Visited on a Monday lunch time as a party of two. While I have been a regular there for many years, my experience yesterday would not make me want to go back. It was very cold, the waitress was very unfriendly and difficult, we had to wait for a very long time to pay, and the selection of food on the menu was not very good (I eat a gluten free dairy free diet, and it is usually possible to find at least one reasonably priced, suitable option, but it was not in the Berkeley Brasserie).

I went to the Berkeley Brasserie recently with some work colleagues for lunch and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chicken liver pate which was DELICIOUS. As someone that is obsessed with pate, this was definitely up there with some of the best. As a main, I ordered the grilled breast of chicken with colcannon mash, gravy & cranberries. This was tasty and definitely hit the spot in terms of what I wanted for my lunch! Dessert was frozen raspberries with white chocolate soup which I've had in many restaurants before the it was definitely up to scratch. In terms of atmosphere, the restaurant wasn't full but there was a lovely vibe about the place and it was great to be back in the hotel for lunch. Would recommend.
