thai near me! Service and prices were good, but I was very disappointed when I got home and had the food. I had the rice spring rolls as a starter and the tuck tuck noodles as a main. The rice spring rolls were tastless, and even the sauce lacked any punch. I think they gave me Phad Thai rather than the expected tuck tuck noodles, and even this was bland compared to others I've tasted. Disappointing to say the least :-(

I have been here twice, both times with a large group of people and neither times did it fail. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and staff are very helpful. Had the sweet and sour chicken which was amazing, not in a batter that most places would have, with tones of fresh veg too. yum. would recommend. great value for money

Found this place a bit mixed. Having booked two days previous I was annoyed when on arrival my booking couldnt be found and then had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Once I was happily seated however i ws very impressed with the decor and setting. The food itself was quite nice, nothing special if you are fond of thai. Prices are average enough but would liked to have been taken care of a bit more considering the mix up at the start. Not sure I would return.

Had a lovely dinner in Mangetu last night. Having passed by so often, we decided to venture in last night. to our surprise the restaurant was not empty (as it often looks), but it was busy enough for 7pm, about 4 other tables, and they had lots of bookings for the night. They have a current offer where you get free starters with any main course ordered. This was mentioned to us as we were given the menus - it was nice not to have to ask about it. Its also on posters outside the restaurant. we had the calamari and vegetable tempura to start, both delicious and served with a gorgeous wasabi mayonnaise. For mains we had the veg red curry and lamb massaman curry. Both were delicious, the red curry was nice and spicy! Our bill came to 46 euro, for 2 mains, 2 rice, 2 cokes and 1 cappuccino (free starters) - so very good value for really good food. the staff were very friendly and efficient, the restaurant was warm, and the decor is very nice, bright and airy which gives a nice atmosphere. the menus themselves are a bit shoddy, they are paper and could do with lamination, but thats a minor thing! so all in all, i am very glad i finally ate in Mangetu, and would definitely recommend it.

I really love this restuarant and last night took a group here on my second visit to the place. The food is really tasty, and the service and atmosphere are great, but last night we all found that they were quite reserved with the meat portions. E.g. one of the party ordered grilled scallops (€18.50) as a main, and got a big helping of fried rice, but only 4 scallops. Similarly with the with the drunken noodles and seafood noodles, you really had to dig for the good stuff. Would still come back, as I did not find this on the first visit.

I've been here a few times and have been happy with each visit. The last time I was here was for lunch with my husband and as with any work lunch you need to get in and out in about 45 mins which we did so would rate the service very highly. The food is really good....but I keep ordering the same thing as I liked it so much the first time, its the red prawn curry, I think its amazing. Its €12 at lunchtime which I think is good value for the quality. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

they also do Take-Out!! I've just moved in the area and was delighted to hear you can pre-order your food and collect it to take away. The quality of the food was amazing and looked so much better than your average take away. The staff are very helpful and will not have you waiting for long. I would really recommend it.

My girlfriend and I went there last Friday night and really enjoyed our evening. The decor is contemporary but cosy and the service was pleasant. I'm not really a connoisseur of Thai food but I know I enjoyed that meal. I'll definitely be back again.

I've had lunch here plenty of times with the girls from the office and every time the service etc has been great. The restaurant itself is modern and stylish and the staff are friendly. The lunch is really good value and the creme brulee with pistachio ice cream dessert is to die for! We had dinner here just before christmas there were 15 of us I think and we had the thai style dinner which at first I was apprehensive about but it was gorgeous we got to taste dishes I wouldn't normally go for there was plenty for everyone and dessert was a fondue which was a great novelty. The food was delicious as always the service was great and everyone enjoyed. would highly recommend Mangetu to anyone although I haven't yet had dinner there but if the lunch is anything to go by I'm sure it won't disappoint.

This restaurant is around the corner from my work. My partner & I visited it one friday evening at 6.10pm. We had a show in the Olympia at 8pm so we'd just over an hour to dine. We'd a starter and main course each. Both delicious. This is a modern and very stylish looking restaurnat. The serving staff were extremely polite and efficient and the managerial staff were friendly. I wouldn't revisit here again purely on the treatment we received when paying. I was treating my partner who usually picks up the tab. He went to the bathroom whilst I paid with my card.. The lady taking my payment was rather uncourteous toward me and didn't address me throughout the whole transaction - I feel that if my partner were the one paying, her attitude would have been different... Don't ask why but I wasn't made to feel comfortable during the transaction and when I asked for my coat, it was handed to me with a scowl. Overall, decor lovely, food delicious, value ok and service perfect..... to a point.

Modern, stylish atmosphere with a solid menu. We have lunch here once a week. The service is good without being pushy. The food is always very fresh and the ingredients are of very good quality. Beef rendang with noodles is very comforting. If you go for the delicious Thai beef salad I would share a starter too as you will be hungry later on. Always in and out in an hour or less, good work lunch option. I always intend to go there for dinner but I'm not sure I could go twice in one week.

Had lunch here during work one day. Nice atmosphere only issue with the food is that they were a bit heavy handed with the coconut milk which I am not a huge fan of. We all tasted each others food and noted the same thing. Very modern surroundings.

I found this restaurant on Menupages when it first opened and as its local to where we usually go out I gathered a group of 4 of us to try it out. The place and atmosphere was lovely and the staff were freindly and chatty but not intrusive. We shared a number of starters between us and the same with mains and all dishes were lovely. Overall we all really enjoyed the evening.

We went to Mangetu for our Christmas party and I was blown away. Service was excellent and the food was as good as I've had in the city centre. We had a selection of starters and mains, all of which hit the spot, from the spring rools and dim sum to the sweet and sour chicken and garlicky beef. The green chicken curry was perfect and the highlight of the night. A nice touch was the dessert, which consisted of a chocolate fondue pot with a variety of fruit and shortbreads for dipping. I would definitely go back here with my wife or some friends. Actually, it would be a great place to start a night out because of the location and the fact that it's a nifty cocktail bar too!

A group of four of us went here on saturday night for dinner and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. We shared chicken satay, sweet and sour prawns and vegetable spring rolls to start then i had the massman curry which was gorg and others had the phad thai and sweet chilli chicken all of which were lovely. Including wine turned out to be €50 a head which was fine but slightly overpriced.

Myself and my boyfriend visited this restaurant last night, and were very impressed! It had the "wow" factor from the moment we walked in, with the trendy lighting and layout. We arrived at about 7:30, and it was pretty quiet - it started to get busier after about an hour though. The staff were very attentive and friendly, always coming around to top up our wine glasses at the right time! The food was absolutely gorgeous, I had Dim Sum for starters (tasted delicious), and Taminder & Honey Prawns for main course (again, delicious, the only complaint I would have is that there wasn't enough prawns! Only 5) My boyfriend got Chicken Satay for starters (tasted lovely, generous portion) and Green Chicken Curry for mains (very tasty with a nice kick to the curry). For dessert, we shared a Chocolate Fondue with a selection of fruits, shoertbread and profiteroles, which was again delicious! We topped the evening off with a couple of cocktails from their reasonably priced cocktail menu, and all of this including a bottle of Rose, came to a grand total of €113. We will definitely be coming back here again and telling our friends about it! A fantastic dining experience!

Myself and between 6 and 8 of my work colleagues have been going to this restaurant for lunch every Friday for the last three weeks and have all thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The food has always been delicious, the service very attentive and with the average main course at €12.00 it is excellent value. The venue itself is lovely and bright, spacious, tastefully decorated with real comfy leather chairs and round couches and tables for groups of 6 and more. I went there with another group of about 8 people one evening and again everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. We'll be back very soon!

Excellent lunch here, what great value, all mains €12 and all starters €5, couldn't be simpler. Delighted to see it so busy with plenty of large groups. the vegetable tempura was delicious and the chicken noodle main course was huge and impossible to finish no matter how much I wanted to. Definitely be back.

Very disappointed, I had previously posted a good review about this restaurant but after today felt I had to take it down. Went for a work lunch, there was about 10 of us at the table and I dont think anyone was happy leaving. Firstly we were not told when we booked that it was a Thai style serving so we were not allowed to choose our starters or main courses, all the food was just brought out and people had to take something from every plate. This then meant that by the time you got to eat, it was starting to go cold. Also, we were seated at 1 but didnt get our main until nearly 2. Previous experience with this restaurant was very good which is why it made today such a let down, would not recommend for the Christmas lunch and dont think i will be returning.

I think this place is odd The building is a typical nondescript 80s office block but inside the decor would be more akin to a fancy spa or nail salon than a restaurant. I think it all smacks of trying too hard. Not that its working, there was more staff than customers last Saturday so no atmosphere at all. Food was good though - i had a red chicken curry which had a good kick to it. A good place to remember for last minute bookings with a big group- - bring your own fun.

It was the first time that I had been to this restaurant and I have to say I was very impressed. It is well laid out and despite the somewhat open plan of the front tables, the noise levels were minimal...I didn't even realise there was a whole other section to the restaurant until I went to the bathroom! The service was good, although the waitress forgot about our extra order twice but other then that they were friendly and attentive. The food was very good, with a good variety of dishes. The meat was tender and very flavourful. The dessert was very tasty and would definitely recommend the fondue, with a lovely selection of fruit and biscuits. Cost was very reasonable and I plan to return in the near future!

Went here for a business lunch and was quite impressed with the interior decor, especially compared to the very dull exterior. Staff were attentive without being annoying and food was very good, we were the last to leave and although it was clear that they all wanted to go home until dinner, none of the staff made us feel rushed or pressurised into leaving.

Went here on Friday evening. Food is great. We both had the Thai vegetable soup to start. The ingredients were very fresh and it was tasty. Main courses were wonderful. My boyfriend had the drunken noodles and he loved them. I got duck stir fry which was also very good. Service was pretty good although when we asked to move tables because our table was wobbly (and couldn't be fixed; they tried a few things) they made such a fuss about it even though the restaurant was half empty and still was when we were leaving! I also didn't like the atmosphere, the place is really bright. Do not go here if you are looking for a romantic night out!!

Six of us had lunch here today and were very impressed though you wouldn't call it cheap given that a bottle of Tiger costs 5.50. They add a 'discretionary' 12.5% service charge to parties of 6 or more and of course like all Irish we just paid it though it has to be said the service and food were excellent. Surely it's more efficient for a waiter(ess) to serve six people at one table than three tables of two so you wonder why they stiff you for a service charge.

What a great surprise inside. This restaurant is in a really ugly building. But once you get inside it is delightful. Great layout, trendy and comfortable. The only downside to the decor was the items piled up at the emergency exit door. Don't think we would have made it out. Staff were very pleasant and attentive but not overly too much so. I hate being hovered over. The starters were excellent but the main courses were ordinary. Overall it was a pleasant evening and I will probably go back especially as there were a few interesting looking wines to try.

I love this place for lunch and have eaten here with friends and clients. For a very reasonable price you get the feeling you're in a very trendy, decent restaurant. A far more enjoyable experience than a carvery in one of the nearby pubs. I hope they change the menu soon though as I've had everything on it by now!

I ate here for dinner about a month ago and have been there on a few occasions since. I really like the decor and the ambience of the restaurant. The service was standard and the food was nice. The only thing that annoyed me was when you ordered the sweet and sour chicken you had to add on a portion of rice which felt a little bit like a take away.

A relatively new place near Baggot street, Mangetu offers a grand decor (japanese interior designer) with some very decent food for an affordable price. However, me and my colleague thought the Drunken Noodles were a bit too spicy for our liking. The desserts made up for it though. Mangetu will stay on my list to visit again for sure. Note to the restaurant; why charge for the prawn crackers.......?

Ate lunch here recently. situated in central location so should do good lunch trade but wasn't overly busy when we arrived. Nice decor, lots of wood and white colouring. Looked v modern. Menu offered some tasty options. Opted for mains of sweet & sour chicken & tamarind and honey prawns. Both very tasty. Reasonable value but not cheap @ €12. Service OK but not warmest. Would return again as overall enjoyed meal.

When there for with a bunch of friends on Friday. Lovely place and superb environment for dinner and chatting. Think we must be very loud yesterday. But the overall environment and good food allow us to have a good dinner from 7.30pm and stay on chatting until close to 11pm. Food is good too.

Had dinner here with my Mum and sister. Place is decorated very nicely and the staff are friendly and attentive. We found it very good value for money, we were there for a long time too just chatting and were not bothered. The duck pancakes are gorgeous and also the Chilli Prawns. Id recommend this for both big groups and couples.

Really nice setting, great food and good service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. I choose it based on the good reviews it got on menu pages and I was not disappointed. The chocolate fondue is great for dessert. Great cocktail list too.

This is a great one to find - somewhat of a surprise from the exterior but beautiful inside. The service was attentive and friendly, food fast to arrive and delicious. lots of tables for groups so ideal for a few people on a night out, also felt intimate enough for a cosy dinner for two.

First visit to Mangetu last night - really nice. The service was fantastic - really impressive. Shared the duck starter and it was lovely - the whole restaurant appreared to have ordered it. Beautiful interior. Went as part of a couple but think it would be a fantastic place for a group.

I have to recommend this restaurant very highly, it just falls short of 5 stars. We went on Thursday evening last week, at short notice we got a table for 2 for 8 o'clock. Initial impressions were very good as the decor seemed very light and spacious with a sense of privacy often missing from new restaurants. On perusing the menu I noticed that they had crispy aromatic duck with BBQ sauce, I checked with the waiter and the BBQ sauce was actually Hoisin sauce. We ordered a 1/4 of a duck to start and it was gorgeous, perfectly crispy and I have had it before as Peking duck. I then had the beef rending and my girlfriend had the Phad thai chicken. The beef was excellent and the chicken was very good. I must also mention the service which was exactly right never too much but always there when you needed it.

We went here recently and opted for the Early Bird Menu, which offered two courses for approx 19 euro. The restaurant interior is gorgeous in lovely shades of white and cream with nice lighting. We chose the duck salad and chicken and coconut soup for starters to be followed by chicken, basil and chilli and a duck red curry. All the food was punchy and tasty but service was a little on the slow side. The chicken, basil and chili could have had more kick, but the other dishes were quite good. As I was driving, the interesting looking cocktail menu was put to one side, but given the good food, I think I'll be back for a second go. Two early birds and two large bottles of sparkling water bought the bill to 45 euro.

Great potential - a few teething problems - the larb ped rated as medium was laced with more chilli than anything else I have ever tasted, but the curries are lovely and we all loved the chocolate fondu

I chose this restaurant having read the positive reviews. The food was extremely good! I would not go back as a small party. The seating arrangements for pairs is not good. Tables for 2 are squeezed together. Unless you are at the end of a row it is hard to get into your seat if you are on the inside. You would not consider having a private conversation. It is a pity because the food was great. Having said that, I would definitely go back as part of a group.

I ate here on Friday with my boyfriend and quite enjoyed it. The setting is really nice and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. It was quiet so we were given a booth and our meal was enjoyed at a leisurely pace. We had the duck and the spring rolls to start; the duck was not what we expected at all being more of a salad than lettuce wraps and with a strong taste of lemongrass however we enjoyed them. I had the chicken pad Thai for main and my partner had the Mongolian lamb and both were delicious. Our only complaint was that the portions were quite small, my boyfriend was still hungry after his! But overall it was a very enjoyable evening in a lovely setting.

I've been here a few times now and each visit has been most enjoyable. The food is delicious, the wine is good, the service and the atmosphere is perfect for either a group of friends or a romantic dinner. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants at the moment.

Amazing food, great service and great ambiance. I ate here with 15 friends and everyone was thrilled with their dishes. My monkfish in green curry was the best I've ever had and the teriyaki beef was also very popular. Despite my booking a table for 12 people, the restaurant fit in an extra 3 people with no fuss, and the service was great. I hope to return here very very soon!

I've had lunch here a couple of times recently and have left happy and satisfied on both occasions. Decor and music are pretty cool, staff are smiling and helpful. At €12 for each main course (including rice or noodles) it represents some pretty good value for money. Beef Rendang is worth a try.

We went to Mangetu Friday evening. The decor is brilliant, the service excellent and the food is great! There is a "can-do" attitude -- there exist no problems about changing the ingredients in a dish you'd like, the waiters are exceptionally attentive without being intrusive... we did not have starters and were glad we didn't--the mains were more than enough (and I had prawns)... with the two starters and a bottle of red, our bill was 60 euro... very reasonable for Dublin 4! I heartily recommend this restaurant.

13 of us were there last sat for a friend's bday and all of us had a fantastic meal and the atmosphere was really calm and relax. The waitress was really friendly and very helpful and the foods were served in the middle of the table so all of us were able to try all 7/8 main courses. Mangetu is definitely worth going.

Great restaurant. Decor was really different, big effort made with it, very modern. Service was excellent, very attentive but without being annoying. We were asked if we wanted our food presented quickly or if we wanted a more relaxing meal - very rare. Wine list good. Cocktails amazing!! Food perfect, although when they say it's spicey, they mean it! The only minor difficulty for me is that it's a little pricey and it's not smack bang in the middle of town, but this may also be a plus point depending what you're looking for.

I went here with a large group for lunch. Didn't know what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised with the level of service that was provided. Manageress/hostess was really welcoming, staff were very efficient. Had yellow curry, which I would not normally have in a Thai restaurant and really enjoyed it, couldn't get enough! Lunch time menu is really good value although I'm not sure I'd pay the full prices. Atmosphere is lovely and relaxing, surroundings are beautiful. Would definitely go out of my way to go here for lunch or early bird menu.

7 of us had lunch here last week. One of the group has special dietary requirements and they were happy to prepare a dish specially suited to her. All had main courses only and the food was really good, service was excellent and great value at €12 per main. Highly recommended.

15 of us went to Mangetu for lunch last week and all really enjoyed it. Even though due to the size of our group it took a while for the mains to arrive, the manager took off the service charge from our bill, which was quite decent. As for the food, it was exceptionally good! Starters might look too small for some, but there was no compromise in taste. Same with the mains - very savoury, authentic and delicious. Will definitely go back again.

We ate here on Saturday night. The decor is very modern and funky. The service was good, the waitress very friendly. I had chicken satay to start, which was tasty. The boyf was thinking of having the tempura and asked the waitress if it was fresh, he was assured it was and ordered it. It wasn't, it was frozen which was disappointing. I chose the green curry while he had the red curry, both of which were lovely. A couple of minor gripes, the service between starter and main was too quick. I felt like the plates had only been cleared when the main arrived. We were sitting directly opposite the cocktail bar and our conversation was drowned out a couple of times by the blender the barman was using.

My girlfriend went in here on a recommendation from a friend and we weren't disappointed. The staff were excellent, in particular the manageress on duty. Very chatty and welcoming. The food was some of the best Thai Ive tasted in Dublin. It was a bit quiet but that will be short lived. Well worth a visit and cant wait till their take away service begins. I will definitely be back.

Vibrant decor, very polite and attentive staff and great food. The Lamb Masaman was particularly good and the Teriyaki Beef was also fantastic. Servings do look a little small on initial inspection however we were both quite satisfied and had no room for dessert. Prices are normal Dublin prices but overall we felt the whole experience was good value for money. Overall we were very happy with the service and the food and will be visiting again.

Just had lunch in Mangetu. Lovely concept, great staff, really nice décor, nice big circular booths for groups, really clean, really tasty stuff but the portion size was unbelievably small. When my main course of Drunken Noodles came out I thought I had been given a starter!! I would have eaten 3 of them, and at €14.50 a pop that would have made for quite an expensive lunch! Interestingly enough I checked out their website and in their Kent branch that same item only costs £5.50, just over half the price of it here in Ireland! I would still recommend it, but make sure you order a starter too, and don’t starve yourself all day in anticipation!
